How did you recruit Leliana? The normal way. Went into the tavern and used an Arrow of Slaying on the leader. I think it took a couple more shots to get the fight to end, can't remember exactly. The "quest" where you talk to Sandal and Bodahn in camp and put a rune in something. Put it in Edge. Yes, the only items I am using since I could equip it are that bow and the tier 1 dalish armor set I started with. Before that, I used whatever bow I could use in the origin, then put on Bregan's briefly. *** The Carta and some of the Deep Roads have been "a beating." Still possible to get hit by some attacks with 150 defense. Usually it is from an elite or someone using a talent that does an attack roll with a bonus. CampTalked to Alistair and Leliana. Carta QuestLevel 16 when I opened the hideout, maybe I should have opened it earlier and came back. There was a lot of kiting in the base. Wiki has stats for a level 15 Jarvia, she should have been 17 when I fought her due to bonus for boss. She has 95 attack when dual wielding at 15, I would assume it is just slightly more than that at 17. That works out to somewhere near 0% hit rate on me with a normal attack from the front (no flanking bonus). It only took a few actual hits to kill the character, which could occur from Dirty Fighting off a mook, or from flanking. After kiting her around the pillars for a while to get spider back, I went into a nook where I couldn't be hit by melee. I might have forgotten about this from previous games. Spider could then get aggro and kite around while Cadi could fire arrows in a narrow arc. Oddly after stealthing near the end of the fight, she just stood in one place for a while. So I went ahead and just used poison spit until she started chasing the spider again. Spider just looped around the pillar. Caradin's CrossI decided I was going to try to get through the Deep Roads skipping non-mandatory things if I could. Here I went through the passage with a lot of deep stalkers, which ends up near the bronto and enemies where a few ballistas from the middle are pointed. Cleared them out and headed to the exit. Ortan ThaigHit Level 17 near the spirits and golem (before Ruck). Took Combat Movement. Corrupted Spider QueenShe took seemingly ages to beat, too many attempts, and was just a hassle generally. I wanted to try it largely as a duel between spiders, since mine has nature resist and spit. With regen, my spider could tank a single poison spit while casting one and regen back to full health essentially by the time its poison spit was off cooldown. A couple problems with this were that the queen has nearly no cooldown on hers, so if I didn't peak around the corner and get back in time the spider took two or three spits. Next problem was that sometimes the queen would just decide that she was going to go straight at Cadi, even though she was far away. If she did this, depending on where she was, she could spit through objects. On top of that, the spider reinforcements got in the way later. I ended up having to clear them out, then get back to the queen. Seemed like she regened a lot of health from dropping out of combat. Eventually, I was able to get in a poison spit duel using a pillar, with Cadi parked out of line of sight, but not too far. Peaking out, firing a poison spit, and moving back behind the pillar, the queen would usually only be able to use one spit. A few times I was able to do it without taking return poison. Reason I had to do it slow and sort of lame like this is that if the queen spit twice on Cadi to overlap the DOT, she would die to DOT. Alternatively, if hit with one spit, then overwhelmed, she was dead. And for the most part, that is what happened if I tried to get in a bow vs spider duel, even with the friendly spider. Both Cadi and the spider's attack rating were low enough that hit rate was bad and DPS wasn't great against the queen. Web talent was also fairly unreliable. As was Arrow of Slaying (due to attack). Dead TrenchesSkipped pretty much all the non-mandatory enemies here, although still had to fight the bulk of them. Ranked emissaries could be problematic. Basically had to hit them with web and hoped it worked before they cast a useful spell, AoS, and animation cancel with bow (defensive fire off), and let spider melee. There is one in the tunnels with a lot of darkspawn around, where spiders drop down as you move close. Had to sacrifice the spider while Cadi was far back so that I could return and break up the group. That emissary moves a bit further up the tunnels, and can be fought individually after clearing out the rest in chunks. Bridge with the eight shrieks was a problem. Similarly, had to send the spider to trigger them while Cadi was behind the previous door. Then kill group one, and later group two. If shrieks didn't have stun, it might have been possible to just do it from the middle of the bridge and rely on defense, but they do. BroodmotherBroodmother has "spit," which is like poison spit but only does one tick of damage. Spider can regen more health than it starts with tanking spits. On the other hand, Cadi can't hardly take any in the fight. I could not reliably hold aggro on the spider if I used Cadi to also attack the Broodmother. So what I had to do was set Cadi's tactics to Self: Any -> Wait, and have her sit up the right ramp, and only engaging the mooks when they would be added. Otherwise, spider was in a spitting duel right up the ramp where it couldn't be hit by tentacles. This was slow. After the first wave of mooks, the spider had somewhat low health, but since I knew regen outweighed the damage from spits slightly, I could just let the spider sit there tanking while I literally did something else. Actually took the dog on a walk (15-20 minutes). Second mook wave has two shrieks, but I played it a little better than the first (where Cadi had defensive fire off, which I hadn't noticed), since I tried to get Cadi to do most damage to the adds so that the spider wouldn't take so much damage. Then it was back to spit duel again until the win. Positioning was basically like this Hoping Anvil won't be too horrible, although golems are annoying and I imagine part of it will be slow waiting on AoS. As for Branka, will have to avoid Shield Pummel, which probably means a lot of kiting. At least as an elf, I can hit lyrium nodes.

The normal way. Went into the tavern and used an Arrow of Slaying on the leader. I think it took a couple more shots to get the fight to end, can't remember exactly. Yeah-yeah. Funny for whatever reason. Thanks. After kiting her around the pillars for a while to get spider back, I went into a nook where I couldn't be hit by melee. Forgot indeed. Thanks for showing it now, should be really helpful if of course I am able to squeeze in there. Had nearly the same probleme if took Zevran with me (for locks). He was standing in stealth near the far side of the bridge. I was tanking the Queen (Warrior). What happened: the Queen usually used one spit or simply ignored me and ran to Zevran using spit from the middle of the bridge. I ran to her, so she attacked me instead. After that it could be different as well: either the usual earthquake or she ran to the mage with spiders and after to her lair. When I approached the lair either her helpers attacked me or helpers and the Queen as well (spit, web, OW), and after she again ran to Zevran in stealth. But did not notice any health regen.

