Created for now two GWs for "no-pot-PT": DW Warrior CEO and SnS NO(dex oriented). Since Sarah Kerrigan of NO was the last created GW decided to proceed with her. Messed up with the buid already in the Origin (guess Kerrigan's fate is the same even here - fucked up in both games)so had more difficult time in Ostagar. Very good that I already have a dog, otherwise wouldn't be able to pass that encounter, that's for sure with present build. Now in Lothering, where things are easier and can already start correcting the build. ------ And most important: installed one "bug fixes" mod - "Dain's Fixes"; left all bug fixes + 1 QOL "Mute SFX" + 1 Tweak "Queen Spider Poison" as the description says it should be in the game but removed as "too difficult" (so as if bug fix, though if really too difficult - will remove). *** capn233 , you have bug fixes, so would like to ask. How did you understand that those bug fixes mods work in your game? There are many bug fixes but I can't check them. Maybe the mod does not work at alland should be reinstalled e.g.? (had such cases with mods already). E.g. in the Tower got lvl 6 and Shield Wall - did not notice the difference in damage with SW on with and w/o "bug fixes mod" (where was that 20 % damage penalty?). Maybe it was early for that to see or maybe this mod really does nor work now. Did not understand.
Added: have just fought Bandits on the Road in Lothering and noticed the difference in damage with and w/o SW using ablities and simple hits. Good.
But the question remains as there are other bug fixes which are difficult to check if they are working (or not possible to check at all).

Just have to see what is happening with whatever ability that claims to be fixed to see if the fix works. Shield Wall damage penalty is not applied in the game, and with the fix you can see the damage will go down once it is turned on. Some of the abilities are used by enemies, so you can see that some debuff or another is applied to you. The fix for when multiple weapon speed buffs are stacked is probably not really seen so much in solo, but should be easy to see in a team game with Haste + Momentum. - I am trying to find the link for the armor appearance mod I use on the nexus.
edit: should be this one, which updates material tints and has the change for Wade style armor.

Decided to continue no-pot pt of SnS dex oriented warrior. Have just finished Lothering. Will write what/how/where later not in such details hoping it is interesting and useful to anybody at least. Just have to see what is happening with whatever ability that claims to be fixed to see if the fix works. Shield Wall damage penalty is not applied in the game, and with the fix you can see the damage will go down once it is turned on. The fix for when multiple weapon speed buffs are stacked is probably not really seen so much in solo, but should be easy to see in a team game with Haste + Momentum. Yes, have already noticed something; was checking SW damage all the time in Lothering (good CD is fast to switch). I am trying to find the link for the armor appearance mod I use on the nexus.
edit: should be this one, which updates material tints and has the change for Wade style armor. Appreciated. *** BTW, capn233, wanted to ask as today another glitch has happened. Not so long ago (with your Dex SnS/my 2h - warrior PTs) you pointed out a good spot near the chantry in Lothering where melees can't get you and you can use a bow to eliminate them. According to today's glitch I now do not understand which spot you have mentioned. I fought from a spot near the chantry right near the building itself and a wall, behind the carts. Is that it?As today, while using a bow from that spot ended up (glitch) on the other side of the wall (near the river), from where at least could get out. Couldn't arrow enemies from that place (though they could somehow), so used melee attack again with lure.

I must admit, I think I typed Chantry when I meant Tavern. Your spot might be better than the one I was talking about since it is a little closer.

Interesting. Think have just found that hiding spot near the tavern with my SShifter GW. ------ Alright, about SnS PT. Will write general information, no need for details I think. Sarah Kerrigan - SnS dex oriented warrior.capn233 has just finished his dex SnS warrior DN origin so will be helpful as there are useful tips and info.
Hope he won't refuse to answer questions as usual...
As for rules - the same as with 2h Warrior: no DLC items, companios should not do damage, rogues can open chests etc.
With Kerrigan SnS warrior the idea is the following (has been floating in my head for a long time already anyway, so why not now?): - won't go too far into dex; - first get 50/50 strength/dex, after just watch what is needed more: e.g. if everything is fine - proceed with 50/50, if defence/dodge is fine, put more into strength and vice versa; - damage will be lower anyway as at least half of points will go to dex (a sad part of the build, but it is what it is, not like with "full-strength SnS").
Viable build or no, how interesting it can be - do not know as "experiments".
Progress for now
Origin (NO), Ostagar, Lothering are finished. Now in the camp - talking.
In Origin and Ostagar used the initial leather armor + stolen belt. Forgot about the helmet, remembered about it only before the Ogre (still did not use it in Lothering). Used lure + Shield Defense (Shield Wall tried in Lothering to check if bug fixes mod was working).
Considering long SnS abilities animation went through Origin, Ostagar and Lothering rather easy and quickly. There were reloads here and there, but not many.
What forgot about - put point into "poison", thus no bombs or poison for me, even now in the camp.
Before Lothering put more points into strength to make life easier in the beginning and some into dex (need to start from somewhere). Thus have just finished Lothering with:
Str 30 Dex 22
Talents: Shield Bash (given) Shield Defense Shield Balance Shield Pommel Powerful Shield Block Shield Wall Overpower
Level 7, Templar
Righteous Strike

