It wasn't that long ago when everyone was getting their panties in a twist over whatever it was that Mass Effect was supposed to have done. Weird how times change.

"Random." Honestly, a lot of what goes on in software would make more sense if it really was just the code mutating on its own, rather than human programmers screwing things up. Ok - poor choice of words. I just don't know when or why the change was made. Hell - maybe it was something I did. Does changing from SDR to HDR make Shadowplay change file types? Seems like the sort of thing I could google. Sounds like "random" explains the behavior better.

Is all of this information available in the PHB? I will have to look it up, but I don't enjoy playin over the top blackguard. My first experience playing as one was in the 'Blackguard' series of modules, where the player was chaotic evil and a follower of Talos. So I did not enjoy the series. It was the conservative sections of society going on about the Mass Effect sex thing (Fox News, amirite) and it's the part of the conservative section of the internet that were annoyed about ... various aspects of BG3, the bear sex scene just one of it. I believe 4 chan and steam forums have various accusations of BG3 being ... "woke". Time's have changed insomuch as the debate has been framed differently, but I don't know if it's that different. Remember it took 2 months before news about sex being in Mass Effect ended up on Fox's desks, and BG3 has only been out for a few weeks. It was also 15 years ago.

I'm starting to think that I will have to kill some party members in my next PT, so I'm not tempted to go back to the Lae'zel/Karlach bromance of melee destruction. But aren't the choices meant to be made? How can you be making too many!!! It's actually choices and actions, that might include moving/destroying boxes, etc. Not just story choices...but then moving a box might be a story choice too, depending of the end result. |

I did comment here however to say I do remember the controversy over the love scenes in Mass Effect 1, and I do remember watching the story on Fox News.

Crashing continues for me. I was doing OK on driver's from June for a couple of hours but game crashed again during a main quest battle just now. In the meantime there are brand new drivers that Larian recommends too. Installed. Crashed again on the same fight. I'm starting to dispair here.  Edit: Could get past that battle by loading the non launcher exe. Oh well. Let's see how for that will get me this time. |

58 hours played and only now i realised that we can save during conversation/cutscenes  . And i got a minor bug yesterday. In Act 1, in an area in the Mountain Pass, there was a diggable dirt that when found made the shovel disappear from my inventory. I had to throw the shovel to the ground before the perception check  . |

Yeah, I crash too but it mostly happens if I've been playing for a good while/a few hours. I've certainly learned my lesson to quicksave as much as possible because at one point I lost a good chunk of play time while forgetting to save. I'm not complaining though, this has been GOTY for me so far.
The more evil aligned character are becoming my favorites, I've really been liking their character development when trying to take them down a better path.

My crashes seem to happen in clusters. I can game for 2h fine and then the next day I get 2-3 crashes in 10 minutes. Now I've been gaming for 2h again without issuesa few hours later. I don't get it.
And every time I crash the tutorial flags get reset. Bit annoying.

My crashes seem to happen in clusters. I can game for 2h fine and then the next day I get 2-3 crashes in 10 minutes. Now I've been gaming for 2h again without issuesa few hours later. I don't get it. And every time I crash the tutorial flags get reset. Bit annoying. Is it just the game that crash? I've seen someone mention online that the helm that grant arcana acuity cause crashing. Maybe one of your character is wearing a buggy item or more than one? Since it seems you often crash during combat. The only item with "grant effect X" I used was the Momentum and Lightning ones early games and not a full set.

Only put a helmet on Shadowheart an hour ago during the session that didn't crash. It's not just combat. Also cutscenes and the camp in general. I don't see the pattern yet. |

Really hope the next hotfix Larian pushes out fixes your crashing problem
