HNO-Battleaxe-no-pot-solo-PT
Bought Evon the Great's Plate and put it on.
Finish Oghren love caravan quest.
Had two encounters with no problems at all: - three blighted wolves and a bear - dwarves vs darkspawn
Redcliffe - usual preparations (without fire) - the whole village is fighting (means that elf, Lloyd etc) - took me about 15 attempts to get the outcome with everyone alive as always had one deadman - used swift salve and some poison
Got level 20 -- lvl 20 +3 str Aura of Pain --
Nothing interesting in the castle. Did not fight Desire Demon as it was always simple at this stage.
Irving went to the Fade - was very simple suspect because already know how can use his spells choice.
Saved everyone, got one talent point -- Blood Frenzy --
Had some random encounters, Chantry's Board (four shades, caravan down, bloody plains etc), but nothing difficult so whatever. Just want to check certain encounters and enemies.
Still decided to try Flemeth the Shapeshifter: - used Wade's fire resist armor set + some lesser fire resist + dragonebone BA - attempt 1: in the very end fire spit spam - attempt 2: was eaten - attempt 3: in the very end threw 3 bombs to end it quicker - compare it with other PTs: the encounter was very-very quick - max crit: 136 (once only), the rest 86 - 122 (again, often crits)
Reload - just took the book without any fighting.
Called the Landsmeeting.

HNO-Battleaxe-no-pot-solo-PT
Zevran: used crates to hide for a while, that is all
After K-ambush got level 21 -- lvl 21 +3 str Coercion 4 (no need actually, better take "survival" for some resist, but at the same time for that time no need enemy scanner) Precise Striking --
Gaxkang - 5 attempts with final simply "lucky this or that" (spell resist, dodge) - used greater ice salve, greater spirit balm, swift salve, demonic poison - my T7 BA (stopped switchig to Faith's Edge as saw no difference in numbers) - armor for spell resist (elven gloves/templar armor/elven boots)
Revenant ambush: used swift salve (have a lot of them to survive using BA), almost died (lost the second Revenant somewhere, suspect it is the Orzammar Palace).
Crime Wave: during ambush just used Zevran to run around, killed the closest to the exit enemies and went away.
Howe: - devided into two groups + FA - and again shapeshifter mage resisted PS; was a good thing FA worked on him twice when PS did not work at all
Cauthrien - hall attempts failed, again - used the long table in the next room - not to waste time: FA from the reaver tree (never failed) - PS - if PS worked used MB/or if PS failed THS could work to knock her down and after MB - did not take much time as STA regen was good and FA + PS + MB worked almost always (sometimes sunder, once THS gave crit) - max damage MB 126 (which was the usual number) - once her Summer sword knocked me back - annoying
The Alienage
Died twice during Devera encounter (too many enemies at once)
Caladrius encounter can be rather interesting depending on his own behavior and what the player decides. Died once here only (froze to the death as did not watch health bar). But he is a cheater as others with his hex spam. PS and FA help in that case.
Something Wicked - another reminder during some encounters I need swift salve while using BA (though not always) - died several times as low health regen and nothing to Devour - kept Otto all the time far-far away behind closed doors - Otto did not died (he can, two times) - in the end used Wade's full armor set + greater warmth resist (75 % cap anyway) - used several acid flasks
Turned in quests in Denerim and got level 22 -- lvl 22 + 3 str Critical Strike --
Plus bought one tome in the Alienage and took Survival 2 (do not really bother buying tomes).
Killed Loghain (easy, very easy) and got a talent point: put into Archery as there is nothing I need in DAO at least.
Finished Crime Wave by using Zevran in Stealth without any kills.

HNO-Battleaxe-no-pot-solo-PT (the end)Used: - Evon the Great's plate + Wade's gloves and boots + honnleath helmet (sometimes changed parts to check crits or get more resist) - the same trinkets - Battleaxe T7 with runes + 10 % SR+ 5 % fire damage + 10 % darkspawn damage Redcliffe: died there once from "crushing prison + enemies around including the Ogre". Easy in the courtayrd. Market District: - with General FA + MB + the well + running around the well (MB damage was not so great but went fast anyway) - there was a mage from whom got crushing prison with the ogre nearby (is he always there? Just do not remember him) Alienage: lured the General to the tree, ran around it a bit (got some spell first). Drakon FortSteps: - million attemps - unlucky to have two dragons - usual strategy but did not work as some enemies came just too close and ignored objects to hit me - in the end rushed ahead a bit to throw grenades and ran back (the left fence corner) for health regen: took several attempts but was good as enemies in such cases started to reposition each time in different places; also had no second dragon Archdemon: - had to reload as one helper stole my kill (already think it is easier just let them die first) - used ranged and melee weapons -- Some notes about using Battleaxe: - swift salve: better have it (in the end had about 50 of it), though used it rare anyway - bombs: think during this BA-no-pot-solo-PT used so many of them. Used only when already did not know what else to do, closer to the end used not so much and as a result still had a big supply (as my poison-fetish) - still felt slow-mo in difficult encounters where even swift salve did not help - crits: very often -- About crit armor: still can't understand if it even influences crits as sometimes damage changed, sometimes did not. Checked throughout the whole game. In the end as well. So it is under question. -- Battleaxe behavior (closer to the end already): - damage: 80-90 - crits: sometimes 140-150, sometimes 110-120 as have mentioned - can't figure out; though the main thing - crits were very often, often indeed (and do not mean MB); max crit was 172 - once, with master assassin in the palace (MB, precise striking, crit armor - who knows why) -- Here she is

First.
Continued HNO-Battleaxe-PT in DAA and two other DLCs.
What noticed and wanted to mention here.
In DAA during the "Mines" plot quest you are caged and have to find your armor and weapon.
I used the BA "Frenzy", nice armor and everything. During "Mines" quest found some crappy Maul with penalties, crappy armor. And the thing is that crappy maul with penalties gave high damage as it is, simple successful hits. Not to mentiom crits. Got my BA back with armor and frustration in addition.
Still continued BA-PT, but about that "maul-part": imo the Maul is the best 2h weapon. Have always thought so. In DAO it was my opinion and practice proved it. And now later in DAA and DLCs I see the same thing.
Second.
DEO - Warrior-Archer - no -pot-solo- PT
Some time ago started such PT but could not finish because of PC problems.
Still feel some annoyance as could not complete that PT, even wrote some main things about "what's what" and opinion about the build.
Anyway, started again (the feeling of "unfinished business" mostly even if it was damn boring).
Last time had difficulties in some places, in others (like the Circle) it was rather easy for some reason. Will have a chance to compare, but mostly in my opinion it is just "luck" (was indeed lucky in the Circle last time with Warrior-Archer). --
Dalish Elf
Warrior-Archer
Usual rules: just two tomes in the beginning, DLC bows due to lack of them; maybe will install mod to get another bow without any suicide - have never used that bow and do not like the way I can get it.
Origin
Main things - locks everywhere: warrriors, warriors... - traps everywhere: died 10-15 times thanks to not noticing them, just tried not to trigger them as remembered their location, but still died - spiders everywhere: was looking for some spots not to be OW'd - emissary: last time it was more difficult and included running all over the place, this time - one attempt
Used ugly Butterfly during the second visit to the ruins as before.
In general: rather easy in comparison with the first PT (mind the traps).
-- Attributes/armor/build after meeting the king
Level 3
str 14 dex 27 will 12 mag 12 cun 12 con 13
Def 62 + 8 Attack 71 + 2
MR 3 PR 12
Skills* Coercion 1 Survival 1 CT 3
* do not have Steal and Poison. Stealing: could get one belt and usually some crap worth almost nothing so not a big deal Poison will still take later for using grenades
Build Melee archer Pinnng shot Rapid shot Powerful Aim
Armor/weapon/trinkets - initial dalish armor set - amulet + 10 % spirit resist/belt + 0.75 sta regen/ring +1 dex - bows: initial short bow (first part), butterfly (second part)
Ostagar
Daveth opened chests he could. Talked to others, the usual.
Korcari Wilds: lure - kill.
-- After the Joining
Crippling shot Critical shot
Switched to +2 con amulet Could use the DLC bow "The Sorrow of Arlathan" --
The Tower of Ishal: the first floor can be annoying only, but not this time
In the the tower got level 6 -- +3 dex poison (actually thought of CT4 and AoS as well, but already have supply of grenades which is also nice) threaten --
Mabari: 2 bombs, mabari died.
Lothering: lure-kill, though twice had to run to my hiding place near the chantry wall (bandits on the road and 2h bandit leader with his crowd).
-- lvl 7 +3 dex Templar spec Righteous strike --
Now in the camp
-- Side note: rather fast PT. The same thing was last time. At least it can help with "the boring" part.

