One more thing to add to the list: The fug casual wardrobe options. Bioware, please get some fan feedback on the options before setting them in stone. Seriously, most of the non-combat / casual wear in DA2 and DAI were simply boring and embarrassing to boot: completely lacking in style and options especially for the more feminine female players. A thousand times this. 👆

What you didn't like the Inquisijammies? With the uncomfortable decorative metal studs - explains why the fem inq sat the way she did in judgement and walked with her legs so far apart to avoid chaffing...
Which brings to mind - would also be nice to be able to interact a little with our surrounds (i.e. the Inq's bedroom) would have been nice to sit on the sofa or lay on the bed in said jammies.

I was thinking about this and I realized that the NPCs are generally no better off then the PCs in Thedas. Wardrobe tends toward robes and pantaloons, neither of which I would like. If the jammies hadn't been form-fitting, monotone, and badly bedazzled, they would have been leggings and a tunic, which would have been fine. Well, if we could have dyed them our preference of colors.

Yes there is one thing: MALE ELF ARMS!! Fix the shits, or take the elf design back to Origins, or even the anime style of DA2. I have never been able to complete a playthrough with an elfquisitor in DAI largely due to their body type. I have a hard time taking my main character (a person that is supposed to alter the course of history in Southern Thedas) seriously when they look like a malnourished teenager. I never had trouble finishing up DAO with Elven Wardens because while smaller than humans they had a look I could still take seriously.

Their character creators were never in depth character creators. Inquisition was the first game they gave the player the tools to actually mold their character's face freely.

Depending on how many parts of the main character body that can be adjusted, this could cause issues with clipping. That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

True, I had minor issues with that in Skyrim and FO4 (mainly due to mods. The Cape mod for Skyrim has major issues with that).

Not to mention any cinematic scenes would have to account for different body types. I mean look at all the anger/frustration over how female characters walk and act like male ones in scenes. Now multiply that by several different body types all moving about pretty much the same.

No more tedious sidequests: Shards were the most notorious. I cannot really enjoy DAI without a trainer or mod that makes my guy fly via the jump button; or else I could not possibly collect all the shards. I have an obsessive need to finish things 100%, so this was just insane and preventing me from replaying DAI.

A lot of my issues with DAI have already been mentioned, but I'll add a few more:
1) The 8-ability limit/being unable to change abilities - Am I supposed to know what spells/abilities I'm going to need and what enemies/formations I'm going to face in advance? Because once combat starts I can't change my skillset until I've defeated everyone. I also disliked being unable to switch between melee and ranged as a rogue.
2) The enemy spawn/respawn rate - Enemies seemed to show up too often in certain maps. In some parts of the Hinterlands I could barely take a dozen steps without aggro'ing a bear. Human encounters were generally pretty good, but the local wildlife shouldn't be so aggressive.
3) Large/Uninteresting maps - It was fun to explore all the new locations on my first playthrough, but on subsequent playthroughs I found a lot of the maps such as the Hinterlands, Hissing Wastes and the Forbidden Oasis to be a slog. I personally preferred the more linear maps like the Fallow Mire and Emprise du Leon. (As a side note, having to 'uncover' the terrain on the map was surprisingly stressful. If I missed a spot, I'd feel compelled to go all the way back just to uncover it. I accept this is just me being weird, but it did bother me all the same.)
4) Small hubs - Val Royeaux looked good but it was tiny and was barely utilised at all as a location for the main/side quests. DAO did a much better job of portraying a sprawling city with Denerim, and important plot events took place there, giving it a purpose aside from being a glorified shopping centre.
5) Inability to change my character's appearance - DA2 and DAI's Black Emporium, along with MEA's surgery station were great, but they should have been in the game at launch. Having to choose between restarting the game over and over until I get the look the want or putting the game on hold for a few weeks until the DLC is released is frustrating.

I hope they ditch the semi-open world thing. It didn't add anything meaningful, just a bunch of fetch quests. DA is better than that. I think part of the problem is that they had too many zones. If they had combined or eliminated zones and restructured the questing system it would have made a big difference. Too many and/or too big. I liked the terrain variety and because we were all over Orlais and Ferelden the variety seemed appropriate to me. For story and role-playing purposes, I think having maps of various regions worked well. Going out to close rifts, establish an Inquisition presence, and create some semblance of stability in those areas were important duties for the Inquisition imho. That said, I think the maps could have been much smaller, not such a pain to navigate, and would happily forego most of the collections.

Companions being unaware of an incoming fireball only to be struck and then stand in the flames until they died. Oh, my goodness, yes. This was so irritating!
Also, everyone moves weird. Especially the way people moved around the war table - how _are_ they put together that everyone leads with their hips? It looks so awkward.

- No more dialogue without cutscenes, facial expressions and a camera that remains 10 meters away (at the very least, if cutscenes are too hard/nuch, do an over-the-shoulder perspective like ME:A). If having cutscenes is too difficult/expensive, just let me continue to move around once the dialogue is triggered. So I don't end up with some bloke talking me when in a weird position, like looking the other way or down a well, etc.

- Meaningless side quests - Vast open worlds that offer nothing - Wait time on the war table - NPC's that aren't worth remembering because where's the meat? - Boring and limited armor choices - Combining horn and hair options if the qunari return as a PC (I really wanted the maleficent horns with the mohawk, y'all know which ones - Unobtainable weapons and weapon models (Why did you tease us with Cassandra's Sword and Shield if we could never have them late game?) - Limited shit for Qunari (Did y'all hate the qunari or something when you made this game?) - Leliana (i'm so bored of her) - Cullen and Varric (i'm so bored of them) - Lack of consequence in choice (I would have loved to have threatened to reopen the veil if anyone called me "The Herald of Andraste" one more time) - Ugly hair lbr here - Orlesians (nuff said) - Mounts (they were pointless and our companions vanished, did not like) - Multiplayer (fuck you EA) - RNG schematics, fuck that shit. - Elf body, nuff said (their arms sank into their torso and this glitch was never fixed) also the men had bigger tits than the women - Eventless NPC Encounters (I am permanently sick of this pose) - Nothing to do (Fuck man, have fun with the world, it's not all murder and death out there)

- If they're going to introduce mounts, don't give them contrails, they're not aeroplanes or ships. Make them as manueverable as the ones in ACOD, with an option for speed limit in cities left to the player.
- Borrow some inspiration of game world population, animation and movement from Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed series.
- Don't overpopulate the wilds with monsters and bad guys. W3, for me, went overboard with them that I couldn't believe people want to live cheek by jaw or survive with monsters and outlaws just several metres away.
- Borrow some inspiration from W3 on how quests should be. Not everything is black and white.
- Keep to established lore and stop changing them for convenience.
- No loot animation.
