Next Witcher Game to start development immediately after CP 2077

Something like Thronebreaker, which, technically, is a Witcher game? Still haven't run into Geralt though.....

CD Projekt Red provided some comments to journalists recently. Summary of all main points:

- Cyberpunk still on track for Sep, has been submitted to age rating agencies.
- Does not expect COVID-19 to impact game development but is too early to comment on full impact.
- Reviewers will get the game weeks before the release date with embargo set for weekend prior to release.
- Pre orders for Cyberpunk higher than Witcher 3 at same point in time.
- After Cyberpunk, one team will work on add ons, another on online ver. of the game.
- A third team will work on a new single player title. 4 Year dev time assumed, high quality RPG.
- It's implied to be a Witcher game, but not specified.
- Will focus on Witcher/Cyberpunk IP's going forward.

After Cyberpunk 2077 releases, this is the focus going forward:

Team 1 - Add on content for Cyberpunk 2077
Team 2 - Multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077, planned for 2022.
Team 3 - New single player RPG, 4 year dev time, implied to be in Witcher universe.

Based on CDPR's track record, I estimate that it will release in... 2025.

I thought of giving a joke answer, probably 2028 to match the eight years between CP77's original announcement in 2012 and its presumed release this September. But realistically, I think they will take at least four years, since that was the development time for TW2 and TW3, plus some inevitable delays. So 2025 seems likely to me.
