I'm not sure if this is the right place to post such a thread, so if it's in the wrong spot, I'm sorry. I started playing DA:I on PC about a month ago and was frustrated for the first couple weeks because there didn't seem to be any option to zoom in and out. The default view felt too close for me. I searched around the internet and found almost nothing helpful. Then I stumbled upon a solution accidentally, just by being clumsy.
I don't know if this will work on everyone's laptop. (I'm on a Lenovo Thinkpad.) But I found that if I place my index finger in the middle of the touchpad and my middle finger right above it, just slightly separated, and brush them upward to the top of the pad at the same time, the screen will zoom out. By placing my middle finger at the top of the touchpad and the index finger, again, slightly below it, and swiping back down, it will zoom back out. I tried to make a little diagram below to help people. And I'll include an example of in-game zooming so you can see what I mean.
Again, I'm not sure if this is just due to the particular settings of my Lenovo laptop, but I hope that maybe this is a general/generic touchpad setting that will help others enjoy their PC version of the game more.
I wish I had a mouse for my laptop. It would make my life a lot easier, lol.
ooooooh, i believe i can help with that! =D
phase 1: buy a computer mouse
phase 2: ?
phase 3: profit
Sound advice! The real problem is that I don't have a desk! I literally sit in bed with my laptop on my lap, which makes using a mouse awkward and gives me an arm cramp. I did try it for a bit with my World of Warcraft mouse... easier yeah, but also crampier...

C'est la vie for now, I guess!

You're funny! I'll get around to getting one someday. My kitty loves to cuddle with me while I sit on my bed and play DA, so I'd lose out on that if I went the normal person route and just bought a damn table.
Maybe I can find one with a cat cubby installed. I'll check Etsy...
