So, what, "Maul" is your weapon of choice? You even had a solo PT as 2h Maul warrior. I don't remember any mauls looking too funny off hand, maybe not remembering. They are just big hammers to an extent. None of this bothers me enough not to use them, I just thought some look a bit more like cartoon weapons than practical ones.

I don't remember any mauls looking too funny Me neither. Hope the previous post did not look like a joke or something coming from me. I'm not total native-English speaker after all. It was a serious question and a serious post. Anyway ****** Continuation of DW Warrior no-pot-solo-PTA note: each time I go somewhere I have an encounter (there were 1-2 time w/o it), so early in the game I had e.g. encounters with thugs/shades/spiders etc. only my level was low - had to reload several times usually to avoid it. Now level/armor/weapon are rather good so encounters are actually could be won. Decided to do the Dalish. Encounter "Dark Forest" (with spiders/webs/OVs): one attempt, no resists, just momentum + hits + talents. Armor rating saved - got hits under web, only the damage was low. The DalishSaved the Halla (Alistair helped). Got lvl 14Champion Spec War Cry - chose it as want "knockdown WC" ASAP (really helpful), though not enough points for everything + no gold to buy books. + 3 strg Did in the forest some simple quests - nothing interesting. Some trouble notes:1) Two Ogres: the only difficulty was "ram" spam. But managed to kill them both w/o deaths even (thank you, Reposte). 2) Hermit: 10 attempts because of simple cheats - got hell of hex spells without even casting animation/did not even pay attention when I used some abilities on him/poor spell resist for some reason/rage demons gave no problemes. To kill them all had to run in circles; did not use any resists/poisons (with higher lvl it would have been easier). 3) Tried "Mage's Treasure": actually with more attempts it could have been finished, as it indeed was" almost"; but decided to get there later not to waste time. 4) Spiders: armor rating saved so their OV was nothing. Fast. No resists used. 5) Dragon: used that tree, died three times as caught "OV", but in general was fast enough (not surprising with those talents: reach and flexibility). Have to ask: Did anybody even kill that small dragon with direct approach as SOLO?! I mean w/o any trick/cancels - just simple fair battle. Curious. 6) Annoying part: bag was almost full, so instead of going further, went back to the Dalish Camp to sell that junk. And no "fast travel" for now. So just a hint: going to such places requires "legendary pockets". 7) Will mention it as it was the very first time I saw it: that Witch near "Mage's Treasure" + two Greater Shades - 5 attempt as she managed to just ignore my attacks but used all the time "Crushing Prison" + electro spells. Did not even know she could use that spell as my lvl was the same as always, as usual I rushed to her first and always killed her w/o any problemes. This time - unlucky. 8) Black Vial Revenant (the first one): first even thought to leave him for now as my GW missed SOOO many times. Died X times. Used only Momentum + running tactics that usually worked, but not this time. Before going to the lair itself decided to try again: used swift salve + weapon with AP (tried it earlier actually and it was much better). So with such combination (and this time w/o so many "misses") killed the Revenant very-very fast. Damn. 9) The Lair Vial Revenant: the same thing, though it seemed to me that his armor rating was higher. Anyway: AP weapon + swift salve + spirit resist this time + several attempts as sometimes my GW missed all the time. 10) And again: the bag is full but there is still things to get. Again going back and forth - would not bother even writing about it, but I really need gold to buy armor/give gold for "better" armor/to buy some trinkets. ZathrianGot what he deserved. And rather fast. Encounter "River Crossing": 2 attempts. Had to use 2 bombs for melees, after that ran up behind those trees and then easy. Lvl 15Skill Coercion 3 Talent Rally + 3 Strg Returned to get the rest junk. Encounter with angry dalish wife: could have told her she was a moron and get a ring for that, though was already tired of some dalish idiots like her, Zathrian, Lanaya, storyteller and just killed her. Bandits where the Hermit was: very easy. Tried the rest Mage's Treasure: it was not so horrible, though some clever tactics should have been used (tired for now). Encounter "Twisted Path" (you can just avoid): easy (now already). DenerimFinished Leliana Quest: rather easy should say. Finished "Crime Wave" tasks that could be done now. Finished Crow task 100 %. Denerin Revenant: AP weapon + swift salve + spirit resist + X attempts/ added DSM - helped. My GW is really drunk it seems. You can't miss almost all the time. What the hell? Encounter "The Dalish Great Archers vs the enemy": three attempts to save at least someone. Once only "almost". Killed three witnesses for Interested Parties. Conclusions:- was killed several times by horde of bandits (different ambushes) while my GW decided to show off with some long fatality; - noticed PR rather often; - Reposte worked as well; - AP is still ftw (I miss the Maul). Think next will try either "Jarvia" or just go to Haven. That is all.