DEO - Warrior-Archer - no -pot-solo- PT
Camp: talking.
Zevran encounter (mod Zevran ASAP): had to spend three bombs as could not win at all. Not that it is a surprise as this Zevran encounter (and mod) is for later game. Defensive fire did not help, but rapid shot did. Plus some luck. Twice almost won but triggered a fire trap.
Infiltrated Orzammar
On the way killed Imrek only (two attempts) using usual tree-spot as DF was still of no help with those enemies.
Got "Key to the City".
Had only two encounters in the Dust Town with several attempts each time: - stolen tome - thug ambush
Returned nugs and left for the Circle.
The Circle
-- Last time had AoS which was of great help. In this PT do not have it. --
First floor: - after several attempts had to lure the rage demon from the central room to other mages: helped - four abominations with defensive Fire ON were fine
Got level 8 -- lvl 8 + 3 dex one free point --
Revenant: tried, as last time, just to check. 10 attempts and about only 10 hits with damage 25-37 (crit).
With Ancane Horror exploited the game: ran away to lure corpses. After Arcane Horror was just standing nearby. Took several attempt: always the first spell he used was lighting, fireball, WB. IIRC it was the second time in all my PTs where used grounding as it acually helped unlike any other resists.
With melee enemies - defensive fire. With magical enemies only rapid fire could help + luck + some bombs.
Desire Demon with a Templar - left for later as usual (after the fade as will get more space for manoeuvres). Blood mage with templars this time are left for later as well - 10 attempts and was tired from her fireballs already.
-- level 9 + 3 dex CT4 Arrow of Slaying Master archery --
Sloth Demon As usual the only problem is Ram-spam. Three attempts because of that.
-- Arrow of Slaying makes life much easier --
Killed enemies in those two rooms: AoS for DD/Blood Mage. The rest are just melees.
Uldred Three attempts as always turned up on the ladder. Two times Undred used spells, the last attempt was lucky. AoS - 82 and 104.
Shah Wyrd Just for fun triggered the encounter and did nothing but watching what three mages there would do (was standing on the ladder). They used different spells (creation and primal trees). But died anyway. Children were of no interest to the demon. After used AoS + shooting (almost burnt to death).
To the camp.

DEO - Warrior-Archer - no -pot-solo- PT
Camp
talked to people, got some quests, sold things (want to buy Lifegiver)
Encounter "Careless Accusations": AoS for a mage, the rest just shooting. Two attempts as SnS warrior with his Pommel Strike stunned me and after the mage killed me with his lightning staff. Had to run a bit from SnS warrior.
Leliana's ambush: two attempts just because was unlucky. The second time DF worked well and Leliana survived. Did not move from the starting place. Killed DW rogue, a wolf and a ranged enemy. After the Leader (one AoS was not enough at all).
Deserters near the Inn and Orzammar: DW enemies are the first to get AoS as with their love for Flurry and Momentum can kill fast.
Bounty Hunters: AoS for a mage. Almost died as got everything from everyone at the same time. So had to run (crawl as got Cripple) to my hiding trees and killed the rest from there.
-- lvl 10 + 2 str* + 1 dex Bravery --
* Could wait to get some trinket and get higher STR, instead spent two ponits to it instead of DEX. Does not really matter now as mostly encounters are fine even with what I have, and AoS is the second important thing. There are always enemies around, so Bravery at least will be of some help.
Encounter "Dark Forest" (with spider ambush): died once in the very end from poison, but not the point. Most of the time spent in the web. Was annoying.
The Dalish
In the camp not everything could do. In the forest killed everyone till got to the Hermit (left him for later). The only problem: three Orgres using Ram Spam, each, with the only outcome for me. Kiting them took much time.
Needed "Lifegiver" for health regen and 10 gold in addition. So went to the DLC RtotheO: played till the bridge part. Died many timed in the very beginning - a mage. Finally decided to try "stun arrows". Worked just fine.
Had enough gold for Lifegiver.
Put on Repeater Gloves (have Dain's fix mod installed)
Went to Orzammar.
Bought the ring, killed some thugs to level up
-- lvl 11 + 3 dex Precise Striking (for whatever reason) -
Tried the Revenant AoS: 100 + Avg damage: 35 Switched to the Witch Robe (from the circle) for additional health regen.
Did not kill and left.
Honnleath
Kitty was the only problem. No spell resist at all. After 10 attempts (DD always started with Horror) used several bombs. Shades were fine.
Killed the Circle Tower Revenant (5 attempts). --
Anyway, my attack was crappy half of the time no matter the enemy. DO not know why.

DEO - Warrior-Archer - no -pot-solo- PT
Wynne First ambush: several attempts as was trying to keep Wynne alive. Second ambush: ran with Wynne to the left and killed everyone from that place including Omega (as usual he was not moving).
Encounter "Bloody Plains": AoS for the Emissary. The rest is easy.
Aeducan Thaig: mages were the only problem as spell resist is not enough.
Soldier's Peak
The only problematic part is closing the veil. This time managed to make saves b/t demon waves and thus died only three times because of the Desire Demon. From Shophia had to run a bit as defense and attack were still crappy.
-- lvl 12 +3 dex Stealing Cleanse Area --
Denerim
Combat and non-combat missions, after which could buy the Spellward and got level 13
-- lvl 13 + 3 dex Mental Fortress --
Considering had nothing new from armor, defense and attack were rather bad - thought would be worse, but did not die in expected encounters where usually have problems.
Used Defensive Fire almost all the time, in some places tried the Aim Mode (several times almost died because of that)
-- Compared some numbers and chances
Precise Striking made attack better so used it (do not need STA anyway).
Aim Mode increased damage (avg was 30+, became 40+) and crits (almost all the time, but not huge numbers of course).
Tried "Blood Thirst" with Aim to check crits - almost died, will try later given a chance. --
Haven
The only problem - mages. Other enemies or even usually annoying for such PT High dragon were nothing in comparison. Actually in Haven most of the time spent for mages with endless reloads.
Spell resist: 30% (the amulet) + 4 % (the ring) + 4 % (Zevran boots) = 38 %. Additional resists did not help.
As saw no difference and there were still other enemies, switched Zevran boots to the previous from the initial dalish armor (+ 3 def) and simply killed mages after hell of reloads accompanied by luck: resisted the spell or lure tactics.
High Dragon encounter was quick for a ranged GW. What was good: had enough health and health regen to survive fire spit spams + buffet. Did not use arrows. Used Aim. Avg damag: 30-45 Crits: 50-65 AoS: max 120
Had encounter "River Crossing", ambush for Interested Parties- nothing interesing.
The Hermit
Decided to try again as already had new trinkets. Was fine. Used two bombs, resisted most spells, had to run a bit for health regen (2 attempts).
Also tried again Blood Mages "Brother's Killer": two bombs + running. Resisted firebomb force all the time which is very nice: they like to spam that spell. Two attempts as well.
Tried "Mage's Treasure" several times as was nearby: all the time died only from Revenant's "Pull" and "Mass Pull" and nothing else. He just spammed them instead of waving his sword. After 10 attempts left for later.
Denerim
Turned in some quests and lot level 15*
-- lvl 15 + 3 dex Coercion 2 Holy Smite --
* Forgot when exactly got level 14 but took Champion + 3 dex War Cry
Marjolaine
If she had used Dirty Fight the third time, would have been dead. So was close to it. Could not resist enemies' WC knock downs.
The Dalish
Finished two quests in the camp (Halla and love-couple).
-- After the Dragon switched to another longbow from dragon's treasure - Falon'Din's Reach.
Stats are worse in comparison to the DLC bow + 2 damage Rapid aim
The rest (Tier, AP, crit chance) - the same.
Damage/crits - the same. Plus looks more dalish-like for a dalish GW.
A bit later put on a full dalish armor set, so looked like a true dalish. Did not help in combat though. --
Lair Revenants - easy.
Witch with two Ashes (Mage's Treasure): million reloads. Witch with her spell spam and ashes knocking me down all the time and stealing health. Rapid shot helped and had to spend almost all my bombs.
Zathrian: another million of reloads.
First tried "cleanse area" - did not work (not long ago during team-PT Alistair used his "cleanse area" - did not work)
Strategy used: - ran to some corner-like place so Sylvans could not approach - ashes should be behind hostile Sylvans so could kill them without knocking me down and stealing health - Sylvans never used "roots" for some reason (do not remember such thing ever) - used rapid shot - was standing near some hostile Sylvan (trying to hit me without success) and shooting Zathrian though he always ran to me and killed - after several attempts of such approach one was lucky as Zathrian ignored me and continued attacking werewolves - lying pos
-- lvl 16 + 3 dex Rally --
Finished "Mage's Treasure": easy

It's weird that Cleanse Area hasn't been working for you against Zathrien, it is even mentioned in the wiki.
Wonder if that is some sort of mod incompatibility or some other bug or modification to whatever effects.

