Dreams fascinate me. Have a funny / strange / freaky dream? A Mass Effect or Dragon Age dream? Share them here. This should be interesting!

Last night my husband and little sister went to Suicide Squad when I went to bed. Little did I know I would have a Suicide Squad dream. Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, my 85 year old grandma (of all people!) and a few friends from college I haven't seen in years all dressed up to go see it. We were talking about how if anyone would recognize the stars of the show. We were climbing up the hill at my local university to go to their theatre (which only really has concerts there, not movies.) Jared was being weird AF. Because, you know, he's a method actor. He was setting people's seats on fire. My friends wouldn't sit with me because they were mad at me for some reason? Anyway. WEird dream.

A few nights ago I had a super weird multifandomcrossovermashup kinda dream. I don't remember that much of it anymore, but we were all in some sort of big courtroom or something, and there was BBC's Mycroft Holmes sitting where the Judge sits, and random people were scattered all around; I remember at least Tony Stark, Solas and Blackwall being there, as well as few of my IRL friends, my old teacher and random people I didn't know, Jeremy Renner, Misha Collins and my uncle, and myself, although I was in some kind of bodiless spectator mode. I have no idea what we were doing in that courtroom, Mycroft was just sitting up there staring at us all disapprovingly, Solas was arguing with Tony about the existence of spirits and such, Jeremy was glueing The Simpsons-esque pink donuts to sleeping Blackwall's beard while giggling like a little girl, Misha was asking some super obscure questions from my uncle and my old teacher. My friends were playing chess on an invisible board with an invisible ghost. At some point Jim Moriarty also appeared to tell us that he's going to move to London and that somebody had let Godzilla loose and it was destroying downtown Tokyo. There was a food fight at one point, Solas was turned into a cat, my teacher died, we had a brief visit from Obama, and it was just overall very, very odd, but I guess dreams usually are that way

My dreams often lack of sense lol. I dream about the alien movies a lot (Xenomorphs everywhere) hiding from them or, more fun, killing them with massive weapons (I told that already on the old BSN but best part was when Saren popped up from nowhere during one of those dreams and helped me to shoot them all ) At a period I had nightmares each nigh about my appartment. No windows... dust, spiders, mud everywhere. Something closed to silent hill I was living on a weird appartment and had to deal with many bad stuff IRL. The day I moved in a new home, my nightmares vanished. @ HawkeyeGod (Massively) I envy you. I rarely can control my dreams ~ Most of the time, my brain is on freewheel.

My therapist has analyzed a lot of em over the years. The most interesting I suppose are memories blended with fantasy I suppose depending on context they might be more disturbing then interesting. I've been in the Humvee that injured me a few times, except everyone besides me is missing limbs, arms, legs, heads. Its probably due to the fact that everyone inside that damn thing came out scarred from it, including me, although I kept my limbs unlike another fellow there so I don't complain.
The ones that aren't about Iraq or the war though...well they tend to be more obscure and hard to grasp the meaning behind them. Strange colors and shapes that I can't really place, locations I think I have been but don't recall ever being there.
Weird shit like that.

I very rarely remember my dreams. The most noteworthy instance in recent times was a month or so ago, two nights in a row I had dreams starring Dwayne Johnson. In one, he made me count baseball hats that we were apparently going to donate to the LAPD. The next night, we worked together in a restaurant. Truly riveting stuff.

Now I want to copy paste my stuff from the other thread, so a whole new forum can analyse my weird on a new level.
Without C/P
I have a recurring dream where I'm trapped in a maze with a group of doomed strangers. The maze is full of doors.
The person who has trapped us there is the devil. He's chasing us.
Everytime a door closes the room that was there disappears and is replaced by a new one. The doors swing on their hinges, so you see the room, then you don't.
Eventually as doors close before people can get to them or as people panic and close doors behind them. I find myself the last one left.
I make it to the centre of the maze and the devil is there. Only gravity is weighing me down to a crawl.
The thing that I'm crawling toward is an N64 console. I'm trying to eject the game and if I do I'll have defeated the devil.
I never make it.
It sounds stupid but I wake up covered in sweat from this shit every 6 months or so.

Zip, I think our dreams always want to show us informations about our mental health. When I'm too stressed, I have nightmares of all sorts all the time. Waking up covered in sweat ? oh yeah and know that too well. That dream you have, it's maybe when bad stuff happen to you IRL. And about the N64, it makes sense to me. Video games are a passion that we all share here and a way to feel better. This is maybe why ejecting the game can save your life because video games are your positve magical power. Next time, please, eject that damn game for good !

