That is technically correct of course, but I am not entirely convinced that anything that painful to watch should be called "playing" . Watch a FCK game and then we'll talk about "painful to watch" again Ouch. Then the pain I feel pales in comparison to yours . Not a good start this weekend, but they should be recovering - good luck for the season .

I'm an Arsenal fan which means I have nothing to look forward to this year. Once Wenger goes I might be a bit more positive

I support France and Holland national teams and Arsenal. Despite being a gooner, I actually like Tottenham. I am neither Englishman nor Londoner so I don't have all this background of a century of mutual hate. I just really love North London derby, it was the main reason I started watching EPL in the first place, and I grew to like both teams because of it. Liverpool - Manchester United might be the greatest derby in the world, but Arsenal - Tottenham is the greatest derby in England

Holy shit, this men brazilian team is a fucking embarrassment. I cannot fathom on how they managed to tie the game against Iraq, a fucking semi-professional team, with Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Gabigol and other good talents on the squad.
Jesus.
We're really turning into the english national team.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm not calling a sport where the feet of the players rarely make contact with an object which doesn't even resemble a ball in any shape of form football.Let me suggest American Rugby - it fits well enough... Hey hey now, we're all Americans here. No need to get so resentful of success! I suppose you're going to lecture me on the benefits of the metric system over the imperial system too? Like why meters are better than yards? Actually, metric system has kickass definitions like that one metre = the distance light travels in aprox. 3,3 -9 seconds in a vacuum. That's pretty cool - and accurate. Whereas a yard is... I forget, is it like the length of Henry I arm or something? But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree

That's pretty cool - and accurate. Whereas a yard is... I forget, is it like the length of Henry I arm or something? But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree That's not the original definition or measure of meter, but a corrective and more refined definition from which metric system gradually changed to SI. The same treatment could be done to yards as well, but instead most likely due practical reasons the exact measurement of yard is tied to SI instead of c. Both systems are almost equally artificial and anthropocentric, and both could be tied up to physical constants, and reasons why one is and another isn't is due historical reasons and not the measure system itself. SI / metric system is superior because it's standardized (the original reason why it was implemented), and universal in sense that it's not based on any particular culture or tradition, and nowadays it's so widely established in all fields of life. Sure it was very sciency back in pre-20th century times (like original meter was about one ten-millionth of the distance from the equator to the North Pole). "Imperial system" is more intuitive and little less cognitive taxing, but historically it was pure chaos before metric system, because different countries, regions, cities, etc had their own measurements, and there wasn't technically any singular system to speak of. Planck units are way to go, If you want to use really sciency and truly natural unit of measurement. Otherwise it's more question of standardization and universalism versus diversity and tradition rather than anything else.

While the window is still open, Arsenal's transfer dealings yet again look to be outright embarrassing for a supposed "top" club, especially compared to other big clubs in the PL. FFS, look at the players that both Manchester clubs are bringing in and the money they're spending, and United can't even offer Champion's League football but still manage to get absolute top class players. Arsenal will never be a true title contender again as long as Wenger is around.

Which is fockin shame if you ask me. Arsenal needs a top centreback, a top left fullback (cuz Nacho stinks-- no pun intended lol) and someone who can actually score on a regular basis instead of Giroud.

I haven't watched football in a really long time but I used to for several years and especially with my mom who's an absolute fanatic lol. I've just been occupied with other things but I would still love to sit down with beer and snack and enjoy a good match with good company. I live in Denmark and other than my own country, my favourites were Roma, juventus and Arsenal

Is it wrong thats I hope we get smashed by Liverpool just so Wenger can get off his ass and buy some players? We desperately need another CB, Winger and at least 1 striker. Probably need another RB as cover for Bellerin. I'm not convinced on Xaha either, he looks like a slightly better version of Gareth Barry (which is not a good thing!). Dont get me started on Giroud either!

He'll fit right in, it's like he's already been at the club for years! I think Giroud gets a bit too much shit for being, well, shit. But he's still just not in any way good enough to be a first-choice striker for a club with any serious ambitions to win the PL, let alone the CL. If I had my way I'd definitely prioritize the striker and CB before leaving getting a new winger for last unless they're getting close to luring Mahrez over after all shortly. The Mustafi deal is pretty much done, yes?

The Mustafi deal is pretty much done, yes? Yeah I'm not sure why we bought Xaha in the first place, CM is our strongest position, is Xaha an improvement on any of our current options (Coq,Elneny,Cazorla,Ramsey and Wilshere) from what I have seen so far the answer would be no. I'm not even sure what his role would be in the team, he's not particularity good at distributing the ball and he seems to get bypassed far too easily to be a DM. The guy always looks like he's running through mud which is dangerous in the PL with so many quick and skillful players around. As for Giroud...Well he needs to be taken out back and shot. It would be the humane thing to do after all. Wenger already experimented with trying to get any old slob off the street and attempting to transform them to a professional player (Remember Bendtner?). Wenger has humoured us with Giroud for long enough now, even poor old Oliver knows he has no place on the pitch. When Phil Jones can crawl faster than you and headbutt the ball away you know you have issues Not sure what is happening with Mustafi, there are conflicting stories about him (some say were close to getting him while other say the deal is off). We definitely need a striker but I would settle for Mustafi and Mahrez now and hope that we get a striker in January. Mahrez gets a lot of goals for Leicester so you would imagine that having Sanchez and Ozil in the same team would allow him to score even more. It's so typical of Arsenal that we leave things to the last minute, even if we do get some players in they wont have had a preseason with us and likely not be ready to start games for a couple of weeks. The sooner Wenger goes the better!