No-pot-solo dex SnS PT
Wrote about "screwed up the build" thing and now pay a high price for it.
Spent these days only to get level 8 as could not win any encounter after Lothering but two: - in Denerim with Ser Landry: in all my 60 PTs that was the first time I had to reload more than 10 times to kill him. Pathetic. - Mage Collective "Have you seen me?": 10 reloads, 11th - killed abomination with 2 health points left, forgot it should explode, another 10 reloads. Never had a probleme with it. Pathetic again.
*** Anyway, miscalculation was- forgot to put a point into "poison" to use bombs/poisons. Bombs - what I need most now to deal with several enemies at this level and stage of the game. Only I could not get that skill at level 8, hope is only for getting higher attributes. ***
Had not enough strength to use KCP, bought anyway, at lvl 8 still can't use it. Used (and still use) Armor Set from Lothering Leader gang, Gorim's Shield (health regen) + long swords, one with a rune slot (put electro rune from somewhere) + very simple trinkets. Changing parts of armor/trinkets did not help at all: like using "elven boots" from Lothering (+1 con)/Thane Helm from KW, stolen belt in Ostagar etc.
So, spent these days watching million of reload screens to avoid encounters and get Gentle Path + got Star Metal already.
Got level 8 at least by doing/not doing: - skipped Orzammar: could have avoided the fight, but wanted to try to kick those asses with such build (need as many encounters as I can get to check the build); - went to Denerim to do some small quests (w/o running around the city itself), get codices, open locks; - the same thing with other places: just locks and codecies; - had only 3 fights: Ser Landry in Denerim, Abomination for Mages, Cantry Board Quest "Loghain's Push".
Finally got level 8 - Bravery. ------
Can't call it "progress", but it is what it is. Everything started very nice - Origin, Ostagar, Lothering - now I think just messed up in the beginning with "no-poison-point". Hope later will be better if even manage to go further with all this. Even with "2h-no-pot-solo-DC" did not have to struggle so much in the beginning. Hhmm. Maybe could be useful for others in a way "think things through", at least several steps ahead (what I have not done with this dex SnS GW). ------
Got level 8 only in Denerim, running around (no other way): got ambush, got lvl 8, barely passed the rest of the ambush using clever tactics with a bow.
For now: tbh do not know what to do next. Maybe will try to run around Denerim, will try Imrek again to get to Orzammar before going to the Circle.

Doing Sgt Kylon's stuff, and Back Alley Justice is probably doable. At least with some cheese or using persuade.
Other than that, would have to try Honnleath, which requires some traveling. The shades / Ash Wraith would be hard. Kitty fight would ideally need a few Acid Flasks (kill Rage's outright), and at least an ice resist. The 40% spell resist would be very helpful though.
Don't think Uldred is doable around here for melee warrior without decent armor rating and health regen. Even if every point was dex, I don't think there is enough defense bonus otherwise to make it work. And you would need good ice and probably fire resist even if you can avoid all Massive Attacks.
If you don't care about saving the militia, you could try Redcliffe and do Attack at Nightfall for some XP and loot.
It may be possible to do a bit of Return to Ostagar, which will give some XP and loot. Tedious probably.
Human Noble has good XP, but has little money unfortunately.

Kitty fight would ideally need a few Acid Flasks (kill Rage's outright), and at least an ice resist. The 40% spell resist would be very helpful though. Yeah, first wanted to go to Honnleath, but remembered "2h-no-pot-solo DC": was very difficult outside (had to use many bombs actually)and with Shades, though inside got a new lvl and was able to put on KCP + had 1-2 nice trinkets already. My Dex SnS has nothing: no armor/bombs/poison/strength. Thanks for tips what can do in such situations. Followed your advice. Helped. *** Progress "no-pot-solo-dex SnS Kerrigan NHO"*** Note: for now pointless to talk about "dex SnS build" as those several dex points are not helping, only harm as have lower strength and can't put on warrior armor I need. Forgot about it all when distributed points. After getting strength I need (even with trinkets, whatever), should be different. *** Alright, on the run PTNeeded level 8 and gold before doing something huge, like circle. What was able to do (with reloads and clever tactics) and also considering only 1 point in "Coercion". Tbh it looks as if I was just completely drunk distributing ALL points in the beginning of the game as forgot about all further quest requirements. For now see it as "accepted challenge". - Indeed did Sgt Kylon quests with clever fighting (so much so dex SnS build). - Chantry Board quest "Back Alley Justice" also with clevr fighting mostly, but was able to use SnS - progress. - Decided to try Imrek again to get to Orzammar. Usual arrow spot/some other methods dealing with a spamming mage were useless. Finally was able to arrow them, maybe because approached them all already half-naked with a bow (ready for battle). Found another spot from which used arrows, but using melee weapon to fight one enemy at a time was also possible. And without that annoying mage shooting at you. Made an image of that spot just in case would be interesting for anyone. Though tried to use that spot with "bounty hunters" - did not work Turned out they are not dumb. So left them for later. OrzammarDid some "no-fighting" quests. Stole from many people. Returned love letters and got 15 gold for that. Did "The Chant in the Deeps" quest and helped brother Burkel to arrange his funeral (usually ignore him, but wiki says about 100 xp, so whatever). Encounters: - "slum-thug ambush": arrows as no other way; - "tunnel-thieves": lured them and finally used SnS w/o any arrows - good, but missed PS as there were two 2h among them who PSed me all the time and no resist from my GW; - revenant for laughs; - "stolen tome" thugs: arrows mostly standing behind the table. On X attempt they just stopped running to me all at once, so arrows for some of them while they were standing and making angry faces. - Klled Desrters near Orzammar Got "key to the city" at least, but could not buy "lifegiver" ring or "spellward" amulet - had only ab 52 gold. DenerimTurned in two quests Started RtoOstagarPlayed until the long bridge with the king body. Left for Ozammar hoping to sell loot and buy a trinket. Only still not enough gold. Noble Human who can be king/queen, is poor as a church mouse. Level 8 - got in "Retirn to Ostagar" Strenth Poison KCP (finally) Changed for now Gorim's Shield for stolen from Vartag Champion Shield. +++ Actually things now go better. Think it is DEX time experiments. Now in Orzammar. Think will try Honnleath.

