I was so proud of myself when I did it. I wish we saw her in the sequel. Maybe next game when they make it since canonically she is alive. Have you played the DLC for Mankind Divided? I've been thinking about purchasing it, since I have Mankind Divided, but wasn't sure if it was worth the money. System Rift, at least, is worth it. You get to team up with Frank Pritchard again.

On the original topic, being that this is something I've gotten into many heated debates on before, I'll give my opinion.
I have always been of the opinion that there is nothing inherently wrong with depicting nudity and/or sexuality in artistic medium; it serves purposes beyond titillation & even if titillation is part of the purpose, there's nothing wrong with that in and of itself. It can be used to gratuitous and I don't think that has a place in a Bioware game, but if it's inline with there artistic vision, there's nothing wrong with including it.
I would be surprised if the restrictions on content that Sony are imparting would cover anything Bioware's included in any of the Dragon Age games. I could perhaps see some of Andromeda's scenes as rising to the level of a reasonable, level-headed restriction - giving the benefit of the doubt that the people setting the standard are both reasonable and level-headed, and also with the note that personally I wouldn't restrict those scenes but I can see how someone might. But I certainly wouldn't include any of Inquisition's scenes in that light. Key difference, in my mind, being that some of Andromeda's scenes actually show people having sex where as Inquisition's scenes don't, they just show people being naked right after having sex(and often, right before having sex again), with a fade to black over the act itself.
If Bioware chooses to not include explicit nudity in their games going forward - either because of restrictions like these or simply because it doesn't line up with their artistic vision - then that's fine, I'm not going to throw a fit over that. But what kills me are the scenes that try to have it both ways; the scenes that by all rights should feature the character be naked but instead they're wearing their underwear. Main example I usually throw to with this is Traynor's romance scenes in ME3, where she's showering in her bra & panties. If you don't want to show nudity, that's fine. There are creative & inventive uses of camera angles & props that film & tv have been using for decades to film nude scenes without actually showing a nipple.
Main thing I want out of the romance scenes are scenes that convey the proper mood and feel and emotion of the story being told, that are logical and sensible within context, and that feel natural. I don't want romances to amount to two characters agreeing to have sex, exit stage right, fade to black while a suggestive musical cue plays, fade back in, the characters walk back in from stage right, retake their assigned positions, and after having had sex for an indeterminate amount of time without apparently speaking a word to each other, nor did they speak to each other wile getting dressed, nor while walking back to the spot where they were talking when they decided to have sex in the first place, talk about how amazing it was & how glad their relationship has got to this point. And I don't want scenes of two people who really should be naked very clearly be not naked.
There are options and work-arounds to where you don't have to have a grown woman showering in her lacy black bra & panties, nor do you have to imply some bizarre world where people lose the ability to speak and converse with one another while nude, and you can conform to whatever restrictions Sony puts on your content. It just requires one to be creative in how you write, stage, and block a scene. And Bioware hasn't always hit the nail on the head with that.

Why people always try to justify their pervisions and clearly overgrown lust, with the same fucking trope always and always.
"ouuuuh they are censoring sex, why not violence and death, they are more awful, bua bua i'm a cry baby"
fucking double standard hypocrites.

Well, I don't know if Larry Flynt actually said it but Woody Harrelson in his brilliant depiction of Larry Flynt, who, to be fair, is certainly a man possessed of perversion and overgrown lust, put it quite eloquently in laying it out a in a bit more detail(though I'm still going to paraphrase as it's been years since I've seen the movie); killing another human being, in most circumstances, is illegal. Having sex is, in most circumstance, is legal. Yet depictions of violence - both actual violence and simulated violence for the purposes of entertainment - is far less restricted than depictions of sex - both actual sex(which is shown virtually only in hardcore pornogrophy) and simulated sex for the purposes of entertainment(most media up to and including soft-core pornography).
And while I'm of the opinion that it's a perfectly valid and accurate observation to point out that we live in a culture that glorifies and glamorizes violence while at the same time having what can only be described as a very confused view on sexuality, I think it falls into the same trap that the argument of alcohol & cigarettes being basically as bad as weed but still legal has; roughly true, but the people who you're arguing against are going to see that as justification to ban both things rather than reason to unban the one.
There's nothing wrong with sexuality, there's nothing wrong with feeling sexual desire, there's nothing wrong with depicting sexuality in media. Many great pieces of art throughout history - be it painting, sculpture, literature, theater, film, and television are based around exploring human sexuality, celebrating it at it's best and exposing it at it's worst.
And I personally believe that video games as an artistic medium should be afforded that same right to explore and depict these concepts and that censoring them wholesale is fundamentally wrong; it treats the whole industry as illegitimate and infantilizes those who play the games as not being able to handle the subject matter. So I disagree with any form of censorship by console manufacturers on principle.
But at the end of the day Sony isn't the government, they're a corporation and they're going to do what they want and they have the right to do it. And however much I disagree with the decision, I'm fully aware of how ineffective a boycott would be if I had the energy needed to devote to one given all the other things in the world I have to get up in arms about. Without knowing what the specific restrictions are, all I can say is that if they are absurd, they'll likely get rolled back on with sufficient fan backlash, and if they aren't, they'll be an annoying reality that I'll likely be willing to live with.

