I’ll admit I haven’t touched Anthem since I got back from Hawaii. Been spending almost all my free time playing Stellaris on the Xbox. Such a great game. Thank you for mentioning this game. I love 4x games, and I never heard of this one. I'm looking up how to play this game right now, and so far it looks very fun. I think I'll give it a go. I have vids on my YouTube, they’re unedited and directly from my Twitch streams. Game is a butt-ton of fun.

Daaaaamn, I didn't realize it was out on Xbox!!!!!! Thanks for the tip. No prob. I recommend shelling the extra cash for Deluxe Edition. Still only $60CDN, the updates are worth it. Utopia will be another good one next month.

I guess the same can be said for most games though. Cheers.

4x games have a micro-management issue once you reach mid-level + in the game. At this point, I'd like to issue macro-management directives but still have the option to micro-manage for problem areas. The game becomes more of a simulation with macro-management as you go from a tactical to a strategic level.

If that's what goes for an argument these days... Do you still play ALL of your games you've ever played frequently? No, eventually you get bored (or at least played out) of everything.
This "live-service" game is 2 months old and most have gotten bored and exhausted any kind of enjoyment from the sparse content. I would agree with your sentiment if this were not a game based on a 10 year plan to provide post launch content. Have you seen the new updated roadmap? Not a lot to be hopeful for. I can't think of too many AAA GaaS games that have dropped off so quickly. The fact that Bioware is completely silent while their game is being crucified and/or abandoned is only making things worse.
I wish I could enjoy this game. I am actually jealous that you people actually can and not feel brokenhearted at what Bioware has become.

In hindsight, it appears that EA was more concerned about their financial Qtr than with the state of the game at launch. Unfortunately, the state of the game is why Bio has gone silent about their vision of a future Anthem Roadmap. My big question is "will EA continue its support for this game?".

Perhaps the problem is having such an attachment to a game company. I enjoy biowares games for the most part, but it's based on the context of the game, not out of studio devotion. Same way I operate for any company, loyalty to a said company was always an odd notion to me.

My big question is "will EA continue its support for this game?". Exactly this is the question I am asking myself as well. My guess is that they'll keep it up for at least a year, just to save face but in that time something REALLY good better happens to bring people back into the fold. Otherwise, I don't see EA dumping money into a support team for long.
Not sure if eventually switching it to F2P might help though (not anytime soon but in a year or so).

To better games. This one is rotten garbage hence the failure and why Bioware is moving on to DA4, they themselves know the turd they came up with it. It's like they don't tire of releasing failures, two in a row. I'm sorry for those who still take leaps to defend this.

You should check out the Today in Anthem thread, plenty of people enjoy it. We enjoy the broken mess. Don't mean it ain't broken. Although, I must abject against "rampant bugs", it really isn't that buggy anymore. Although they usually do break more than they fix The only main issue (besides content, but that's a whole other story - pun intended -) is the loot. And that also affects stats not mattering, and no progression. Nightmare, as in, for PR and bioware as a whole? Yes. Nightmare, as in, a nightmare of a game? Nah. It's good, simple fun. Also, due to the whole silent treatment, I must admit I am getting more annoyed by the not knowing what they're up to and if they ever are going to fix their mess. Hey I never said it was flawless. XD

It is a fun game. I got it ages ago, but didn't play it much, then just started it up the last few months. It's changed so much since launch. The megacorp expansion changes gameplay a ton.

Not as epic as Eve online's epic ship battle, which resulted in 3000 ships destroyed. And many consider it one of the most boring games you could play. I don't see what a thousand ship battle would do to address people's concerns that the mid-game is dead *shrugs*

I separate bioware and anthem now. Bioware as a company has finished for me. Done. Over. No trust left anymore. Kaput. Anthem itself is a fun game to play - for now - and as long as it amuses me, I'll play it.