What was the spot? I can't see an image. Meant "found a spot and will be able to post an image in case someone is interested". Here it is. New for me at least. Mage was running back and forth "my GW - the bridge". Could even hit from time to time using space between two trees as well as he could be arrowed in the same way. If move to the left - he also moved there and could hit (or could not - dumb). Melees were always close: one wrong step and they hit. A good thing only one of them could get to me, only archers e.g. were able to hit, but only if move a little bit back. A strange spot tbh. GW also could do something dumb, so had to be on guard all the time.

SnS almost dex WarriorDecided to do Behlen cheating task and go to the DRs to Aeducan Thaig for one reason - loot to sell: - did the quest, only still needed 15 gold to buy trinket. Killed Bounty Hunters near Orzammar: 2 bombs (the mage is dead), arrows for archer and one melee, the rest are SnS. In Orzammars could not win any dwarven fanatics encounters, so just left them. *** Alright, became obsessed with getting another OP trinket, Spellward. But always "no gold thing" after looting some area or looting the deadmen was annoying. Understand not the best PT getting higher level before going to the Circle and be stunned by Holy Smites all the time. But whatever. Already encounters are diffecult for some reason. Anyway: *** To buy Spellward needed only 7 gold. - Went to Haven w/o going to the chantry: killed people there -loot. - Had encounter "The Low Road" with three blight wolves and one blight bear (during the fight got level 9 - charming) - Lake Tavern: killed deserters - loot. - Lake Tavern: talked to the owner and killed ambush cultists (2 attempts with bombs and running around) - loot. - Decided to try "Careless Accusation" from Mages: X attempts. That 2h asshole already had "Crit Strike". Great. Had to use my last "swift salve" as just could not pass that encounter. Two bombs for the mage, ran behind the tree and just melee'd them + deathroot poison (that works now thanks to mod). - Finished "Crime Wave" for now: with both skills. - Killed Paedan, after got payment for him from the Crows and got two other Crow contracts. Now have gold to buy trinket. ------ Some thoughts and observations: - originally wanted 50/50 strength/dex, but was noticeable lower damage, resists. Moreover, according to capn233 "dex SnS DN PT", it will be all the time if take more dex. Thus for now decided to get ab 60/40 strength/dex. Damage is normal I would say, at the same time dodge works (dex in to blame for that?). - In Demerim had "Black Vial" ambush: decided to try to watch dmg and dodge. Revenant missed a lot, but hit very hard, so my GW died. Again "dex + cailan boots" are to blame? Or just random... - If that 2h asshole from "We even killed darkspawn" already had "Crit Strike", can imagine what will be in the Cirlce. My timing to do evetything in this PT is somewhat irrational. - Like PS of 2h very much. Playing SnS started to like Shield Bash. Only lower strength - more resisit. Hope ab 60/40 build would be enough. ------ Killed Kossith mercs for Crows. Camp: changed runes, talked to people (listening to C.Black voicing Morrigan is relaxing for some reason). Attributes for now Stength 40 Dex 25 So need to add dex a little and keep ab 60/40. Then watch damage and dodge. Gear: KCP + Stolen Champion Shield + sword/axe/mace (depends) with different runes. Trinkets: Spellward amulet, rings "key to the city" + "Seal of Red Rat" +some stolen belt (con/strength - also change according to encounter). Next stop - Honnleath.

Things are a lot more manageable when you get Lifegiver. If "a lot", had to buy "lifegiver" instead of the amulet. --- The reason to buy "Spellward" was actually some encounters with mages, incl Thaig, Careless Accusations and even Bounty Hunters + some others. Resist was less than 50 %. That was troubling. "Lifegiver" indeed has very good stats, was tempted to buy it as well. Well, can't afford everything. --- If have "saves" will reload and buy "lifergiver" I think.

