Is just saw a romance cutscene and that was Baldur's Gate 3 EA level of . Arms going through the head kind of stuff. The game probably needed a few more weeks in polishing. Yeah I am having some graphics issues where the scene sort of gets a red and blue tone washed through everything, maybe my brightness is too high. The game gave me an option to chnage it at the start but I cannot find it now. Does wnyone know where it is in the settings? ALSO HOW THE HELL DO YOU DISMOUNT THE HORSE!!!!!! Dismount could be C or F.

Having a few issues, game keeps making the noise that indicates going in and out of combat all the time.
I keep running out of arrows do you get to craft them at some stage?

Besides, it's silly, considering the historical period the game is set in. Not craft your own arrows?! Edit. I've to admit I've gotten both ends of the ship mixed up. I thought that since Eivor is standing at one end, that must be the bow but the directional keys were not going where they're supposed to go. It's not until the sail went up that I realised she's standing at the stern.

It seems that once you are in England, upgrading the Trading Post to carry them is the most efficient way to go at it. That and upgrading your quiver to carry a lots of them.

So while I have not obviously gotten the game been following along with the Rad Brad as he is been playing the game and pretty much got through the prologue an d then he is doing the ledechistire arc...and I butchered that word...anyways I have...thoughts: So my knowledge of the timeline is not exactly perfect so I was trying to get a little thrown for a loop going on and figuring out what was going on and who. Even in the 9th century I see they are still called 'the Order of the Ancients' and the Assassins are the 'Hidden Ones'. I am also uber surprised just how many targets there are in this game. For some reason I was under the impression that this would not be as much of a focus in this game...and with I think Jor mentioned 45 targets it seems I was wrong. . though seems they also combined the mercs and the Cult of Kosmos from last game basically into the same tab so it will remain to be seen how many of these targets actually has a quest associated with them. I am getting an uber sense of corruption vs...well non corruption in this game. It was not exactly a good look to have our protagonists get kicked out of Scandanavia for horrible reasons or forced to flee. While I do understand their perspective, having a new leader rise up to claim your land is not always a comfortable subject...Eivor and Sigurd make no bones about taking other people's lands from other people. Of course I suspect that this might be the point. Speaking of corruption though getting mega vibes of that from the little we saw out of Layla. Her look, her demeanor, her smoking, her looking at the Staff of Hermes with a very foreboding air, almost like she resented the thing and it was like looking back at her... yea. And of course I also can't help but think that Basim and the Hidden Ones don't have an ulterior motive themselves in all this, I mean stop the Order, keep the world free...nice objectives...but I know the Assassins have not always been on the up and up themselves and the look that passed between Basim and Sigourd before the former suggest they head for England was...interesting to say the least. And then there is Valka's prophecy so yeah...I suspect that Eivor could become more and more disillusioned by things and have to fight against corruption going on in their own ranks. Of course the big questions is can this game's limited role playing, which does seem maybe a tad better then Odyssey's...does these things justice. Other than that I couldn't be happier with what I have seen out of it, the levelling system looks pretty much a step in the right direction as does the gear system.

Right now Eivor is back home but I'm hunting and mining for mats. It'll be a rinse and repeat for a new PT of course. I suppose NG+ would pop a year later. Did a bit of the word thing which gave Eivor charisma +2 and earned some silver from the drinking compeition. Took me three attempts.

I have the beserker gear I got from the DLC and was upgrading but wondering if it's better to hang on to my materials till later. Just killed that Dregnir guy in the cave, was a tough fight and didn't expect it at this stage. Found Evind but went to the place where his commander is yelling for him, journal doesn't have a quest so assume it is finished.

Bit of an addendum my wife put on pt 9 but I just wanted to add to my previous post, I think Ubisoft could have something really special on their hands. More I see of this game more am legitimately hyped. If they can pull off the story themes I am noticing, if the RP can hold ope, if the combat feels good...which is something no vid can truly tell you.

No, I'm gathering all the mats I can get at home base and increase arrow number. I think they respawn after a period of time as well because I landed on the big land next to the starter and explored a bit. I got the mats at the shore, went inland for about 30 minutes, came back and they've respawned. I'm not upgrading armour. Besides, it seems increasing armour lowers hp unless I'm reading it wrong. Edit. The puffins are cute.

