I spent the entire day working on a new character for my restart. I played around Skald, Bard and almost went back to Paladin/Warpriest. Played with the deity too. But Skald it is. Tielfing Lady (Grimmspawn) Skald of Shelyn (the goddess of pure love and art). NOt into death as much as the Grimmspawn are supposed to be, I took it because it didn't reduce Int but granted bonus to Trickery. Dual wielding throwing weapons (Javelin/Throwing Axe right now) and a big glaive if forced to melee (Shelyn's favored weapon and the game has a lots of nice ones, because it's also Baphomet's favored weapon). The plan: 1. pick the rage power that improve crits. 2. Skald grant them to the rest of the party with their Rage songs. 3. That will cause Lann/Arue to cleave shot like mad with ranged OP weapons. 4. Profit!!!!! I also reduce the difficulty to Story so I don't spend 20 hours to get back where I was storywise. I might raise it up afterward or not, depends how I feel (it's crazy easy on Story, I almost killed Minagho near the Wardstone the first time you meet her. She's a level 28 enemy and the party is level 2 at that point. Actually, I think she was "dead" but can't die, that section ends when the PC fall to 0 HP or less...my PC was the last one to die). I went back to play turn-based too, I like it a lot more than RTwP...because Lann isn't killing everything by himself. There are 2 hidden LI, both locked behind mythic paths (Trickster and Demon), but I'm not sure if they are to the equivalent of Kingmaker hidden LI. I know some people really like the Trickster option thought. With such definitions that define their characters, nah, I don't think they're equivalent to Nyrissa whose romance path leads to her redemption / recovery of her soul and the building / merge of two kingdoms. At the most, I'd expect the typical building of a kingdom or whatever for the two hidden pairing. I very doubt you're going to build a kingdom with those two...I don't think they need it anyway. But the Demon path exclusive LI gets officially redeemed by the events in the Wrath of the Righteous module in-setting. From what I read, they tied it to Ember's personal quests in-game and I'm not sure how it works if you "romance" her thought.

I got a scene while sleeping on the map pre-Gray Garrison assault in Act 1 that I didn't get on my previous char. It feels it is story important and it gave me a quest (well errand).
Now I wonder how many things I missed on my previous char. Also, playing a Tiefling skald has given me two more (low level) magical items so far. My poor Dhampir Warpriest only got inflict wounds potions from knowing friends in comparison.

I got the "A Spark" achievement before even finishing Act 1. After a conversation with Minagho (answering to Daeran thought). It's strange, I don't think I picked any different choice from my previous char with him, but I got an inventory present this time (I didn't the previous PT). Reading today's patch note, the achievement was fixed. But gosh, I don't want to romance Daeran on this character. ---- edit The battle at the wardstone once you get the "power up" was hilarious on story mode. Lann had 5 attacks, he one-shot every demons but Minagho on the first round. Then it was my character turn and she brought Minagho's health to the convo level. Also, the demons trash respawn after being killed in that fight (I didn't realize that the first time I played), focusing on Minagho is the better idea. -------------- edit 2 So maybe it wasn't Daeran who triggered the "A Spark" achievement, because I had Lann show up in my Commander tent saying how much he wants to protect me.

Did a guide for Mythic Paths. Some spoilers on here if you'd rather want to find the info on yourself. But, it covers all of the paths and some interesting stuff I found. Not builds, however, that would frankly take too long to write them out, trying to convince my editors to let me do them individually but they don't see the appeal for it. So yeah...have fun with some of those. Especially the more evil and detailed ones.

I've been going trickster. There's a couple of stupid choices you can make but there are different level of stupid. I'm going bold. I'm not sure what's going to happen but if there are actual consequences to my choices down the line...oh boy. Also had sex with a companion and a couple of minute after got them arrested and killed. I'm still cackling. They deserved it.

I avoided the first Pathfinder due to the bugs at launch. Never got back around to it. How is that game nowadays?
And how is the state of the new one?

From what I've heard Kingmaker is in a great state. I got it on sale a while back but didn't even install it. I haven't run into anything game breaking in WOTR and I'm 40 hours in. Some have reported issues and Owlcat has been releasing regular patches, hotfixes and workarounds for major issues. I'd recommend not using the character retrainer. It's definitely a must buy imo. With the proper patches and all DLCs it can be top CRPG of all time.

Anyone happen to know what your charisma needs to be to romance the demon lord as a trickster? I've been enjoying this game but I heard there's a SECRET PATH and now I have to restart because I didn't do a thing. And I actually got to a decent level with this char despite my crippling altitis. I'm going with trickster mostly because I dislike all the other options but I've heard it gets very memey. I'm near the end of chapter 3 and it hasn't been too bad? So far? I heard azata is very FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC, can't go lich because can't romance, can't go angel because the good side is written as utterly insipid, demon is chaotic evil which is dumb and the perks are worthless and I don't like lawful alignments mostly. Alack and alas.

I finished the game and mmmm...it's okay ? I didn't get into the story all that much, the wall of texts just bored me, there are also a number of game mechanics that just make thing frustrating and unfun. I really liked Nenio but her personal quest is so annoying that I abandonned her in a dungeon and left it at that. I rushed the ending because I just wanted to be done with the game.

