Not this gen. The PS4 started off with much better performance and now has a comfortably bigger exclusive library (Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, Last of Us, Persona 5) ... which is why Microsoft is buying up studios so their exclusives are stronger next gen *looks at Obsidian* Though if you're looking mainly for backward compatibility to play you're old games then Xbox is comfortably better there. Exclusives aren't everything. Plus xbox one x runs smoother than the ps4pro or so ivs heard. I've also heard the ps4 has issues the xbox version of games don't. Witcher 3 for example ran like shit compared to the other versions. Game exclusivity is the central driving force behind console sales in general, so while not everything, it's most of it by a wide margin. XBox simply doesn't have anything currently that would ever make me pick it as my sole system, and I don't suspect that will be the case for a long time, if not indefinitely. Heck Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider-Man would be enough lol. I would only really go with XBox now for the old BioWare games that I can't get on current gen PS4's.

I played the PS3 ME2 demo back in the day, and I couldn't aim for shit compared to a mouse and keyboard.

Console controls are too clunky compared to a keyboard and mouse. Eh, I've been using controllers since I was a kid, so not much difference anymore. It just comes down to cost, which PC is easily the more expensive option.

I think it depensd on what you'er used to erqally I' dbeen playing shootres on and off for quiet a while befoer I'd ever heard or played Mass Efect so the shooter part was never a problem. The only issues I had was mainly rtying t ounderstand the RPG part. Which took a bit of doing because ME1 was my first RPG I ever played or at least the first one I ever got seriously into. I too find mouse and keyboard easier but I thin kthat's down a lot to my disability. The only games I can seemingl ypla yon conrtollre really aer sports ones such as FIFA. Everything else I jus tgenerall yfind mous eand keyboard easier to use.

I think a controller like that is good for racing games, because you steer with the stick. However, not so much for shooting games. When I had a PS3 I had no problem driving a racing car or playing golf with the controller though.

The cost of PC gaming is quite manageable if you build your own, particularly if you don't mind a used component or two. I put my current rig together for a bit under $250.

Fair enough but I think it might have a leg up next gen as Microsoft has more companies under its umbrella now. Xbox isnt going anywhere. But I prefer my PC anyway.

Although if you don't find extinction preferable to assimilation, I guess you could always join the PC Master Race. Wasn't that basically Saren's argument? Dude, here on BioWare fanpages Saren's word is cool.
Or as a fly-guy might say, Saren's word is "word"

I can't use a keyboard and mouse combo to a play a game to save my life, now give me a Xbox or PS controller and I can make the Mako, Hammerhead, and Nomad dance.
Keyboards are too big and clunky for me, and for me personally are made for typing and nothing more. The mouse only works on a point and click games like Baldur's Gate, I can play but it's not worth the physical pain that I've had gotten in wrist to do that.

The cost of PC gaming is quite manageable if you build your own, particularly if you don't mind a used component or two. I put my current rig together for a bit under $250.
Some people can't build a PC due to lack of knowledge, skill, tools, time and money. I know I can't. So I would have to pay a store for the parts and labor which can be more expensive than buying Xbox One X or a PS4 Pro, and even if I could build a PC a lot of that depends on the kind of games one likes to play (and any other things one might want to with a PC) and with some major games that constantly pushing players to buy the latest graphics cards, sound cards, bigger HDs, more RAM, the latest version of Windows, (and plus any stuff extra like headsets, mics, controllers, keyboards, mouse, speakers, and TVs) I don't have the money, time, and the patience anymore to deal with that crap. The only major hardware that I have buy for my Xbox One S and my PS4 is a new rechargeable battery pack and nothing for the PS4 I would like to get a headset for it and that is it. I don't have to contend with all the headaches and spending money on hardware and OS upgrades on a PC that I only use to surf the internet, if the browsers and virtual keyboards were better on the Xbox One and/or PS4 I doubt I would the PC much anymore.
Simply put I have no desire to "keep up with the Jones" on having to spend more and more money on a piece of hardware upgrades to play games at their best with results that only graphics and animation nuts can tell the difference while that most people can't tell a major difference between Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, Switch, and PC. Or technology in general. I lived by the simple rule: "if it's not broke don't fix it". I only got a HD TV when my old analog TV finally went out you know what I game I was playing when it died? Mass Effect 3 on my Xbox 360 and I also had my PS3 hooked up to that TV as well. The only difference I noticed was that the sound was better my HDTV than the analog. If that analog hadn't died I was planning to get a HD TV but in a few months. I like to upgrade when I'm good and ready or when I had to, not because companies push me to upgrade which I really really hate.
If you want to that is fine, but I will stick to my consoles.
My dad still has a working analog TV, a VCR, a HDTV, a DVD player, and a Blu-Ray player/streaming media box and has access to plenty of VHS tapes, DVDs, and Blu-Rays between the both of us he's quite happy with them. He barely uses Amazon Prime (because they have more movies and classic TV shows that he likes), and only watches certain YouTube videos that I know has subjects he's into, and I don't think he's ever watched anything on Netflix. He doesn't have a cell phone or a smart phone (I have the smart phone) he can use it as a phone and not much else.

Very true I have th eknowledfge t oput a PC togethe rbui tunfortunately m ydiasbili tykind of makes it too hard forme to do that. Thankfully ther are places wher yo ucan pick the components yo uwant and have them assemble it for you. I alway sstruggle a bit with th eAnalogue sticks s ostick to mous eand keyboard most of the time. Especially when playing games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Controller over keyboard and mouse for me. Even with my gaming PC. I need to sit back and hold the controller. Plus pressing the trigger feels better to me than clicking a mouse. It feels more manly...yeah that's what it is. Yeah.
Yeah.
Anyway, it's gotta be an Xbox controller too. I like the PS4 controller, but none before that.

I just generally find mouse and keyboard easiest regardless of the game and only really use the controller for FIFA but then I think FIFA was designed to play best on controller tbh.

I just generally find mouse and keyboard easiest regardless of the game and only really use the controller for FIFA but then I think FIFA was designed to play best on controller tbh. I can agree. What control device(s) I use fully depend on the game I play.
For "space" games like X4: Foundations, I use a joystick. Shooter-like games (like Doom) and Western RPG's (like The Witcher) I usually play with Mouse and Keyboard. I prefer a Xbox One controller when I play JRPG's (Like Trails Of Cold Steel or Tokyo Xanadu eX+). Lucky enough I managed to adapt to all of those configurations.
Mind you - I do not use a controller for that long. Only the recent years when I really got "into" JRPG stuff, I started using them (because most PC ports have a terrible M+KB implementation). I was really terrible and uncomfortable with those controllers at first, but slowly managed to adapt to those devices. I am now very comfortable with it, and do not mind to use it any longer.
So - At the end I became a bit of an all-rounder.
