Montreal was being turned into part of Motive, which takes a lot longer Speculation, you have no actual way of knowing that and no evidence to back up that claim. Then Motive was all hands on deck for getting one of EA’s big games out (though a few were still able to support MEA MP) Speculation. EA DICE was the developer and Motive was merely a collaborator. Even so Criterion is listed higher on the list of collaborators, meaning Motive had the least amount of work to do with Battlefront. Even so, Motive was mostly involved in another Star Wars project, their main project, with Visceral Games, which was officially canceled in October of 2017. So, according to you, Bioware Montreal, who had just released a very profitable game for EA, was forced to close down, in order to be merged with Motive, to work in a title that they were complete foreign bodies, instead of taking the people in Motive that were already working in a Star Wars game that EA weren't confident enough to begin with and that ended with the project's cancellation. No, Motive demonstrably had the man power to collaborate to the extent EA wanted them to, it just wasn't profitable for them to keep Montreal alive after the critical failure of Andromeda's launch and its failure to grasp that exponential growth the industry enjoyed. Edmonton was busy with Anthem, and Austin SWTOR. So no, they didn’t have an entire studio available. Austin wasn't that busy with SW:ToR, what with their first big content upgrade, which I've been told by people here isn't that big to begin with, coming this October, two and a half years after Andromeda's release. Technically you're speculating too. As for SWTOR that is Austin's only project constantly updating and patching plus new content rollout. It takes time to make expansions and new content. The released a new planet not that long ago.

Technically you're speculating too No more than Hanako, but it makes no less sense, either. As for SWTOR that is Austin's only project constantly updating and patching plus new content rollout. It takes time to make expansions and new content. The released a new planet not that long ago. I thought that was part of the content that was due to release in October? Or is that in addition to that?

A new planet and story released months ago Well, I wouldn't know, honestly. All I remember is that I had a conversation with another user here, I forget who, where I was told that the update scheduled for October will be the first update the game will get in 3 years. The one Casey talked about in the latest Bioware blog. Which, from what I've been told, will be a planet and some story content. Could this be it? Was it delayed to October because of Anthem? Was it already released and this is in addition to that? The situation was not made clear to me and I'm not into ToR enough to know what I am looking for, to search for it myself. If you'd be so kind as to inform me, I'd be much obliged.

This is an old article back when Onslaught was first announced it used to be scheduled for September. www.google.com/amp/s/www.pcgamer.com/amp/star-wars-the-old-republic-is-getting-a-free-expansion-called-onslaught-in-september/
