I already do. Unless more concrete information comes along I'm treating it as nothing more than a thought exercise.

I have seen people saying it wasn't regarding EA Play, but N7 day in November that it was going to be announced.  When N7 Day rolls around it will have been pointed to the EA event that happens with E3 2021 and so on.

For me I have never really believed the article it didn't even feel like they tried they just threw random words together with Mass Effect and got the uptick in clicks they wanted.

If it's going to be a fall release, it would have to be announced and released on the same day. The only time, in recent memory, that had happened with an EA game, was with Apex legends. And it made sense for Apex Legends, because it was a f2p online only game, that was marketed by streamers, on release day, because it was a battle royale game. It doesn't make sense for ME to get that marketing treatment. Especially with the release of new consoles and launch games for those consoles.

As you've accurately pointed out, they're delusional, at the very least. But ... N7 day would be a good day to announce a proper Remake for the ME trilogy. Not a remaster, a remake, that treads new ground, while keeping everything that was liked from the original. Like keeping the characters and the cast behind the characters, adding cut content and, since we would sell it as a single pack, all three games, developing them with gated content, because of those choices. To be released in 2026-7, 2-3 years after the release of DA4, giving it ample time to be developed.

If it's coming this fall there's plenty of time to announce and release the game between September and December, would be nice if it releases in November 7 but that's unlikely because it's a saturday.

A lot of the events are online so it's not a problem.

It is really strange the way they've handled this tbh. 

Not yet, I'd start a new thread for an official announcement. But with both Jeff and Shinobi saying it's coming, it's just a question of when. And as Shinobi says, we should hear about it before November.

 

You know what my biggest fear of a potential remaster is? That EA completely stops providing the games, as they exist, through any platform and forces you to buy the remaster, if you want to play them again, like Blizzard did with WC3. Not only that, but the remaster uses Origin, which tanks performance, breaks all the mods, because they are incompatible with the new versions of the games and it introduces more bugs than fixes.

I'm afraid it will do more damage than good and EA is free to do so. It's their games, we just own a license.