^Maybe I misremembered how much I damaged the queen in between attacks on her, and then clearing out a lot of the spider mooks. *** Was hoping Anvil of the Void would be better, but overall it was a PITA, and not particularly fun. There was only one small positive, which I will get to later. I am not sure if the idea of skipping some sidequests and available XP has been worth it or not. I am not sure if the Anvil of the Void map is max level 17 like I have seen listed for the Paragon quest in total, or 18 like was claimed somewhere else specifically for this area. Regardless, entering at 17 would mean that ranked enemies were at least 17 if not up to 19 for the bosses. Also the fact that Oghren has to tag along really annoys me. I wish there was a mod to let you get rid of him, like with the option Wynne mod I have for the Circle (unlocks her from party picker). I was tempted to run zz_dropparty to kick him out. Darkspawn GroupsThese guys seem fairly low level though. I have 153 defense here, and they could really only hit me with Critical Shot. LT emissary died from web and one AoS. LT Ogre needed a little kiting with the spider. Golem PairsThe next bits were where this map started to get crappy, and was a preview of one version of the last fight. I am confident the enemy version of Slam is an auto-hit without an attack roll, which is crap. Similarly, golem's hurl a rock with an infrared seeker package installed so that it locks on to you and can't be evaded since we don't have access to the "Countermeasure" talent: Anyway, for the pairs of LT stone golems, the trick in the area was to aggro with the spider while the archer was back, then attack from range with defensive fire off for more dps, and have the spider block a doorway. If the golems were targeting Cadi, they would stupidly try to walk into the spider and could not get through the door. In this way it was possible to kill at least one before having to kite backwards until spider was ready. If only one golem, then generally I could run Cadi in a circle while the spider could just attack from behind repeatedly. If defense score or Evasion had any chance to block Slam, then these encounters would be easy. Spirit AnvilThis was actually a real headache before I noticed that the AI here is idiotic. Turns out that if Cadi did nothing, and the spider just used Poison Spit, the spirits would stand around and not attack. Needed to always attack a spirit that would not be healed by the anvil though, otherwise damage was too low. This was slow and stupid but worked. CaradinSomewhat on a whim since I hadn't fought him in ages, I decided to side with Branka first and do this fight. Beat it the first try. Had spider try to get aggro from Caradin and other golems while Cadi used AoS on a normal rank golem for a kill. Used the spider to grab lyrium nodes, while Cadi tried to do some more damage. Eventually what ended up happening was that Caradin and a golem were chasing Cadi around in a large circle while the spider just nipped their heels repeatedly. When it was just Caradin, he was losing a fair amount of health before a lyrium node popped back up and he activated the AOE tempest like ability. Ran out of that, and just repeated. Eventually he was dead. Was able to persuade Branka to destroy the Anvil, and she killed herself. BrankaWasted too much time attempting this. Unlike the Caradin version of the fight, Branka has Shield Pummel, which is essentially mission over if she can use it on Cadi, and may or may not end the spider depending on its health. General tactic I tried was to have spider poison Branka immediately for aggro, then try to attack far normal golem. Order Oghren to run near the anvil, while Cadi backs up a bit. Order Cadi to AoS near normal golem for a kill (unless some bs happens, in which case might as well reload). Ideally what can happen here is that the second normal golem is focusing on either a friendly golem, or maybe chasing the spider. The spider I would try to order to the lyrium nodes to deactivate them and heal, while holding aggro. While doing that, would have Defensive Fire off, and try to animation cancel to kill the near LT golem. If I was relatively lucky, the spider would die around the time I killed the LT golem, and there would be Branka, one LT golem, and one normal golem left. Hopefully not too far from Cadi at that point. Then attempted to kite in a circle close enough that the golems didn't do "LOL Hurl," but not too close that they did "LOL Slam" or Branka pulled her Pummel. After the seeming eternity of two minutes, idea was to summon new spider, which would hopefully draw aggro, and then use AoS on remaining normal golem. If all that worked out, then kite Branka and the LT golem around for another two minutes, then summon spider again, hopefully without getting hit with bs abilities, and then try to damage the LT golem with defensive fire off, animation canceling. If possible, run spider around with aggro. Basically repeat again as need until only Branka left. This is as far as I managed to get, the couple times I got here usually I would finally fail to resist her Shield Bash, or take a Pummel and it would be over. Similarly, that could happen at an earlier step and the game would basically be over. Cadi can in theory use the lyrium nodes, but with the idiotic animation, what generally happened was a golem or Branka would get in range and use a CC ability. Similarly, it usually wasn't practical to stop and use AoS on a golem in the "kite" phase. I do not think I can do this fight in a relatively fair way with this character. Not even sure if there is a way to "cheese" it. I have a pre-fight save, so I may go and get some XP via skipped enemies and quests. Was almost annoyed enough to also just blow all my gold on elfroot for XP. I am probably more likely to just go to the Landsmeet.

I was tempted to run zz_dropparty to kick him out. There is on nexus: cut Oghren content. Used it but removed as it somehow glitched Morrigan quest - there was no book in the chest of Flemeth (but Morrigan's robe was). Back there had to install additional mods for cut content already for Morrigan quest and the book was there. Too many problems. Now tempted to install the mod again (as well as Wynne mod) as it was very convenient, but can never know what will happen next. Similarly, golem's hurl a rock with an infrared seeker package installed so that it locks on to you and can't be evaded The game is full of such packages, almost every enemy where countermeasures can't help.

Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
-- Side Note: original post was shorter but wanted to try the Broken Circle. Just was not sure would be able to do it as went there naked. Turned out rather well, with usual problems. --
-- Equipment: initial dalish armor DLC bow Sorrow of Arlathan (have some arrows but will keep them for now) Amulet "Warden's Oath" + 2 CON Keeper's ring + 1 dex/Surveyor +1 WILL --
Mabari encounter Took about 10 attempts as tried to keep everyone alive (damn disease internet communicable). Mabari was the probleme. One attempt seemed easy enough with alive mabari, but the rest horde ran to Morrigan for some reason and killed her. During the last attempt used in a proper way acid flask and fire bomb, Amie (mabari name) was killed by Alpha in the very end (tried to aggro him but did not help), used defensive fire after the bombs, critical shot for Alpha. Anyway with some bombs (which I got mostly from darkpawn) it is not bad at all. The only thing was to throw them in the right place and time.
Lothering
Intimidated bandits on the road, dropped the team, the rest is clear. Defensive Fire did not help at all (73 + 23). Had to do it the usual way.
The probleme was Leliana recruit (that is why asked capn233 how he had dealt with the situation). But this time was just lucky: Leliana was tanking and I draw attention olny twice (so Leliana could backstab enemies).
Did the rest quests and encounters with lure.
-- lvl 7 Took Templar spec for mental resist and later AoE, not much help now anyway for a ranged GW + 1 STR + 2 DEX saved 2 points --
The Camp
Talked to people, did everything could do.
-- Out of interest Have mentioned started to get crits after got lvl 6 (with the rest GWs it was the same if my memory serves me well).` Used Aim mode lvl 6 - max crit 46 lvl 7 - max crit 48 but got them very often --
Now started to collect trap-making things just in case though can't use them (Alistair is on this case). Picked up Zevran (mod Zevran ASAP) using Defensive Fire, to replace lying ginger bitch.
Lake Calenhad Sten quest, activated Mage's collective quests. Tried to kill Deserters: pointless, even defensive fire did not help.
Broken Circle
First Floor: abominations were fine more or less (used defensive fire and running and finding new places to dig in), but rage demon with his fire tricks was killed in the room with other mages using fireball all the time.
Second floor: Damn blood mages: had no other way but to use bomb supply (acid flask + fire bomb killed them outright).
-- lvl 8 + 3 DEX saved points (3) --
Tried the Black Vials Revenant: with defense 75 (+ 23) and attack 78 (+ 2) there is nothing to do there.
Arcane Horror: used defensive fire against corpses behind the far statue, could be attacked at once by two of them at least and tried to delay Horror or not to make it/him/her hostile. Got the mage from the second attempt. It was already standing nearby, switched to Rapid Shot and got lucky unlike the first time.
Desire Demon + templars: tried several times but no spell resist even if managed to split DD and used balms. For later.
Abomination: had to use rapid shot + swift salve, otherwise nothing helped (again was sort of race). The rest inhabitants lured by 1-2.
Did not activate "Five pages, Four mages" quest for obvious reasons. Though the main thing in such cases: can simply forget.
Third floor:
Bewiched templar: left to deal after the fade.
Blood Mage with templars: after five attempts managed to split BM and the templars. Killed the templars but BM was unkillable. Had to use one acid flask and nature arrows (+2). After about 15 attempts killed her with 2 remaining points of health.
The Fade and the Sloth: with the Sloth mostly used a Golem form.
-- lvl 9 + 3 DEX CT4 Threaten (useless) Bravery Master Archer Arrow of Slaying --
Bewiched Templar: usually DD causes troubles, this time corpses with their life drain. Just million of attempts and that is all. AoS for DD in the room, after cut and run to the far room and hide btw the bed and "wall" to avoid several melees but still open for ranged enemies. Litany of Andralla was used to stun corpses at least.
Returned to DD with templars: DD lost her way, defensive fire for templars, AoS for DD (2 attempts).
Room with Shades and a rage demon: actually the only way to win, for me at least, was to split them. But could not do it without swift salve or some GW talent (like recent SS mage in Swarm form). Used lesser fire and spirit balms and after several attempts had to use swift salve to run away. After just killed them luring by 1-2 with defensive fire wich meant nothing while I was on fire (maybe some trinkets still helped to reduce damage).
Uldred Nothing fancy with running, kiting or animation canceling. As usual ran to the left side of the ladder and arrowed everyone from there. Took five attempts to get into right position so Uldred stopped using his spells but Mana Wave and tried to hit me with no success.
Shah Wyrd: always have a feeling should avoid not the Rage Demon but allied mages killing each other with fireballs.
Tried Revenant again: defense 85 + 38 and attack 85 + 6 was not enough; was a matter of luck more or less. Left for later.
Returned to the camp.

