Okay, I chose to recruit Loghain and keep Alistair as king. However, it seems to ghost of Alistair continues to haunt us. I went to Redcliffe as the final onslaught begins. When they take us to Arl Eamon, everyone addresses Alistair rather than Loghain and we hear Alistair's voice. The same when we go to get the big lecture from Riordan.
Is this common? Did I do something wrong or did BW screw up? Or did one of my mods mess with things?

Arghh!!! Problems just got worse. After rejecting Morrigan's DR, I see the cut scene of people heading to battle, then I see the PC with Riordan and Arl Eamon on what appears to be a ridge. No one can move; I can click on Eamon or Riordan and hear their default line at Redcliffe castle but nothing else. The game does not advance.
I've never had this problem before and I never recruited Loghain before. Are the two connected? Any console commands to let you jump to next scene?

I've always recruited Loghain and this never happened to me. I've never saw anyone that had this problem so my guess is that it's probably because of a mod. Which ones do you have?

Quite a number....though none of them caused problems before. Dragon Age Redesigned is the biggest and that never seems to cause problems. A bunch of bug fix mods. And most recently, one that provides you with a concept art mage robe and another two to make Leliana look as she did in the Sacred Ashes trailer. Now when you've chosen Loghain, did you ever have the problem of people still acting like Alistair was there? What kind of mod do you think would actually break the game?

No. All the characters I've created recruited Loghain and the companions never referred to him as Alistair. None of those mods seem to cause issues. I have a couple of them installed. Maybe if you replay that part when you get to Redcliffe it will be solved and this was just a very weird bug.

Just replayed going to Redcliffe, this time with the team (including Loghaine) that I want to take against the AD. No difference. You see Loghain's face and hear Alistair's voice. Eamon acts as if Alistair's there, not Loghain. Arghh!!! I suppose I should see what happens when I reject the DR again. Any console commands that could help?

I tried it all yet a third time; still Alistair's voice and everyone acts like Alistair, not Loghain is in the room. Even in the DR discussion, Morrigan refers to Alistair sleeping with her. If I agree, I go to Loghain and find I can't talk about the subject with him. This is really annoying. No technical issues previously during the PT. Now, towards the end, I've hit a brick wall! Suggestions anyone? I put a trouble ticket in at EA for whatever that's worth...

I don't know how to set the plot flags your missing, but if it's stopping you from continuing with the game, you could try the following. Make a hard save. Then in the console type runscript zz_cli_debug Then 2 set all wide open world plots to be done (so climax is clear to trigger) Then tilde up arrow & enter again Then 3 Jump to area Then 3 Jump to Denerim Then 1 Start at city gates Then 2 & pick which armies you recruited. Then Morrigan will come a do the dark ritual with your Warden, regardless of your sex, then you will be at the city gates.

It left me without Loghain and only the voice of Alistair and, of course, no Morrigan since I plugged in the command after rejecting the dark ritual. As far as plot flags go, I had done all the major quest with only a couple of minor quests left undone.

Well you could add Loghain with runscript zz_addparty loghain But it would just move the problem further on, the game seems to think Alister is still in your party. I think the damage was probably done back at the landsmeet when a plot flag wasn't set properly.

I used it right after rejecting the DR. I selected the armies and went to the gates of Denerim and was able to select Loghain for my final team. When bidding farewell to the others, I still found myself talking to the ghost of Alistair and the ghost of Morrigan, who was with child. (Should be interesting to see if they show up for that defensive fight.) For the armies, they still gave me the golems even though I sided with Caradin and didn't select them as part of my armies. I suppose I'll have to wait for the epilogue to see if there were any other changes to the world state I created.

Upon closer examination, the console command did a really strange thing: I have BOTH elves AND werewolves! By contrast, I'm missing mages! (And no Templars either.) The epilogue is going to be screwy...

The epilogue is going to be screwy... Yes I was a bit surprised when I tried it and got this. I didn't even think Morrigan liked my warden. But for the army, did you pick option 1 (Default) or option 2 (custom) and it just ignored your choices. The Debug console is not really there to fix games, just get the developers to the part they wanted to test.

The Debug console is not really there to fix games, just get the developers to the part they wanted to test. Which nudity mod did you use? NB or something else? My female elf warden, who was literally down to 0 approval with Morrigan ended up doing the same thing during one of my early experiments with the console commands. (Hopefully, Leliana didn't find out! ) This last time, I did pick 2 and it didn't make a difference. I had access to humans, dwarves, elves, werewolves, and golems. (I should not have had the golems and werewolves.) At least it gave me Loghain. Then on the roof, I see both Irving and Greagoire but no other mages or Templars. Surprising, I didn't see any Legion of the Dead on the roof although I did see one of their rogues when I called for dwarf support at the Denerim market. Now for the really bizarre part: Loghain goes down toward the end of the AD fight. Before my mage PC or Wynne can revive him, my PC grabs her sword and finishes off the AD....and lives! The completed quest codex still says I rejected the DR though...so I guess Neria was able to have her cake and eat it too! One might think they gave credit to Loghain for dealing the final blow, but no one mentions it post-coronation and Alistair is nice and friendly with my PC. No mention of poor Loghain at all! Oh well....I really need to find out what messed things up. I assume it must be mod related.

Dumb question regarding screenshots. Any better way to take them other then with the old print screen key? I did notice the game automatically takes shots, but it's always from behind my PC!

The default key for DAO is F12 & the screenshot will be in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Screenshots\User Pause the game. hold down the right mouse button to rotate the camera view and press F12. Pressing V twice will remove the HUD Selecting a different character with F1 to F4 will center the camera on them for close ups of another character. Edit: I see you posted some pics in another thread, I would edit the post in BBCode mode & remove the bits I've marked in pink.
