I knew the thirst for Minthara was strong out there, but... wow.  Over a third of the players attacked the Grove. The fact that it's even over... 10%... is impressive. I normally skew towards the light side but thinking i'll probably attack the grove for Minthara when i buckle and buy the game.

Not particularly. It was the conservative sections of society going on about the Mass Effect sex thing (Fox News, amirite) and it's the part of the conservative section of the internet that were annoyed about ... various aspects of BG3, the bear sex scene just one of it. I believe 4 chan and steam forums have various accusations of BG3 being ... "woke". Time's have changed insomuch as the debate has been framed differently, but I don't know if it's that different. Remember it took 2 months before news about sex being in Mass Effect ended up on Fox's desks, and BG3 has only been out for a few weeks. It was also 15 years ago. Something must be going wrong - or maybe right - with my social media feeds. I haven't actually encountered any BG3 outrage. But you're right that it's too early to tell. Maybe another satanic panic - Absolute panic? - is right around the corner. Look at the BG3 Steam forum - or rather don't, it's not pretty. According to them BG3 is too woke, has weird sex and not enough pretty ladies 😁 |

If it ever do another PT (I have a poor track record with replaying anything that isn't a BioWare game) it'll either be a tiefling or dragonborn. And preferably morally depraved.
No idea yet which class though. The combat is meh to me so far. Probably because I'm not good at it. Druid is fine though so far. Don't regret my choice there.

Been toying with the idea of creating another character I was thinking of playing a Human barbarian. Never played as a barbarian and I love Karlach she is powerful. She also doesn't sound like the typical dumb barbarian. Talking about dumb barbarian if I keep their intelligence at 8 does that effect their speech? I mean I remember the first time I played the original NWN and I had neglected intelligence and my character had difficulty speaking.  |

Aha, BG3 got within 25,000 of breaking it's own concurrent players record today. I wonder if tomorrow BG3 crosses 900k xD I'm more impressed by the game currently being 2nd on the all time all platform ranking list on opencritic (breaking the Nintendo supremacy there) and with the same score as the leader (a lot less reviews). The score has only been going up since release, usually it's the opposite to it stabilize. Talking about dumb barbarian if I keep their intelligence at 8 does that effect their speech? It's doesn't affect the dialogue options if that what you mean and since 10 is the average of the population in a stat, at 8 you aren't really that worst than the average.

I think I'm going to move to the popular kids table for my next run, with a Drow Warlock/Sorcerer. That's what my first early access character was, and it would be nice to actually finish his story.
On the other hand, though, I'm having a lot of fun with Barbarian via Karlach so that might be cool. Or I could play something else (Monk, maybe?) and actually romance Karlach next time. (I was vaguely planning to on my first one, but Wyll flirted back first, so ...)

On a first playthrough? I don't think we've ever seen numbers for a choice like that in a Bio game. People have played the good version for 3 years now, they just wanted some variety...or Minthara. Also, it's super easy to misstep in the grove and if you refuse to save scum, well...

BG3 is now the best game of all time on opencritics, but with 1/4 of the former king scored review total. Despite the amount of reviews difference, I personally think this is actually pretty insane. I really didn't expect it to score that high, better than DOS2 sure, but this nope.
And I now finished my first PT, so time to roll a new character! I just need to settle on the class. So I might go on a bit of a rerolling period. I barely did act 3 content, I got so much left to explore.