Some trouble notes:1) Two Ogres: the only difficulty was "ram" spam. But managed to kill them both w/o deaths even (thank you, Reposte). Yeah, rogue would also have Dirty Fighting to stun. The only other talent option for DW Warrior would be Frightening Appearance (Reaver). I try to keep some stun poison around too. Don't think I have done it with no health and no "clever" tactics at the same time. Also wrt the next point, I often turn around after looting the treasure pile with the dragon as well. I think I might have seen this once or twice. Usually she seems to try some spell with long summon time giving me enough time to CC and kill her. .. What is the normal and AP weapon set you are using here? Were you still using the two fullsize, or back to a dagger? Not even sure what best mid game dagger available is. Many "good" daggers have + critical / backstab damage, but warrior doesn't backstab, and if running dual-striking won't get crits. Olaf's has the +1AP. Edge is really the best (before Rose's), but Promo DLC. Oddly I think Thorn of the Dead Gods (T2) would have still been pretty good at this stage, with the flat +2 damage, and +2 AP. Even if the base damage is a little low, it would buff Starfang or whatever. Duncan's does have +4 dex, which is a couple attack. Bonus attack would have probably been helpful on Revenants with Aura of Weakness. Alternatively, whatever dagger with the most run slots loaded with + damage runes, and fullsize in offhand with damage runes exploiting dual striking attack speed may be the way to go against the Revanants if hit rate is ok. Of course, Mage's Treasure ones are a little weird since they are "demon" instead of "undead," so they should have 50% fire resistance and 5% spirit resistance, and the Revenant cold immunity. So ideally shock runes. Don't think Cold Iron works at all on them.

The only other talent option for DW Warrior would be Frightening Appearance (Reaver). Yeah, though would like to add one thing about it: think "Fear" is one of the best and useful talents, only what usually causes problemes in case of "2 enemies" (like here) - time animation. Even if it takes seconds, it can cost you - death. Stumbled upon such cases not once. So, if lucky - everything will be fine, but not always. I try to keep some stun poison around too. As well always have it, though again "a probleme". Have Dain's Mod, though it does not mean Poison Stun should work all the time. In this 2 Ogres encounter Poison could work or not (it is not 100 % stun anyway) and I try to save those things for "better times" (resists/posisns/ salves). That is why decided to rely only upon Reposte - it is fast, if worked I have time for other thing. This talent is really great. Don't think I have done it with no health and no "clever" tactics at the same time. So, the "tree tactics" is still a good one. What? I think I might have seen this once or twice. Usually she seems to try some spell with long summon time giving me enough time to CC and kill her. Yep, in my case that was some bug as I was hitting the air. Though the bad thing led to the good one - now I know she can use Crushing Prison even before I get to her. Useful thing to know. Crushing Prison + electro spell after - her tactics, my death. What is the normal and AP weapon set you are using here? Were you still using the two fullsize, or back to a dagger? Now only full-sized weapons. And no daggers at all. Only swords or axes. Can't tell the names atm (will look up later, was really tired to the point can't remember now the names w/o launching the game - can happen). Always make notes during PT if it is importanat, but can say for sure: AP was higher (axes I think, but not the best one from the camp). Of course AP is not huge, there are formulae and such things, though can say 100 % - the damage was indeed higher with higher AP weapons. First used swords, compared with AP weapons, again swords - actually many reloads, the outcome was the same: even if GW died, the damage was higher. Will write the names later. Useful information for a rogue no-pot-PT (at least want to do it after DW Warrior). Duncan's does have +4 dex, which is a couple attack. Bonus attack would have probably been helpful on Revenants with Aura of Weakness. Did not notice at all. Or just was unlucky. exploiting dual striking attack speed may be the way to go against the Revanants if hit rate is ok Yes, that's what I did with the second Revenant. And that's why I do not use DSM (as have mentioned before - only in difficult cases). Though "Momentum" now is always ON. About runes: AFAIR had PR/SP runes. Had cold/fire/shock/undead on different weapons only again atm can't say where and what. Will write later. BTW You asked this What is the normal and AP weapon set you are using here? Were you still using the two fullsize, or back to a dagger? only because explanation about daggers OR there is something else useful to know about full-sized weapons? Thanks.
ADDED: Duncan's does have +4 dex, which is a couple attack.
Wait, what do you mean by "dex couple attack" for a warrior. Sorry, can't catch now.

