I have a 35.00 dollar credit on my credit card......I have never seen "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" OR "Pegasus"....I am currently trying to finish the series on Season 4 Ep 14 and thourhgly have enjoyed it.
I am very tempted to buy the series on BD from Amazon + the two movies (that I have never seen before) so that I have something to use my credit for......Can anyone tell me if it is worth it or not? If I have never seen the movies are they worth buying for about 10 to 15 dollars each? (the 20 disk Series on BD is 109.99) with my credit I could get everything for about 100 dollars even.
THoughts?

The Razor movie is a must IMO and should be watched at the proper time int he series (check websites, maybe also watch the mini web episodes at the proper time). The Plan is also pretty ok. Didn't really like the others that much.
S yea, definitely watch it. I should mention that here in the US, BSG is sometimes part of Amazon Prime Video and can be watched for "free" if you have that. Then I would consider not buying it but waiting until it's in program. But if you are a BD fan, sure, it's well worth adding to the collection and it's also a nice finished story (the main series at least).

Thanks Andromedary. I have Amazon Prime and that is how I got onto watching the Series which I am finishing....But I have not seen the movies, Razor, Pegasus or Blood and Chrome, so I would like to see those as well. I am thoroughly enjoying the series on Prime and am very tempted to add it to my extensive movie collection of over 200 DVDs/BDs, because I can't think of anything else I want to use my credit for.

BSG was a formative sci-fi series for me as a teenager, I still rewatch it occasionally. I own the Bluerays myself so I say go for it.
As for the other media: The Plan is just okay, but it’s a nice supplement to the series. Razor is pretty good, but I recommend checking what episodes it’s supposed to happen between and rewatching them to get your bearings.
Blood and Chrome honestly isn’t worth watching unless you really just want more BSG. It isn’t awful, just meh.
I have a soft spot for the Caprica series, despite its weirdness and shortcomings, but it was cancelled after a season so there’s no conclusion.

There is a definite conclusion albeit a rushed one due to cancelation. Well, yes, the immediate plot lines were given some conclusions but a lot of threads and how they were going to tie into the reboot series were never tied up.

So I finished BSG last night.......What a beautiful series. All in all in terms of acting quality, episodic story lines, over-arching plot of the series and emotional impact/weight....I'd put it right up there with the quality and likes of Star Trek TNG. Was it weird in spots? Yes. But then again, so was Star Trek or even Star Wars or Aliens.....But the more I watched of this, I began to see that there was a beauty to it, and when it ended (and how it ended)...I just came away with a very "wow...." feeling.