As stopped working after the game reinstallation, maybe some glitch. Met similar things with other games (and with DAO as well long ago) when reinstalled them. Something did not work or minor changes. Mods were not at work in those cases.
--
DEO - Warrior-Archer - no -pot-solo- PT
Orzammar
All the time used - the dalish armor set - longbow Falon'Din's Reach - key to the city/lifegiver/spellward/andruil's blessing
Used Aim more often. Tried "Blood Thirst" several times (now have huge FF damage from that) but saw no difference, though info from the Internet made it clear crit chance should be higher.
Unofficial Provings: fine.
The Carta Hideout: fine.
Jarvia: was standing in the left corner, took some damage from melees mostly but nothing serious. Used some arrows for the hell of it.
-- lvl 17 + 3 dex Motivate --
Caged in Stone Dragon: three AoS + three Crit Shots + running aroud the table waiting for CDs. Twice got OW, the second time almost died.
Several groups of Fanatics.
-- Mostly resisted knock downs (PS from 2h warriors) and stun from SnS warriors. Do not remember when was the last time could not resist Shield Bash. --
Emenies' purpose of endless switching "Shield Wall - Shield Defense - Shield Cover - SW - SD -etc" till they died is unclear. The damage they get is still the same actually.
Orzammar
Caridin's Cross - Revenant: easy - The Ogre: started Ram-spam so ran away from him and hid behind the Revenant house. The Orgre could do nothing - deep stalkers: twice used bombs not to die from poison-stun
Left for the camp to empty the bag but first visited Denerim - turned in some quests - finished "Crows" - tried "Unbound" but was useless mostly (50/50): needed another gear
Bought "Felon's Coat"
Stopped by Flemeth to take Grimoire without any fighting. But as usual "killed - reload - left Flemeth alone"
Flemeth the Shapeshifter - switched my gear for more useful to speed up the process - Four attempts: 1) ran around close enough she could hit or eat me, but turned out still far enough so Flemeth burned me to death 2) ran close as if played melee GW but was eaten (survived the first Grab, but not the second) 3) the same as №2 4) used one lesser fire resist, stayed close, no hits/grabs/spit spams. And was fast.
Reload, left Flemeth and went to the camp. Gave presents, supplies for mages and the dalish.
Ortan Thaig
Somewhere in the beginning got level 18 -- lvl 18 + 3 dex Coercion 3 Superiority* -- * very helpful
Used Aim Mode all the tim
Asunder: was standing near him, took some damage and one mana wave. Killed.
Corrupted Spider Queen - died several times - used one lesser nature resist - at some point was faster to kill her before I died from poison what happened all the time - killed the Queen but her entourage did now show up during encounter - thus after the queen the whole area was full of spider legs, could not even count them all - OW-OW-OW, Web, Poison - etc. - million deaths - in the end had to use bombs + WC helped as well
Dead Trenches
Used Aim all the time: defense is already fine for certain enemies.
Just crowds of enemies: WC, shooting.
Broodmother - used two bombs when shrieks showed up as they stun me all the time - one lesser nature resist - the main enemy here: nature damage, so if not fast enough - usually die even with those nature protection caps
-- Got another longbow from the Forge Master - Spear-Thrower.
Worse in comparison with two others, but at least something new to try.
Those two are T7
Spear-Thrower T6 Stats: + 2.5 AP/Rapid Aim
During Dead Trenches used these three longbows. DLC - obviously better Falon'Din's Reach is very good Spear Thrower is worse, BUT if have nothing else this longbow is suitable.
As AP plays its part in damage - my thought was that +2.5. AP of the Spear-Thrower could have done something. AP was higher a bit, but in general the damage is worse.
Comparison: Falon'Din's Reach (Spear-Thrower) Avg damage 50 + (45 +) Crits 60-80 (60 -70) --
Anvil of the Void
Apparatus: last time mentioned that was the fastest of all Apparatus encounters with any GW-no-pot-solo-PTs. This time is the same: used Rapid Shot only.
Branka
First things first: my "squad" did not die and took no hits at all (a rare thing). Used Defensive Fire. Branka was a threat only when stunned me with Pommel and was yelling that crap the rest of the time. First time died as was Slammed to death (spammers). Second time managed to find a spot where used Branka as a Shield (she was trying to hit me but mostly with no success). Golems could not reach me. Killed them. Collected lyrium spots (one yelling Branka was enough). Killed her before lyrium spots popped up gain with simple hits/AoS (poor damage)/crit shot.
Finished non-combat quests in Orzammar and got level 19
-- lvl 19 + 3 str (to get Death Blow) Shattering Shot --
Got my Cadash Spompers: only after million deaths from the Orge. - former melee GWs now seem easy - was trying different ways, tactics, kiting, close, middle; "far" was not possible - was trying to find some spot/corner but could not - then was trying to glitch the Ogre somehow - did not work - anyway the result was the same: ram -spam and in addition already Smash-spam (do not know AoE of it, but huge) - in the end using Rapid Shot and simple shooting was running around some construction: took about 10 min to kill him
To the camp.

DEO-Warrior-Archer-no-pot-solo-PTRedcliffeNight Attack Usual preparations and intimidation to help. No fire. Three attempts (to get the outcome with no deaths): - Lloyd died right in the very end - some man died - used Rapid Shot + Fire Arrows (+ 2 damage) + WC + Holy Smite once or twice - in general was rather easy. Militia "Scattershot" was of great help. Got my helmet to sell it. In th Castle needed just some exp so ran there a bit till got the next level and left for the Circle. - lvl 20+ 2 str + 1 dex Death Blow -- First went to get the longbow "Far Song" (installed Mod to get it with alive Owen). A good thing - did not order "better armor" in Denerim as turned out this bow is not cheap - 110 gold (forgot to read about this part). Went to the Circle to get help with the Fade, to blackmail someone (last active quest in Orzammar) and activate already forgotten quest "Five pages, four mages". Finished those side quests: resisted spells, nice defense. With refugees: tried several levels ago but could not save anyone, including my GW. This time only GW survived, though barely. Have no idea how to save at least someone as an archer as Rapid Shot of no help, used best gear, can't use bombs. The Fade Usually Irving goes there, this time sent Jowan (with Irving angry comments). Combinations of "whatever" spells. Died once from the Rage Demon. -- Supressive Fire -- Called the LandsmeetZevran ambush: had to hide behind the crates. -- Now, important notes. Last time played Warrior Archer in this thread had PC crash, but already had an army. Just needed to get Cadash Stompers and do Redcliffe. After could have called the Landsmeet. But wrote that at least back there, watching those encounters, the build was working, everything was fine, defensive fire or not in some places; just wanted to check some encounters, like Flemeth, Unbound, final Battle. During Zevran ambush changed my mind. Actually already after getting the longbow "Far Song" not everything was fine. Write including information from the ecounters after getting the Far Song and further quest "Rescue the Queen". Using Aim is mostly not possible since take too much damage: with the Crows, in the palace trying to kill the guards for example. First started killing everyone there but it was very slow, had to switch to the Defensive Fire which was not so helpful, had poor damage. Had to use the uniform. And died many times trying to get through. The longbow "Far Song".Do not wtf, but "Falon'Din' Reach" was better there. Usual descriptions are the same: tier, damage, crit chance. "Far Song" has better stats. Only what I got during the Zevran Ambush and with the guard: "Falon'Din'Reach" was better in terms of damage. Far Song (Falon'Din'Reach) Avg damage 45-55 (55-60) Crits: the same but the difference with the Dalish bow - crits were more often, aim or not. Thus - why is the damage worse with the Far Song? - where are the benifits from its stats? Wierd. -- Rescue the QueenUsed defensive fire and checked Aim as well. Died many times. -- Another important note.Stopped playing. Started the next day. Switch to the Far Song. Defensive fire or Aim. Avg damage: 60 Got crits At least this longbow is already not worse, but the same, with rare crits. -- HoweTwo attempts. My mistake was: too late to kill the second mage as they all use lightning staff. AoS for the fist mage - the shapeshifter asshole. Killed the healer. Defensive Fire was ON. Got the queen and level 21 -- lvl 21+3 dex Survival 2 Scattershot -- CauthrienFinally killed them all in the hall. Two attempts as during the first one again was too slow to kill the mage. - enemies used Scattershot (sent Zevran away, he even did not die) - used Scattershot myself - very helpful - Cauthrien was stunned but like 0,3 sec. Hit me with her Summer Sword which knocked me back (Summer Sword's stat) - ran to the left vase and killed the mage (AoS) - put GW near that vase - was surrounded by the guards and turned out Cauthrien simply could not touch me at all - was just making angry animations - killed two ranged enemies in front not to get scattershotted - killed Cauthrien: one AoS (180), crit shots and simple damage (about 50-60) - then killed the rest Actually, if not for those guards used as a shield, Cauthrien would have killed me I think. Finished some minor quests. Tried Unbound. That's something. I know of and saw cancel animation, but have never seen it with spells - that' what the Mage form was doing since I was too fast to shoot, but it is scripted to get my ass frozen, get horror, buff himself and etc - everything at the same time. Used some resists but did not help. Could not even get to the Warrior form. Left for later. The AlienageDid not die on my way to Caladrius. Only that whole way felt like was stunned forever. Shield Pummel and almost no resist. Had to use Defensive Fire. With Caladrius died two or three times because of no spell resist or just because was too slow as he did not use spells all the time (Rapid Shot was not enough as the damage was poor). UnboundGot him finally, but used the way do not like (do not know what else to do there as an Archer). Died many times till was lucky. How could get more spell resist? The only way - Antivan boots and the Dalish Armor set (spirit resist). Warrior form was of no concern at all, with Aim or any other mode. Avg damage: 20. Max: 26. Did not use crit shot/AoS. Did not get even one crit. Mage form Can say nothing about the damage. Only once managed to use AoS (about 180) as simply had no time to shoot with that spell spam. My spell resist improved by balms did not matter. So for the Mage form used my bombs: had fire/ice/electro/spirit/acid. Was waiting for their CD trying to shoot and hoping for luck and health regen. Had several "almost win" attempts but got spam in the end. When was lucky: - just used the Dalish Armor Set + lesser cold/spirit resist - rapid shot for the Mage (even if did not hit him, but just in case) - Defensive Fire with the Warrior - bombs for a mage One funny thing though as have never seen it before but always had this encounter. During one attempt decided to use Holy Smite with the Mage to see what could happen: he stopped casting spells and started walking to me and tried to punch me. As if Holy Smite did not stun him, but he still lost his mana even if he actually could not have mana after casting million spells in a row. Loghain: one AoS and he was done. Finished the Crime Wave: Zevran in stealth. Killed Taoran (Irregulars): almost died their as Scattershot through objects stunned and under that stun Defensive Fire did not work well. Did not finish the second part of the DLC "Ostagar". See no point. Forgot when got level 22 but it twas + 3 dex anyway. -- lvl 23+3 dex 2 free point I do not need -- Time for the final battle I think.