That is why decided to rely only upon Reposte - it is fast, if worked I have time for other thing. This talent is really great. Yeah it should be fairly consistent against regular ogres through the game. It is cunning check, basically. wrt = with regard to, sorry for abbreviation. It is the way the animation speed is determined for dual-striking. When using dual weapons usually, the overall attack speed is the average of the two speeds. So two fullsize is slowest, fullsize + dagger is in the middle, and dagger + dagger is the fastest rate. Dual striking only uses the speed of the mainhand weapon. That means if you have Dual Weapon Mastery, you can put a dagger in the "mainhand" and a fullsize in the "offhand" and the speed is as fast as if you had two daggers. This is part of how dual-striking warrior can out-dps rogues at higher levels. So it would be Rose's Thorn in mainhand + Starfang or Veshialle offhand (the one that is better depends slightly on enemy, but are close enough it doesn't matter a lot).
Each point of dex is 0.5 points of attack, so that makes 2 attack. Really might not be noticeable without counting a lot of swings. But it is still better than +crit damage if dual-striking (since you can't crit when it is on). The "+2 damage" or "+5 damage" type enchantments would be best.

So it would be Rose's Thorn in mainhand + Starfang or Veshialle offhand (the one that is better depends slightly on enemy, but are close enough it doesn't matter a lot). So, DW Warrior is indeed great, almost chaeter: DWM + DSM + dagger in mainhand + weapon in offhand and nothing can stop him/her (+ Dain's Mod to fix bugs). Each point of dex is 0.5 points of attack, so that makes 2 attack. Really might not be noticeable without counting a lot of swings. But it is still better than +crit damage if dual-striking (since you can't crit when it is on). If dex still gives you attack even with fullsized weapon, does not it make sense get more dex? Know talents depedn upon strength for a warrior, though according to this info - why not? Put poins into dex (like your SnS-dex warrior plus get more dodges) and still the damage will be normal? Or I misunderstood something? DW Warrior is a bit complicated tbh. Just another test -build as DW-dex warrior. **** About AP weapons with the Revenant. Will try to remember but think everything is fine with my memory. Had runes just "because", so some of them were just useless, but had no choice. Alright AFAIR First used two swords: Duncan's AP 3.20 +10 RP/+3 cold dmg Maric's Blade AP 3.20 +8 SP/+ 5 PR Then changed weapons just looking for higher AP - that was the the point (did not look what kind of weapon it was): Axameter AP 3.50 +6 dmg to undead/+ 4 dmg to darkspawn Starfang AP 4.20 + 3 cold/+ 5 PR/+ 6 SP The battle showed that the second weapon set did higher damage. WIKI says different info about AP, so do not knoow here what is true. Runes: as mentioned - some just useless and put them to empty the bag. Any thoughts? As for me with reloads and tests - AP did matter. The main is - tests and what I see. Would appreciate if you share your thought about tha Revenant fight and weapon sets. Thank you.

I was just talking about enchantments on the weapons.
Highest dps DW Warrior will be 36 dex (after Fade bonus), the rest into strength. The reason being that strength increases attack, and increases damage for fullsize and daggers. Dex increases attack the same amount, but only improves attribute damage for daggers.
If you don't want to exploit dual striking, then the best mix is just 24 dex, rest into strength. Using Rose's offhand and Starfang or Veshialle mainhand.
You can get more talent damage with Mastery using Starfang + Veshialle (which is better than two Veshialles), but Rose's + either is only slightly behind in talent damage, but a bit better at auto-attack due to Rose's Thorn having great enchantments.
You can do high dex warrior though, which starts to favor two daggers for auto-attack at some point. It will have weaker talent damage, but it does have high defense.
AP does matter, especially on high armor enemies. Revenants may have ~30 armor I think. But they also have ~100 effective defense.
For min-maxed melee not counting cunning rogue, you will probably have pretty good attack rating dumping all points in str or dex. But DW warrior isn't going to have a whole lot of AP. AP rating is probably like a pure damage per hit buff here, and I am not all that surprised.
What did somewhat surprise me at the time was the results you had with the 2H warrior early in Korcari. But when thinking about that more, and the likely stats of the enemies there, it did start to make sense.
What was it the wiki said?