The probleme was Leliana recruit (that is why asked capn233 how he had dealt with the situation). But this time was just lucky: Leliana was tanking and I draw attention olny twice (so Leliana could backstab enemies). Yeah, Leliana should be invincible. But anyway, sometimes I retreat to the "kitchen," which blocks the archers and allows only a couple units in. Leliana often has the aggro of most units if you wait a second or so to start attacking. Just have to damage enough to end the fight though. On some other characters, I might try to kill off the other units while Leliana tanks the leader. It depends. Archer dps is not very good, which is why I just tried to end the fight quickly (and I didn't want too much XP since I was trying to get to Uldred at "low" level).

Messed around a little with the Branka fight again. I thought I might have found a trick that would work by hiding Cadi behind the column to the right of where you enter (or left if looking at the exit), where I could just run the spider around and attack Branka with poison dot. This would result in Oghren getting killed, but Branka often could not detect Cadi if she dropped out of combat. Or at least it was looking like that until finally she knew he was there. Oh well.
Anyway, decided to just do "easy" stuff for a while.
Orzammar
Killed the Black Vials revenant in the palace. Traveled to Soldier's Peak to unlock it, then went back to Orzammar.
Finished Ruck's quest, Thief, the Proving After Dark, and went back and cleared enemies from the Deep Roads, as well as took care of a couple things in there. Could not kill the Black Vials revenant in Caradin's Cross. After getting back, turned in Dead Caste, the Shaperate's Life, House Ortan, and got Key to the City since it was laying around.
Soldier's Peak
Boss Rage Abomination fight - could kite the boss around with the spider while it regened. So this wasn't too bad. Have to kill the two rage demons quickly though.
Took the deal with Sophia and killed Avernus. Can just retreat out of there and kill the units first. Arrow of Slaying did a lot of damage to him. I drank the mixture to get the power of blood (+5% more dodge).
Final Fight - I cheesed this by retreating the the stairs after the first wave. Could send the spider to lure a couple units at a time. For the final demon, hit it with Web, AoS and Poison. Tried to animation cancel shots with Def Fire off. Then sort of kited her in a circle a bit with Cadi so that spider could do damage. Cadi took a Horror, but I could finish the demon with attacks from the spider.
Killed Sophia afterwards.
Brecilian Forest
Finished Mage's Treasure.
Denerim
Since I took Stealing, Slim was around. But cunning is too low to reliably do anything. Talked to some guys for Grease the Wheels, killed and turned in Deserter, talked to Cesar. Did Alistair's Family. Hit Level 19. Considered adding cunning to get Mechanical Expertise (I have 19, requires 22), but didn't.
Back Alley - with Black Vials revenant
Crow Ransom - did this from back by the entrance
Lake Calenhad / Tower
Sten's Sword. Went into the tower and did Summoning Sciences, Watchguard, and activated 5 Pages 4 Mages. Opened some chests that I could.
Trade Route (5P4M) - killed mage immediately, enemies couldn't really hit me.
Redcliffe
Sten's Sword.
Unintended Consequences - killed mage first, couldn't really be hit.
Honnleath
Kitty - web + AoS first, then ran Cadi against the door and tried to block the stairs with the spider. Animation canceled shots, and could kill the rage demons before dying to fire.
Cadash Thaig
Had to be careful in one spot not to aggro / activate too many deepstalkers since they have stunning spit.
Shriek ambush - near a chest. Actually went on top of a rock where they couldn't get me instead of kiting them forever.
Ogre - kited that guy for a long time while spider did damage.
Twisted Path
The one with the thieves talking. Terrain is a little weird here where they can shoot through some of it, and some blocks them but they keep shooting.
More Traveling Around
Was trying to get the Camp ambush, I might have missed it entirely (although I don't really care).
Roadside Field (Redcliffe)
Winding Road (Orzammar)
Forest Stream - decided to do companion ones. AoS on qunari, web on leader. Then tried to DPS leader down.
Hillside Path -> Low Road - the latter was harder. Used the spider to peak around a corner and poison spit the Omega mage.
Denerim
Marjolaine - not too bad. Stayed in the first room to fight a couple at a time.
Hit Level 20. Again, thought about cunning but just went with dex for attack rating. Took Stealing 2 here, but that was a waste. With stealing 2 and 19 cunning, I couldn't reliably steal from even the first mark for Crime Wave.
Forest
Wynne's Regret
High Dragon and Flemeth
I could have probably done these earlier, but I was considering not at all.
High Dragon - summoned, then ran Cadi up the ramp towards the cavern exit, while spider used Poison Spit and then stayed to the side of the dragon with aggro and to keep it hopping. Cadi could then shoot it at leisure.
Flemeth - basically the same thing, Cadi was near the exit
Denerim
Got Dragonscale armor, bought Evon's and Felon's for no good reason, then got the Superior Drakeskin.
Rescue the Queen
Howe - AoS mage 1, web on mage 2. Then I ran back to the start of the dungeon area and then used AoS on the second mage. Then ran back to the room and went around the pillars until spider was ready. I only had ~50% health here. Then AoS one melee, repeat. Eventually kited Howe around with the spider or Cadi, whichever had aggro at the time. Other unit did damage. AoS seems to generate a lot of threat, maybe impact fix is doing that.
Cauthrien - really somewhat similar. Retreated to the library while spider was sacrificed in the room. Only one melee followed Cadi, so later had to draw her out. Cauthrien almost never attacked the spider, which was fine with me. Used maybe three AoS shots on her in the fight, largely the spider damaged her over time.
I had 162 defense, her attack is 116.5. Her normal attacks should have had a chance of 116.5+54-162=8.5% of getting past Cadi's defense, then multiplied by 0.75 for chance to dodge for total of ~6.4%. But she has Perfect Striking, so I didn't really try to test this.
Alienage
Grease the Wheels and Scraping the Barrel final people at the beginning.
Devera fight with 10000000 stun capable enemies is likely to be a problem.