Continuation of SnS no-pot-solo-PT
The closest "save" was in the Kossith camp. Realoaded to buy "Lifegiver". Finished this Crow task. Went to Orzammar: finished another Crow task there. Bought "lifegiver" ring.
Tried to fight fanatics. In Diamond Part things went really bad so I started running. Ran in Lord Dace direction waiting for health regen, and his two left from the Thaig bodygurads attacked those fanatics as well (Lord Dace did nothing). "Helpers" were killed anyway, but did not even know it can happen.
Also fought fanatics in Common Part.
Camp: rearranged runes, talked to people.
Honnleath
Very quickly, only one reload due to missed acid flask.
Camp: enchantment and some talking.
The Circle
Spell Resist 40 (KCP) + 4 (key to the city) + 2/4 (weapons) + 4 (Zevran Boots - but did not use them) = 48-52 max.
Conclusions: - watched some kind of "spamming competition" in the Circle; - most important thing with further explanations: the sooner the better - came to the Circle with level 10, got level 11 and already had problems in a form of additional spells and abilities; - stupid mages gave more problems than templars with DD: usually have problems with templars - more of them, Desire Demon nearby spamming spells all the time; here mages spammed their abilities healing each other at the same time. Mage encounters resulted in reloads half of the time (never had such a thing); - Sloth: had to use other forms for the Ogre only - at this level it just spammed all the time his "ramming", simply could not do anything at all with that in a human form. Even as 2h with ID it would be difficult to do anything anyway as your abilities are interrupted by ramming. The rest forms were killed in a human form - nothing difficult.
Uldred
Decided to write about that pathetic excuse of encounter separately.
Will mention from the start that I used in each reload different additional protections and helping means like salves/cold-proof ring and amulet etc.
Will say again: for such PT better go to the circle ASAP as because I had lvl 11 already had the following problems and was just lucky to catch a glitch that helped me, otherwise - end of "SnS no-pot-solo-PT".
Still remembering my "2h-no-pot-solo-PT", when I spent the whole night for this encounter/some vids how to deal with Uldred using special abilities of other classes/remembering that you need some kiting + better use cancel animation, decided not to waste much time for direct approach and use a bow from that hiding spot to the left from the ladder in case melee failure. Only my origianl plan failed completly. 1) Enemies had larger health pool. Abominations could not be killed with one acid flask as usual, throwing it on them resulted in loosing less than half of their health. What was Uldred health pool can't even imagine. 2) Spell resist I had did not help at all. Not even a single spell resist, even with additional protection. 3) Tried melee approach several times, only calling it "melee" is a mistake: Uldred spammed spells from the very beginning each time. Even if I managed to get close to him to hit he still spammed spells, did not even bother to use his usual melee attacks which he actually had to use in that case. Not a single melee attack in "direct melee approach". WTH? 3) Arrow time: ran to the hiding spot and just watched how Uldred no matter the distance spammed spells my GW could not resist. Died several times. Once ended up on the ladder (the same glitch as I had with 2h DC) and died there from WG while burning alive. BTW: if 2h warrior can exploit that "ladder glitch" using 2h abilities, SnS warrior can't. Suspect DW also would be able to use weapons, archer won't. Need some ability that could be used through the wall. 4) Already started to think "end of my SnS PT", but cought another glitch that helped me and considering the described situation I did not mind at all to use it. Ran again to the hiding spot near the ladder. Uldred ended up close to my GW. Only there is some metal spare part, so I managed to end up on the spot where Uldred tried to use melee attack but could not hit me and approach. Suspect one wrong step and he would be able to do something nasty. At the same time he did not use spells as he usually did. Started to use "mana wave" only when lost half of his health. And he did not try to turn the rest mages into abominations for some reason.
So what I did just used Litany. It did 20 damage. Considering Uldred health pool can imagine how much time I needed to kill him. Pushed the same button again and again and managed to drink 3 cups of coffee while waiting for him to peg out. Tiresome? Could be. Only not in this case.
That will teach me: for solo (at least no-pot) better go to the Circle first w/o wandering around the whole map.
Tent time.
------ General observations: - with dex 25 + some "dodge" gear noticed dodges, but mostly with simple enemies. With higher rank enemies worked from time to time; - in Honnleath had much easier time as SnS Warrior than as 2h. The same gear, weapon was different of course, same trinkets. Did not use poison or bombs even; one reload because of my clumsy hands resulting in missed acid flask (unlike with 2h with hell of reloads/bombs/poisons; still have DW Warrior for the same "no-pot-PT" in Ostagar for now, but she is for later, interesting how things would go with DW GW). - saw crits very often with simple hits; - have already written about the circle time.
*** And a question if I may: Noticed my GW with 40 strength did not even resist knockdowns, stuns and sunders from different abilities (PS, SnS abilities, fade creatures), thus - running tactics (with very simple enemies like in Honnleath it was fine, but others in Orzammar or somewhere else - no resist). With fanatics e.g. (2 groups): - PS: hell of usage, but only 2 resists; - SnS abilities: the same; - Sunders: the same; - Dust Wraith in Honnleath: knocked me down all the time, no resist at all. Considering they all usually used their abilites at the same time I could not even do anything (stun, stun, knockdown, stun, kd,kd, run), so just started running when was possible waiting for health regen.
They are "physical resist" acc to wiki.
From calculations: 40(str) + 25(dex) + 28(con) = 31,5 Acc to wiki again, maximum resistance chance is 75 % (from another wiki table). Can't figure out the following. In the first table it is written "max 100" but not in %. The second table from another wiki page states "max resist chance for a player" - 75 % According to formula my GW physical resist is 31,5 with max 100, but if it is not in % than in what is it measured? According to the second table - max is 75 % so according to this my GW resist cchance is almost half from max. But according to the first table - it is very far from ideal (if max is 100 in something).
So confusing. 100 max in what? Another table states % and I have almost half from the max, but the formula is given with 100 of something, so can this number 31,5 of something be applied to the second table with max 75 %. Or only to 100 max of unknown measurement.
NOTE: in the Circle saw more "physical resist", just do not understand some facts and info written above.

re from WG while burning alive. BTW: if 2h warrior can exploit that "ladder glitch" using 2h abilities, SnS warrior can't. Suspect DW also would be able to use weapons, archer won't. Need some ability that could be used through the wall. There is probably a difference in the hit arc, and that some SnS abilities move the character forward a little. This comes into play trying to beat the dragon. I find it easier to use Sunder Arms or Sunder Armor on the dragon without getting kicked compared to SnS. Enemies kind of scale past you on Nightmare (with respect to check), and you can't get enough attribute points to make it up. Hale runes or other gear with +Physical Resistance can help. Physical Resistance rating isn't exactly the chance to resist the check, it is just a score. It is similar to Attack or Defense, it is getting compared against an enemy score, and that determines the chance. If the chance calculates out higher than 75%, it uses 75% instead. Actually I didn't remember that the player had a percent limit on this, I think that it usually can't be that high in Nightmare anyway.

