Would you play a good Mass effect Cyber horror game that explores the scarier side of both Mass Effect and cyber horror in general? Side note: If Bioware uses my Black Talon organization that I would ask to use them as villains due to their nightmare fuel and love of cybernetics.
For example, Ryder twins faces an Rogue Pathfinder that heavily influence by their S.A.M. due to a glitch making their S.A.M. self aware and very angry at the universe and developing a borg like villain race based on the S.A.M. technology.
Conversely having the Ryder Twins learning the full extent of S.A.M. and goes creepy on us due to the merging of organic and Sythenic minds.

Call it Mass Horror. What happens is the sam voice implant causes little Ryder to change his/her personality. Then it causes massive disfiguration to the face causing little Ryder to wear a hockey mask. Throughout the game, Ryder kills everyone on the Nexus and Tempest. In the end, mother Ryder kills her kid.

i don't know. Can anything beat the cyber horror of being turned into a husk? They've got all that creepy circuitry running throughout their bodes.
Anyway, I love the Ryder Twins but if we're going with horror they're going evil via S.A.M.

Ryder twins? Who? If you think we're going to be seeing them again I'd set phasers for disappointment.

I wanna see Shep and Co. face-off against Super Tyrant (Mr X's second form) just to see ME players rage quit. It will be soooo funny! 😂

I am definitely for SAM becoming more creepy as an AI (we had a discussion about this a while ago in the MEA section, when we discussed the geth as a possibility for the Benefactor and SAM as a kind of trojan horse that let's AI integrate with organics). I do like the idea for a possible future MEA title to explore what would happen if SAM's goals and Ryder's goals no longer necessarily allign.
However, I'd be against making the entire game into some kind of cyber horror game. IMO, the reapers already gave us just about enough of that. I'd rather have the game remain similar in formnula to what we are used to and make this into a sub plot that also happens more on the inside and that deals with it in a cerebral way than just some machine-gore.
Hell, if they had some good writers, they might even be able to do something like a real indoctrination theory 2.0 game, where SAM looks like a benign entity in you head that gives you advice (and ultimately goals to fulfill, just like in the last game). You as Ryder do all of this stuff and just at the very end you find out he had a very diferent agenda all along that you unwittingly served while playing through the game. If done well, THAT would be a cool ME:A2 plotline with a final twist that could rival Revan. You know, something where you want to play the game a second time, just to find all the little signs and hints that you missed before. Given how SAM is established as your trusted primary source for info and mission goals already, they'd have the perfect setup for something like that. I am not sure if I still have enough confidence in the subtlety of BioWare's authors to be able to pull something like this off though.