I got through the Landsmeet to the Battle of Denerim. Then I noticed I didn't have 100% contribution to party damage. Leliana somehow got a kill I didn't notice at Marjolaine's. I have no idea why she would have attacked anybody. Big chunk of crap to redo. Devera and Caladrius fights were a big hassle. And Denerim was crashing a lot for some reason.

I have no idea why she would have attacked anybody. Big chunk of crap to redo. Why redo? Need to be perfect? Yeah, I want it to say 100% contribution to party damage. I did end up redoing it, and nearly everything was easier than before just because I knew what I was doing. The sole exception was Ser Cauthrien, where I tried to do more or less the same thing, but was unlucky and she hit me several times in a row. I made a change to mods before this run where I removed DA Rules Fixpack, and updated dain's fixes from the old version to the newest. The crashes started happening after the Landsmeet was called, I didn't have any before that (except when I tabbed out during a load, so I don't know if that was something else). I also noticed when I bothered to pick up all the letters for Correspondus Interruptus that the quest complete didn't trigger. In inventory it claimed I only had 5 love letters instead of however many it is, despite the codex entry having all of them. I think the newer dain's fixes uses a modded effect manager which is supposed to improve performance with mods. I have ZDF fix* as well, which is sort of an old set of fixes for plot and dialogue, and maybe it is interfering. Or not, I don't know. The first crash was during the Zevran Crow ambush with Talissen. At first I thought it was because I swapped in Zevran once I got to that map before the cut scene. Then it crashed after walking forward in the Alienage, after traveling there the first time. Then it crashed a couple different times loading into the market. On the redo, I did get a crash with an error message in the ambush again, which was about a C++ runtime. Then the only other one was in the same spot after traveling to the Alienage the "first" time. I did change a couple things on redo, where I turned in and completed a couple side quests before activating the Landsmeet instead of after. I had also removed the newer modal VFX hide tweaks as well though.
* ZDF was more or less superceded by Qwinn's, but I did not install that one since some of the unobtainable items in my alternate fixes aren't there, and I think Qwinn "fixed" the ability to romance Morrigan and Leliana in the same play through. Might take a look at that again. I also don't like that it is a dazip install, since I like just being able to take stuff out of override folder.

Yeah, I want it to say 100% contribution to party damage. Yeah, totally make sense. -- Than you are welcome to another club. I (as well as some other people) have crushes in a different manner. Without any mods at all. I made a change to mods before this run where I removed DA Rules Fixpack, and updated dain's fixes from the old version to the newest. The crashes started happening after the Landsmeet was called, I didn't have any before that (except when I tabbed out during a load, so I don't know if that was something else). From what you have mentioned have ZDF, Dain's fixes (did not check but suspect not updated). They both work fine since you have mentioned them. Plus some additional mods without impact on the game. Crushes started only after last but one and last installations (wierd and simply annoying to spend several days for reinstallations). Before - no crashes at all and nothing new on PC. Do not know, maybe the game itself installed in a wierd manner. You have mentioned fix mods (you have them both installed) and I installed only one (Dain's) as installation of another one seemed dangerous (according to comments) and needed sort of thorough digging. This whole crash-situation is just waste of time to figure out what is bad for the game or simply PC components need update. Often think it is the reason to leave the game as it is even if have to play with hell of bugs. Though some people just adore figuring out WTH is going on even if spend days on it. Fucked up situation. Sad. G-l with it. --- Are you going to check Oghren cut content mod? You anyway wanted to kick Oghren from the party.

Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
The Camp
Talked to people, rearranged the bag.
Careless accusations: three attempts (see Side Note). Ran to the left a little bit from warriors not to get stun, AoS for a mage, running around and killing at he same time a ranged enemy. After behind the tree hoping my defensive fire will be enough. Killed SnS guy from there, after running and simple shooting a Leader.
- Side Note: with this archer noticed (in the Circle as well) one thing - aim to use AoS e.g., get stun from someone and as a result AoS in on CD and no STA, though I did not shoot at all. Maybe with melees and SS mage there were such situations as well, but do not recall at all. --
Lake Calenhad: killed Deresters very fast this time.
Leliana quest (Ambush): Leliana started arrowing all of a sudden, switched her to another weapon which was "nothing" - she was simply staying and doing nothing. Tried different combinations, AoS for the leader was not enough at all, but at least he missed a lot. Thus AoS for DW merc, crit shot + some arrows for a wolf and ranged merc. After was just shooting at the leader.
Ban Loren's Land: decided to unlock the DLC and fight those mercs (usually do not even bother). Went there after ambush so Leliana was with me. Hid her behind one tree, hid Uncas behind another tree, and when only one simple merc was left cought a glitch where ended up on the hill above, could went down on the spot where Leliana was standing and that is all as simply stuck - reload. But used that way to win in any case.
Got Axameter.
Went to the Dalish
Talked to the fucking "loving his clan" BM, took in two side quests, not much to do as do not have skills and it can wait anyway. Went to the forest, ran around a bit. Defensive Fire at least helped. Killed the first ambush pack, after killing a bear got lvl 10 -- lvl 10 + 3 dex saved point --
Met werewolves with Swiftrunner in charge and could not even convince him to FO (do not even rememeber when it was last time if ever was). But AoS for him and they ran away.
Found Deygan, robbed him and returned to the Dalish (war is war). Will return him his trinket later.
Cleared the rest territory, talked to the Grand Oak.
Killed the Shade in the false camp (left me with about 1/4 of health).
Tried the Revenant from Mage's Treasure: killed me outright. But first Zevran (will use him as a decoy for Hermit to check what capn233 had).
-- Alright: tried to drop the threat off and nothing. Used Zevran as decoy, swift salve and all three of them still were chasing me across the whole map. Tried several times. Maybe indeed summoning animals are real decoys unlike team members. --- Tried to kill the Hermit - useless. Left for now.
Returned to the camp, killed another pack on my way, did something in the camp (the scarf, nature resist amulet, trade).
Roadside (mages): got fireball for help as a gift
Denerim
Killing spree!
Activated many quests (mages, chanry, street cleaner, intrested parties, crows).
Landry got his satisfaction (idiot).
Killed false Weylon - after will go to the Calenhad Tavern to get ambush and go to Haven.
Killed these and those etc., turned in some quests.
-- lvl 11 + 3 DEX saved two points -- Further killing spree across the whole map.
Got Star metal (could have thought to make a bow as well - "Long Bow Starfang!" What a shame).
Inn Ambush - easy
Encounter "Twisted Path" with guided arrows - with guided arrows left me with 1/2 health.
The Camp
Talking, gifts, rearranged my bag.
Still run around with initial equipment. Can't understend why kill so many idiots and still have no gold to buy at least something.
Next stop - Orzamamr.

Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
The Camp
talking, gifts, bag.
Orzammar
Killed bounty hunters (3 attempts as Defensive fire was not so helpful there, but mage got her AoS).
Killed Imrek
Killed the Deserters
Got another clue where Asala is with Sten standing next to me.
Orzammar itself
Robbed everyone from the upper level.
Could not finish some quests with Coercion 1. Have to wait (wanted to take "steal" for "Crime Wave" to get easy XP...maybe buy some books...)
Different quests and fights: - killed thug abmush in Dust Town standing in the usual place - convinced Zelinda to go to the surface with her baby - found nugs - stolen tome which sold myself to that shady guy - tunnel thugs - bound dragon - useless, as if no "defensive fire" at all. - Revenant - useless
Grabbed "Key to the City" - the most expensive item Uncas has.
Left Orzammar with several simple unfinished quests.
Left Orzammar for the Circle but always got "Bloody Plains": mage was not a problem at all but defense is crappy. Decided to take Wynne and do her quests but got "Gentle Path" instead. Went to Felix to get the rod.
River Crossing: usual spot, defense was good (two attempts).
Sign of Safe Passage: ran down to the river so archers at least could not get me. Anyway almost died.
Could not get to Denerim half an hour. Always got "Bloody Plains" (which now are closer to win, but not enough) or some pack of shades. Finally got Gentle Path (when again decided to take Wynne for her quest), spent gold on skill tome for Crime Wave.
Denerim
Turned in some quests, got lvl 12 -- lvl 12 + 3 DEX Coercion 2 Righteous Strike Cleanse Area Mental Fortress --
Did several Crime Wave quests (both talents).
Tried Marjolaine, but useless - two punches and I am dead with health above 200. For later.
Again "Bloody Plains" and already AoS somehow started to miss the mage all the time. If he is alive - the end. Took again Wynne to get her quest and got Gentle Path".
Was going to the Circle after Revenant (forgot last time). One attempt with 12 point of remaining health.
Orzammar
Happy Dagna ran away. Coercion 2 is already something, could do some quests, shake down more gold etc. Shifted brother Burkel death, but he did not mind it seemed. Rogek + Godwin - blackmailing
Bought the ring "Lifegiver" (finally something)
Tried Revenant again - matter of luck. Made save there.
------ lvl 12 defense 125 (95 +30) attack 98 (91 + 6) AP 13 ------
Now what I do - just run in circles and triangles without clear plan. Such state of things is always annoying. Maybe next will do the Dalish; plus already have something special for that fucker Zathrian.

I didn't try to troubleshoot the crashes too much further. I considered reverting to the other collection of mods, but won't bother for now. I finished this character the other day, but got sidetracked on some other things. Anyway a brief summary of the endgame.
Will take a look at the Oghren mod. Denerim MarketKited ogres and the General as needed. This section wasn't too bad. AlienageOn the other hand, this character was very weak against the mage general here. First cleared out a lot of the trash mobs from behind the gates, and did not travel out. When just the general was left, I positioned Cadi way back sort of near the tree. The spider moved up and could just poison spit on the general a few times. This general must have a fair amount of nature resistance, because the poison spit didn't do much damage. It was ~50% less per tick. When drawn out into line of sight of the archer, I used Web, AoS, then tried to animation-cancel shots with the archer while the spider attacked. Spider would die, but at extreme range and the general was killed before he closed and used a high damage spell. Think he might have used lightning on me (some others before on the spider). Palace DistrictNot terrible, but actually the first time I somehow aggrod two different large mobs of darkspawn, each with a Genlock Alpha. This was right after I killed the first ogre. I don't think I have really had that happen before. Otherwise, was methodical with AoS on emissaries. Fort Drakon StepsThis is not bad if you stay at range. ShapechangerDid this somewhat similar to the Alienage general. AssassinI cleared the nearby room with all the archers before this. Ran him back into there. Also found that it can be possible to cheese him by going behind a bench near one of the center walls. Sometimes if you do that he just stands around. But this also isn't necessary because the kite + spider method is also reliable. With my defense, he still hit me with one hit from a Flurry and another hit from Riposte - those two hits took away about half my health. ArchdemonI was thinking if the restriction was different such that it was only one item of clothes/armor, I would have done this fight naked except for the Corruption helmet. The way I did it was to summon the spider immediately, and have it attack the AD to draw aggro. Cadi wasn't going to take much spirit damage, although she took one hit right at the beginning. I ended up moving her to an upper portion, where the AD ends up at the last phase of the fight, but she could still shoot down from the edge. The spider ended up being killed after the AD flew to the inaccessible portion, and put the spirit damage field on it. I used the ballista, and it appeared that the AD might have focused on an NPC at that point. When it flew down to the last spot, I turned the ballista, fired it a couple times, then just used the bow. The AD was focused on Kardol, which was nice. *** All in all, this was sort of an interesting run. I suppose all of the "critical" path fights were doable in "a fair way," to steal the phrase that appears a lot on IN's wiki solo page. But there seem to me to be a lot of encounters that aren't. Then again, it all depends on perspective what counts as "fair" in a solo where you are out-manned 1000:1. Amusingly, this was the first full game I took the Ranger spec on the Warden (team or solo). The spider is great, but in some respects it feels a little like a duo rather than a solo. But even so this overall felt a lot more like a chore by the end. To an extent the "punch" rogue had a bit of that. So I was thinking I might take some time off from too restrictive solos. *** Finished that up over the weekend, and then since it had been ages ago, I loaded up Golems of Agmarrak to refresh myself on it. I used the DW warrior that inspired this thread actually. This isn't a solo though, just a lead in. But I wasn't thinking when I loaded the post-coronation save. Some of the best gear was not in inventory, and Starfang doesn't import. So I was stuck with Maric's Blade to go with Rose's Thorn. Also didn't have an extra respec tome or potion for the warrior guy. Harvester fight was worse than I remembered, although I think I only bothered to play this DLC twice (DW dex warrior w/ a lot of paralyze runes), and 2H warrior. But it did make me want to go through Awakening again. *** Imported the same character, although this time I want to camp and stripped gear or got it out of a chest so I would have it. I bought a Physical Technique tome to take, but I didn't think about trying to get a Skill and Sundry tome. Should have bought Veshialle too. Awakening is a lot easier than Origins, so I was breezing through a lot of the early stuff. Took Spirit Warrior of course. Got Voice of Velvet, was running Maric's before Spine of Dumat. Loaded them with Intensifying Runes, had Amplification in Evon's Mail. Now the first problem was in the Silverite mine. I didn't think about the fact that gear with like 60% dodge, good armor, and good critical damage was going to make that experimental guy extremely powerful when I had to face him in junk found gear. It took me a lot of tries to beat him, but practically the only way was to Holy Smite and hope it wasn't resisted, then try to mostly kill him before the stun wore off. The two dragon fight was pretty annoying. Since combat drops in and out, Berserk can't reliably be used. And I didn't really have the stamina pool to run Beyond the Veil indefinitely, which was a problem. I hadn't wanted to respec the character, but it may have been a good idea to do so and get more points in Clarity. I was going back and forth on if I wanted to actually increase dex enough for Unending Fury, or just stay with vanilla talents and auto-attack. I went and did the first part of Kal'Hirol to get Sigrun, then thought I might try to do Blackmarsh next to get Vigilance. I was pretty sure I did that on my 2H solo (where I only remembered the Queen giving me trouble - but that run I had no restrictions on pots or anything). There is a spot where there are two LT ranked Blighted Shadow Wolves, and I didn't even remember them at all from before. But often one Overwhelm killed my character, and if it didn't the second one did. I ended up running right through where they were to where Kristoff's body was, and only one had followed me in and I was able to kill it after a Holy Smite. Fade part was simple, but I didn't remember that you have to fight the Baronness before leaving. That fight didn't go very well, as I would get to the second phase where she could use Drain and get killed. Thinking back, it might have actually been possible for me to sort of cheese it just using Holy Smite over and over from range, but I didn't want to do that. So I went to a previous save so I could clear Kal'Hirol and get Golem armor.