There is probably a difference in the hit arc, Yes, scientific definition of my simply -written sentence. Wanted to add one thing though. It is about this "ladder glitch" with my 2h DC. Uldred and abominations could melee me very simple through the wall if I was too close to it. Thus sunders helped a lot back there. But managed to use MB as well as simple hits actually myself. Enemies kind of scale past you on Nightmare (with respect to check), and you can't get enough attribute points to make it up. Hale runes or other gear with +Physical Resistance can help Understand that. Only turns out in Orzammar from all encounters I have had for now (and there were enough of them)only those fanatics scaled past me. Do not recall such problems with other enemies in Orzammar. Here and there could happen "no-resist", but not like in case of crazy dwarves. Physical Resistance rating isn't exactly the chance to resist the check, it is just a score. It is similar to Attack or Defense, it is getting compared against an enemy score, and that determines the chance. That's what it is. Now understood these numbers/%/calculation/formulae. Thank you.

SnS dex no-pot-solo PT
First things first.
The build for now.
Original goal was keep str/dex - 50/50, then 60/40 - and see the result.
What have now:
Level 11
Str 48 Dex 32
It is obvious from numbers, but to be really sure simple school formula can help with calculations: precisely 60%/40%. Looking at damage and dodges now with SD On - they are fine. For now if dodge is fine will add more str and see what happens. Only later, with maxed SW (-20% dmg), do not know whether use it or no as the build is not "full -strength" and that damage penalty is not the best part of it all. Plus actually would like to change armor for another armor set later.
For now will add strength
After the Circle
Level 12 + 3 str, Shield Wall, Shield Expertise Str 51 Dex 32
Will use Shield Wall for now to watch what will be going on.
Continuation
Sold loot from the circle - got several gold and bought some bombs and ingredients (needed as many swift salves as possible - really helpful). Also bought one mace with rune slots + crit chance and AP (2 gold).
Camp: enchantment + talking.
Encouner "Five Pages, four mages": 2 attempts. The first one ended in death as the mage paralized me right away for eternity it seemed. The second time he used fireball + something else, but did not work on me (unlike his buddies). Poison, ran to the mage already using electro-spells. Used abilities to kill him. Others, incl the leader, hit me, but missed a lot. Defence was very good. Got again crits.
Denerim
Turned in some quests.
The Crows
Finished the last quest: had to use a bow as their damage was as if my GW was completly naked. Used a bow from a hiding spot behind the crates for some of them. Left 3-4 enemies for SnS.
Wynne
1st encounter: nothing to mention, killed melees, lured ranged ones.
2nd encounter: 3 attempts because of the mage using annoying spells. Tried to save Wynne, but she aggro'd everyone, "threat" did not help. To avoid annoying mage tried to stay as far as possible from him (he used only staff + 1 fireball, killing his friends), killed all melees, then ran after him. Had to use swift salve not to die again as he used swarms every time (last time caught curse of mortality).
Tried Leliana ambush (in the camp she had told about her crime past).
Failed again and agian: huge damage from the leader + that stupid witch standing all the time on the top and refusing to come closer to me (as it happens if you have lower level and coming closer to the bridge). Tried "ramming" - failed again. Last time could use a bow hiding behind the tree, now that tree was useless as that witch was standing there using spells.
Added: after Wynne tried again Leliana ambush
Three attempts, had to use precious swift salve and several bombs. Killed DW merc and a wolf, who managed to use OV (good KCP + SW saved - the damage from the wolf was almost nothing). Ran closer to the bridge, ignoring that assassin tried to use bomb on the witch - rather difficult as GW ran in different directions while aiming. Used 3 bombs on the witch, wanted to melee the assassin, but she was standing right where the Leader could shoot me (health was very low), so again had to use three bombs on the assassin. After that the same tactics: did not cross the bridge not to trigger other enemies. Used a bow and that tree near the leader for health regen, arrowed him making rather good damage with simple hits of course, while his simple hits did almost nothing (the damage was dangerous when he used archer abilities only).
On the way to the Dalish got Axameter encounter.
The Dalish Camp
In the camp did some quests with the help of companions' skills.
Went to the forest: no promblems with werewolves and bears, health started to decrease only if there were too many around me, otherwise the damage from them was almost nothing.
Found the hunter, took his stuff, in the camp returned trinket from his mother and a gem for his bride. Other things from him: axe, bow, boots.
Ran around the forest: Sylvans - no promlems; 3 Orges - used Pommel to stun, the first Orge grabbed me but the damage again was almost nothing, though had to run in circles from him as further he spammed "ram" and massive attacks; two other Ogres just used simple hits.
Hermit: played "guessing game" to get an elven helmet, after robbed back that acorn. Took several attemps to kill the mage mostly because of the Rage Demons. Eventually had to use a fire proof balm (did not want to waste it as had only 2 small + 1 great). Spell resist mostly worked, but not always (got WG, curse, cone of cold).
Added: reloaded. Decided to use" running tactics". Helped: Rage Demons went after me, the mage used FF spells and almost killed Rage Demons for me (good thing my GW resisted); thanked for the help by killing him using SB several times.
Did Wynne's quest with her student.
Revenant: tried one time only, but was obvious rather early, almost no chance to win (with 2h IIRC went after them somewhere before the Landsmeeting).
"Thy Brother's Killer" for Mages' Collective: wanted to wait till get level 15 with Holy Smite (which makes that quest very easy). But as was nearby still did it. Several attempts, 3 bombs, for two others simple SnS. Several attemps because of "spell resist luck" thing. During last attempt resisted all their spells (only lightning worked).
Twisted Path encounter: 2 attempts.
Orzammar
Turned in some quests.
Black Vials: about 10 attemps. As every battle ended in a way "it or me" decided to try several times. Used Aodh Axe (Sword was useless). Did not use anything (poison/salve etc) as did not want to waste them (not many left and needed money for the rest trinkets). Used SD, not SW.
Caged in Stone: a lot of running around the table, only it took less time to get Ageless in comparison with 2h DC. Used SW, though could have used SD actually.
Do not even why but decided to try the Carta (first wanted to finish the Dalish plot quest)
Carta + Jarvia
Used Aodh Axe the whole time + Champion Shield.
Not much to say: defence is good, damage is good (even with SW penalty), enemies died fast. Jarvia encounter took two attempts. Had to use several bombs + poison.
After decided to try Provings (official and not). Took part simply as GW. Also not much to say: no bombs/salves/ twice used poison (in vain). In every round tactics included running if health went down fast. But with SW + dodges both provings went fast w/o reloads even.
Now in the camp.
------ Observations: - many crits with simple hits and abilities w/o crits. Max with SD was ab 60, with SW ab 40-43 (mod is still working - very good); - used Aodh Axe for a long time, then got Axameter + had Maric's Blade - changed these three weapons depending on enemies and situations in general. But most of the time used Axes (even if the best runes has the Maric's Blade). Axes has rather good stats, even Aodh "+3 crit chance" workd very nice (e.g. with Black Vials Revenant - very often crits; and not only with that undead, everywhere); - noticed a new spam: 2hs now use "Crit Strike" w/o CD at all. In each encounter I had where 2h was/were, saw that spam - not good; - Carta dwarf turned on SW, but I could SBashed him. Some glitch I think (saw it twice), only saw it the very first time.
About the build: - for now satisfied with the build: defence is good, damage is nice and with good defence and SW dmg penalty sill have time to kill a bunch of enemies; - dodges are visible (the important part): many enemies simply can't hit me, only those with higher level hit more often/often/very often/always. But, tbh, thought "ab 40% dex" would be not enough. Thus in general ratio about 60/40 (later 70/30) + some "dodge gear" is satisfying to have nice damage (not the highest) and still avoid attacks. At least for now.