DEO- Warrior-Archer-no-pot-solo-PT (the end)What was used:- Felon's Coat - Cadash Stompers - Honnleath Helmet - Repeater Gloves - Spellward/andruil's blessing/key to the city/lifegiver/ring of the warrior/harvest festival ring - Longbows Far Song/Falon'Din's Reach/DLC - arrows (only if remembered about them) - bombs - balms for spell resist - Dalish Armor set Sometimes switch different parts if needed or would like to check something. -- RedcliffeKilled everyone and died twice: mortality curse and ram spam from the second ogre. Inside had to run in circles from the ogre and shooting rather rare. Almost died because of his ram. Some soldiers survived so they helped. Market DistrictUltimate dream of this warrior-archer: orge city with mages poppoing out from air - two biggest threats of this chatacter. Died X times trying to lure them and waiting for AoS CD for each. In the end could run a bit at least from the rest ogres. The General 2h warrior killed me twice: was hoping too much for Defensive fire (Aim was not an option as the first attempt showed). Did not resist his War Cry btw. The AlienageEmissary killed me all the time. Finally was lucky to be faster and resisted some spells like annoying hex or mortality curse. Drakon StepsThought would have been worse. What was important there: having AoS ready to use when the second Drake comes. Othersiwe it was 100% death from OW. Mages were annoying as well, but used some bombs again + Rapid Shot. The Palace insideThere were mages starting from the Shapeshifter with shades. No spell resist at all in each mage encounter. Radid Shot + bombs. And died many times. Master AssassinMention it only for one thing: used Defensive Fire - he could not touch me at all, switched to Aim - killed me in 2 sec. ArchdemonFor an archer it is easy. The main thing is - spirit resist. That is why the Dalish Armor set was useful + greater balm. Died twice in the end because of the WB. But that is not important. Important thing is that I had to replay three times as Irving stole my kills. During last attempt was just shooting as wanted to save AoS and STA for it to finish the dragon. -- Damage/attack/defense- switched from one part to another but there was not much difference Avg damage 55-65 Crit 80 + (max 90 +) Defense: with some emenies it was fine to use just Aim (used it during the Achdemon encounter), otherwise Defensive Fire should be used AoS for fat enemies Crit shot is useful Scattershot used later many times War Cry helped a lot And bombs Main enemies: mages (no spell resist) and ogres (kiting is not helping). Think that is all what wanted to mention.

Finally started Strength-DW-rogue-no-pot-solo. Had in plans anyway.
CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT
Chose "City Elf Origin" (for whatever reason actually, does not really matter that much): DF, already have "poison" and "coercion".
Usual rules of no using initial DLC armor and trinkets hanging in my inventory. Only two tomes.
Have Dain's fix combat mode.
CC + 5 dex
Skills Coercion (given) Poison (given) CT1
Talents Dirty Fighting (given) DWT
Used two tomes +3 dex Stealing (helpful)
Origin
There is nothing strength-related since it is of no help in the beginning, but dex is. Plus anyway will need DEX for certain talents.
Level 2 got after getting the sword (+1 AP, + 6 attack) -- lvl 2 +3 dex CT2 DWF --
Level 3 got right before going to Ostagar -- lvl 3 + 1 str + 2 dex Flurry (need Momentum ASAP) --
In general - stole from everyone but Duncan - used some light armor (not enough str for now) - weapon: longsword from Duncan (+ 1 AP/+6 attack) + some dagger/shortbow - found a belt (+ 4 attack) and an amulet (+10 spirit resist) - could open all locks - once used a bow - in the end died 5 times before remembered could unlock the door. Ran to the next large room with long tables. On the way there triggered a trap that killed two assholes. The main rapist encounter: DF, backstabs, DWS, running - depended on the situation.
Ostagar
Talked to people, robbed some, opened some chests. Got Garlen's longsword but could not use it due to lack of strength.
Switched my shortbow to Daveth's longbow and went to the Korcari Wilds.
Korcari Wilds
No point to describe in details as it is all about "lure, DF, stabbing". For now it is still "dex-rogue". Put some points into strength but have more dex in any case.
After killing several enemies got level 4 -- lvl 4 +3 str CT3 Momentum (what needed most for that moment) --
After that switched to Garlen's sword and put on Chainmail armor set T1 with set bonus "-2.5 % fatigue (at least according to Wiki).
With some enemies tried frontal assault: with no health regen was not that great, but still worked.
Finished business in the camp, sold things.
After the Joining lvl 5 +3 str Stealth 1 Combat movement (next at lvl 8 Coup de Grace is needed)
Ishal Tower
General info: - could not open locks - with some enemies tried frontal assault: had successful attempts as well, but still died a lot - before the second floor put on Chainmail armot set T2, the same Thane Helmet, Garlen sword/dagger (+4 attack), CON belt + amulet - saved stun poison (several flasks), fire bombs, acid flasks: good for later
Usually the only difficult part is the first floor. This time was again lucky: lure worked fine. The emissary took very suitable for me position so I could just arrowed him to death while he was doing angry animations. The part with two doors and a bunch of enemies: stealth - great reunition in one hall - lured 1-2 from the far door using a longbow. It is the easy way. Died twice already before the second floor: again tried frontal assault with the rest enemies behind the door and it did not work very well. It worked only with 1-2 enemies (there are four of them there).
Second floor
lvl 6 Coercion 2 Dual Striking (en route pour Reposte though do not know how useful it will be with str-build)
The ogre Melee option with DF/stun poison was out of the question for known reason: scripted ram no matter what I do or where I am. Thus: the corner and arrowed him to death.
Made save after talking to Morrigan.

CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT
Mabari Encounter: fire bomb, DWS, DF, some stabs. Mabari did not even die (which usually happens).
Lothering
All quests and encounters were finished.
Leliana: - died a lot as aggro'd enemies all the time from Leliana. In the end it looked like "stab-stab-run to the next enemy forcing him to melee-ignoring him-stab next enemy and run right away-etc" - fun, I guess with all that running, especially after the previous "Warrior-Archer-solo". But at least it worked, finally
-- Bought the dagger "Thorn of the Dead Gods". --
During villagers' attack to get GW head got level 7* -- lvl 7 + 3 str Stealth 2 Duelist Spec -- * In the end will explain some points about the build.
Str + 3 and could change armor: after killing 2h bandit leader put on his T3 Chainmail heavy armor set (with supposed bonus).
Got the longsword "The Oathkeeper" with rune slot, so changed weapon layout: mainhand Longsword Oathkeeper off-hand dagger Thorn of the Dead Gods
Leliana opened locks and robbed 3/4 of the village (mostly those were health pots).
Some moments: - actually could tank a bit dealing with 3 enemies at the same time rather easy. Was important for me to notice as usually it was like 1 - 2. Does not mean with other enemies will be the same situation. Still, there was a difference - usually lure enemies with a bow. This time instead just came close to show up what was enough
About the build: - do not have clear idea about the build and build-order but know what I want to take at least (momentum/crit chance/crit) - Dirty Fighting is very helpful but will need paralyze runes as well - Stealth is also the priority but need to work on CUN which is a problem now (have 14, will get 5 from the Fade, and in the end will need 22) - not gonna put points for lock and traps: usually used Zevran for that and will do the same this time - Specs: took Duelist and think later Assassin. For Defense, attack, crit. Bard would be great but really have no STA for that - in DAA there is such character as Sigrun: was surprised the first time saw her as she was a rogue in heavy armor and str. If play DAA use Sigrun - Str-Rougue with Bard spec - as a tank. But it is "team-PT" and DAA whre encouners are very easy. --
Camp
Talking Used lightning rune (+2 damage) Sold things
What I need is health regen so will try to get Lifegiver ring. Next main stop is Orzammar (with some other short visits to Denerim, the Dalish maybe and DLC Ostagar for dodge boots). But need to finish the Circle for obvious reason ASAP.

It's nice when you can get the guards to block Cauthrien, it was the only way I could beat her in the room with no pots on some of the lower defense characters especially.
With the rogues, I often end up getting Riposte a little late since they have Dirty Fighting, which is better. And try to make up for fewer stun talents with poison. On characters without much cunning investment (and 22 total late game isn't that much), the talent isn't very reliable against a lot of enemies by the end, but still works ok against mages and some ogres.

It's nice when you can get the guards to block Cauthrien, it was the only way I could beat her in the room with no pots on some of the lower defense characters especially. So finally got lucky to have convenient position. Once. Yes, about that, Reposte. Mentioned somewhere that have read several times your Strength-rogue -PT thread and found some of your thoughts about Reposte. Riposte was taken extremely late. I didn't have a huge problem with skipping it since I tried to keep stun poisons in inventory, but it might have been a little cheaper and easier with it earlier. Like I said before, it costs effectively two points though since Dual Striking probably isn't worth using much at all. In a party game I would have replaced the first two points in Deft Hands line with DS and Riposte most likely So, was thinking long and hard whether take it or not in this case. Decided to try though still have doubts it was a good idea. Now have Stun poisons (the simple one) and have never used them due to the same reason - save for later as DF was enough. And the idea, even with doubts or no, was to have as many stun possibilities as possible since stealth is not that great now at least, defense is the same. But, as you have mentioned, the talent might not be useful. Will check soon enough.

CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT
Zevran encounter (mod Zevran ASAP): - mod is not for this level, but whatever (needed a rogue to open locks, Leliana is an enemy so can't stand her) - died several times, last attempt - had some points of health left - used several bombs to get rid of the mage + extra enemies, stun poison, DWS - triggered almost all traps there (no extra exp)
Orzammar
Imrek: spent 30 min for them as wanted to try melee at least with one of them, thus used tree-spot and a bow for two of them (mage or not) and used melee weapon against the last one. Imrek and 2h warrior: GW was killed with one swing (orfrom fantom damage). Using DF was too slow. A mage hit me through objects, but finally got him in beheaded state.
Inside did some quests (love letters for extra gold/nugs). Robbed almost everyone, upper and lower levels.
Before the Dust Town got level 8 -- lvl 8 +1 str +2 cun CT4: hope those small bonuses for attack and armor work as that was the only reason to get CT4 so early Coup de Grace: another option was Reposte, but had already 30 stun poisons --
In Orzammar had only two encounters: - Welcoming Dust Town Committee: usual spot with a bow and DWS - Thief: easy
Denerim
Went there to get easy gold (sorf of) as still needed about 25 gold for regen ring
Started Crime Wave Finished some minor tasks
Ser Landry: died 10 times and each time was the same: "him or me" situation.
Fake Weylon almost killed me - that's not good.
-- In general tried to avoid more difficult encounters (but still got axe Aodh). Finished something minor for mages/irregulars/chantry/interested parties.
But was a mistake to take in quest "Have you seen me?" (with Abomination): - stun poison worked once or twice so saved for other enemies - the only way out: DF - autobackstab (good had Goup de Grace at least) - only onу hit since DF stun was very short - running in circles waiting for DF CD - still managed to die since abomination turned into sprinter from time to time - spent a week for that asshole: would have reloaded before Denerim to wait with that quest, but did not have proper save ---- Note: - several times had the following: abomination is stunned but instead of autobackstab GW simply tried to hit the enemy. Can't understand why. A glitch? ----
Went to the Dalish as still needed gold
Played till Deygan to loot him (boot + axe). Had to use stun poison + lure.
Cultist Ambush(the leader drops good for sale armor): used Mages' Collective Representative to narrow the path to me (was just standing behind him) + poison.
Kill the Deserters: the same method.
Finally had gold for the ring Lifegiver (on the way to get it killed another group of Deserters).
Got Axameter.
-- So have three waraxes, two longswords, 2 daggers: will try to use all of them. About 30 stun poisons: the most simple. But it did not work well with Abomination from the side quest - rank was too high I guess for that poison. Armor set from Lothering bandit leader. Boots +2 CON. Two good rings + some other trinkets (CON, Resist, attack). Several bombs and elemental resists. --
Went to the Circle and made a save.

The Circle
First Floor
Lure and help from friendly to a certain point mages.
-- lvl 9 +3 str Reposte: Stealth 3 is available but have to wait Fade to get CUN --
Second Floor
Reposte turned out to be useful at least with some enemies like the first group: three mages. Died several times: "Stealth" to sneak upon those three assholes, Reposte, stun poison, backstabs. They like to use "lightning" and heal each other so if not fast enough - death. Had to run a bit to stab them while they cast spells. F*ckng blood mages.
The Third Floor
Can say one thing: at least in this case it is useful not to have Survival so "detection system" does not work and can make "saves" to have a break.
Arcane Horror: - killed the first group of corpses - save - second group - save - Stealth to sneak upon Arcane Horror: was lucky to have some crits so killed it outright + some corpses
Two Rage Demons: - might be a problem because of their fire - used waraxe Aodh with some fire resist and turned out that was enough not to die (plus health regen ring) - ran around the table in the hall - DWS - some swings - running and DWS CD
Revenant (Black Vials): - tried just to see the numbers from different weapons - 20 attempts with one outcome "death" - attack was aweful all the time - the best weapon was Aodh (off-hand - the crow dagger) - damage: 5-15 from Aodh/1-8 the rest - crits: 24-28 Aodh (often crits)/14 the rest (rare crits) - left for later
Desire Demon with templars: - finally managed to lure all templars so DD was alone - died 10 times from usual spell spam (cold, cold and cold) - last attempt was curious as DD stopped spamming everything but usual DD attacks. I was running around her trying to stab - that worked during cast animation + usual attack with usual crits (Aodh is good at crit chance) - Reposte or stun poison I had: useless
Bewitched Templar: left for "after the fade part" for more manoeuvres.
Blood mage + three templars: stealth, backstab (three attempts) for blood mage, DWSs for templars (+ running in circles). The Sloth Demon - first wanted to do it without changing forms but turned out bad: stealth did not work, stun poison/reposte - not reliable, only DF was left, but took too long as again "DF-one stab- running with constant ram spam" - did the usual way: burning man - rage demon, golem - for the rest
-- lvl 10 +3 str coercion 3 stealth 3 --
First went to the room with shades and a rage demon which is usually a problem: - stealth was very usuful to trigger the encounter without death - went away and lured enemies with a bow
Bewitched Templar: - nothing new: died million times - stealth is useful to stab the DD as it/she is the problem for this character unlike the rest, but spell spam was still in order, thus used stealth only to see how many enemies were left and used a bow - million deaths only because of constantly frozen ass
Uldred: - tried melee way and returned to the bow (two attempts)
Shah Wyrd: mages actually helped this time.
Camp
Rearranged some runes.
Next stop might be Honnleath.