I hate that FRAPS isn't working I can't take screenshots. Yes the Puffins are cute, may have killed a few.

I thought the density of the contrast too white and tried to adjust it to no avail until I recalled if I put it to borderless, it becomes "whiteout". I switched to fullscreen and it's better. The image was taken before the adjustment and the tattoos. I opted for the one that's on one side of the face and I left Eivor as a ashy blond. The new chest tattoo looks awful; all red and who knows what. I chose the first one. The second looks as though it's outlining her ribs. Image is taken with bandicam. I don't know why but there's a mini menu listing on the lower right if I use photo mode and I don't know how to get rid of it.

Rage of Helheim ability is absolutely unusable. It just wastes adrenaline with zero effect. No matter how far or close I am to the enemy, Eivor just makes one step and that's it. Even alternating the two buttons in the description, the effect is the same.
Anyone figured it out?

I'm trying to do the lost drengr at home base but I can't get past the second entrance. I watched a few YTs and those players simply jumped in? Every time I try to go past, it's as though an invisible wall is blocking Eivor. Is there a specific quest for lost drengr?
Edit. Nvm. Should have looked it up first. Lost Drengr is apparently a collectible quest. For the first one at home base, the player's power must be at least 50 so I can just forget about this collectible until much much later.

Is this the one in the cave near the first home base? I just remember trying to get to him was a pain in the butt but I eventually found my way through 3 or for of those cracks like in Odyssey. Then getting out I had my third glitch where Eivor got stuck inside what should be a solid object. That needs to stop, I hate losing progress because of that shit.

So finished for the day and haven't left the starting area yet. Cleared a lot of stuff from the map and having no trouble with combat except for what I assume is the first Drengir fight which was unexpected in terms of the guys health bar but not too difficult as I am playing on Easy. I always do fist time through, just want to enjoy the game not get the shits with combat. THat being said my biggest issues ATM is like Odyssey it seems to be forcing a lot of melee on you early on. I have just accepted it and am using armour and have progressed my skill tree to favour damage and armour etc. Just got the Hidden Blade and made my first stealth kill with but am hoping ffrom here on in I can focus more on stealth and assassinating peole rather that using the bow and then having to melee because of lack of arrows. Overall really enjoying the story and setting but too much climbing trying to find resources which are way too scarce. SO much trouble getting three sets of Antler horns for example and lack of damn deer or whatever they are with horns in the first place, My biggest complain is why the hell did they switch up so many of the keys to do things on KB&M? It was so much simpler in Odyssey and tomorrow will look at rebinding stuff. IS ANYONE ELSE USING FRAPS? I cannot get it to work at all it is killing my enjoyment TBH, I love just hitting F12 and taking rand om screenshots and not having to go through the whole Photomode thing. Guessing the FRAPS people will have to fix it. Does anyone use other software like FRAPS that works? A few Pics

I was so over confident after killing a few then got ganked by 4 or 5 of the damn things in that exact spot!!!! I saw one and went yep will kill that and then suddenly there were heaps. One of my complaints is that Odin Sight does not highlight the animals like it does enemies, either that or I am having a glitch. I also wish it'd highlight resources as I am finding the Raven a bit of a pain.

I got one after killing 15 elks. Even on an island with several of them I got no luck.

I wasted half an hour ranging around an area where i had killed a few waiting for them to respawn and ended up with one set (first kill) after killing definitely more than fifteen. The damn Raven every time you launch it always fly's in the opposite damn direction. I hate how you can't tag enemies anymore and it seems to me that enemies seem to just appear even though I have used the Raven and Odin's sight.

There're three sets; Raven (which you get in the beginning), Bear and Wolf. Each has a specific boost to certain skills I believe. On the one hand, if you don't do some upgrades, it's going to cost you a bit in fights. On the other hand, you want to keep as much as possible for that one set of armour. It's hard to tell at this point. Btw, you can tag enemies except you're limited to three. I think tagging is shared so if you tag three locations, you lose them if you tag something else. It's no longer a free hand with tagging.