Ok, this is annoying. For Nenio's quest, you have to gather four masks. One of the mask is at Pulura's Fall. I didn't know about until I found the first mask by visiting Ivory Sanctum. Not wanting to miss out the rest of the masks accidentally, I look up the locations. One is at Pulura's Fall which the PC will visit in Act III. Unfortunately, I've already been there and cannot return until Act V, according to the guide. So a heads up, there're quests at Pulura's Fall. Finish all Pulura quests before leaving. I failed one, the daggers, because I thought the last one could be found elsewhere. Why did I have such a thought? Because I searched everywhere and couldn't find the last dagger. The mask for Nenio's quest that can be found at Pulura Falls is in a secret room. The key to opening it is the stargazing pool. Look up the way to opening it on YT.

I made it past the character creation screen. I think that's worth an achievement on it's own, cause look at all those options.
Going for this build right now, but already have doubts about some decisions:
1 Monk (Scaled Fist, primary reason being it changes armor bonus from WIS to CHA, so I can safely dump wisdom to keep the unarmored bonus) 2-5 Sorcerer (Crossblooded. Fey & Arcane bloodlines) 6-15 Dragon Disciple 16-20 Probably Sorcerer, but also eyeing Loremaster. The latter would leave me at an undesired caster level though, if I understood the mechanics correctly.
This is basically what I imagine what a Dragon in human form would be like, btw. At least, that's what I'm attempting.
Game is stupidly hard btw. Playing on core difficulty and already find the game almost unplayable on anything but turn based and with lots of foreknowledge.

Agreed, I've had this game for 3 weeks and I'm just getting a playthrough going after numerous restarts on core rtwp. Die several times, search reddit, someone says "easy fight do xyz." If I can do xyz great, if not, I restart. At this rate I'd be done with this playthrough in late Oct.

I'm not happy with the diplomatic decisons because I don't know the lore that well. Moreover, the cat diplomat gives me an annoyed feeling. So regards which ally to choose, here's what Soziele, a Reddit poster has to say about the proposed allies.
Lastwall- What is stated in the game is accurate. Lastwall is a defensive bastion that turned into a country, holding off threats from orc raiders and undead. They are one the "big good" factions, and the state religion is Iomedae so a natural fit for the crusade.
Brevoy- Not exactly a stable country. They are dealing with the fallout of their royal line completely vanishing overnight, and there is conflict between the noble lines for who should now be in charge (this comes up a lot in Kingmaker). For your purposes in Wrath, they are famous for being the best swordfighters on the continent, but that is on the level of individual warriors, not as a fighting force.
Isger- As Konomi states, they are battle hardened veterans having fought off several goblin invasions. But Isger isn't independent, which is what matters for diplomacy. They are a dependent state to the devil-worshiping nation of Cheliax, one of the "big bad" factions of the setting. What you see from Regill and the Hellknights is the "good" side of Cheliax, it is not a pleasant place.
Numeria- An honest to the gods spaceship crashed here. So you have a cross between the mages that have gathered to study the wreck (known as the Technic League) and the native inhabitants of the country, mostly barbarian peoples similar to the ones that ruled Sarkoris (and some of them actually from Sarkoris since they fled to Numeria to escape the demons). The League tend to mostly focus on their own issues as a neutral group, but they also have a habit of slave trading and many don't give a damn about words like "ethics". The barbarians are barbarians, tough and often nomadic tribes, but many of those tribes would be happy to earn glory killing demons, or fighting to get back their ancestral lands.

I killed Carmellia . I don't really see any way out for her. When I saw the name she mentioned, I thought it's the same name as the one written in the journal of the poor woman who gave birth to a horrific child after praying to Lamahtsu (sp) for a baby.

nation of Cheliax, one of the "big bad" factions of the setting. I like Cheliax. They are called devil-worshippers, but Asmodeus has full divinity in the setting. And he's the god of bureaucracy. The place is ruled by an imperial bureaucracy actually. It's basically the Sith Empire (where the Siths are the noble families). I wished that they had adapted Hell's Rebel/Hell's Vengeance campaigns instead of Wrath just because of it is set in Cheliax. I killed Carmellia . I don't really see any way out for her. When I saw the name she mentioned, I thought it's the same name as the one written in the journal of the poor woman who gave birth to a horrific child after praying to Lamahtsu (sp) for a baby. Why would anyone pray to Lamashtu for a baby and not expect a deformed/monstrous looking child? Birthing monstrosities is part of her portfolio...

Why would anyone pray to Lamashtu for a baby and not expect a deformed/monstrous looking child? Birthing monstrosities is part of her portfolio... Because the human mothers often deluded themselves that their kids will be normal. When they realise their kids are not normal, it's always too late. It's too bad. If Carmelia isn't a shaman, I think she wouldn't turn out that way. She isn't the first shaman to go nuts though.

It's kinda hard to tell in a fantasy setting thought. She could be talked to by anything. Outsiders, gods, even remote spellcasters.

Does anyone know when the quest Watch Your Step happens? I've sitting by the war table, rolling the days and it's not triggering at all.
The reason I'm waiting is after I finish Midnight Fane, I was told I failed Watch Your Step which never trigger at all. I'm starting to think it's a stupid bug.

So I need help in Act 1. Someone made a big demonic mess in the bed room in the Defenders Heart Tavern. It happened on my earlier run but never saw anything come out of it (and said character was just happy she didn't have to tidy up). But now it happened to my dwarf and he needs to speak to the manager about this. Except he can't find anyone to share his complaints with. He's not angry and his pig is more than happy to tidy up the crunchy munchy demons, but he just wants someone, anyone to acknowledge the mess that was made and hopefully find a solution to this horrific breech in security. Picture of mess. Please help. Is there some way to acknowledge/deal with this or do these things just happen?

It's a bug from what I read (the corpses, not nobody reference to them).