Anyway a brief summary of the endgame. Not wrong about this part. Maybe humble screenshot of Cadi with final numbers with defensive fire etc.? Anyway, congrats with finishing this experiment. Harvester fight was worse than I remembered I usually cheat if things go wrong. Stand in the corner luring enemies that can kill me with 1-3 hits and arrow the Harverster. Without health regen it was useless, but all in all to do every fight there is annoying and difficult. Fade part was simple, but I didn't remember that you have to fight the Baronness before leaving. That fight didn't go very well, as I would get to the second phase where she could use Drain and get killed. Vicious Circle. Last time played Pride Demon caught me, restored full health, I ran a little to restore my health with some trinkets and after the same and the same. Did not have Templar spec or anything. Had enough health but in the end what of it (DW Warrior). Do not remember such cycles in previous PTs.

Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)
Orzammar
Left save near the Revenant. Tried again several times. A matter of luck so just left, maybe will return later.
As was in Orzammar decided to finish that "trust" - thing for Bhelen.
Aeducan Thaig. Struggled all the time. After meeting the first emissary already thought to go away, but after 10 attempts simply got lucky as was standing behind some rock where tha mage could see me and used just staff (after all his curses) but hit the rock, and I hit him. At first did not want to go everywhere as well as everywhere during the Deep Roads trip. Though cleared everything anyway - had to spend three bombs and 2 nature resists (in vain since used bombs).
Returned to Orzammar. Killed Ambassador. Again tried the Revenant (took three attempts, almost died).
Harrowmont fanatics in elite area: it seems my defense is not suitable for some enemies as get damage more often.
Fanatics in Commons: there are more 2h fanatics here, got PS all the time but resisted almost half of them (which is a surprise).
Visited a new chantry just for the hell of it (been ages since did that as almost never do that quest).
Asked about Jarvia. Killed everyone in the room. Started "Carta Hideout" to see how bad it would be. Tried the first encounter: died two times, defense is bad. Left a save here and went further. Took the route right to Jarvia (in case it would be a waste of time to fight her). During assassin ambush got lvl 13 -- lvl 13 + 3 DEX saved point --
Jarvia Wierd. Was just standing in the left corner behind the fire, getting hits from time to time including Jarvia, health regen helped a lot. Used fire arrows. Killed everyone rather fast. Earlier hideout encounters were more difficult. Wierd. Cleared out the rest of the hideout.
Denerim
Went there only to finish "The Crows", Crime Wave (everything before LM) and again try Marjolaine (no progress at all, even worse this time).
Haven
Started to kill from the chapel - the village - the temple. Got lvl 14 during fight for the key. -- lvl 14 + 3 DEX Champion Spec saved two points --
Watched High Dragon cutscene and returned to the camp to empty my bag. Sold junk, bought Spellward.
High Dragon Used old method (if the Dragon started spit-spam) but as an archer it was not long at all (with Flemeth though do not know what to do yet). Ran from ruined circle to the territory near it and back: two places where the Dragon landed. One - two shots from each place. Sometimes the Dragon flew closer (instead of fly away and appear again) which meant it was planning to do something from its battle arsenal. Considering the distance it was fire spit or buffet (rare). Health regen was good enough to handle all that. Still had initial dalish armor and DLC bow, only trinkets changed. Used Aim mode. Used lesser warmth balm but was not necessary actually.
Interesting one thing though: it is fire dragon so used ice arrows which gave me only +1 damage. But + 2 nature damage (only did not have many nature arrows). For now can't think of logical explanation for that. Just "deal with it"?
Anyway killed it, got the ashes.

