Oh for sure, I don't think my grandmother could exactly describe what was happening to her but she knew something was off and would always ask that question repeatedly "what's wrong with me" followed by crying, or her other line would be "my head feels funny. ". But even with her dementia, the one thing that always helped her was music. Just turn on one of her favorite songs and she'd smile and try to bob her head with the beat.  Eventually as the years went on, the most she would do was stare at the wall, if you were lucky she would give a nod when you'd try to talk to her.

Yeah, my memory continually gets worse and I'm just 30, but there's a lot of little things that I feel like I shouldn't forget. I'm hoping that it's just my family experiences that are making me overly paranoid. I've heard that learning new languages helps, something I'm trying to do.

I would rather ride a nuke as it drops down onto a horde of those annoying PC idiots. While wearing a cowboy outfit.

Thing is chances are very good that a battlefield death is like that. With todays weaponry you're likely you get ripped to shreds in an instant or get shot by a sniper.- 
If you really want to die instantly you need to become tank crew, IF something knocks a tank out the crew is gonna die too, if not for the ammunition inside the tank igniting.
