Expect a fairly orchestrated event. Don't push the envelope, don't do a speed run to see rubber banding, kill the monsters that give you the most loot drops.... you know, that kind of thing.... the usual show.
If this mission design was done right, I expect few complaints from the players.... if done right. For once, I'd like to see this as evidence that Bio can show us the studio still has the will and smarts to wow us off the starting gate. I really do.

Since I almost always have a late starting time at work on fridays I tend to not miss any Anthem streams. Hopefully they are ready to show us more than the Sunken but even if not a new stronghold in the rotation is great.

They'll cover the stronghold, some of the new weapons coming in the next patch, some balance changes will be addressed, and the loot situation will remain the same. Ben will probably also say something that people dislike and anger chat.

Jesse Anderson @darokaz A fiber line was cut somewhere (outside the building) and it’s going to take some time for our ISP to fix. We have backup internet, but when testing the stream it kept freezing 🙁

Someone cut a big fibre cable up in Edmonton it seems. I thought the stream would be from Austin but apparently Edmonton has a serious fibre cable damage. According to someone in Zurilias stream who has access to this kind of data.

And the resulting Twitch chat was pretty brutal, as you can image. Some folks kept an eye for a while to share the tweets explaining the situation. But no sign of anyone from BioWare to let people logging in for the stream know what was going on. Would have been nice to be fair...

Would have been nice to be fair... Some goodwill is extended from the community if the company has great communication and transparency and I can't remember the last time Bioware had those things. This silence or mysteriousness is just another of those things that make them seem increasingly corporate. How long would it have taken for someone to give their twitch peeps, those taking the time out of their day to join them, a heads up? But no, I expect any response needs to be run through PR, EA's PR, legal, numerous other offices...

Ah, yes, "internet". A global computer network allegedly allowing communication between devices. We have dismissed that claim.

Who actually believes their excuse? I cut line does not take a week to resolve. They are clearly buying time because they don't have shit or what they actually have is so bad/buggy that it would have been an embarrassment to show (kind of par for course with this terrible game).

We had a data cable cut from the front of my workplace a few years ago and that took about a week to fix so....🤗 Can't say I enjoyed the emergency 4 hour drive to the other office location and the incessant irate calls from customers but not much I could do either.

Hell, they have been pretty quick with a lot of feedback and videos over the past few months. I'm not sure how more transparent you can be unless you think they are lying on purpose. In which case, no form of transparency would be acceptable for many because they would assume the worst and the studio is lying. I find it very unlikely that they would wait to cancel something at the last minute unless there was an unforeseen issue, and the state of the game they wished to show on stream not working would likely have been known ahead of time if it was true.

Communication is the exchange of information, if that information isn't being directed at the people who would most need that information, like the people on the stream, then yes their communication is shit. If the information WAS communicated to people on the stream by Bioware personnel ... then blame Sofa, I got the information from him *shrugs* Transparency isn't related to this issue, it's just a general comment about how in the dark the consumer is about Bioware games and the general feeling of "being misled" people feel.

So when Bioware showcased the Inquisition keep system (Crestwood), then quietly took it out of the game without telling anyone, gamers were completely aware what was going on, were they?