What was it the wiki said? With some weapons think understand differences (DLC improvement thing) and they are given, though with some other weapons - do not know. Duncan's AP 3.20 (wiki 4) Maric's Blade AP 3.20 (wiki 3.20 -4) - here DLC at work Axameter AP 3.50 (wiki 5.25) Starfang AP 4.20 (wiki 4.20) Maybe some numbers are already given as"improved", only I do not use that DLC for improvement, but know not all weapons could be improved. So, Duncun's/Axameter -? Already improved? But at thr same time with Maric's it is shown numbers could be different (suspect because of DLC). Did not check what weapons could be used in that DLC. You can do high dex warrior though, which starts to favor two daggers for auto-attack at some point. It will have weaker talent damage, but it does have high defense. Then misunderstood you, if that whole part was dedicated to enchantments. With dex using only daggers' benefits suspect at least will be just boring to the death to play. But an option as well. So, strength. Pure damage buff? With 2h as well as I understand? with SnS as well? Maybe it is just the way of using words: with one weapon AP is lower, so that AP "talent" is lower. Got weapon with higher AP, that "AP talent" became better? What's the difference I mean. Pure damage as buff is the same as just using another weapon with another AP. For a warrior it is obvious as he has other attributes. What did you mean by that?

Continuation of DW Warrior no-pot-solo-PT
The Carta
Used the same armor + duncan's + maric's swords + 30 (20 + 10) PR + 3 fire/electro damage. Momentum was always ON. Plus had to use Poison from time to time: wanted to save it as always, but with Carta had no choice because of the following.
The Carta are rogues mostly. That means my Warrior with Momentum looked like slow-mo - at least I had that feeling in comparison with other enemies.
Died many times because of one spam from 2hs: Crit Strike (they just love using it). But tbh thought would have died because of OV of rogues/rogue special talents - nope, some close calls, but 2h talent was responsible (assholes).
Visited each corner to annoy myself to play as a slow-mo PC with each encounter (just check if my feeling was right - it was).
Jarvia
X attempt as usual approach.
Then was tied of her crap and used DSM + Momentum + Poison+ at some point swift salve. Though had to yell "Shut up and die!" several times as Jarvia always started to resist everything when was close to her death.
She likes to use "Punisher", which my GW resisted anyway. Punisher animation time came in handy for me.
Cheat or no, but as have mentioned myself "DSM only in difficult situations". Fucking amount of attempts as "usual fight" for me is "difficult", considering it is not my first PT and know what to do.
Actually I was not prepared too well, but "almost prepared" to use "usual approach". Did not know where to go and what to do so decided to go to the Carta expecting something like this.
Whatever. W/o Dain's Mod using DSM is still good. If have it, why not use it from time to time.
Lvl 16 Motivate (need ungraded War Cry) + 3 str
Got "Precious Metals" so the next stop will be "The Circle" - blackmailing.
After that think will go to finish Haven as usual. But tempted to do some part of the Deep Roads. That's it.

I would probably use talent in this context as something in the build, like "Two Handed Strength." I said it was like a damage buff because anytime you add AP when attacking an enemy with more armor rating than your AP, it is basically adding that number in damage dealt.

I said it was like a damage buff because anytime you add AP when attacking an enemy with more armor rating than your AP, it is basically adding that number in damage dealt. Maybe I should not have put question marks. I understand "pure damage debuff", thank you. Just did not understand why you had mentioned this point at all, I mean your additional words. Now, with your understanding it for you as more like a "talent" (similar to 2h warrior passive), I do. Just, to be honest, have never thought about weapon AP transforming into "talent". --- Thinking about AP here as a talent (like 2h passive), other weapon characteristics are also "talents" for you? Crits/crit chance/zero never-used backstab talent though it is present and others. The wiki might be just wrong on Axameter, silvertite waraxe is what you see (3.5). Duncan's and Marics I think scale with level. Did not write the material of my weapons. I would probably use talent in this context as something in the build, like "Two Handed Strength." In what context would not?

