The Nomad had some pretty good handling and the traversal with that was pretty fun. I can't see that happening with the horse, though.

I want to land my Griffon on the tip of Redcliffe Castle.

I definitely want to see griffons, it's bullshit that their revival was relgated to a freaking side novel.
But I don't need a griffon mount, or really any mount, unless they structure the game world dramatically differently from the previous games. Mounts in Inquisition were useless as it is.

The Nomad had some pretty good handling and the traversal with that was pretty fun. I can't see that happening with the horse, though. Though if we get one of these in DA4, no one's gonna care how good the Nomad handled... Optimistically thinking, a griffon mount could combine the pros of a jetpack and Mako: trotting, cantering, and galloping (maybe even gliding?) on even ground and jumping on uneven ground. With griffons' flight ability, we could have battles in places that were previously difficult to reach: forget dragons, let's fight a Cetus, a sea-dragon native to the seas north of Tevinter! Unfortunately I think the picture above gives a bit of a false impression about their size (or alternatively, Isseya is absolutely tiny). An average griffon weighs around 1 000 pounds (about 450kg), whereas an average horse weighs 900 - 1 100 pounds, and while the largest breeds, like Clydesdale, can weigh around 2 000 pounds, the world's tallest horse stopped at the height of 7'2" (2,18m). I guess one could argue griffons having hollow bones like birds and their puffy feathers giving them much more robust appearance. Though unless the eggs found in 9:42 were of a breed larger than the one used by the wardens, we won't be able to fit a whole party on a single griffon's back. The alternate solution would, ofc, be to give us two four griffons. On the other hand, the rest what I'm reading from the DA wiki sounds rather cute: Griffons have golden eyes which they close halfway when they are pleased, and they purr when content. Interestingly they are mainly grey in colour (thus inspiring the name "Grey Wardens") which could potentially lead to some unhappiness if players wanted to change a griffon's colour like they could with Mako. EDIT: It seems I've been a bit too optimistic about how much weight it is possible for one animal to carry. I just saw a news article about the back and health problems too heavy riders can cause to horses on my local newspaper. With horses that weigh 350-450 kg (770-990 pounds), the weight limit seems to be around 80 kg (177 pounds). If the same applies to griffons, you'd need every party member to have their own mount.

The special effects the combos had were so colorful and exciting. Being able to change your class was very convenient as well.

How about obscure gameplay
Dai climbing stairs in the towers around exalted plains etc-was that improved in andromeda
Control over party members- there’s a puzzle in dai where you have to place your party members and get them to stand still-any situations like this in andromeda?

Well, in Andromeda you have jump jets, so vertical movement is a bit easier. (I so completely gave up on vaulting that I forgot the key combo.)
In general, I don't think there were any movement issues in ME:A which were hard by accident, unlike DAI.

well that's the first time I have heard that particular argument in this round of games... then again I don't exactly hang out in the Anthem thread.

well that's the first time I have heard that particular argument in this round of games... then again I don't exactly hang out in the Anthem thread. Well, all game issues aside, MEA is still RPG while Anthem is a looter shooter. On that alone you can expect a Bioware fan (of old) to give higher marks to MEA. But even dropping the genre difference aside, MEA launched way more complete and with less issues than Anthem. Not sure if it's a "masterpiece" in comparison, but it can be close And Anthem feels like it's a MEA clone in regards to combat and enemies. If Bioware just scrapped their "be Bungie" dream and created just one game, instead of those two, with the RPG of MEA in the world of Anthem, we could have looked at another great RPG franchise.