It's the same reason for which prudish people try to justify their inability to look at a naked body with the trope "ouuuuuuh, it is totally unnecessary!!!"
Yes, we are born naked, yes sex is part of the life of (almost) each one of us and there is nothing wrong in showing it, like there is absolutely nothing wrong in showing violence or death.
This world will become a better place when people will finally learn to live and let live.

anyway, i'll retire to keep observing people getting fed up because Sony has decided to censor nudity pixels. (The entitlement of some persons it's quite astonishing) In all honestly it's quite hilarious. i'm more interested in your avatar, from what game is that character? at first I was thinking Final Fantasy XIV, but I don't think i'm right.

Anyway (and just to try to stay in topic), funny thing is: she's not romenceable and people are desperately asking Larian to make her so.
I hope they won't hear them, she's just perfect like that.

I just skipped it, I always skipped that game, it's just a chore to be honest. as for the "topic" i'm just starting to dislike romance in general on games, so for me as if they want to remove it, I certaintly won't miss the feature.

More than romances I am fed up of all the fuss that people make around them.
Personally I believe they're a nice feature, but since I don't consider them essential I can live either with or without them. Especially if they're just going to bring a lot of trouble and bitching to the devs. Make them when no one is around or is expecting them. Do people know that there are romances in Expedition: Conquistador? I wasn't aware of that until I bumped into one.

If you have personality and thicc skin to do what you want with that feature, then if devs want to include it, I won't say no. but the more i think, i just simply see trouble and more trouble, and doesn't feel like it's worth the effort. To much entitled imbeciles out there demading and shit like if they were someone important. I simply don't see the gains to be honest. but as i said, if you have the guts, personality and thicc skin to do what you desire with this feature, then i wouldn't mind this feature to be included in games.

Don’t see how people who are enthusiastic about romance are any more entitled than those passionate about any other aspect of the game. They aren't, but since this is a thread about romances we are concentrating on them. Rest assured that if we were in a thread concerning another aspect of the game I'd say the same exact things about people who moan about them. Anyway, I don't think that to be passionate = to be self entitled. Self entitlement is when people demand that a product must always suit their taste and then begin to cry when it is not. People should learn to stop thinking that every thing must be always for everyone and learn to respect the product that the devs have envisioned. In the end they always have the final word since they can vote with their wallet and decide to buy or not to buy it. But once again, I think I am asking too much and I am still deviating from the main topic which is about censorship on nudity in games. And I reiterate that any form of censorship is morally wrong (unless you are not breaking any law, of course).

Going back and looking at the linked article again I feel like this is all getting a bit overblown. I wouldn't consider anything Bioware has done as "sexually explicit". A phrase used repeatedly in the article and Sony's statements. The only example given in the article was one of those cheap-o anime adult novel games.
Since they have no written guidelines I can understand the speculation but it feels to me like the target of this policy is going to be smaller studio and indie games made for the sole purpose of "one handed" play. Not AAA game releases that might include a little boob showing or romance companions.
I suppose the possibility exists, but I can't see Sony telling someone like CDPR they aren't going to launch Cyberpunk on their console. It would just end up being suicide for their console as they blacklist more and more games and developers.

Right there you have two of the biggest money makers in the business. I mean who the hell at Sony is gonna tell these devs 'well, you sold us 20 million units, but if you could just ease up on the cleavage..."

I wish I was an edgy mature boi who hates the kissy-kissy and likes ableist slurs.