Continuation of DW Warrior no-pot-solo-PT
Guess I am a lazy GW now. Decided to continue to play a little as an errand girl for Bhelen and go to the Deep Roads. Not every part, just some.
Before that got Ageless: fought that dragon almost face-to-face. Just some running. OV - had good armor rating. But nothing to be pround of here: just my level was rather high.
Encounter with fanatics again: PS - the first thing that could happen. But nothing diffiult.
Before going to the DRs (some part I mean) went to the camp.
Camp
Sold everything I could and bought the Amulet Spellward (now no gold at all).
Left the runes as they were. Plus bought Gorim's Sword "+ 2 damage to darkspawn" + 2 rune slots to check it (+8% SR/+4 dmg to DS).
Gave Leliana her nug.
Uninstalled Oghren mod (had one glitch with Morrigan task last time but do not know what mod influenced it). To finish the task had to install another mod, but tiresome to do that.
Went to the Deep Roads.
The same armor/bijouterie (only Warden's Oath changed to Spellward)
Weapons: Did not change anything Used Maric's + Duncan Swords with the same runes. also tried Gorim's Sword.
Caridin's Cross
Almost died in that ambush with only three idiots - a good start.
Old Friend Black Vial Revenant
TESTS! Momentum is ON + swift salve + lesser spirit resist (strange that during the first attempt it did not help and speed was lower, during the second - speed was as always) 1: weapons I had - usual hits about 10-20, max hit 23; max crit about 40 2: Axameter + Starfang (with the same cold runes) - usual hits 20-32, max hit 35, max crit - ab 65.
He died during the second attempt. Revenant missed a lot, but started to be more careful in the end so I almost died as well.
Ogre hiding in the corner: died three times. A question: avoiding his ram spam is possible at all? As because of that I died. Last time had to run around and just used DWS.
Nothing more here BUT One Note.
Flurry.
According to descriptions in the game/wiki - normal damage. WIKI: attacker executes an offhand-mainhand-offhand attack combo with much faster than normal speed.
Though there is a Note lower in WIKI: the first hit actually deals damage with each weapon. Thus, there are 4 hits total, two from each weapon. These hits can be critical.
Would not write about it but just got with off-hand sword number 70 (got crits with Reposte, though they were 60 +).
Before that saw flashed numbers though thought misunderstood something.
So, turns out "Flurry" is bugged as well. And really bugged as I saw those crits very often and after number 70 checked on purpose - still crits (only with warrior they were not big until number 70).
In Dain's Mod did not see anything about it.
If not for that number 70, continued thinking that my eyes saw something wrong.
All for now.

Just, to be honest, have never thought about weapon AP transforming into "talent". I don't think that way either. Several posts ago when I was talking about attributes and fullsize + fullsize vs dagger + fullsize, when I said "talent damage," I was talking about the damage from things like Dual Weapon Sweep, Cripple, Punisher, Whirlwind, etc. The activated talents. I talked about AP just because of your observation that your weapon set with higher AP did better against the Revenant. No for me they are just characteristics. I try to only use talent for warrior or rogue abilities and passives, that's what the game calls them in the english version anyway. Above with the stuff like dual weapon sweep, I suppose those are most precisely "activated talents," as opposed to the passive and sustained.

With the above part of this comment evetything is clear anyway. Just one question: did you know about flurry?
Added: forgot to mention another thing - Reposte does not work so often as it used to.
Enemies were usual, so do not think they just like that - passed PR check. Maybe I was simply "unlucky", and further it will work fine, but considering simple enemies it was strange to see "not working often as usual".

Just one question: did you know about flurry? Yeah that one will work the same more or less. If I remember correctly, with two daggers and momentum, Flurry is a loss of DPS. Really Dual Weapon Sweep is the only good talent if you have two daggers (except Riposte for stun). The physical resistance check for the stun off Riposte is based on your cunning. So since warrior doesn't invest much in cunning, this will have less and less chance to work as the game goes on, except against some targets that don't have much physical resistance (like enemy mages). The other dual weapon talents that do physical resistance checks use strength.

