I wouldn't have a problem with that. Here's another way. What if instead Jenkins isn't killed on Eden Prime, but reassigned to another unit to make room for Williams on the SR1. In ME3, Shepard encounters Jenkins who says he's been assigned security detail for the council, or rather for Udina. On Mars, instead of A/K being seriously injured, they are ok after the evabot is stopped by Shepard before it does it's head grab of A/K. Once on the Citadel, Vega is still moaning an groaning about leaving earth that he decides to stay on the Citadel. When Shepard visits the Citadel in between missions, he/she can talk to Vega about whatever. After the events of the coup, Vega decides he wants to be on the squad. At that point, Shepard can say yes or no. Yeah, why not change everything right from the start for some fantasy. Fucking lol. Hey, you're right. How about having Shepard use the cipher he/she has in ME3 making the asari useless. How about have Kai Leng kill the asari instead of giving her a plane ticket to fly on Kai Leng Airlines? Better yet, have Javik be a squadmate for the whole trilogy without having the asari squadmate? How about the asari species mentioning the artifact earlier in the game? How about the Alliance let Shepard spend the 6 months trying to find a way to stop the reapers instead of being locked up? How about the one's on the beam run head to the beam after Harbinger flies away instead of retreating, falling back? How about Harbinger fire his beam of doom at the SR2 during the what-the-crap evac scene? How about Shepard living instead of dying at the beginning of ME2? How about Shepard throwing the platform out the airlock? How about Anderson not be in the trilogy at all? How about Wreav be the squadmate in ME1 instead Wrex? How about Petrovsky take Hackett's role? How about Jacob Taylor be the human ambassador? How about Conrad Verner be a squadmate? Yeah. ****ing lol

Liara would have been better off Shadow-Brokering and Prothean-Experting on the Crucible. Yeah, we know, but the devs have a hardon for her. I didn’t understand all the dislike for EDI-Bot until I thought about who she was taking the place of, especially on Cronos Station: a cut returning squadmate by the name of Miranda Lawson. Maybe. EDI was sort of intrinsic to the Synthesis ending. Even if you hated the geth and all those moronic AI out there (including that entire race that downloaded themselves into computer systems), you probably liked EDI. Without her for Synthesis, it loses meaning. I guess they could have reworked things to make it Legion who becomes sentient but I don't know that it would have the same impact. I'd say EDI is meant to be the proof that AI aren't monsters and so destroying the Reapers, and AI in general, would be the wrong thing to do. Besides, no way in hell was Miranda getting involved with Joker. My Shep would take her as his LI over Kaidan just to prevent that from happening. Also, Miranda should have been a squadmate regardless. She's my favorite from ME2. If Liara were on the Crucible it would have been no problem. Liara would only be on the SR2 if Miranda died in ME2. Or, hell, Shiala if they were unwilling to use Miranda. She should have been an ME1 squadmate anyway.

Tell me how you really feel about the asari. There are some great ones in there but BW was dead set on showing us the worst. The lady who was cheating on her husband with an asari was the worst, and both Keri T'Vessa and Peebee are cut from the same cloth. Not that I'm judgmental or anything. Here: Shiala is awesome!

although I usually leave Ashley on the ship for the most part too because of her Marksman bug (i.e. she gets stuck repeatedly trying to trigger marksman). Honestly, I have no idea whether she still has that issue in MELE since I haven't used her at all in Combat. The Ashley Marksman bug for those who do not know and do not want to look it up: When Squad Power Usage is set to On (so squadmates automatically use powers without input from the player), and Ashley has points in Marksman, Ashley will repeatedly activate Marksman about once a second and not do anything else. This can be avoided by not putting points into Marksman or setting Squad Power Usage to Off. Note that this bug may also be related how Wrex uses all his stim grenades right away when you take him as a squadmate in the Citadel DLC. I can confirm this is an issue in the original ME3. I have tested this very briefly on Mars in the Legendary Edition. It appears that this bug is fixed in the Legendary Edition, but I will probably do more testing later. ADDITIONAL OPINIONS: - Marksman is a terrible power on Ashley. Squadmates do not use guns effectively, and as a result Ashley will not use Marksman effectively. It also has a long cooldown, locking her out of Concussive Shot (which is a much more useful power). - Squadmate Power Usage should always be set to Off so you the player can control which powers squadmates use at any given time. It will make squadmates more effective as it will allow you to better direct how they perform in combat to help you. Nice to know they may have fixed that one.
I usually run with squad mate powers set to ON now. Since I've gotten older, my own reflexes aren't what they used to be and there have been times when the squad using their powers on their own has been what has saved my skin. I hadn't thought about it, but they may have made some improvements to the AI that way in LE, but I wouldn't be able to say for sure.
At any rate, I haven't put points into Ashley's marksman for ages (at least in ME3... I do, of course, put some points into Ashley's pistols in ME1, which unlocks Marksman regardless).
