the ability to name my weapons Ugh, I hate this. Asking me to name my character is enough of a chore, to name a pet on top of that is bordering on impossible. I don't give a shit what my weapons are called, just so long as they work. All my crafted weapons/armor have whatever default name the game comes up with for them. The crafting process takes long enough already; I don't need to stall my game even further trying to come up with yet another name. Last PT I just named Kara's bow and that's it.

I liked console finally getting tac cam, just a pity lack of tactics an actual difficult gameplay made it mute outside preference an some dlc encounters
The Taken Shape - what a great gear set, just a pity you only get to play with it for 5 minutes. More gear sets like this would be most welcome in the base game, definitely not rng based and used as a goal hopefully put behind specific boss drops

Wasn't a big fan of the look of The Taken Shape, but it's good enough that I put up with it anyway.

Wasn't a big fan of the look of The Taken Shpae, but it's good enough that I put up with it anyway. The Skin That Stalks armor design was ugly, but the collection had awesome combat utility. The armor of the Divine looked stunning, though. One out of two ain't bad.

Wasn't a big fan of the look of The Taken Shpae, but it's good enough that I put up with it anyway. Doesn't help that it really only looks good on tiny females. Putting it on anyone else is not a good idea. Hopefully the "armor comes with its own body shape" effect can be avoided in DA4.

More interaction with companions at campsites - not just with the scout, although Harding was always a treat to see/hear, something more of the DAO style camp with a vendor (for making space in your bags) and a chat with your companions.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but, as someone who obsessively collects everything, I love the way the search feature is implemented. I just wish they would color code the markers in some way, maybe according to the type of items.

Not quite sure what you mean about romances, but I'm not looking for LIs that appeal to me personally, but to my character. I'm always able to find someone my character would like, even if they don't agree about everything. The characters I play tend to share two traits: they're slow to judge and think things through, and they're misotheists (in worlds where we can assume that gods exist) or atheists (in other worlds) or both. The former, because I have no interest in playing characters who are impulsive and over-emotional in important matters - except as an experiment, but the motivation for such is rarely enough to carry me through a whole game. My Inquisitor did lose her composure in Trespasser, but I considered it a rare exception. The latter because the religious mindset (basically, the idea of worship) is alien to me and I simply can't play it. If I try, these characters usually end up abandoning their faith. This might seem strange, but it goes so far that my tabletop players sometimes ask about religion in any world I've newly-created for a campaign and it's only then that I realize I completely forgot about it.
This means that my characters also share certain preferences in LIs, and it just happens that those preferences do not appear to be fashionable. The range of people they accept as friends is usually quite wide - in any Bioware game, I'd usually not exclude more than one companion, if any, from my inner circle, and if people are different, that's fine - but I expect a little more compatibility from an LI-candidate. And in the end, romance isn't really important for me in a game, so if I don't find a suitable LI, which is most of the time, I'm fine with playing without one.
Oh, and BTW, Solas would be my favorite LI-candidate in DAI, and I played one game with him that way. His romance makes for a great story, but the only good ending I can imagine for that story is a bad one, and as it is, the ex-Inquisitor is too inferior to Solas and has no chance to catch up.

I recall agonizing about the name of my dog in DAO, until I finally succumbed and went with the default. It's fine to be able to name something, but for anyone or anything but your own character, it should be optional. Which it was for weapons in DAI, so....fine.

1. The voice acting in DAI was absolutely superb. Easily the best cast of the series (not to suggest the other titles are bad. DAI is just that good). I hope they invest the time and money to hire the type of talent DAI has. 2. Banter. Another big win for DAI is party banter. Hope it returns, but not at the DAI interval. Believe it was 15 minutes. Cut that in half and I’m good 3. DAIMP also has fantastic banter and humorous elements that add a lot of charm. That’s one of the reasons I played MP for as long as I did. Little lines like, “Must not have been a pride demon” and “This pleases me” are fantastic secondary (perhaps tertiary) aspects of the game that illicit an emotional response that I think is important in an RPG.

Companions getting new dialogue as you progress through the game Them having comments and opinions after you finish a main quest Overhearing NPCs talking to each other
And I think they should keep the banter timer. They just need to improve it by making it never ever reset and shortening it to 10 minutes at the most. But they should probably set the location comments to trigger at specific locations so your companions don't say they thought there would be more ships in the woods.

The handshake between the Inquisitor and Cullen after dealing with Corypheus. I like that. I like to see something like that for the next game.

The multiplayer. I found it to be really entertaining, it just needed abit of fine tuning and more variety.

The specialty class quests and companions' reactions to your chosen class. if they do then I want an expansion. Instead of a one and done collection I want more story focused quests or maybe a questline.

The pc drinking and playing cards or whatever in the local tavern with followers. I would also like to see something like what happened in DA2 where followers would be drinking or playing cards and hanging out with each other. Doesn't have to be just at a tavern either, it could be around a camp fire as well.

I liked the hidden approval system, where companions would gradually react to you differently depending on your choices and dialogue options.
Yes, it did say "character approval +10" or something on the side (was there an option to turn that off/) but at least there was no aproval meter anymore. That made it feel more natural.
More generally, I liked when complex combinations of choices lead to hard to predict but still somewhat logical consequences. Best example is probably who becomes the new Divine. These kinds of things, where you influence your surroundings but you can;t immediately point to one single action that caused it made me feel like my actions aren't just variable in a game but have some momentum to them and can kick of a whole series of events down the road that I might only have limited control over.
That was great, hope that'll come back.

When your companions were bantering, and you could chime in instead of just being an observer.
The issue was sometimes I couldn't hit the damn button right and missed chances to reply. But I really liked the option and would like more of it.
