I was the biggest skeptic going in but I actually think Henry makes a good Gerald in those pics. I want it to be good, but I know every single writer on the show is a prog so that doesn't bode well.

While the new material looks infinitely better than the previous, I remain highly skeptical of the writing. Netflix is deep in the SJW shit. So I'm wary.

As far as TV adaptations go, I got burned badly with American Gods that I quit in disgust after 2 or 3 episodes. It was my favorite book in my early twenties. What an insult that adaptation was to the mood of the source material. I can't believe Gaiman signed off on this...
Then Good Omens came along recently and I liked it a lot, maybe because I have only vague memories of the book, haha. So, it's hit and miss for me.

Quality aside, I'm struggling with the disconnect between what the characters look/sound like in the game(s) and the actors of the show. That's general problem that I find more difficult to get past than some people.

Ciri looks way too old in the new picture for a 13 year old girl. She's 17 now, will probably be 18 when they finish. That's a massive jump in physical development. I know kid actors are always tricky but still.

I love the Witcher books and I'm definitely looking forward to the show. My main issue so far is that Ciri looks way too old, but I'll wait and see how they work that into the story. I'm also curious how they're going to introduce a lot of these characters who aren't supposed to show up until later (e.g. Vilgefortz, Fringilla, Triss).

Agree with others on Ciri....she looks too old and the hair color in the pic I saw looked blonde, not ash/white. Yenn also doesn't look like a magically beautiful sorceress but rather plain other than the violet eyes.

Still waiting for them to release an update on their Nilfgaardian armor.

It looks quite average, which is what I expected of Netflix. Geralt and Ciri are the most convincing to me. The rest is generic Hollywood rubbish. Hilariously, the Nilfgardian ballsack armor is indeed a thing. Well done Netflix.

How an 18 year old television show that was funded on 3,000 usd, and a dozen crates of vodka looks superior to one that was produced by a multi billion dollar company is beyond me. The casting is terrible to the point where a porn parody that was inspired by the videogame version ended up being more faithful to novels than the show that's supposed to be based on them. Henry looks like Fabio wearing a white wig, Freya Allan as Ciri looks like Massie Williams who's trying out her best ayylmao impersonation, Anya as Yennefer looks too immature, while they didn't even try with Anna as Triss. She looks like a 50 year old chain smoking wino who started her vices at the age of 10. Yennefer was supposed to look more mature than Triss who's supposed to be one the Lodge's younger members alongside Fringilla.




Then there's the Nilfgaardian penis head helmet, and scrotum armor.
