Somehow my games don't show up in the library and that means I can't get any dlc. This thing just makes no sense. I wanted to get mods for ME3 but this thing just doesn't work.
When I try to look up dlc on Mass effect 2 in the game it sends me to "go bioware.com" and says it can't load. So what is going on? Should I just buy the dlc on origin even though my games aren't showing up

Are the games registered to your Origin account? They should show up if they are...

Having the same issue. What I can tell you is that you can launch the games directly from the locations on your PC. That worked fine for me.

Now I am trying and it has been messed up on several occasions. I never understood why people hated origin so much but I get it now.

Okay, I'll try again. Have you registered your game to your Origin account?
Origin doesn't have any more issues than any other DRM platform. A lot of users do things like this:
-- Bought a game (on disk) way back when they had an aol email account. Registered the game using that email and their parents' mailing address. -- Grew up, moved away, got a hotmail account. Bought another game (on disk) and registered it with that address and email. -- Bought another game on disk, installed it, didn't register it. Now have a gmail account and live in a different state. Complains that the Origin account they just opened doesn't recognize their games.
Is any of this familiar?
Another problem some people have is that they've bought different games at different times under multiple Origin accounts.
I bought DAO on a Steam sale and copied the Steam key to Origin. I can install and play the game using either platform. I have an older EA game on a disk (never registered) that wore out - but since I kept the original packaging (with the CD key), I was able to register it to my Origin account and use it that way. I bought several ME DLCs (BioWare points, actually) through amazon and copied the keys into Origin.
Unless you actually bought a game through Origin, you need to input the CD key into Origin to register it to that account.

Origin was having issues, making it very challenging to launch a game … unless you know how to do what dmc said.
At least in my area, it was fixed just now (it was down several hours) … they may be at low manning levels due to COVID-19, delaying things.
OP … CTRL-R … refresh your Origin page, your library may now show up … mine did … but there may be a regional flavor to service restoration.

Yeah I didn' thave any issues playing Fifa yestreday so I don't know. Other than the usual PC issues I've been having anyway but that's nothing to do with Origin.

I think there was a a DDoS attack yesterday against the EA servers so that could have been your problem. If you are still having issues use the chat support for unlike Steam I found them to be competent and helpful. There might also be a faux DDoS attack right now with the amount of people trying to use online services and just the number of people trying to play a game is causing the servers to react as if it was a DDoS attack. I haven't had any issues with Origin recently, but I didn't try playing anything yesterday.
As far as DLC for Mass Effect 2 they haven't patched the game in years so it would take you to the old store because that is how you used to buy it. You just need to have the same email address for the forums and your account for it to register.

I originally had ME1 and ME2 on Steam. If Steam went down for some reason it would be the same problem.

I'd check but I'm too busy reinstalling ME2 (removed absolutely every trace of it from my PC) because I've been having non-stop crash issues on the Archangel mission.

Not if they were pre-origin and/or made by studios prior to EA owning them. That's been one of the difficulties inherent in the transition to any DRM platform. People own games they registered with different identification information before Origin ever existed, and/or before the developing studio was purchased by EA. Some people never registered the games they bought on disk, but no longer have the packaging (or the keys). And some have multiple accounts - they'll open an account to play a particular game, forget about it, time passes, buy another game and open another account. Sorting through those has been challenging for a lot of people. But yeah, if you have your account sorted, you can change user information anytime.
