Hey guys,
How would you rate the state of those games today? I played them all a while ago and I am thinking to return to one of them.
Any idea how are they in terms of popularity and player base as of now?
---
So far those are my views,
Anthem - pretty nice full online experience with updated features, gameplay etc... But not much to do after a while (a point which I reached before quitting). I know they added some new Cataclysm events in the open world and adjusted the loot system but I think that was about it?
ME3 - Has The oldest engine, I also remember each match had quite a lot of waves which could become tiresome. But on the other hand this game has a lot of content, maps, characters, weapons and a "loot box" system to keep you engaged (not that I like loot boxes but yeah...).
ME:Andromeda - Feels a bit better in terms of gameplay but has less content then ME:3. I also remember right before I quit, they added something which I didnt like . I cant recall exactly but I think they just duplicated a whole lot of items with some minor difference to keep the grind going which hurt the whole grind cycle pretty badly for those who were not on the top already?

#1 MEAMP - Even moving in this game is just pure joy, the "duplicate items" are VERY useful except Bulwark on gold/platinum but most of then 'me3 vetarans' didnt understand this and even then shorter grind than in me3. Shorter amount of waves is a massive plus. Player base been solid here in north Europe for whole life of the game, now even more players because of Steam I guess. Has fast action and excitement against the hordes. Balancing is very good (I started another character from 0 this year and the difference to beginning in 2017 was large!). #2 DAIMP - Has some of the me3 fuckups like pauses between actions and massive grind to get actually good levels, but is 'more social' than both ME games because of actions one can do. #3 Anthem - Enjoy a lot the combat and flying, the missions as more complex than other BioWare mp's they are, became more chore quickly but I still dab into the game with random players. More social, can use ROBOT VOICE too ... #veryfaraway me3mp - pauses between actions, sudden ridiculous fast movements for example grab, bad movement overall and barely OK Single Player combat in MP ruins the game, with massive grind for UR's, second to DAIMP though. Game seems to be dead here for two years now, month or so ago I couldnt find anyone and soloed a bit before alt-F4. - some quick thoughts

I love ME3MP, but the controls are inferior to MEAMP and Anthem … yet close enough that it causes muscle memory issues when I do stuff … it's that confusion that has mostly caused me to stop playing. DA … all three games are different enough in their controls, that this is mostly not an issue when switching back and forth between DA games and ME games.
What MEA lacks are the numbers of maps and additional faction that eventually existed in ME3MP. If support for MEA had not been cut short, it probably would have been fleshed out. Bulwark weapons are garbage, but the siphon and concussive weapons are used exclusively at this point … I never touch a base weapon any more. I find MEAMP a continued source of fun and the player base on PC seems to remain strong … short term, maybe the best bet.
As far as Anthem is concerned, I don't care for the "Legendary World Events" … there are variants, but 90% that populate are the same match, with a giant bullet sponge boss at the end … it's just tedious and it's hard to get others to join in the match. The Cataclysm was too long and the truncated version that exists in rotation has a very limited reward, too many players have no clue how to play it … it can be tough getting a lobby filled on GM3 … a lot of work went into the development, but overall, I think it was a miss.
What I do a lot of, besides the seasonal strongholds is the "Quickplay" random missions … lots of variety, lots of different teammates … and you can almost always find a match on GM3 … some very limited dead spots at certain times of the day. The seasonal strongholds are fun … and popular enough that experienced players can show new folks some of the ins and outs … plus the rewards are better than a regular stronghold and the cataclysm … without the tedious length of the 7 event + Vara cat.
Overall, check out Anthem … it has changed a lot from when you last played … but you might also consider holding off until the game gets updated. That's still months away, but they are making progress … new maps, new factions, new weapons (plus revamped weapons) and a very different end game/loot and reward system (to include taking inscriptions off a weapon or gear and applying it to a weapon/gear at the same level and same type).
