What are we to do about all these delays? I have pre-orders for Watch Dogs and Cyberpunk looking lonely on my console, not to mention other games worth playing. Better good than buggy of course. But how are your 2020 gaming plans changing?

Why do people pre-order anyway? Its not like publishers can run out of games in this online age.

My 2020 gaming plans haven't changed at all, to be honest. I haven't purchased a AAA game in four years, and so far I have no motivation to do otherwise.
I recommend checking out the indie and AA scenes. Better bang for your buck.

But how are your 2020 gaming plans changing? I got nothing to play until Fall (or whenever Bloodlines 2 release if that is before Fall). All my games got delayed now! Fall...I'm not sure how I'm going to survive...I guess I'm keeping PC Game Pass for a little longer, lol. Why do people pre-order anyway? Its not like publishers can run out of games in this online age. To keep track of when things release with all those delays of course!

But how are your 2020 gaming plans changing? Largely unchanged, I think. I'll keep plodding along with RDR2 until the heat death of the universe. Once I've finished that off to my satisfaction I'll dive back into Jedi Fallen Order for a second PT, to see if patching has helped what was already a very enjoyable experience. Then, later in the year, Bloodlines 2 and after that - maybe Cyberpunk. Maybe.

Yeah I was planning on gettin gAvengers for my birthday but I guess that plan has changed now that's been delayed as for what I'll do instead I'll decide closer to the time. But other than the Avengres game ther's nothing catching my eye so my plans haven't changed that much.

So I'll likely use the opportunity to dive into my backlog and play a few games on that. But yeah I want to give JFO another rumn wih hopefull yme not screwing up again. But at least I know where I did so it should be easy to counter.

Yeah but it's really the only game that's got my imnteres tthough but the closest thing I can thok of the matches what it is is that it's kind of a superhero RPG done in a kind of Live service manner I think in that the ycan add more bits later but not sure. Either way I know I'l l be mostl ysticking to single player. But that's the best explanation I ca nthink of based on what I've seen. But yeah it's a bit of a weird one but it certainly has an interesting premise

I only get one or two new games each year so I haven't had too much of an impact. Right now its just Bloodlines and its delay, but even then its not a big deal for me. I will just buy something cheap on some sale and play it if I am looking for something new to play. Why do people pre-order anyway? Its not like publishers can run out of games in this online age. In this digital age, I have to pre-order otherwise I will spend at least a week downloading the game brooding that I cannot play it. Especially since any reviewer I thought was consistent over the last few years proved they aren't anymore.

Would have preferred Cyberpunk to release in April or at least NOT September because I usually go hiking, but then again I'm an adult and almost never play games on release day or even release month. Properly patched games are the best experience.
Not many games coming out these days I care about, so eh.

Yeah the number of nwe games in recent years I've been getting has been dropping as of late too. But I d ohave quiet the backlog so the fact this years going to be quiwt mught b just the excuse I need to play some of that. We'll see though but tbh it'll also depend on the kind of mood I'm in. Either way I'm sure I'll find something to keep myself occupied until the games I want come out I always seem to these days

Hm.. nothing changed for this year yet. I have some Assassins Creed games to redo and at work we just got tons of new games to test. In the meantime, typical MEAMP, Anthem and DAIMP antics continue

Though my immediate plans aer coverd anywa ybecause once I'm done wit hmy latest DAI playthrough I got a couple of other games not long before Christmas that I want to play so probably will look at them.

The only think I want that's coming out this year is The Waylanders, which I'm very much looking forward to. (Can't play Cyberpunk or Bloodlines 2 because they're first person and that makes me motion sick.) Maaaaaaaaybe Baldur's Gate 3 but I'm expecting that late in the year if it lands in 2020 at all.
I really SHOULD use the time to clear some backlog. What am I actually doing with my gaming time? Raid farming in a Pokemon game I don't even particularly like and replaying Pillars of Eternity again.

Only games i was checking for this year is "Little Nightmares 2" "RE3" and "FF7 Remake"....Cyberpunk is a big game, but i would have jumped on that if that game was from a 3rd person perspective. As it stands, i just finished "Control" which was decent and incredibly frustrating at times....so now i just have to go thru "The Surge 2" "Uncharted 4" "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" and "Days Gone" and i still haven't finished "Horizon Zero Dawn" I have a huge backlog to keep me busy....not to mention the daily dose of ME3 MP on a daily basis.....

Well, I guess I am affected. Cyberpunk is a must-buy for me and watch_dogs 3 is on my radar. That said, with my PoS, I am not entirely unhappy to wait till fall. It’s all good.

The delays haven't changed my 2020 plans. I am not getting Cyberpunk because it has no 3rd person. I don't have any current plans to get Watch Dogs because I prefer more story-focused games. I will likely get FF7 remake, but I don't have it preordered and don't really care that it got delayed a few months.
The worst for me is all the delays for DA4. I really wish that game would finally leave preproduction.

Shame really as before that I thought it was looking a good game that just may be worth my attention. TBH if I want toplay first person I'll just boot up Call of Duty or Battlefield I don't need or want that in my RPG's. Still it's their call

I do not care too much about Cyberpunk being delayed. If they need that extra time to get the game on at least the level of the previous game (and preferably even better), then they should go for it. At the end we will get a better game for our money.
For the other delay's... Hmmm... I'm not so sure...

I really don't think BioWare would have even announced it if they didn't want to control player's expectations, but since it was reported that they were working on it they did some quick limiting of what players can expect. Personally I much prefer when a game isn't announced or really talked about until its almost feature complete because things always change in development and that way the expectations are kept to a minimum instead of the thoughts of what what the game might be start. Honestly I like the people that are speculating doom and gloom even though I think its just looking at what they want because then it keeps expectations low.

Why do people pre-order anyway? Its not like publishers can run out of games in this online age. Philosophically this is a fair question. On Xbox I can cancel on a whim with no penalty and no money is taken until 10 days pre-launch, so I like to have the games (well, the game icons) I'm really looking forward to 'sitting there'. I wouldn't actually pay for a game this far out.

I already have like 20+ games waiting that I've either not yet played at all, am in the middle of playing or want to replay. I'm more than fine with new stuff being delayed a bit.

I already have like 20+ games waiting that I've either not yet played at all, am in the middle of playing or want to replay. I'm more than fine with new stuff being delayed a bit. Yeah I kind of am in a similar situation as I've got a fair backlog of games sitting in my library that I haven't either got to or want to go back to. As I want to go back to Shadow of the TR and play that to do the DLC's at some point for example and I keep meaning to finally get around to playing the Witcher series as well as I've had them in my library for quiet some time I played half of the first one thewn lost my save due to computer problems andhaven't got round to playing it since. I enjoyed what I experienced just haven't had a chance t ogo back and do a proper run. I want to but just not had the time what with other things I want to play as well. I'll get to it eventually it's just a matter of when. So yeah whilst I'm looking forward to playing the Avengers game the fact it's been delayed is probably a good thing as it gives me more time to work through other stuff. After I'm finished my current DAI playthrough I've got plans to play Everreach Project Eden and Code Vein so I'll be pretty busy with that for the next little while.
