I'll be honest, I didn't think much of Taash, just a gender flipped Iron Bull, but the latest episode of Vows and Vengeance really brought her to my attention. Hopefully she keeps being interesting when the full game comes out.
That's the point. Will she/it/them/they?
Her writer has confirm it is she/her. As it was said many times on this forum.

This looks amazing. She looks so great.
I'm more interested in the voice vs the Q physique. Why? I saw a clip of a young looking Q Rook speaking. The voice vs the Q's body generated a dissonance within me. ... like Arnold Schwarzenegger with a girl's voice. He is no Arhishok's kid by any stretch of the imagination.
Speaking of voices, while I am here, is there two voice actors for every male chars?... same with the female companions? I definitely want to match a voice to a char.
I hope i understand your post right
You got 2 male PC voices and 2 female PC voices. Edit: and you can use a pitch slider to go deeper if that's what you want. As for companions every companion has only one voice, but if you can speak german or french you have more choices.

Can someone explain why so many people use "they" for Taash? Are there some spoilers floating that suggests this pronoun is accurate? I find it odd otherwise, considering Weekes mentioned Taash is "she/her"

Probably because there's a lot of uncertainty around Taash. Her voice actor is NB and had a statement that made Taash sound NB too. Plus you can be NB and still use both she/her and they/them pronouns. But given what we've learned since, it seems less likely.

Taash is the character who most thoroughly demonstrates that this is a new generation picking up the fight. She is the first character in the series to have been a toddler during Origins.

Spoiler about taash (from leaked achievements list) Yep, it's "they". "Little Dragon Helped a dragon hunter find the meaning of what burns inside them."
That is a very beautifully said description. Even though I am kinda meh about Taash coming out as trans being the main theme of a character. But I suppose it's not surprising, considering Taash was written by Weekes.

It could be about it, of course. Or it could be about the Kossith Qunari having dragon ancestry and possibly being Ghilly's creations. Or it could be about both.

"Helped a dragon hunter (singular) find the meaning of what burns (singular) inside them (pronoun)."

Her being non-binary doesn't mean that this is what her personal arc/quest about or that it's only about it. She's a dragon hunter, and the word "burn" makes me think of dragons and not about being trans. But we'll see.

OK, curiosity got better of me and i watched that clip of Taash that's been floating around. I guess, she's Tal-Vashoth? In Vows and Vengeance she didn't exactely strike me as a follower of the Qun, but in the clip she says that "The Qun teaches us to help people" or something like that, so she still follows it to a degree? I wonder if she grew up in Kont-Aar and who is her mom.

Yes, it is still hard to tell but I doubt they is full Vashoth considering they still seems to adhere to Qunari teaching to some extent. However, it is possible that their mother was the Tal'Vashoth and fled the Qun because she wanted to raise her baby herself. Unless they have changed the lore, parents do not raise their own children under the Qun. They are just treated like breeding animals and once the baby is born it is given over to the Tamassrans to raise. So you never know who your parents were and your Tamassran becomes your foster mother.
Thus, when Taash refers to their mother this could be the biological mother or the foster mother, although that would presumably mean the Tamassran had defected. Whatever the case it would seem the mother is not wholly hostile to the Qun philosophy as many of the defectors from the Antaam are, which would make sense considering in Qun society the women usually perform either an administrative, civilian craft or religious role in society. Perhaps the mother was originally a cook or in charge of food distribution and so they have continued with the same sort of role on the outside.
However, there does seem to be a degree of blending of cultures with the human converts in Rivain retaining something of their own traditions, so perhaps it could be a case of the mother having gone a bit native through running a community remote from Kont-aar and Taash become even more detached from the Qun mindset as a result.
I await with interest to discover exactly what relationship Taash has with the Qun.

I await with interest to discover exactly what relationship Taash has with the Qun. Yeah, it will be interesting to see how her relationship with the Qun is handled, considering that she grew up in Rivain. I'm still a bit afraid that she will be Bull 2.0. Not because i dislike his character, but i don't want Bioware to repeat the same arc. Hopefully, it won't the case.
I admit, however, is that i'm still salty that Tevinter got Minrathous, Antiva got Treviso and Nevarra got Grand Necropolis, which is also a city, but for dead. Meanwhile, Rivain seems to get some beaches and Warden ruins. It would've been cool to visit Kont-aar.

Something else comes to mind for Taash. Corypheous says the Qunari were a "mistake". I wonder if Little Dragon relates to this and the thing that burns inside comes to some kind of reveal into the origins of the Qunari. A more literal interpretation of "little"? "What do they call you? Qunari? Your blood is engorged with decay! Your race is not a race, it is a mistake!" Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to recruiting Taash.

"What do they call you? Qunari? Your blood is engorged with decay! Your race is not a race, it is a mistake!" I'm not sure if this is fully explained in DAV but Bearing in mind what happens with the Antaam, it would seem that Cory was on to something. Less to do with being a dragon, though, as how the dragon blood got into the race in the first place. I'm also unclear if Taash was always able to do fire breathing or it only started after the gods got busy. However, her mother said she took her away to keep her safe and I got the impression it was because she showed the "dragon" at an earlier age.

She definitely breathed fire since she was little, because that was the reason her mother left the Qun and escaped to Rivain. Like... that's the essence of the complicated relationship Taash has with their mom: Shathann left the life she knew and seemed to enjoy, to protect her Little Dragon (their name itself suggests the gift manifested very early in their life) from what the Qunari would force Taash to be.

I haven't used Taash enough to really have a solid opinion about the character. But one thing that I can't unsee is Taash's hands are oddly very tiny...they kinda creep me out in some of the cutscenes lol
