Unless they tinkered with the scale just for the trailer, that big-ass dinosaur surely has to be the largest unit in the game yet. Hopefully its realized being that big in-game. Warhammer needs those truly epic units and monsters, especially moving into game three with the Chaos Daemons.

Another thing, this DLC is setting a new precedent for CA: Cross game content. I think it's safe to assume that if game 1 factions like the Empire are getting matched up against game 2 factions then we are very likely to see characters like Grom the Paunch in a Greenskins vs High Elves DLC pack.

Got 3 Kingdoms. Can't say it blew me away. Very low variety in units. Fleshed out the generals a bit which is nice. Somthing like a family / faction tree managaement which I dont find bad. Map is nice, but they only use like half with vanilla. I guess the rest gets sold as DLC factions?
Overall not too bad a game but after playing Warhammer 2 it's kinda a bland experience. Doesn't have the rich cultural touch of Shogun2 neither.

I mean, I get that its set decades afterwards but all it does is make the campaign feel isolated and lacking in content. Honestly though I think TW:Warhammer has ruined all other historical games for me. All the factions in those other games are too bland and similar for my tastes. Do I want to play as the humans with horses and archers... or as the humans with horses and archers? Compared with humans, elves, dwarves, tree ents, undead, vampires, ratmen, beast men, chaos etc all those historical factions are boring.

Especially with the sieges. All those castles were glorious. But yeah, who would have thought that Warhammer would play out so well with the TW concept.

Well the FLC Lord releasing alongside the Hunter and the Beast DLC is going to be Gor-Rok, the legendary great white lizard man warrior.
At this point CA has included practically all notable lizarmen characters as playable options in their game.

I like Tomb King expansion best. The Vampire Coast is really good too, but Tomb Kings just resonate with me.

Thats the beauty of Warhammer (both fantasy and 40) there's no one faction I dislike. I guess I could say that the human ones are the most "boring" but even then boring is a relative term when it comes to the Warhammer IP. Top choices for me though (in no particular order) are: Skaven Tomb Kings Dwarves Lizardmen Chaos Wood Elves (their forest spirit units only) If I want to include the as of yet unreleased game three factions, my preferences would be: Chaos Deamons Chaos Dwarves Ogre Kingdoms

It's a real kicker franchise to adapt - it's got already tons of lore, combat rules. You dont have to invent much about the setting. It's popular. Ppl recognise it. Little work to explain every nook and cranny. It's very diverse. It's perfect. Most of my lore knowledge came from Blood Bowl - dropping into TW Warhammer was smooth.

So it just recently came to my attention how apparently CA is on a roll in my country increasing prices out of the blue. Arch made a video the other day, and did another yesterday. I was curious when he mentioned my country and said the prices have risen, so I went to steam and checked. Most CA games have all the same price now. WH2 was 800 AR$ probably a month ago, now it's 2000 AR$, more than double the price. Now, sure with the political climate we're enduring here currently I'm not astronomically surprised. Here's the thing though, Rome 2 is also 2000 AR$, a 9 year old game. 3 Kingdoms is also 2000 AR$, the game released a couple of months ago. And the pre order of Cyberpunk 2077 is 2200 AR$, see how little difference? a 9 year old game is now pretty much the same as the pre order of CP2077. I don't know what the fuck CA is doing, but it's very much fucked up. BTW, you think 2000 for a game is a high price? So do I. That pays my internet bill every month. I found 800$ sketchy already back then, now...

A bit behind the times on this one but I have just finished my first Mortal Empires Wood Elf campaign as the FLC legendary lord Drycha. Gotta say, she was much more fun to play as than the sisters. My armies were comprised of only forest spirts and wild creatures which I used to punish all those who threatened the forest. None suffered my wrath more than the arrogant elves of Ulthuan and Athel Loren. By the end of my campaign I had taken the Sword of Khaine, razed Ulthuan to the ground and completely emptied the magical forests around the Oak of Ages of all elven lives.

This came as a surprise to me, video from CA uploaded today. Rome TW remaster. 50% discount for current Rome owners. Probably Sega has seen the success of it's Yakuza remasters and thought they would try it with Total War.

This is interesting, but I have to say I'll pass on this one.
Rome 1 was the first Total War game I played and I enjoyed it a lot. I tried to play Medieval 2 a few years back but couldn't get into it again. For me I don't feel like I can enjoy anything pre Empire:Total War like I used too.
Glad they are doing this since I know Rome is still very much a popular game on steam.
I'm still concerned with their historical titles. They don't have any thing that is straight historical at the moment. Troy doesn't interest me and has a lot of quasi-mythical elements to it. I think it's great that CA dabbles in elements like this but I feel like they should still have a separate pure historical branch. I though the Saga series was supposed to be this.

Bought the Rome remaster today for £12.49 GBP. It'll be good to play this again without the original games Windows 10 bugs and crashes. I expect it won't take long for the modders to get to work on this, hopefully some nice mods to look forward to.

I'm getting 👍
I'm still hoping they'll have something in the future soon ish however for a new historical game, I tried Warhammer 1 and 3 kingdoms but those aren't my kind of games and they aren't the same as RTW or midevil. I'll still likely end up sticking to Divide Et Impera on RTW2 though till then.

As a Total War fan in general I am happy to see this classic being remastered for all the historical fans. Unfortunately Warhammer has it's hooks embedded too deep for me to get this 'new' title Speaking of which, and I realize this is about a month late, but the Warhammer 3 cinematic certainly hypes me up for the conclusion of the trilogy. Each of the Chaos Gods getting their own armies, Kislev & Cathay becoming official factions, etc. I am definitely excited for this one.

Not so keen on playing chaos either. I got late into TW WH2 also, I think I wait it out.

Not so keen on playing chaos either. I got late into TW WH2 also, I think I wait it out. I can see that perspective; even I'm kind of a little put off by how Chaos heavy it will be at launch. That being said, the prospect of finally being able to play as the Ogre Kingdoms and Chaos Dwarves; both of whom I've been waiting for since the announcement of Warhammer 1; when they are released sometime post-launch will be a reunion a long time coming. There's also the fact that when the new combined map is released it will include the entirety of the Warhammer Fantasy world with over 100 legendary lords available to choose from. Honestly, with how each game of the trilogy is being tied together, I think CA have set a bar for themselves that they will need to be mindful of with all future titles; historical and fictional. In my opinion gone are the days when releasing DLC nations and leaders; each separate from the main content. The fans won't tolerate it moving forward after being spoiled with how interconnected the Warhammer series has been. I mean they faced a considerable amount of backlash over their Eight Princes expansion for Three Kingdoms for that same reason. All of which is only a good thing. Players should be able to play with all their toys in one big sandbox.
