There should be option for folks to calm the fuck down and enjoy life.
You all are so angry over something so insignificant.
Then again, that's more a real sentiment vs a trolly one...

If you bet on entropy you're gonna be correct eventually but if we count all the "THE END IS NIGH!" proclamations against them it doesn't engender any particular confidence this time around.

Let 'em limp on into obscurity. Technically INEPT. Seessh a little harsh on Terminator Force are we? Thank you for the levity! Really. I have been so negative here lately I wouldn't blame anyone for just flaming me or ignoring me flat out. Bioware have been a huge part of my gaming life for a LOT of years and Anthem has kind of crushed me. I know that is no excuse but I just feel wounded.
And Terminator Force ... LOVE that dude even if I disagree with most of what he says. Don't care, LOVE HIM, don't have to agree with anything he types ... he's just chill and cool. Unlike me, I have been just stupified, angry, and hateful since the Anthem demo.

Trust me, I understand...ME3 shattered my soul in ways only those who've experienced the loss of a loved one might understand. Was it foolish of me to care THAT deeply about a video game franchise? Yes, absolutely it was. But I did. I was bitter, filled with hate, betrayal, and swearing to the moons and stars that I would never buy another THING with the Bioware Label on it. I was honestly in a very dark place, a very unhealthy place. I had to make a choice. I chose to step away. Instead of sit around here, being constantly reminded of my pain and misery I decided to just leave and get myself togeather. I figured the least I could do, was not sit around here making others miserable with my constant, unending ranting of how disgusted I was. I honestly almost drove away several IRL friends because I just wouldn't shut the hell up about how pissed off I was. I decided to let the folks around here discuss the things they enjoy in peace. I didn't want to be a downer. Finally, years later after DAI...the pain had finally dulled just enough, that I was able to come back here with enough calmness and civility to hold rational conversations again. But even now to this day, I avoid trying to talk about ME as a whole, because I've come to some frankly soul crushing conclusions about a series that meant everything to me once. i don't even play ME anymore, I'm simply not able to. Andromeda was the first ME related thing I had done since the Citadel DLC, and it was nothing but more disappointment, only further driving me away from ME, to the point where now? I no longer care at all, if ME ever returns. Which, if you knew just how badly I LOVED ME before? You would realize how tragic that is. I avoid the ME section of BSN, because at this point in my life, I have very little positive things to say anymore. I don't want to be one of those people who just sits around talking about a game I hate, constantly whining about how shit something is. Because that is simply unpleasent, and just not fun for anyone involved. Instead I vastly prefer debating politics and the rights of social casts over in the Dragon Age section. Those debates can be fun, if ultimately pointless because no one ever changes their mind lol. So maybe, you just need to take a step back for a bit. Regather yourself like I once had to. Take your mind off the thing that brings you anguish until the pain dulls a bit. It's no fun and not healthy turning into a miserable grouch due to a video game...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write that. I feel very similar and I actually don't find it off base to get that wrapped up in fiction. Imagination is kind of 'life' for me .. even though I have a job, friends, work hard every week... Some of the 'things' that matter most to me are fictional.

Take your mind off the thing that brings you anguish until the pain dulls a bit. It's no fun and not healthy turning into a miserable grouch due to a video game... I completely feel you, bruv. I remember when DA2 came out and I was very negative towards it, because I loved Origins and DA2 had nothing in common with it, other than the name. It was a different game, a different sub-genre that bastardized what I loved about DA:O. And when ME3 came out, how it wasted the potential of everything it had built up with ME1 and ME2, so terribly squandered that, frankly, any one of us could have done it better. Maybe not a better conclusion, but definitely a more fun ride. And when I argued that there was so much left unaddressed, by ME3, I was told that the stories had ended, time to move on, attachment is a bad thing and nobody cared about the old crew and friends we made along the way. Most of them barely explored in just one game, because Bioware half assed their stories in half a game. Just so we could get Liam, Cora and Peebee. If there was ever a character that made me miss Anomen Delryn, that was Liam. If Bioware made a game where the crew was just Anomen, Karth, Kaidan and Jacob instead, I would jump at the opportunity just so I could have not met Liam.
At this point, I do not trust Bioware to write a new MC, or new NPCs. I would have a beer or more, with anyone from the Normandy crew, even Jacob, but from the characters from DA:I and on, I would probably just share one with Blackwall. I do not wish to be associated with the rest of these people and to whoever does, I am sorry, but I probably wouldn't wanna associate with you, either. My last hope is that they return to the old crew and write them semi-competently, within the confines of the established characters and if they fuck that up as well, then there's nothing left for me here.

