She was about my fav star trek gal.  Might be mine too. Just thinking about it now and comparing and... she's got a lot going for her. Dax has a wonderful outlook on life. The ample screen-time weighs in her favour too though. She got to develop a lot over 6 seasons. Honestly the next female character that I like the most after a bit of thought (but not too much) is President Rillak. I really like her character. Barring that Leeta or Tendi.  (Seriously Leeta is wonderful. And Tendi can dislocate her jaw on purpose. It's canon.) Er, all that said I really like where Seven is now and am game to see if that leads somewhere. But she isn't really a favourite, I just think she has a lot of potential right where she is. Oh... can't forget Dr. Polaski. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit... I forgot someone important. Jett Reno. Huh. There you go, Star Trek: Discovery actually has two out of three of my favourite female characters in Trek. (That I can think of right now.)

Favourite Women in Star Trek (in no particular order) Marina Sirtis (Cmdr/Counselor Troi, TNG) Ashley Judd (Lt. Lefler, TNG; Gues Appearances 2 episodes) Dianna Muldar Doctor Polaski TNG Seasons 3 thru 7) very pretty lady when she was younger, next is K'ehleyar ( Worf's Klingon love interest; Mother of son Alexander played by Suzie Plakson who also played Vulcan Nurse whose name I forget, and then we have Michelle Forbes, Ro Laren)...The prettiest woman in Star Trek Enterprise was, of course, Jolene Blaylock (with or without makeup)..and I'm sure there is many more but those are the names off the top of my head Oh Dude! How could I forget?! JERI FREAKIN" RYAN! Of course!

Wait, Lwaxana Troi. How could I forget. Loved her in DS9 with Odo. Some would say the heart of STAR TREK at its core, for she provided the Computer Voice for not only every single ship in the entire Fleet of the Federation, but also within every building. She was also the beloved wife of Gene Roddenberry for 32 years (1969-1991; his death) before he past away in 1991. Sadly, she passed in 2008 at the age of 76. I always found her character of Lwaxana Troi to be most annoying and embarrassing (which I suppose, to Picard she is supposed to be) and that's the point. But in later years I have grown to really appreciate her acting. Did you kow that she was the first woman to play the character of Number 1 (now played by Rebbecca Romijn on Strange New Worlds) and also in the same series, she played the original Nurse Christine Chapel....which I think, for a show of its time ( TOS) stands as some kind of Television landmark record.