SnS Warrior no-pot-solo Continuation Not much for now is done. DenerimTurned in small quests MarjolaineTook 3 attemps. But only because of using "dirty fight" + I also would like to do such damage with pure fists like Marjolaine; reminds me of my first PT of "Neverwinter Nitghts" by male monk using kung-fu. Anyway, resisted everything that was thrown at my GW (stonefist, explosions, bard abilities). Used all three abilities with Marjolaine: stun worked (1 resist), knockdown worked as well (2-3 resists). Mage Cannon Fodder Encounter: one left alive. Soldier's PeakDied once: Abomination with healers - during the second wave three Rage Demons popped up and did not expect that. Return to Ostagar (continuation)Left before going to the bridge with Cailan's body. In general actually can describe it all as capn233 wrote about his SnS Warrior - "felt invincible". Used - Sonya' chesplate; - Cailan's boots; - diligence gloves, changed them for cailan's gloves when took them back; - honnleath helm; - trinkets: rings "lifegiver" and "key to the city", warden's oath (+2 con), some belt; - stolen champion's shield + Veshialle (had gold and decided to buy weapon + now have more gold to buy trinkets). Changed the Axe for other axes or swords including Starfang, but was tired and just used Vershialle. Shield Defence + Precision strike + 3 offensive abilities. Period. On the bridge reloaded as got ever-forever paralysis. After nothing difficult: watched again how enemies used ballistas killing their own kind (idiots), mostly just used simple hits, got more crits, higher damage, armor was good. Interesting one thing though + a question here arises: the whole time used SD, but also used Sonya's armor + runes to get physiacal resist 72, which was not enough for the Zombie Ogre ram on the first floor of the Tower - ended up on the ground two times in a row ("ram" spamming). So what, only SW can give immunity to knockdowns? Or in fact using runes/gear can give SnS warrior a chance not to end up on the ground? capn233 , you had 100 physical resist according to your images. Did it help with kockdowns if you had a chance to check it with SD? Some moments:- spider ambush: first thought to use a bow but "felt invincible" worked with spiders as well - used OV + Web one after another, but the damage from them was little;just waited a moment to use some abilities + already had (finally) AoE Holy Smite. - Orge: again did like with 2h DC running in circles near the entrance avoiding the Ogre attacks and grabs not to trigger zombie apocalypse too fast, only caught a "grab", took some damage, used Pummel all the time to stun the ogre. After just ran to the mage and killed him, nothing difficult here. What helped with the Ogre part - dodges actually. Only two" rams' + one" grab". Notes:- One good thing about doing different quests in different time: can see what other surprises enemies can present you. E.g. in "Soldier's Peak" DLC with that Abomination: during the second wave of healers three Rage Demons popped up. Usully do this DLC earlier so there are no Rage Demons (there were PTs somewhere in the past with doing this DLC later, also got these Demons, only forgot already about them). Went to the camp for enchantments. Maybe will go after Zathrian next.

