Would be nice to actually carry that type of play style in DA. Because I do sometimes get confused in DA and rush up ahead to attack in close range with a mage... What’s the confusion? My Knight-Enchanter was right up there in the enemy’s face. So was my Pyromancer, just drop a fire glyph at their feet, watch them go sky high. Same with my Rift Mage, although Stonefist was just as fun as fire glyphs.

Didn't read the posts in front so I'll just add in two bits.
- take a leaf from DOS, make the environment a part in battles.
- have oommmpphhhhh in the battle spells. That makes the player relish and enjoy the power of those spells that are powerful, this include sound effects. make it a blast, not a whimper.

Not an ability, specialization or battle mechanic, but a feature I'd like to see in DA4 nonetheless. I'm playing Divinity Original Sin 2 and each of your party members has their own story arc and agenda. Sometimes, when you strike up a conversation with an NPC for the first time, a party member will interrupt and say they want to have a word with the NPC first. You can decline, and risk some kind of karma/approval penalty (maybe, it's not a certainty), or accept and let the party member have their palaver. This can have some quite unexpected consequences, from revealing a new secret or side quest, to your party member murdering the NPC in cold blood. The latter screwed me over at least one time, when the NPC that was murdered turned out to be the merchant for the one kind of skill book I wanted most.
TL;DR, party members pursue their own agendas when it comes to the initial conversation with an NPC. Use this to randomize the experience when compared to players with different party make-ups, or for replay, and as another way to introduce new lore, secrets or side quests.

gamerant.com/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-combat-sekiro-comparison/Reading an article on Jedi Fallen Order, well this article, and it does advance an interesting idea. Namely no stamina bars. I don't remember if I ever went on my rant about adrenaline bars or stamina bars but this is something new and might have some interesting implications for DAN...I wonder if BioWare will be looking at either Fallen Order or Sekiro. (As an aside I could see a bit of a problem when trying to incorporate ranged combat since I do not think JFO would have bows and the like).

Night-vision as a racial trait for Elves and Dwarves, which they do possess according to lore.