Really Dual Weapon Sweep is the only good talent if you have two daggers (except Riposte for stun) Not a very good description in terms of "how interesting to play". Many talents and DWS (+ Reposte somethimes) - the only one useful. Those daggers... The physical resistance check for the stun off Riposte is based on your cunning. So since warrior doesn't invest much in cunning, this will have less and less chance to work as the game goes on, except against some targets that don't have much physical resistance (like enemy mages). Know about cunning (which, tell the truth, again makes me think back to the old thought of 60/40, not too late for now for this), that is why mentioned "simple" enemies in that post. Or it works even with some enemies for which you get some 10 exp (you know yourself easey enemies are met eveywhere - some 10 exp? dead from one hit? - no matter the quest/progress of the game). Does it indeed matter? Because that is what I have met. Even if use "strength-build" what is left to use for a warrior? Only DWS + sustained Momentum? With your DW Warrior what did you use if remember?

If I remember correctly, with two daggers and momentum, Flurry is a loss of DPS Wiki says nothing about it. Checked it yourself?
From some calculations, other people had done them back in the day too. It is basically because Flurry is a series of normal hits, but they hit slower than the daggers would under Momentum. With dagger+fullsize, Flurry is a small bit better than auto-attack DPS. With two fullsize, it is further ahead of auto-attack. The other talents all have relatively long animations, so they are usually a bit less than auto-attack as well, but they have other properties. Sweep is good because of the relatively quick animation, and because it can hit more than one enemy at a time. Whirlwind can too, so if that is the case, they are better than auto-attack. Riposte is close to auto-attack dps with dagger-fullsize, and ahead for two fullsize. But a lot behind for two daggers. Yeah, the lower level or lower tier enemies have lower physical resistance scores, so with your cunning at presumably something ~16 + whatever bonus from gear, you have enough chance for it to be reliable. Or even on some mid range mages, since mages have lower physical resistance generally as well. But higher tier enemies, or melee generally can have higher physical resistance, so it becomes unreliable unless you somehow have a high cunning score. Really the only character that should have that much cunning is a rogue. Warrior would get weaker with more cunning investment since you don't have anything besides Riposte that really scales with cunning. Just a small bonus to AP. With strength and dagger-fullsize, I often used Cripple and Punisher. Whirlwind can be situational. Dual weapon sweep is good. Or if it is two fullsize weapons

But higher tier enemies, or melee generally can have higher physical resistance, so it becomes unreliable unless you somehow have a high cunning score. The bottom line: Reposte becomes useless. Simple enemies could be killed with something else. Why waste STA for Reposte in that case? Really the only character that should have that much cunning is a rogue. Warrior would get weaker with more cunning investment since you don't have anything besides Riposte that really scales with cunning. Just a small bonus to AP. Warrior - yes. But a "cunning" rogue not? Since CUN gives you AP, a rogue is the same as DW warrior - even worse. Warrior at least has more survivability, benifit of CUN rogue in that case? He will just die. Thus a question Really the only character that should have that much cunning is a rogue. Why? The benifit to use only Reposte that affects only one enemy? Is there anything else? With strength and dagger-fullsize, I often used Cripple and Punisher. Whirlwind can be situational. Dual weapon sweep is good. Or if it is two fullsize weapons Thank you. Guess DWS is the only talent to use to be sure it will work.

He will just die. For cunning rogue, you can get bonus damage, bonus critical chance, and bonus attack with cunning. That assumes you get Lethality, and are a Bard for Song of Courage. Exploit Weakness in the Assassin tree also gives bonus backstab damage based on cunning. But I suppose for solo, cunning rogue makes less sense than doing dex or strength rogue.

Time to make notes. Where is my notebook? But I suppose for solo, cunning rogue makes less sense than doing dex or strength rogue. Yeah, did not mention, though meant solo-PT. That is why did not see the benefits.