Just so I'm sure I'm following, you didn't like ME3 before the ending? Why not, exactly? Make your case. And the italed is suppose to be ridiculous hyperbole, right? ( There are so many crazy positions on this board that I don't have a high level of confidence when sorting the rhetoric from the substance.) I'm also not clear on which different subgenre DA2 supposedly belongs to. The bolded strikes me as, bluntly, straight-up nonsense. I never saw anyone make such an argument, and I don't think you did either. Although I suppose it depends on which "unaddressed" issues we're talking about. BTW, it's spelled "Carth." Well, since you don't respect Cassandra, I wouldn't want to have a beer with you either.

Just so I'm sure I'm following, you didn't like ME3 before the ending? Why not, exactly? Make your case. And the italed is suppose to be ridiculous hyperbole, right? ( There are so many crazy positions on this board that I don't have a high level of confidence when sorting the rhetoric from the substance.) Yes, I didn't like ME3 and I had more problems with it than just the ending. Everything besides Tuchanka and even Rannoch, to some extent lacked polish. The game was technically inferior to previous installments with a variety of bugs and glitches on launch, more so than any other Bioware game I had played to the day, so much so that it resembled more an Obsidian game on release, the worst journal system I've ever seen in an RPG, completely sidelining the ME2 crew, because they couldn't accommodate a larger role for them, Kai Leng, cutting down dialogue choices, needing to play MP on release to get the "good" endings, when we were promised we wouldn't, the ludicrous amount of MP content that got recycled into the SP to pad out the game and an inventory/loadout system that frankly needed to have never made it past the design board. And that's just a few of my gripes. I can do this all day. The game needed a minimum of another year in development to be good, 2 years to be great. I'm also not clear on which different subgenre DA2 supposedly belongs to. Well, it definitely wasn't an RPG/RTSwP like Origins was. Now it was Button = Awesome, apparently. Feel free to fill me in on that one. The bolded strikes me as, bluntly, straight-up nonsense. I never saw anyone make such an argument, and I don't think you did either. The bolded part is an argument that I frequently hear, even in this forum. "Their stories are done, nothing to go back to the Milky Way for, why would you even want to, it's over, this is the new shit now". Something to that extent. Even Mac Walters himself told us "it's attachment, it's bad, get over it". And it really strikes me as ironic, coming from Mac. If you see the stuff Mac has put out over the years, he really loves working on Comics. You know, the medium that has had the same characters going on adventures, in most cases, for well over thirty years now. Just saying. Also, I really like the part where you indirectly call me a liar. Really subtle, that. Gives me a real impression that you care and believe me and want to engage in some genuine conversation with me, but I guess it's better to assume I'm a troll, right? Heaven forbid someone had a dissenting opinion somewhere about something. Although I suppose it depends on which "unaddressed" issues we're talking about. Well, some of them can't be addressed anymore, since Bioware killed off Legion, Thane and Mordin. Not like they were anyone's favourite character and some of the best written characters Bioware ever made. At least as far as Mordin and Legion is concerned. How about addressing Miranda's strange "mutation" though, or the fact that Orianna may be facing the same problem, or that Orianna isn't just her sister, since she was made from Miranda, but technically her daughter as well. Or the fact that Jack has a multiple personality disorder and her "sisters" that she tattooed on her arm, are her fragmented personalities that at some point died off to Jack and how even Subject Zero, her original persona, died to Jack. How Samara uses the Justicar code as a crutch to justify the terrible things she's done? The discrimination Grunt faces as a tankborn, back in Tuchanka and what being tankborn means in a post genophage Tuchanka. How Jack and Miranda can, through their rivalry, find mutual respect for each other, without directly competing with the other and for once explore a meaningful friendship between two women so fundamentally different and yet similar in many ways, while also passing the Bechdle test in the video game genre. Just a few. And even through addressing these, more stuff can come up, as we explore these characters deeper. BTW, it's spelled "Carth." Thanks. Always happy to know you have my back. Well, since you don't respect Cassandra, I wouldn't want to have a beer with you either. No, buddy, I didn't think you would.

What conspiracy? That's just from people who love the game but can't articulate an objective counter argument to valid and self-evident flaws in the game. Thus, the easiest way out is to label negative criticism as conspiracy theories. Makes them feel better.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

Yeah, you got a problem with that? No, no problem with that. We know more about you as a result. If you were my neighbor, how tall would I build my fence? So glad you're not my neighbor. Also, your response was pretty "internet tough guy". Are you going to jump through our screens and show us what for? Teach us a lesson about life and how realistic and well-written a character Liam is even though anyone with any sort of combat background would have either locked him up for the duration, or killed him, after his best derp? Yes, you sympathize with childish meatheads that act inappropriate and are immature for their age, and you like characters that are written this poorly, because it resembles your NPC #8283666291076 lifestyle.

Would it be in the wrong to create a "Are you a Bioware white knight?" Thread?
Or
"Are you a Biodrone?"
