Looks like their going with the Origins look for Red Lyrium instead of Inquisition's generic crystals. Maybe this time they can actually follow through with Red Lyrium being a threat that isn't a pointless backdrop prop. Inquisition's lyrium aren't 'generic crystals' They look like giant monstrous glowing blood clots and veins deep underground look like... well, veins. Appropriate, given what we know about them at this point in time. Also, I don't think that they have returned to Origins style per se. To me, those aren't really crystals but organic mass with crystalline structures inside, kinda like Red Templars. And they look like a bit more twisted aerial roots of swamp-dwelling mangrove trees. So I think it's more that Red lyrium appears to have infected plants en masse (pay attention to also all the non-glowy, dead-looking and gnarly mass of roots and branches we see there as well), and especially roots (one culture in particular is associated with plants and especially biiiiiiiig trees - ancient elves).

I'm leaning towards corrupted Titan here That would be...bad...right? It could also be a revamped (or new kind of) node that you have to destroy.

At the bottom loff the gate or archway they look like eggs and from a distance the arch appears covered with growth. Maybe red Librium spiders or a brood mother’s.

Is it just me, or do none of these images really say "Tevinter?" The first one shows light snow falling, but Tevinter as I understand it has a pretty warm climate (except for high mountain areas). And the second two feature ruins that look an awful lot like what we saw in Orlais. None of that architecture looks much like I imagine Tevinter architecture to look.

The snow falling in this image reminded me that BW experimented with seasonal changes tech during the early development of Anthem. Could this be the gen where they make it happen? I'd certainly appreciate that, although to be honest, I'd be fairly happy with a day-night cycle, even without the seasonal changes. The fact that they don't have to release the game on old hardware (I think), and not right as the new gen comes out, might help them. I think BioWare got burned by having to go cross generational with Inquisition, so not releasing until a year or more after the release of the new consoles should prevent that problem again. I never say BioWare is mistake free, but at least with my problems with their games they seem to be trying to improve from game to game.

I guess these images are better than nothing, although after 1.5 years since the first tease, it isn't exactly much. Here's hoping we don't go another 1.5 years until the next image. I'm sure even if the main story is dark, there will be a lot of light moments in the side quests and companion content. I agree, I don't think they will take the same approach as Naughty Dog has by just trying to crush you to the point you want to stop playing the game. My guess is there will be areas that have darker tones and elements and areas that are lighter in tone. For me the entire area around the Brood Mother wasn't the lightest of tones so there is that history in the Dragon Age games.

I think that Dragon Age as a whole is already quite dark. I'd say that DA4 might be visually darker, but not necessarily that much darker overall then the other games. The major difference for Dragon Age that it has a TON of humor to balance it out where some dark games just wallow in despair.

I suppose it could be outside Minrathous. I guess it just doesn't look like the style I would expect for Tevinter.
Maybe part of collapsed Arlathan? Now that would be amazing.
As for the Eluvians, I thought the implication of Trespasser was that Solas now controls the network. I don't think he'd really be up for allowing us to use them much. Unless we're able to wrench control back for some of them, as the Qunari did.

Do you like the shiny? And yeah, with the creepy beating heart I'm leaning towards corrupted Titan here as well. The buildings in the background don't look Dwarven like the ones in descent. Seems odd surroundings to be around a titans heart, though i suppose it might be corrupted because some elves moved in or stole it. Maybe those ruins are on the surface, and this is something created by the red lyrium idol? It turned Meredith to lyrium, perhaps it can make more complex constructs? Or they are the ripped apart building pieces you see in the fade? There is blight in the Black City. It could be in the form of red lyrium.

Jeez you can't tell anything about where the keep being corrupted by blight and red lyrium is because the only thing in its background is cloudy sky and even more keep. It's a freaking huge keep mind. I worried that it might be weisshaupt for a moment but the foreground seems partially flooded and overgrown/swampy, and the Anderfels is an arid place.