SnS Continuation
As for attr: still keep 60/40 (str/dex).
Black Vials The Circle Two attempts: used only SD + PS + simple hits + sometimes abilities. Did not use any poisons or protection (not many of them and not enough gold to buy ingredients). Revenant missed a lot - very good. The same gear.
Dark Forest Encounter (with horde of spiders and web): dodges, dodges, dodges. Got crit 101. Nice. Fow now use everywhere SD + PS. No salves, poisons etc.etc. Try to save them for more difficult encounters.
Bandits where the Mad Mage was: easy, many resists.
"River Crossing" Encounter: Holy Smite for melees, after ran right behind the upper tree. There hit melees. Almost died (lvl 16), deathroot poison did not work - no stuns at all. Holy Smite again to make life easier with the rest three bandits.
The Dalish
Small Dragon: direct approach made so sense, so used a tree again. Tiresome. One thing was annoying: tree roots for some reason did not let me run back and forth normally.
Black Vials Revenant 1: one attempt. Almost died though if not for three rather big crits.
Black Vials Revenant 2 (in the Lair): X attempts w/o salves etc (close calls). One attempt with swift salve. Nevertheless because of "close calls" still reloaded and it took three attempts to kill him w/o anything (got lucky last time). One thing is interesting: last time with 2h DC no-pot-solo to restore health could run to another room, the Revenant did not follow for some reason but still could be seen on the map. Then just returned to him and continued fighting. This time did the same thing only after returning to the Revenant he had full health bar. Strange.
Shadow Werewolves OV is annoying. In one place had to find a spot where OV can't be used in a row, at least had time there to do something: OV, used Holy Smite, did some dmg, OV, dmg, Holy Smite (something like that, otherwise: OV, OV, OV - dead).
Slaughter of the Dalish: actually what I wanted to check Zathrian and Lanaya as their spells were always a huge trouble. Here nothing like that (lvl 16). Very simple and quick. Got lucky maybe.
Witherfang: not a single chance because of OV spam.
Zathrian: killed during the second attempt as during the first one Shades spammed their "slam" - just used abilities and simple hits to stun and knock him down.
Back to the camp.

Did it help with kockdowns if you had a chance to check it with SD? I don't think I looked at that really. I don't think Ram from the ogre actually performs a check for physical resistance, just knocks you down if hit unless you have immunity to that effect. It is also one of the "auto-hit" abilities, so it doesn't perform an attack roll and can't be avoided with defense.

BTW, about DW Warrior. I have DW CEO Warrior (in Ostagar now, play from time to time now as busy with SnS Warrior). You had a run with the Dalish DW Warrior, have mentioned it was strength oriented warrior with high physical resist (100%, used Hale runes). As DW Warrior is the next in my "no-pot-solo-PT" list, would like to ask some things if you remember of course: - about physical resist: did you try to get higher physical resist ASAP using hale runes? (do not mention attrubute points as you need levels up anyway) or was focused on more important things e.g. (in short: getting "high PS" was Number 1, or 2/3/4)? - maybe you managed to notice with what phisycal resist(appxm) your GW started to reist SB, PS, archer abilities - such things. E.g. now with 72 most of the time my SnS GW almost always resists those enemy abilities (lvl 16-17). Now unpleasant for me part and really hope for your help/advice/ anything at all as it is just fucking impossible.Made progress with SnS GW but can't post the result because of one thing - just can't kill that High Dragon in Haven Temple. Now level 17. Used everything: armor, weapon, runes, tactics, positioning during the fight etc. etc. etc. And yeah, have "Assault" that helps a lot. But what always happens: get killed by fire. The dragon just spams fire spits all the time. And the thing is: it does not matter what I am doing and where I am standing. In the end my GW simply unable to regen health in time. Now stuck in that temple unable to kill the Dragon. Actually first thought - my level is low, but have never had problems with dragons with lvl 17. Tried Flemeth as well and got the same result: always died because of "fire-spit" spam, some dragon conspiracy or something? Now already thought to get some levels and get to her again. Or get fire-proof armor, only with solo melee PT that armor is not helpful tbh... Actually that's all for now. Can't continue this SnS solo.

Alright. High Dragon in the Temple.Managed to kill it. Took about 10 attempts. In comparison with million "usual approach" attempts it seems not many. First tried again and again usual methods as sometimes methods "simple reload/turn the game off-on" can help, but I play on PC so it could be the issue in about 1 % of such cases (tbh can't even remember the exact cases in my PTs, but there were some). Anyway, managed to kill as half-melee/half-ranged warrior - it was the best I could think of, considering everything else was useless. No balm/salve/bomb. For melee attacks used: - Sonya's chestplate - Sonya's gloves (fire resist) - cailan's boots - honnleath helm - usual the nicest trinkets - Gorim's shield (health regen) - Aodh Axe (fire resist) So had 30 % fire resist - at least it was something. Fought near that ruined circle entrance (not to the right of it). Hit the dragon when could, managed to survive several fire spits with 30% resist. If got lucky to catch the dragon on CD, could last longer. When health was about 1/4 switched to Diligence chestplate (health regen) and a bow waiting for almost full health regen and could arrow the dragon a little bit only. Ran to the circle and back, the dragon followed me, and as had little time could use only one shot at a time before changing position. Only while waiting for health regen with a bow different things happened (could not relax at all): - very often the dragon simply flew to me w/o hiding. If she did that, it meant she was going to use at least 2 of her nasty abilities - usually she used fire spit and buffet (others as well, but rare). And the thing is she could do it in different places and different time so had to watch her all the time. When she just flew to me, I switched to SnS (for additional 20 % resist and SW). After she was done with "just flying" switched back to the bow waiting for health regen, which took longer if the dragon decided to be closer to me even 1 time. Took me about 10 attempts because the dragon could simply fly to me several times in a row after changing position: used "fire spit" and my health was still low from the previous attack. That's all. Tbh I think my High Dragon Encounter was a crap, do not know why I could not just melee her. Left a save just in case capn233 would give some advice maybe/or in case would like to try it again after getting several lvls. Only there is still Flemeth w/o any ruined circles nearby and the same no-CD fire spits (saw dex SnS Leto images but that did not help because of dragon fire spam).