Anyway a brief summary of the endgame. Maybe humble screenshot of Cadi with final numbers with defensive fire etc.? Attack was 103, defense 138 (+30 = 168 with Defensive Fire) Yeah. There isn't really any other way that I can think of for archer (or a couple other characters) to deal with them. IIRC, Black Vial Revenant defense goes up to ~100, which is effectively 110 with Aura of Weakness (since it debuffs 10 attack from warden). Ice and fire arrows are rated at 2 damage, while nature are rated at 3. The dragon nominally should have 0 resistance to either, but on Nightmare, everything gets 5% damage resistance dropping the number down. The displayed damage is a truncated. So the arrows should have been doing something like 1.9 and 2.85 respectively, but that will be displayed as 1 or 2. *** I finished Awakening, it is damn short really (especially if skipping dialogue). I think I made a lot of mistakes with the run. I had respec'd at some point to give me more dexterity so I could take the Twin Strikes line to Unending Fury. Then I tried to gear my character for "max dps." The problem here is that I had already made a few stupid mistakes as far as dps is concerned. Really I should have imported after buying Veshialle, since it turns out it is the second best 1h after Vigilance. On top of that, I was running Dumat's Spine, but Blightblood is actually a bit better. Anyway, with Spirit Warrior and Beyond the Veil's massive -10 stamina regen, I am not entirely sure it is worth gearing for top DPS in a solo, nor am I convinced Unending Fury is worth taking. It is only worth using on bosses mostly, but with the big stamina penalties, it has to be used at the right times so that you do not drop the sustains. I mentioned the Baroness earlier, which is a perfect example. If you do everything right in the first phase of the fight, where you time "Second Wind" just right after Twin Strikes, and into Unending Fury, you can kill her before she goes through the gate into the second phase with drain. To do this, I had to use Bloodthirst, avoid massive attacks, and kill the shade at the right times. Then time the Twin Strikes, Second Wind, and Unending Fury correctly so that she would die about when I ran out of stamina, before sustains dropped off. Dropping Beyond the Veil and Momentum in fights is a big issue, but happens easily if a mistake is made when the gear is slanted towards +strength or critical instead of stamina regen. In retrospect, I wonder how it might have gone with just a "full strength" build, with gear tilted more towards durability or stamina. Had to tilt that way for a few fights anyway, so I suppose that isn't even a real question. Some notes: Last fight in Kal'Hirol was laughable. Beat down the mage, Twin Strikes -> Unending Fury to finish him. Inferno Golem can't hardly touch the Warden. I kited the golem around after killing the mage with Beyond the Veil off so I could regen stamina. Then after it was up, stabbed it to death. In the Avaar crypt, the boss shade inhabits an Avaar that has 100% spirit resistance, so can't use BtV. That needed a fair amount of kiting. So for the second round of Blackmarsh (after Kal'Hirol), since I knew about the twin LT rank Blighted Shadow-wolves, I crafted three Paragon Stout Runes (+14 con x 3) and put them in Evon the Great's Mail. Then I tried to fight them. I had > 600 health and ~40 something armor. I was still sometimes being killed with one overwhelm, and never survived two. It was laughable really, and made me wonder about their damage scale. I had to run past again, and hope I could fight them one at a time. That took a couple attempts this time, but did work. The Baronness I did beat twice, actually. The first time a shade attacked Justice while I was kiting, so I wasn't entirely happy. I was kiting because I didn't kill her before she went through the gate, so I retreated to avoid Drain. I reloaded and went all in on sustains with Precise Striking, Momentum, Beyond the Veil, Berserk and Bloodthirst. Basically it was all auto-attack until the first Shade came through the portal, then a single Massacre. More auto-attack, then at ~35% health or so hit Twin Strikes, Second Wind, then Unending Fury. That should basically kill her before she can go through the gate. Queen of the Blackmarsh was a PITA. That was the most notable thing I remembered from my 2H solo in Awakening. I needed to run Stormchaser gauntlets, Greater Shock resist, and I switched amulets to the +Nature's Blessing for mana / stamina regen. Even such, I basically couldn't even bother to run Beyond the Veil due to taking lightning damage (and losing stamina). Architect fight was bothersome as well. Similar to the Baronness, the strategy was to somehow bumble my way to enough auto-attack damage to where I could do the Twin Strikes -> Second Wind -> Unending Fury at the right time that he was killed before I died or sustains turned off (which also meant death). I had to target Utha first, so that Cataclysm was centered more on the stairs, and I could run through to find a spot with no fire to fight the Architect. Again, I wonder if just going spell immunity with stamina or health regen might have made this easier. Mother was again the same thing. What allowed me to do it with no consumables and no tower use was running Stormchaser gauntlets along with Nature's Blessing amulet (instead of Spellward). It was mostly an auto-attack bonanza, where I went Twin Strikes -> Second Wind -> Unending Fury when she was at ~20-25% health. Micro to avoid grabs and sweep. More thoughts and mistakes: 1. I should have bought The Veshialle in DAO in the Post-Coronation save, since it would have been better than any other one-handed weapon in Awakening except for Vigilance. 1a. I was running Dumat's Spine for a lot of the game, but if I would have actually thought or tested, Blightblood is a better sword (third best in Awakening). Although it is starting DLC stuff, not that it is really much more powerful than other Awakening things. 2. Not sure that spending the extra 10 dex to go from 40 to 50 in order to get Unending Fury is actually necessary or even a good idea in a solo with a Spirit Warrior. More strength should have made Massacre more damaging. I ran into some irritation when annoying trash mobs would have a tiny amount of health after Massacre. 2a. Should have probably geared more for a mix of stamina regen from the start. 3. Should have considered a Manual of Focus out of the gate. Partly for Clarity. 3a. May have been worth dropping Templar for Champion or Reaver. 4. Should have used High Regard of House Dace for the bonus stamina. Starting DLC thing, same note as Blightblood.

Attack was 103, defense 138 (+30 = 168 with Defensive Fire) Thanks. Here it is. Now have looked through information about arrows. Some conclusion are made out of it. -- Done with DAO?

No not necessarily, but I am taking it easy so to speak. After doing no-pot fists and the three talent run, am a little temporarily burnt out on high restriction solos.

No not necessarily, but I am taking it easy so to speak. After doing no-pot fists and the three talent run, am a little temporarily burnt out on high restriction solos. Understood. Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)Bloody Plains: get it not the first time but have always lost. On the way to Denerim got it again and got Crushing Prison right away. Reload. Again the same but the emissary first cast regen and got AoS. The rest was rather easy. Defensive Fire and some running. -- lvl 16+ 3 DEX Coercion 3 Holy smite War Cry Rally -- The problem here is that having Death Blow would have been nice considering STA the most useful talents need and some penalties. But for that I need 25 STR. Will be seen soon enough. DenerimOdered first "better armor". Gave the scrolls. Visited Genetivi. MarjolaineWhat a bitch. After 15 attempts it was simply luck that she somewhere missed, I somewhere hit. Btw, it looked like she used cancel animation. Wynne- first encounter was difficult only because I could not save Wynne: repositioned her in different places but for some reason she aggro'd attention all the time - second encounter took two attempts: used spirit and nature resists, Wynne again aggro'd attention of everyone but Omega. Killed others, went to Omega and killed him standing slightly behind the rock. He was doing angry animations only The DalishHelped Cammen to get the book: needed to trade something to get the helmet for the dalish armor set. Sten helped with the Halla. The Brother's Killer (Mages' Collective): Holy Smite, after depended on something (several attempts). Wynne's Quest: done. The HermitLuck after 25 attempts. During last attempt had to use 1 acid flask + 1 freeze bomb for rage demons, first Holy Smite for the Hermit which was a waste as he used hex on me w/o cast animation and was stunned for 1,5 seconds. After was simply shooting at him behind a rock (he killed me all the time with WG). Also used one lesser ice salve (also a waste). Oh, yes, first got my helmet from the dalish armor set. Further dalish tripSpider: died once as did not resit web and was OW'd X times. The second attempt: ran to the first room to split them somehow, again almost no resist to web, two OW but edned up well. -- Ctrl + Esc to find info abou WEB resistance. Maybe I was doing somethig wrong but could not find anything useful, I mean what kind of resistance it is, some formulae, such things. -- Dragon: tree, aime mode and shoot. Returned as usual to empty the bag. Still run in the initial dalish armor. Tried one "Mage's Treasure" encounter near the Hermit: not a single hit from entourage and the Revenant himself, only from his Pull. Strange. Defense 152 Attack 102 Damage: range crit chance 15.60 %, AP 13. Damage to the Revenant was about 35-45. Mage's Treasure (with a mage): the same thing, only two attempts because of the mage. Mage's Treasure (near the lair): the same thing. Lower ruins: the same story with "non-resist" to WEB thus two attempts + lesser nature balm + 20% nature resist belt (changed sta regen). Hordes of Skeletons: was standing near the sarcophagus in some side room, only one could hit me and missed all the time anyway. Mage's Treasure with Mage and Shades: just left it after fucking amount of attempts and strategies. Guess next time it will be the last place to come as each time see some new spells like WB this time. If managed to kill a mage, Shades simply knocked me down all the time and I had no resist to it at all and thus did not have time to do anything. Come back later if do not forget. Black Vials Revenant: two attempts. Nice, i guess. -- lvl 16+3 DEX Motivate -- Black Vials Revenant (2): one attempt. Final Fight with Zathrian. That was just something. Have never had problems with this fight, but not this time. "Cleanse Area" did not work for some reason. The very first time. Tried to find something during PT but failed. How killed Zathrian? By miracle it seems. Shades were the problem with Life Drain and knocking me down all the time. 60 attempts with a break; used balms, different armor, strategies - nothing. 61st attempt was a success just because of luck - used balms, swift salve, some bombs, AoS (usually did not have time even for that), was standing near the left sarcophagus and shooting Zathrian while shades were doing their things. Helped that all my hits were crits. That was all. Returned to that Ghost with shades: 30 attempts and killed them all. What is that with shades knocking down without animation. Do not remember GW simply could fall because of some kick. Only with leap or something. -- Anyway: - have never had kock downs after simple kick or hook from the right - "cleanse area" did not work for some reason (at least here) - WEB resistance is under question

