I finished my Mass Effect Legendary run, I finished my epic and thrilling Dragon Age run. I played Pillars of Eternity a while ago, and more recently Divinity Original Sin 2 for the first time (very good).
I think I've run out of narrative-driven, getting the team (back) together 'Magnificent Seven' companion-heavy RPGs.
Is 'Cyperpunk 2077' worth getting now or should I wait till the first proper DLC? I want to wait for 'Baldur's Gate 3' to launch properly before I try it.
Any suggestions?

Ok, I bit the bullet and bought 'Assassin's Creed: Valhalla'!
Went for discounted Gold Edition on Ubisoft because I gather the Season Pass is worth it. I just loved AC:Odyssey (why does the spelling of Odyssey make you feel like you've just had 3 pints of wine?) but it was SO BIG, and to be honest, I ran out of steam once I got to Atlantis. I wanted it to be classically watery, not eye-scorchingly anime garden city, so I sort of wander off to other things.
Looking forward to meeting Eivor!
Please avoid spoilers, but if you have any hints/tips/amusing comments about the game, please tell me!

Depensd on whethe ryou feel you want companions with you or not and wha tsystems you're playing on but ther is the Witche rgames of course also another game that I personally enjoy after it's arrival on PC is Horizon Zero Dawn. It also depends on whether you want to stick to RPG's or not

I liked Kingdom of Amalur. It has a really interesting world and combat system.

CP2077 isn't "companion-heavy" at all. You get the odd mission with one of the sidekicks but that is pretty much it. The first buddy is a pretty strong tie but.... well. CP2077 is more like the lone ranger in 1st person with a somewhat stronger sidecast than GTA games.

With Cyberpunk CDPR I think has it on sale for 33% off again, so I bet if you don't get it now you can get it on sale in a couple of months again. Personally from my experience at launch and what I have been reading for the patches I think the game is still priced a little too high.
With Valhalla the one thing I would warn you of is that it does become very familiar in feeling after awhile since the way the areas are designed and it being open world style. Overall I enjoyed the game, but I took my time with it to prevent having the feeling of familiarity with it.

Especially not in combat.

If you like companion focused games and don't mind isometric gameplay like Pillars of Eternity, I can heartily recommend Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. You get interesting companions, a bit of romance, different endings based on your choices and mythic path and a massive amount of content. On the downside you may encounter some bugs and the Pathfinder system requires some time investment to learn.

OoooooooOOoooooo!! This sounds just up my street!! I have noticed it out of the corner of my eye (if you see what I mean) but heard so little about it, I didn't investigate further!
Thank you!

Since you don't mind isometric games, I would also recommend Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Expeditions: Viking. They're both story-driven, party-based RPGs, though note they are also turn-based. Dragonfall has a sequel called Shadowrun: Hong Kong, though I found it not as good. Viking should have a sequel coming up in the next few months, Expeditions: Rome.

If you can get them to run...maybe through an emulator....check out the original Rainbow Six games, especially Rogue Spear.

Some great suggestions already, for me it would be something like Wasteland 3. I have pillars of eternity but struggled to get into it. Wasteland 3 on the other hand caught my attention straigh away and kept me interested until I finished it

It's a must buy if you're into those types of games and easily the best crpg I ever played (finally toppling 20 year old Baldur's Gate)

It's a must buy if you're into those types of games and easily the best crpg I ever played (finally toppling 20 year old Baldur's Gate) Just came back to say that I've just bought 'Wrath of the Righteous', currently installing and bouncingly excited to start playing it.
I've had it in my Steam Wishlist since this thread and had a beady eye on it, waiting for a sale but y'know what, screw that *giddy laughter*. I suspect Steam will go into full Winter Sale mode next week and the associated discount will make me cry but nevermind.
Anyway, thank you so much for your suggestion, all. Pillars (partic Deadfire), Divinity II and Baldur's Gate are also faves of mine, and somehow this didn't ping on my radar (stupid me) so your input is most welcome!
And, a bit early maybe but Happy Christmas/Season's Greetings! Hope you have a good break (if/when you get one) and please please stay safe and well.

God of War on my wishlist - quite excited about it. Horizon Zero Dawn/Uncharted - not my usual thangs but I have had my eye on them.

I enjoyed playing it when it became available for home use. It is not next gen though I would be happy if it were remade with today's technology. Look it up on google to get more detail about the game.

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: The Crown of Kings for the Intellivsion by Matel Electronics...... I had countless hours of fun on that system playing that game alone, not to mention others.....I think my dad had about twenty games including HE-Man and the Masters of the Universe, MLB, NFL Football, Auto Racing, Triple Action (3 games in one: Tanks, Racing and Airplanes), Donkey Kong, SAFE Cracker, TRON Deadly Disks, Cops N' Robbers, River Raid, The Dreadnaught Factor (fun...but stupidly hard even on the easiest setting), SEA Battle (also a very difficult game)....So many more.
My favourite title was The Crown of Kings. We also had the sequel called "The Treasure of Tarmin" but I didn't like that one too much in comparison.

Hee hee sorry I'm teasing you. I even played it on someone's Atari/BBC something-or-other (not up on my Cretaceous console platforms but I am from that era.) Apols. I'd quite like to see someone try to market a re-release 'next gen' Pong.

It would probably be an idle clicker, where you tap and 37 balls bounce around the screen for three minutes before you get fireworks and a pittance of in-game currency. Levels are unlocked with said currency and there's a mini-game that's actualythe real game, collecting cards of classic Atari game characters to battle PvP for more currency to unlock more levels to get more cards...
