Ah yes, flaming people who interpret things differently than you, is still cool. Is it still cool? Glad you enjoy the suffering of others, strange sadistic behavior in my opinion with a dash of 13 year old. I just find it funny how people argue over something over as simple as a video game. 9 years later. FYI, I didn't and still don't like how ME3 ended. More than that, is how lacking in foresight that ending was. Besides ruining Shepard, making a joke of an antagonist in Kailo Reng or whatever his name was, the sidelining of the Reapers and half the ME2 crew, that people actually loved, to do all these side thing that nobody really cared for.

I have the faintest of hopes that they might, if they decide they like money more than some misplaced sense of pride, but as soon as that is proven wrong, me and my wallet will be out of Bioware's hands. I'll probably be better off giving my money to some SFM animator

It seems the problem you have is about the general concept of a remaster, which is fair. But considering how the full industry embraced this approach over the years, it’d be naive to expect EA, of all companies, to release a free update to make the game compatible for new consoles. Not to mention that in terms of costs, it’s still three games for the price of one.

It's just a quick cash grab. Nothing more nothing less. I only half agree. They're a corporation so they're in the business of making money. But the remaster is not for us Bioware veterans...though plenty of us will get it...it's to bring in a new generation of gamers. From the standpoint of the latter 3 games visually enhanced plus all the DLC's is not a bad deal for 60$.

Not to mention that in terms of costs, it’s still three games for the price of one. I perfectly understand why Bioware and EA would do it. I just think that it gives people the wrong impression, especially when paired up with the ME5 trailer. And I like it even less when they don't come clean about it. I find it dishonest and manipulative. I also find it hilarious how we were told that we should forget about the trilogy and its crew, because it's over, only for Bioware to dredge it back up when they need to buy some good will from the fans. The message to the fans is very clear that they are bringing the trilogy crew back and not just for the remaster. Only that message is false. And I am sure that Bioware will claim that this was squarely on us and we only saw what we wanted to see, but their actions do clearly favour one interpretation over the other, for the greater public. And Bioware is not exactly discouraging it, because it suits them right now. Which is only going to make things worse when they make the reveal about what ME5 is really about. It is dishonest, shortsighted and misguided.

Jessica Chastain would have been a better choice for Shepard, but I get it. Henry Cavill will be great as dudeShep, and if this actually pans out he has the draw for this movie/series to do pretty well. Plus, he's easy on the eyes and a good actor. Also in the eyes of Hollywood he gets free Nerd Points because he's constantly talking about playing video games in interviews.

and what exactly is it about? If it was simply Andromeda 2, then thats the worst trailer of all time, in the history of anything. Not exactly MEA2, but more of a side sequel to MEA. You could make the argument that it could be just as much a sequel to ME3. Sure, if ME3 was all about Liara, I'd perhaps be all about that interpretation. But it wasn't and even so, I don't particularly care enough about Liara, to follow her around ¬600 years later with whatever new batch of Joss Whedon's rejects Bioware comes up with this time. I know what I like and I know what I am guaranteed to like. I gave Bioware a chance with DA2, ToR, ME3 and DA:I. And 2025, or 2027 more likely, is far too late to "give a chance" to Will Continue. My investment with the franchise is hanging by a thread and Bioware has a scissor around it.

Had an interesting thought for this thread today, hopefully steer it back a little to the OP.
Martin Sheen is a stellar actor. He is also, now, pretty damned old. Not to act, hell no. But to physically be The Illusive Man? I don't think so, not how I see that character.
So, if SuperSheploo hits the screen, ready to superman that Tela Vasir, who will play TIM to run Miranda (who could that be, as Yvonne is likely out and a natural brunette makes better sense) and Jacob.
For Jacob, give me Billy Brown, aka Zez Kai El. Smooth voice, great actor, can physically perform the role and make Jacob interesting.
Miranda - Aubrey Plaza could bitch it up, and make it funny. Especially if Jack is on board. If we want a more "dramatic" actor, perhaps Zoe Saldana or Mila Kunis.
I won't take everyone, but already I am focusing on a ME2 movie, and TIM is the boss. How about Mads?

You know they're just going to get Margot Robbie because she's a trooper and Australian. And Idris Elba will be Anderson. And Jack will definitely be race swapped to be black. Alexandra Shipp most likely.

I would not be mad at Margot Robbie, but I was hoping for someone with maybe better comedy skills. If this is a real serious take I'll be surprised, it should play up the interrupts not the regular dialog, and they should have fun with it. Jack's voice is pretty obviously white chick, that would be a hard no for me but lol modern casting is a disaster. The only way to make everyone happy, is to apparently make nobody happy.

[Rumor] Mass Effect series in development for Netflix
The editors of Thathashtagshow reveal very interesting details about Netflix’s plans – the platform was to receive a chance to develop the BioWare universe and work is underway on the animated series “Mass Effect”.
The creators are said to provide an original story that will take place in parallel with the adventure of Commander Shepard from the original trilogy. The hero of the BioWare series is reportedly not to appear in this story, but during the events we can meet well-known side characters and companions.
“The new story will focus on an Alliance military agent investigating acts of terrorism across the galaxy.”
The situation, however, is very interesting, because “Mass Effect” will apparently not be an ordinary series . The authors are to focus on an interactive adventure, so at the beginning the viewers / players will choose the gender, appearance and class of the character, and during the story we have to make many difficult decisions that will affect the events.
As you know, Netflix already has similar interactive projects, but you have to admit that this form really fits “Mass Effect”. According to the journalist – the platform even took care of the possibility of transferring records (elections) between episodes, so that players could continue their story.
Series creator talked about the canceled movie and offered ideas for a TV project
Mac Walters, writer for BioWare and creative of Mass Effect , was in an interview with Business Insider and in it he took the opportunity to talk about the film that of the series that came to be in plans with Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. at the beginning of the decade last , which was very promising and did not materialize.
Something very interesting that the creative commented is that he considers that the adaptation would work much better as a TV series than as a movie. This is what Walters believes so because of the vastness of the series and the way in chapters that would suit the possible adaptation very well, which would give more time to tell the story or several stories compared to the 90 to 120 minutes of a movie.
“When we develop a Mass Effect game , we have a skeleton or a general story that we want to tell, but each level or mission is like its own TV episode. It is not written ahead of time. It is written when we get to it. So it adds to the main story and sometimes the main story is adjusted because we did something really cool in that ‘episode.’ So the long-style narrative is a great place for video game franchises, “commented Walters.