On the way to Honnleath first visited Haven.
Killed everyone starting from the chapel.
In the temple itself cleared out the first "floor".
-- Put on Armor of Diligence (0.5 health regen/ + 2 armor).
-- Before rooms with three mages hiding behind closed doors got level 11
-- lvl 11 + 2 str + 1 cun: done with CUN as it is enough to take stealth 4 later DWE: since have Dain's fix mod there is crit chance + working lacerate --
First wanted to clear out the first floor to see how it would go, after go to Honnleath. Changed my mind as further encounters went just fine and finished Haven plot quest afterall.
Notes: - stealth is very good to stab annoying mages, plus my spell resist is aweful anyway - Reposte worked throughout the whole Haven: do not regret taking it - DoT from DWE several times saved my life: the last one was Drake using OW against me and who died during it; if not for "lacerate" would have died myself - mages were killed using Stealth + Reposte if needed - what was interested in: tanking. It was nice to fight three enemies at once without any kiting and poisons (just armor and weapon) - poison I had (the most simple stun poison) was useless for some reason (still had about 30 flasks) - died only several times thanks to stealth which saved life (rank 3). Did not work only with Kolgrim (and the High Dragon) - often crits, good attack; about damage - later - in general: very fast plot quest; thought would have been more difficult
Used: - armor of diligence - gloves of diligence - boots for CON - Thane helmet - waraxe Aodh/beastmaster dagger (main hand/off-hand) - had some simple runes (electro/cold/fire) - put them into these weapons - trinkets were the same: lifegiver/key to the city/+ 2 CON amulet/some belt (+ 3 def or something)
Reached the High Dragon
First went to the camp to empty the bag and put two paralyze runes into Aodh (novice and journeyman - found in the temple/circle). For beastmaster dagger used +2 cold/+2 electro runes.
Used three lesser warmth balms. Paralyze runes were of no help there. Thus it was usual tedious encounter with the High Dragon and several attempts: fire spit spam or did not notice simple kick. Health regen ring and armor at least helped. --
Need gold: trinkets/weapon/paralyze runes/armor, but still poor after the Haven quest.
Maybe next destination will be Honnleath.

CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT
Forgot to mention last time: after the High Dragon had level 12 but did nothing with it. There was only one simple encounter so did not matter anyway.
Camp
-- lvl 12 +3 str coercion 4 stealth 4 --
Rearranged runes and weapon. Main hand: Aodh + 2 journeyman paralyze runes Off-hand: crow dagger with two rune slots + 3 cold/ + 2 electro /+ 15 % crit/backstab
-- Further Paralyze runes worked half of the time. --
Encounter Dark Forest (with spiders): died twice from queen poison.
The Dalish
Finished some minor quests in their camp (others helped).
The Hermit - was not sure about that, but still worked out after 10 attempts and abusing stealth - did not use balms, just put on the Dalish Helmet (+ 25 spirit resist) which did not help - any spell resist was crap - managed to win when finally had a moment when the Hermit did not spam "hex + cold" and did not refuse to be stunned (stun poison worked in that case)
Mage's Treasure (near the Hermit): - tried out of curiosity: ended up using stealth (worked with that Revenant) and a bow to lure entourage - Revenant was fine more or less: with this Revenant had to run a bit; think with better armor/weapon/runes running would not be necessary
There were other enemies in the forest: usual fauna, darkspawn, sylvans.
For the next level needed just some exp, so went to Deneim.
Turned in some simple quests, finished Crime Wave, but did not do the rest in Denerim and its outskirts (for later).
-- lvl 13 +3 str Below the belt - wasted, en route pour Lethality for crit chance --
Went back to the camp to get "Spellward" (now out of gold again).
-- Good question "what to buy first". I need certain weapons to try. Some can get in quests like Duncan's weapons/Starfang/Bloodline/Biteback axe/axe of the grey; others have to buy like Veshialle/Rose's Thorn. Paralyze runes I really want as they are of great help - not stealth fan anyway. Armor - the same thing.
But for now health regen trinkets help: has Lifegiver ring, now Spellward amulet. Need some middle ground b/w survivability and damage.
What I have now from weapon/armor/trinkets - they work fine. Might be better like with the Revenant (Mage's Treasure), but still ended well enough.
Decisions. --
Careless Accusations (Mages' Collective): stealth, DWS, running. The mage was dead after Reposte, that's the important part.
Encounter Twisted Path (thugs which you can skip): nothing interesting.
Encounter Bloody Plains: stealth - dead mage - the rest was easy.
Killed Bounty Hunters near Orzammar without using trees for once. Instead trees used stealth.
The Dalish
Killed the bandits (former Hermit's home).
Brother's Killer (Mages' Collective): was surprised took only one attempt. Used stealth to lured two of them, they used "weakness" as the first spell instead their usual choices but was good for me - stealth to sneak upon the rest two - the same thing "no serious spells".
Entered the Ruins: killed the dragon and left.
Mage's Treasure: - killed the rest in the forest - took several attemts with each - got rid of their entourage first - stealth - after was interested in attack/damage/armor rating/crits - attack was bad and not only mine - damage was not that different from the rest - paralyze runes helped from time to time - hit/backstab/hit- stealth for some health regen - backstab/hit - etc.
Soldier's Peak
Abomination with healers and rage demons: stealth was good, though almost died from fire.
Closing the Veil (Sophia): - with no Survival could make saves to take a break - shades used "horror": do not remember when was the last time they used it - desire demon: three attempts as GW started to resist her spells for some reason (did not use anything new)
Level 14 -- lvl 14 + 3 str Survival 1 Deadly Strike - wasted Assassin spec --
Put on WCP full set armor. And run a bit faster in stealth thanks to blood passive.
Got the longsword Starfang and used it instead of Aodh (2 paralyze runes/electro rune) --
Leliana's past: - the ambush part tried several times in the past, but too difficult because of the witch - finally enemies decided to run a bit: the leader ran right down to me with the witch behind; was lucky to swing the sword fast enough - Marjolaine part was not difficult with stealth; still almost died
-- Found there Executioner's Helm (+ 25 sta); used as tired of looking at Thane's Helmet and lazy to go to Honnleath (later). --
Wynne's ambush: - could not save Wynne - nothing special but one thing: Omega has always stayed in one place unlike this time. Almost killed me - stealth - stabbing - DF - some nice for this build crits
-- Next is Honnleath or the Dalish