SnS some dex Warrior Continuation*** Some part of PT is in two previous posts. ***
Before HavenGot all parts of armor set from "Mage's Treasure" quest. One thing want to mention: many dodges again, even with 40 % of dex (and 60 % of str). So just killed the Revenant entourage while he tried to hit me and missed a lot. Rather funny. DenerimTurned in some quests Desolate Highway Encounter (wolves + traps): easy. Elf Cannon Fodder Encounter: all elves died (no wonder), my GW almost died (it is good to have AoE ability). The UrnJust somme moments: - several Drakes: found some corners where only one of them could hit me as they spam OV + dmg from them not low (died several times); - Kolgrim: two attempts - used only simple poison, first killed mages ASAP (had to switch to KCP the second time), after killed the rest (switch back to Sonya's chestplate) - only mages never missed. The rest - nothing difficult but the High Dragon: that part has been mentioned in two previous posts.

E.g. now with 72 most of the time my SnS GW almost always resists those enemy abilities (lvl 16-17). I worry about it mostly if it seems enemy shield bash is not being avoided, or once they start using sunder abilities frequently. You can get Ser Garlen's sword, and also a Studded Leather Helmet that both have + physical resistance early, and usually those are worth using. On my Dalish one, she found a Saw Sword in the origin, and that was the best sword for quite a while though. Dalish origin has Tevinter type treasure loot, and you can get better loot than other origins potentially. Early you usually don't have weapons with very many rune slots, and often the + damage is better. May be worth leveling up. I usually try to use fire resistance balms rather than armor, using the best armor I have. Should have at least Lifegiver, may want armor or weapons with health regeneration. I do not activate fire resistance until the dragon actually starts to spit a fireball. That way it is more efficient and potentially takes fewer of them. She shouldn't spit fireballs the first half of the encounter if you can stay very close to her, which means you have to avoid getting kicked, and run in a relatively tight circle as she turns. This can be tricky and tedious to do. The other thing is that you basically can't use normal auto-attack as SnS. Assault is the most reliable active. Overpower and Shield Pummel can work but are more difficult to use correctly. You have a very small spot to the flank, a short distance outside the target circle, slightly rearward, where the character should perform the attack without moving too close, and still damage the dragon. Sometimes I manually abort it by moving if it looks like the character is moving too close to a leg when ordered to use the ability. If you find yourself getting too low on health, an option is also to just stop attacking the dragon, while remaining near to it at the side. When you do this, it won't kick or spit fireballs at you, so you just have to move when it rotates and regen your health.

This can be tricky and tedious to do. Hmmm, it is tricky indeed. Maybe that was the reason of "fire-spam". Though tried to stay as close as possible avoiding to be kicked, sometimes failed, after several attempts got used to such positioning. But the dragon still burnt me to the death every time. Thanks for advice. There is still Flemeth to try. And left "save" for Haven Dragon. ------ Continuation of SnS WarriorDenerimTurned in some quests (for Mages' Collective, Decrepit Scrolls). Found the last Deserter for Irregulars. GaxkangFirst took only 2 attempts (to my surprise), but as play SnS needed some more different shields. Have hell of different weapons already with different stats/runes/for different enemies, but only two shields: "Gorim's Shield" with health regen and stolen "Champion Shield" with + 12 defence. Level 18 already, need to keep up. Gorim is not my buddy so I can't get a nice shield from him. But Gaxkang can drop a nice "Fade Wall Shield". Only this drop is from the category "almost impossible to get RNG", the same goes for Sophia's loot. So installed a mod for guaranteed "Fade Wall Shield" drop - do not consider it as "cheat" as I can get that shield anyway though do not want to waste time fighting Gaxkang several times; only forgot to install this mod to get Sophia's shield as well. To get that drop had to fight Gaxkang again (should not be in the Gaxkang hovel to have that loot). This time took me about 10 attempts: mage form was the trouble, warrior form missed like crazy. Switched to KCP + one ice/spirit smaller resist + 2 swift salves + 1 spirit poison (had several bottles). Used fire rune a well. Now have 3 shields, that's progress. Last RequestNOTE: usually I do not do this quest as somewhere in the past after reinstalling the game it started to crash in the end of the quest and corrupted several saves (usually it cost me replaying several difficult encounters or several hours of PT). Decided to try at my own risk. Remembered nothing at all what/who/in what numbers. Knew only there are blood mage assholes there. But turned out well, no crashes for now at least. Used KCP, died 2 times, but it was fine. Made the first oder from Wade and was thinking what to buy as doubt will have gold for two chestplates: Felon's Coat or Evon the Great's Mail. Plus wanted to buy a dagger in Orzammar but only to try in some encounters as still want to stay "Full-hand weapon + shield warrior". Hhmmm. Next stop - Dwarven Army.Went to the camp to rearrange runes. Went back to Wade to take the first armor set and sell it right away. Decided to buy Felon's Coat, but still hope will have gold for Evon the Great's Mail as well; the best dagger is out of the question already I think. After turned out did not have enough gold to order the next armor set from Wade - needed 20 gold, had about 10. Went to fight the darkspawn and hoping to get more gold. ThaigsUsed Felon'a Coat, changed weapon according to enemies, like Maric's Blade + 16 dmg from runes e.g., tried other weapons as well with different runes. Dodges are still very good, damage is also good (for "some-dex-SnS" warrior). Caridin's crossBlack Vials Revenant: very easy, did not even change armor. Almost died fightng the Ogre: a place where you get part of the sword from the mage. Caught "a grab": was surprised still had some health after several punches; after had to run around waiting for Pummel CD that always stunned the Ogre (three times and he died). Plus the Ogre tried to spam "ram". *** Got level 19Still keep about 60 str/40 dex: Str 65 Dex 50 Defence 128 (85 + 43) Attack 124 (108 + 16) It is with PS and SD ON and with Maric's Blade and Fade Wall Shield *** Ortan Thaig is next
