If you are playing PC version, there are some mods on Nexus that can actually save you sometime. One of them is jumping mod. I usually jump through the hills such that I don't need to go far far around just to find the right path to go up the hills. There is another mod that deal with Shards, it can 1) greatly reduce the number of shards required to open per each door. 1 for the 1st door, 2 for 2nd and 3 for the 3rd door. 2) You can choose whether to retain the same number of shards on each map such that you can collect all of the required shards or it greatly reduced the number of shards required to collect per each map. This does help to reduce the "check-list" need to fill-in per each area. Yeah I'm familiar with both mods, and I admit I've been tempted. But once again it's another thing I just can't bring myself to go down that route. I very rarely use mods that affect actual core gampelay, combat etc. as they make me feel like I'm winning by cheating. The only (I guess) 'cheat mod' I use is in DA:O and it's the respec mod, but I justify it to myself on the grounds that Bioware's default party builds are horribly sub-optimal and I love to have absolute control over how I build my party and the skills they use.

Yeah that's why I don' tuse mods like thatas it feels like cheating. It's als owhy I don't reall yuse the golden nug anymoer as that feels a bit like a cheat too. I find i tfar moer satisfying to either make wha tyou need ou tof any schematics and materials you find in the game. Or loot and byu it if you don' t wantto craft it. Admittedly it does mean moer work but it is more satisfying.

Well...I do love mods, but I restrain myself from using any "god-mode" mods. Around 90% of mods I have installed are bug fixing, cosmetic one. The unoffical fix pack that fixes bugs Bioware even don't bother to fix. The hairstyle mods to replace the original hideous hairs with better one. Enhanced character creator that allows me to do more facial feature tweaks on my characters. Removal of spiderweb in Skyhold Library. Removal of annoying visual effects like the Elusive, restoration potions, the sparkling while drinking healing potions, searching visuals, etc. Replace the appearance of medium armors for dwarf male with Varric's one. Greatly reduce the number of shards that need to find per each map and unlock the temple door. Even I have used the configurable weapons/armors mod just because I love the appearance of some weapons/armors but they are in lower tier. So I config my own one. And the jumping mod! that allow me to jump to terrance and cliffs that are normally unreachable. The only "cheating" mods I have used are the "Prologue - more loot" one and unlimited crafting materials. May be I do not play it right, I am fine with the equipment of prologue in normal difficulties. However, when I play with a SnS warrior in nightmare difficulties, even Cassandra get crushed by the Pride Demon within 3 hits. I have to retry several times in order to get past it. I install the mod and hope with a little more tier 1 gears found in the way will help me get past it. I use unlimited crafting materials as I find the color of tier 1 materials are really dull. I install the mod such that I can craft the armor with more color varieties.

Back to the original topics. The number of playthrough I have played on DA series
DAO: 1 completed and 3-4 unfinished. I have only finished the Ultimate Sacrifice Ending. However, due to some real life crisis, I am not able to finish the rest of the playthroughs. Worst still, changing labtops lead to my previous save being lost. I will play it again once I have get passed the obstacles of out-dated graphics.
DA2: 0.6 To me, DA2 is everything that goes wrong. Copy-n-paste area design really gets me bored. No matter how hard the dialogue try to emphasize how important Hawk is, he is just a poor soul who is harrassed and f- up by the plots. He is just a tool that being "used" to push the plots/events forward. I get pissed off by the arrangement of Ander's mass massacre (another tool being twisted against his original character) and I quit the game.
DAI: 3 completed, 4 playthrough on the way and a lot of characters created just for playing with character creator Though DAI is not perfect, the number of abilities are restricted and specialization are reduced that leads to less flexibility for character builds. The fetch quests and side quests does not have any effect at all. The graphics is still good in these days and I prefer the plot lines more. We can have the Inquisitor to stand up and fix the shit of the world.
I am not much of a fan of sci-fi game so I haven't played ME series before. I have purchased the Legendary edition on last Steam sales, I will give it a try.

DA:O - I think 5 that I actually finished.
DA 2 - 1
DA:I - 1, so far. I had a second I hadn't finished, but since it had been 7 years, I decided I'd start over when I installed it a few days ago.

I've played DAO maybe 4 or 5 times
DA2 I've played the least, probably 2 or 3 complete playthroughs
DAI I've played by far the most, I've honestly lost count but its probably in the 10-20 range. Really love that game.

Really love that game. Yeah DAO and DA2 are probably equal for me DAI I often pick up and pla ywith a rsndom world state without playing the other 2. I do enjoy all 3 though . I think it's more I prefer the more action focus part of DAI compaered with the othe rgames and the graphics are stll beautiful even by todays standards. In fact started a new DAI run a few days ago though no tsue rif I'll complete it or not but mostly I'll be ding a little bit her and a little bi tthere I'm not focusing on it like I would if it's a proper run. As I w askind o fpu tin the mood for playing again by watchin gtrailers fo rthe new game Forspoken.

Whoever they had doing the art and graphic design for that game did a fantastic job.