Continuation of DW Warrior no-pot solo-PT
In the end will write about the build with calculations.
Went further.
Ortan Thaig
In the beginning died three times - Golem Slam. Had to run in circles.
Spiders did not give troubels in that area - resisted their web always (remember 2-3 times when not), armor rating is still good (Sonya's Armor) if they used OV, but it was as well 2-3 times.
Actually was eager to see Spider Queen encounter - Dain's Mod with original devs intention is installed.
Asunder
Well, first of course several attempt as usual. Spell resist was (will write about it in the build section).
Annoyed by his cheats and spam, did the following: - managed to kill him dancing around him: actually for me it is sort of achievement, kiting all the time, dex helped a lot; - switched to templar armor (rating is lower, though had + 20 % SR); - switched to Starfang + Axameter (the same runes); - used momentum + DSM + swift salve + fire/cold proof.
Three attempts with this.
What want to mention about it: - fire/cold balm: was no point to use, just waste of them; - armor the same, as with Sophia's armor "almost win" was as well, so was no poit to use it; - what helped - weapons (AP). Period. + dancing around him; - if he cheated or used "spam' - nothing to talk about at all.
Will mention it as it was the very first time in all my PTs
Died about 20 times before could get to unlimitied mushrooms. Do not know what was going on but spiders used OV all the time, did not matter health or other things. At first armor rating helped, after the 5th attempt I got damage as if was naked.
Whatever. Still eager to see tweaked Spider Queen mentioned as "too poweful" by devs.
With Golems used weapons with higher AP - the damage increased and it was noticeable (Starfang + Axameter).
Spider Queen
As it is Mod will write what was going on in my game.
Used the same everything + momentum + lesser nature resist. Died about 20 times.
Dain's Mod describes it
Spider Queen Poison Spit: Increases the damage of the Corrupted Spider Queen's Poison Spit talent by 50%. A 2x multiplier was originally implemented in game code but is commented out with the note "removed, too powerful". The DOT stacking fix applies a severe nerf to this ability however, so this tweak is to restore the vanilla difficulty of the fight.
Her spit indeed did greater damage. It is noticeable.
Though think it should be there anyway. I died 20 times not because of her spit, but because of usual attack/OV/webs/poor tactics on my behalf plus some poison damage (the least of all those problemes).
Used lesser nature resist (did not have anything else anyway).
So in general at least in my game can say - it was fine. Thought will die in two-three sec after getting spit. Do not know why it was removed. Damage is higher, but not "too powerful", even with her lackeys attacking you all the thime.
Maybe others have other results.
------ Build + stats + resists.
For now with the armor/weapon/trinkets I have mentioned
Mental Resist 29 Physical Resist 90
Str 54 Dex 40
Decided afterall to do what I wanted originally - try 60/40 (str/dex) build.
Now it is fine - 60/40 Some calculations 54 - 57,44 % 40 - 42,55%
So now, as with my SnS-dex warrior, need to be careful where to put points so that abilities actually worked (depending on str) and at the same time - dodges.
About spell resist.
If take armor etc SP is very low - 34 % (or could be 64% but I do not need that gear). Though SR was fine, caught spells here-there, but it is a usual thing. ------ Anyaway, all for now.

Damage is higher, but not "too powerful", even with her lackeys attacking you all the thime. It is because of the DOT bug in the base game, with bugged DOT calculation, her poison spit damage was already too high. At least if you get hit more than once in a short amount of time (which is likely).

It is because of the DOT bug in the base game, with bugged DOT calculation, her poison spit damage was already too high. At least if you get hit more than once in a short amount of time (which is likely). Dain's mod covered that bug too AFAIR (can't look up now that infromation)? So, I needed to remove that bug fix before the Queen. Though already have no saves nearby to check. In that case I would not be writing so happy posts "why removed? - a nice spit" I guess. -- Actually, now, when I think of all encounters with her each time, she has never used spit the second time, only attacked in different ways. With tweak the damage was different (did not right everything about that encounter but interesting things took place), w/o bug fix DOT had to try. --- May I ask: still not going to return to DA/ME games?

Right, dainbramage's fix pack has an engine fix for the DOT calculation, and that makes the spider queen a bit weaker in theory. That is why he has the tweak to buff the damage to 2x, to attempt to make her more dangerous again. She shouldn't use spit if you are in melee range, or if there is no line of sight. I was thinking of starting an ME trilogy run. I don't know that I would record it. My upload speed is so terrible currently that it would take ages to upload anything.

She shouldn't use spit if you are in melee range, or if there is no line of sight. Does not matter where I was, she never uses Spit twice: melee/no sight. I am standing in the open ready for her, but no second spit. Never. Maybe it is only in my game. I was thinking of starting an ME trilogy run. I don't know that I would record it. My upload speed is so terrible currently that it would take ages to upload anything. So, you do want to make ME run (just hear it not the first time), only ageless upload speed stops you? Stops to the point that you want and still think about it (yes, you told about is long ago). Problem that has no solution at all? I still watch your PTs. Often