MarjolaineWhat a bitch. After 15 attempts it was simply luck that she somewhere missed, I somewhere hit. Btw, it looked like she used cancel animation. Even after playing the character with fists the whole game, I am not entirely sure how they work. It does look like the animation is often canceled, I don't know if that is because the actual animation was longer and they changed the attack speed at some point, or it is just sort of buggy. I noticed that in the talk page of the wiki, they note for the summon / shapeshifter version of the talent that references in the article were removed until someone posts the code of it. That was back in 2010. I am fairly convinced it is a physical resistance check, but what stat it uses from the spider against the Warden, I am not sure. Reason being whenever I used +physical resistance gear from Hale runes or the Deadhead Charge amulet, I resisted more webs. I don't think that was just dumb luck each time, it was across different characters. I don't think I have had that happen. As for shades, they have Slam as well as Leap. Slam is a knock-down if you fail the physical resistance check. *** After I posted I imported Cadi into Awakening just for some laughs. Had a lot of free time yesterday actually, and played through most of the campaign. I did not really place myself under gear restrictions. I used the Manual of Focus as soon as I could get it to increase Cunning to 22, and switch Duelist to Bard. Added on Legionnaire Scout. Have used Summon Spider, Arrow of Slaying, Scattershot, Accuracy and Song of Courage. I think that it may have been possible to do the whole thing just about as easily without AoS and Song of Courage. No consummables so far. Since I didn't care about restriction on gear so much, using Battledress (Awakening), and used Cadash Stompers as the boots most of the game. Bow is the Awakening version of Sorrows. Used Cinch for the belt and sometimes High Regard, but later Illumination. Have not needed health regen at all. Used 3 x Paragon Immunity runes against the Dragon, Cadi only got hit once by lightning, the rest of the time it was focused on the spider. All that is left the final battle in Amaranthine or Vigil, and the last slog to the Mother. If I bother to fight the Architect, will need to use the immunity runes I guess. Might need health regen anyway though, don't know.

or it is just sort of buggy Yeah, buggy like shooting through rocks with guided arrows or "infrared seeker packages" etc. More challenges for the player. I noticed that in the talk page of the wiki, they note for the summon / shapeshifter version of the talent that references in the article were removed until someone posts the code of it. That was back in 2010. Don't follow. Why do that? Cadi only got hit once by lightning, the rest of the time it was focused on the spider. Pet spider survivability is impressive. -- Will write in advance about Shades' abilities. After your post about "slam" the other night looked through information about slam and leap. I am old, can forget things, so actually did think during Zathrian encounter Greater Shades spammed Slam. Played Honnleath later and saw leap and slam animations, but at the same time got left/right hook/uppercut from shades, the same that always knocked me down during Zathrian encounter and the same two Greater Shades spammed each 0.8 sec. Like Marjolaine maybe only with great force. So slam, leap and simply hits it seems? In Honnleath Shades missed almost all the time with simple hits or whatever it was, but that gave a chance to watch what was going on and those were not slam or leap talents, shades simply wanted to punch me to the death. Anyway, strange. Cleanse Area worked with mages' spells before and after Zathrian confrontation. Too bad have no saves with other GWs near that encounter to check. -- Warrior Archer no-pot-solo-PT (continuation)DenerimTurned in some quests. Odered the second "better armor". Bought "Felon's Coat". K Hideout: done Tried Unbound: left after two attempts. Tried Soldier's Peak: left after three attempts to kill Arcane Horror with two rage demons. Left as that was ridiculous: as if I was naked, with no resists at all and had only the bow which could not use since was immobilized by some spell all the time. Will try later. Return to OstagarPut on "Repeater Gloves" (fix mod is installed) The only annoying thing - ram-spam. And because of it during the last encounter ran straight to the emissary to kill. Took two attempt. Got some simple encounter with 3 blight wolves and bear. HonnleathOutside got lvl 17 -- lvl 17+ 3 DEX Superiority -- KittyPut on Wade's first armor set for fire resist not to use the balm. AoS for Desire Demon, shooting for rage demons (upgraded "war cry" works just fine for them and shades). Though some more burning and would have been dead. Want to try Soldier's Peak again, but that "no-resist" thing right away bothers. Maybe should have done it earlier (was lvl 16). Always finish this DLC earlier and now simply watch new tricks from enemies. We'll see.

Don't follow. Why do that? The person who did that said that since the in game description didn't mention a resistance check, the reference would be removed until somebody could post proof. Yeah it has 2.5 health regen, but sort of like with a high dragon, if you can stay to the side in between the front and back legs it won't hit with physical attacks. It was a lot harder to prevent the lightning spit compared to fire spit though. Part of that may be how it hops around. Yes, that is my experience as far as I can remember. It is the same as the ability on the enemy golems. I don't remember if Shale's Slam or the one on the golem form in the Fade actually can miss though.

Have never used "Ranger" (do not like to look after my pets in game or trip over animals, summoned by my team). As understand Spider is far more useful in comparison with Wolf and Bear? Did two other animals become just useless at all since you used only Spider? (more flexibility and agility combined with health regen?) Yes, that is my experience as far as I can remember. It is the same as the ability on the enemy golems. I don't remember if Shale's Slam or the one on the golem form in the Fade actually can miss though. Now think about those kicks during Zathrian encounter and think was just surprised how such thing could happen at all. One-three knock downs - alright, saw "Slam" or some "Leap" popped up before that. But to be knocked down all the time by simple hits without stop that cannot even do anything? Just do not remember such situations. Now know about such surprise.

I am not sure the bear even tanks better than the spider in real encounters since it has very low defense.