Honnleath
Died in the courtyard when decided to try how tanky the character was. Was surrounded by melees - the end. With Kitty encounter died about 10 times waiting for my 34 % spell resist get to work. Othrwise always had frozen ass. Used 1 acid flask /freeze bomb + DWS for rage demons. For Kitty (when resisted spells) - usual attack.
Encounter River Crossing: stealth and a tree. Had several levels ago but always died from sunders.
The Dalish
Finished Wynne's quest with her former student. Killed a bunch of darkspawn near the ruins. During spiders encounter (lower ruins) got the next level.
-- lvl 15 + 3 str Lethality --
Shade-witch with Shades: caught WG but after resisted all her spells with the same 34 % spell resist without anything else (crushing prison/lightning/smth). Used stealth to lure: one shade + witch/shade. No knockdowns from Shades as usually can't resist it exactly during that encounter. Was lucky to have one attempt.
Revenant № 1(Black Vials): - several attempts without stealth; close wins but noticed did not have autobackstabs when paralyze runes worked - used tactics: hit/miss - stealth for some health regen - hit/miss - stealth - etc - did not have stabs at all: might be SnB passives at work, but "stun/paralyze = autobackstab" should be anyway; so idk what that was
Revenant № 2 (Black Vials): - the same tactics: hit/miss- stealth - etc - took many attempts - backstabs/autobackstabs did not work, paralyze runes (had two good runes in main hand weapon) did not work - thus turned on Dual Striking Mode - paralyze runes started working - that was good but useless - damage was fine as well as crits (max 70), attack - rather bad - used simple demonic poison just for the hell of it (had 10 flasks) - tried different main-hand weapons - starfang/axameter/aodh (different runes) - did not notice any diffrence, so used starfang in the end
Zathrian - one easy attempt and that was a surprise considering the fact that always had problems there as no-pot-solo - one downside - cheat: Zathrian used spells (hex + cold) when I was in stealth - resisted Zathrian spells the rest of the time with the same 34 % spell resist - since was running back and forth, Zathrian did the same and paid for that standing in the middle of his own Blizzard - stealth - Reposte (stun) - stab - hit - stealth (Zathrian cheated) - Reposte (stun) - hit - the end - damage was good, Reposte worked almost all the time during this plot quest
Denerim*
Turned in some quests and finished the rest. Started Crow tasks.
* It was good not to hide somewhere in the corner luring enemies and using a bow since the character is squishy. Used stealth to run around, backstabbing and tanking from time to time. Crow task in the whorehouse is always a problem but it was the same: quickly/stealthy/tanky.
Encounter "Desperate Haven" (to save refugees): ran to the mage who almost killed me as resisted Reposte, stun poison, DF (0,1 sec). Used Mortality curse before death. Thus used stealth for health regen but everyone was dead.
-- Looking all the time at jedi-colored longsword is tiresome for eye. Even if the weapon actually behaves itself. But out of gold to buy anything at all (have about 75 gold). --
Return to Ostagar
-- lvl 16 + 2 str + 1 dex: the reason is to take "evade"/"DWM" later in the game Survival 2 Mark of Death --
Died once from Crushing prison and five times from spiders OW. In the very end used stealth and stabbed the mage.
From loot kept - Maric's longsword - Duncan's longsword/dagger - Cailan's dodge boots/backstab gauntlets
Now have gold to by one expensive item: weapon (axe or dagger)/armor for testing/belt andruil's blessing. Also had differet runes, including spell resist. So took with me different weapons for the main hand (waeaxe/longsword) with those runes. Just in case.
Orzammar
Used
- Starfang (2 palalyze runes/electro rune) + crow dagger (cold/fire). - WCP + Cailan's gauntlets + WCP boots (+ 50 sta) - Spellward/lifegiver/key to the city/some belt with melee crit
Auducan Thaig - was fast, though died once as forgot about the deepstalker leader who OW'd me. Plus constant annoying poison stun. Next time just used Reposte + DF - stealth - stab mages - during stabbing took hits though armor rating was good - mage is dead and the rest was easy to tank - with two mages spot resisted crushing prison (still the same 34 % spell resist)
Bought the dagger Rose's Thorn, used instead of the crow dagger but without any enchantments (a bit later went to the camp).
Killed thugs with the tome: no running away and luring - that was good. Unofficial Provings: stealth when a mage was present. The rest was easy.
Official Provings: waste of time.
Before going to the Dust Town killed everything and everyone in Orzammar (was easy obviously): - different thugs and fanatics - crow task - Revenant: used stealth three times - Caged in Stone dragon: running around the table + DWS - only brother Burkel kept his life since never bother helping him anyway
Somewhere in the Palace got the next level -- lvl 17 + 2 str + 1 dex Dueling - using it --
Went to the camp to rearrange runes:
Starfang: - master + expert paralyze runes - grandmaster lightning rune (+ 5 electricity dmg)
Rose's Thorn: - grandmaster frost rune (+ 5 frost dmg) - grandmaster flame rune (+ 5 fire dmg) - master hale rune (+ 20 PhR)
Left other weapons and runes in the camp for the time being: have all types of runes (mod for chest in the camp).
Went to Denerim to finish the Crow Task and put on "Red Jenny Seekers": stats are almost the same (mind + 1 armor), armor rating is worse, well, why not. Also met a Revenant: some stealth again.
Orzammar
The Carta - on the way to Jarvia died twice from Crit Strike from the same 2h warrior - Jarvia: took several attempts. Abused stealth + stun poison which did not help that much. Actually exactly stealth helped only when did not have some DoT from Jarvia.
Time for the Deep Roads.

Damage/attack/crits/chances/armor/attr/etc - in the end.
The Deep Roads
Did not change armor/weapon/trinkets. At some point will have to come back to empty the bag so might have gold to buy something.
*What I would like to have for testing: - Evon the Great's mail - Wade's better armor with sta: backstab armor is very good, but it never hurts to try something else to figure out "what's it like" - Felon's coat: not for tanking without dex- investement, but would like to know - waraxe Vershialle - other things will get during PT
* Doubt will have gold for everything anyway. --
Caridin's Cross
After killing ram-spamming orgre (killed him kiting around his hiding hole - took several attempts) got level 18
-- lvl 18 + 2 str + 1 dex Survival 3: did not want that skill at all because of the detection system which is good for its nature/Ph resist, but can be really bad as can't disangage encounters and take a break Exploit Weakness: assassin line --
Mages: stealth - stabs. Revenant: fast, no stealth, almost died. Killed everyone, used stealth only for mages + the previous orge. So tanking was good at least there.
Ortan Thaig
Felt a bit like a warrior already - that was good. Annoying spiders with OW and Web took place but did not die from that.
Asunder: - one easy attempt without any running - resisted crushing prison, once caught WG (the same 34 % spell resist) - stayed close so took hits and used stealth once - nice damage/attack - paralyze runes worked and that helped a lot: killed Asunder fast enough
Corrupted Spider Queen: - another surprise: one easy attempt - did not use any nature resist - damage was high enough and the queen called for her entourage quickly - mostly resistd the Web - was OW'd several times but survived with high health bar after that - often crits, often autobackstabs
As with the previous Thaig killed everything that moved. -- Took a break: - went to the Circle to blackmail Godwin - killed the last black Vials Revenant: fast and easy - bought the belt Andruil's blessing - activated quest "five pages, four mages": stealth - stab a mage --
Dead Trenches
Killed everyone. Several times used stealth (mages).
To summon the Gangue Shade put on the Legion of the Dead armor set and left it on since wanted to check it anyway: armor rating was better, defense/attack/damage - not worse: 40-60-70-100 depending on the enemy and crits.
Broodmother: used several bombs in the end as started to loose health very fast even with good nature resist.
During Broodmother encounter got level 19 -- lvl 19 + 2 str + 1 dex Lacerate: assassin line --
Anvil of the Void
- died twice in two golem rooms as was trying not to use a bow; with umminities to backstabs only paralyze runes helped not to take hits + legion of the dead armor rating actually was noticeable - apparatus: switched to the diligence armor plate for some health regen, used demonic poison. Usually use spirit resist, but not this time. Almost died during the last part of each "face" using spirit damage and due to 2h spirits using "aura of pain" all the time. But it worked out well enough.
Branka
First attempt was very successful: - did not use stealth at all - killed hostile golems fast as paralyze runes were helping all the time - Branka got stun poison all the time + DF - legion of the dead armor is always good, for tanking included it seems - downside: my "team" died as Branka rushed to it and could not even stop her
After that reloaded to see if could save my "team": - several attempts with the same scenario: team is dead thanks to Branka; golems OW'd me + Branka joined fast enough = dead - had to use stealth for very short periods to backstab something and save the team - that's how could win, but the team was still dead
Cadash Thaig: stealth + kiting ram-spamming ogre.
-- Attributes str 63 dex 49 will 32 mag 20 cun 28 con 31
MR 25 PhR 87
Atack is rather good, after taking "Dueling" (at last) became better Damage 40 - 60 Crits: 70-100 + /often Armor: legion of the dead armor was better for tanking in comparison with the the rest I have. Mosty lost health because of some poison or constant stun while was taking hits and could not respond
Changing "collected backstabbing armor set" to the Legion of the Dead armor set changed damage and crits only a bit which is a good thing. --
Done with Orzammar, the army is almost ready so can go to Redcliffe.

Revenant № 1(Black Vials): - several attempts without stealth; close wins but noticed did not have autobackstabs when paralyze runes worked I think that either comes from Shield Mastery or they are just coded to have backstab immunity. I don't remember specifically. Yeah I don't like fighting golems with DW rogue. Practically the only talent that might help a little is Punisher for chance to knockdown. Otherwise slow from Cripple sometimes.

I think that either comes from Shield Mastery or they are just coded to have backstab immunity. I don't remember specifically. From what I could find in WIKI "Immune to flanking (due to Shield Tactics) but not immune to backstabs caused by paralyze effect + Coup de Grace". If this information is true, it was some bug not to have stabs at all when paralyze runes worked. Yeah I don't like fighting golems with DW rogue. Practically the only talent that might help a little is Punisher for chance to knockdown. Otherwise slow from Cripple sometimes. It works, though difficult enough with the second room when two higher rank golems slam you all the time.

CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT
Forgot to write some more information in the previous post: armor 37 defense 94 attack 126
Numbers are in the Legion of the Dead Armor + Honnleath Helmeth + Dueling ON --
Flemeth the Shapeshifter: - changed to health regen + fire resist parts - used warmth balm - five attempts as always died because of the fire spit spam - paralyze runes worked - nothing special and unusual if talk about the build
Reloaded, took the grimoire without "killing" Flemeth.
-- Bought Evon the Great's Mail (no Felon's Coat for me to try - so poor). --
Unbound - took five attempts only - 34 % spell resist from trinkets + greater spirit balm + lesser cold resist - as for armor: put on Evon the Great's Mail, Cadash Stompers, Red Jenny seekers - used demonic poison - resised spells mostly, if died - from cold and nothing else - the most important part: swift salve ftw (used two I think during the last attempt)
Redcliffe
Usual preperations without fire. Everyone protected the village.
Used some armor and some weapon: switched them to try, for example, longsword with undead runes, though did not matter anyway. Took seven attempts to save everyone: used swift salve, got the helmet.
During the Night Attack got level 20 -- lvl 20 + 2 str + 1 dex Survival 4 Evasion --
Went through the castle easy to enter the Fade. Irving was the only option since Jowan was dead. Nothing special.
Eamon woke up -- Trap-making --
Before Landsmeet had some things to do like encounters (the chantry, random, Alistair's quest): easy everywhere.
After had level 21 * -- lvl 21 + 2 str + 1 dex DWM: for less sta cost -- * IMO the build is finished and the only thing I need - strength. Taking the rest talents, like DWM or Evasion, is not that important, took them "just because".
Landsmeet
Had some minor encounters.
Zevran: used stealth to stab them one by one. But in comparison with other solo PTs - was very easy (because of stealth and build).
Crime Wave: - finished stealing - line (killed) - set-up "stealth" mission: took the lazy way to do that - used Zevran to get to the place I needed, switched to my GW and left the place. Was good Survival did not work.
Rescue the Queen - used Evon the Great's mail/Cadash Stompers/Red Jenny Seekers/Honnleath Helmet/the same weapon, trinkent and runes - no duisguise so killed everyone on the way: easy
Howe: - he was a threat only behind my back which happened while I was trying to kill shapeshifter mage - otherwise: no stealth was needed - fast and easy
Cauthrien
Fighting in the hall: - positioned myself near the vase, stabbed the mage - melee enemies served as a shield and Cauthrien could not touch me (plus some ranged enemies were active) - and I could not touch her as well; the only way - DWS, but that killed my "shield" quickly - using DF against Cauthrien was usless (as well as stun poisons) as duration was very short - tried several times standing in one place, running around: in the end "swing or sunder" and the end
Usual tedious strategy: - lure Cauthrien far from her helpers and run in circles waiting for CDs and health regen - DWS was good but DF animation took too long so even before using DWS she hit me: could not handle "sunder" with 100 + damage or Crit Strike
Paralyze runes + stun poison: - noticed during several attempts that was lucky paralyze runes worked rather often + stun poison so could hit Cauthrien without any running - one attempt was very good: Cauthrien lost 3/4 of her health but after used Crit Strike - so used that strategy to kill Cauthrien but took several attempts as simply have to wait for that "paralyze luck" - used swift salve + demonic poison + some running after her "sunder 100 +" - took about 10 attempts but at least it was not that tedious - stupid bitch was dead in the end
The Alienage
Will skip right to Caladrius: - two attempts - not to waste time used swift salve + stun poison + stealth to sneak upon Caladrius and stab him to death - the problem was in stun from enemies around and Caladrius himself half-resisting stun; my stun gave him time to freeze my ass - the second attempt was all the same but paralyze runes worked while I was stunned - saved me from reloading
Loghain
Just waved pointy weapons several times.
-- lvl 22 + 3 str Trap-making 2 Cripple Punisher --
Finished other business: - killed Taoran (Irregulars): had to use stealth to get rid of several enemies as almost died; Toaran himself was easy - Crime Wave: had time to kill everyone instead of the usual way to use Zevran and go away; considering exp I got - waste of time and still easy; used Punisher and Cripple at least.
The Journal says there is a Final Battle.

CEO-Str-DW-Rogue-no-pot-solo-PT (final part)What had/used and switched from time to time (but mostly already lazy to do that by the end of the game): - legion of the dead armor set/Wade's final better armor for STA/Evon the Great's mail/WCP/Cadash stompers/red jenny seekers/Honnleath helmet - spellward/andruil's blessing/lifegiver/key to the city - vershialle/bloodline/axe of the grey/aodhe/starfang, duncan's, maric's longswords/dagger Rose's Thorn - rearranged runes as well - poison fetish - bombs - balms -- Started Redcliffe using:- Evon the Great's mail + parts of Wade's armor set for set bonus - Honnleath helmet - waraxe Vershialle (since bought it in the very end might as well use it but prefer longsword anyway)/dagger Rose's Thorn - best paralyze runes in the main hand weapon for help RedcliffeAlmost died several times: crushing prison/orges, stealth helped. Inside the remaining soldiers helped with the Ogre. -- Had some gold so bought a tome: Upset Balance: to get the next passive Keen Defense: got it in Denerim before going after Generals -- Anyway, my preference in weapon choice for DW GW (warrior or rogue) is not the best for combat. Usually run around with two longswords as really hate waraxes and daggers for DWers. So the rest of the game did the same: used starfang + duncan's longsword. Not the best runes. Damage and attack speed were worse but still fine. Used vershialle + rose's thorn in expected difficult situaltions like Drakon steps for example. -- Market DistrictDF + Reposte for ogres. Stealth for mages. The General killed me twice - stun was useless and did not want to use stealth. So switched to axe/dagger + demonic poison + swift salve. Plus he missed almost all the time. Killed me using sunders with MB. The AlienageThis General killed me twice as well when was unlucky to catch Mortality curse. Resisted other spells. Used axe/dagger again + stealth to lure the General as he resisted stuns all the time + ogres + horde of enemies around. -- Switched to longswords. -- Palace District was fine. Drakon Steps- switched to axe/dagger - first attempt: died as forgot I was not a warrior with Holy Smite. As a result took too much damage and the drake killed me - second attempt: drake OW'd me as soon as got close and when my health bar was still full - third attempt: stealth - ran to the right (Holy Smite group for a warrior) - stabbed one of them + acid flask for rest two - killed the drake (used warmth balm though was no need) - after just used stealth and ran among the rest enemies stabbing them one by one Palace insideThink I died there million times, for some reason: - coward mage in the beginning: used nature resist which helped, but his hex after hex after his running away another hex - do not remember this pattern with constant run-aways so I even could not hit him properly (spent about 15 min for him) - master assassin: always the situation "who'll be the first to make a final blow". Had to switch to axe/dagger + swift salve + useless for him stun poison - mage with two ogres: have always thought of that mage as more or less harmless. But died from crushing prison which was a surprise. After stabbed him from stealth - this GW can detect only very simple traps so twice died as stumbled upon more difficult traps (master assassin place) during the fight: master assassin killed and later an ogre ArchdemonSwitched back to logswords. Used two greater spirit balms. After two other High Dragons with fire spits, Archdemon was just way too easy: - kicked me several times but no great damage - the same pattern three times with usual stabbing - after used ballista - again stabbing and watching others (Irving or Kardol) would not steal my kill Conslusion1) One of the best and not boring PTs for me 2) Strength - DW- rogue is very good and reminds me of a warrior (favorite class anyway) 3) Though sometimes felt as if I cheated: tanking as a warrior but at the same time using stealth. OP 4) Knowing what damage a rogue can do, str-rogue damage was still fine, enemies died quickly 5) Glad took Reposte early in the game as it helped a lot, throughout the whole PT actually 6) Probably Bard as one of specs could have been used: only there is a problem with STA because of Momentum + Reposte 7) Always nice to have face-to-face encounter: one of benifits here 8) Though still used stealth for mages as did not bother to do anything with my spell resist: 34 % from trinkets + some balms = that worked as well 9) Highest damage was 110 + from crit. The usual: 40-80. 10) Legion of the Dead armor set was the best for tanking, but it lacks stats. Ogre Grabs did not do much damage with it 11) With the rest those grabs killed me 12) Had "stabbing armor set" but did not use it in the end: WCP + Cadash Stompers + red jenny seekers (crits were higher with it) 13) Used Evon the Great's Mail + Wade's arms/legs for set bonus. Armor rating was still fine and stats were helpful 14) Using Stealth made enemies act stupid very often, which was fine with me as that behavior was helpful 15) Was trying not to abuse Stealth when it was possible and tank instead: sometimes it worked, with mages Stealth was a better choice These numbers (armor rating/defense/attack) are not the best since in the end used worse weapons and armor, but not so different.