The last dream I had was a few days ago... I dreamed I was walking up a mountain and I got to the top but then an earthquake happened and I fell allllllll the way to the bottom and then woke up haha... pretty scary... When I was younger... I used to have some weird reoccurring dreams... one where I was walking through a... amusement arcade in a way??? like a house of horrors but it was just one long corridor... and therewerethings jumping out at me... I used to get that a lot I also had some dreams not so long ago which... carried on from each other??? It was a sub base... and there was a war... and piranhas kept coming during the night and eating anything in the water... it was weird... there was a story to it and every night the story would carry on... really creepy haha

The best dreams are the ones where you realize you're dreaming, and are able to actually lead the dream to something. Lucid dreaming, leading to dream control. The best thing ever. I get lucid dreams sometimes when I nap during the day, and end up steering them in the craziest directions. Not gonna lie, they usually turn into sex dreams (because hello, why wouldn't they?), but there was this one lucid dream I had in which I decided to fly. Ended up flying out of the Earth's atmosphere and crashing into a spaceship filled with Wookiees. In another, I visited Skyhold (only it didn't look like Skyhold all that much); but sadly, I woke up before I could do anything.

A few nights ago I dreamed that I was at an amusement park doing whatever one does at such a place. Anyway, I find myself hanging around the exit of this ride - a Splash Mountain type deal with people loaded onto small boats that come zipping down this water slide. So I'm watching the boats zip by and people are laughing and squealing, and then suddenly I see my sister on the ride.. but she isn't on one of the boats, she IS one of the boats. Lying on her back, buck naked with a group of people perched upon her. So she zips by, the riders cheer and I woke up.

I have lucid dreams a few times a year but you need to be able to sleep well to get there. (and my sleep schedule is fubar) My dream last night was pedestrian yet pleasant: flirting with my husband

I've never been there before but its like home. In tribal culture in north west Australia, when the body dies the spirit goes to a place on the land, a special place it knows and remembers from a time before time existed. That becomes your new home. One of my grandfathers interpreted my dream as what my place might look like as I remember it. Or at least, one that I'd created in my dreams for me to go to when I was a sleep. Sorry if that doesn't mean much, you just got me thinking is all.

DREAMS

Post by The Hype Himself on Aug 6, 2016 5:57:58 GMT
I've had some freaky dreams before.
I think somewhere, somehow, I acquired a latent fear of squid. I've had a few dreams where I'm swimming in the deep ocean, and out of nowhere, a squid grabs me by the head with a tentacle and drags me deeper.
I honestly don't know if it's a fear or not. I'm inherently fascinated by squid, more so than octopi or cuttlefish. I've always thought it would be the bees knees to have a pet squid, and I don't mind calamari one bit (call it my vengeance upon thee)
I've had dreams that weren't nightmares per se, but weird dreams where I'm in an aquarium/fish-tank/lab-thing all filled with squid, and it's dark and dank, and I'm on edge the whole time.
Knowing that the bastards can actually fly doesn't help matters.

DREAMS
Aug 6, 2016 17:11:17 GMT
Post by Deleted on Aug 6, 2016 17:11:17 GMT
I consider myself as an active dreamer. I have gategorized my dreams as follows 1)Normal dream, every night. Just the usual everyday stuff, go there, see some people, talk some people etc, go another place. 2)Adventure dream. Usually contains plot from games or movies ie. I'm a vampire jumping on rooftops etc. 3)Everything goes to hell dreams ie. Dreams I have when I'm stressed. Nothing works, I get lost, everything gets broken. 4)The weird shit dreams that can't come from my head, psychedelic high on something, horror, not from this world dreams. Honestly don't know where these come from.
I love the dreams where I can control things, or when flying. Have these sometimes, but not often.

I have an almost constantly recurring dream in various forms in which my body refuses to obey my commands properly. I've talked to my friends and it seems like a very common occurrence. For example, i'll dream i'm in a fight and i'll go to throw a punch and i'll throw the punch properly, but it'll have no force behind it and it'll feel as though i'm moving in a vat of syrup or something. It's incredibly disconcerting for someone like me who is relatively active and trained in a variety of martial arts.

It might be related to sleep paralysis. Your brain locks up your muscles to prevent you from acting out experiences in your dreams physically, which can potentially cause harm to yourself. I have actually figured out a way to enact it, depending on what position I sleep in. Most people experience sleep paralysis at least once in their lifetime. It can actually be pretty terrifying, since you're essentially awake mentally in a body that is still asleep. The worst part about it though is that your brain is still in stand-by mode enough to cause you to experience sensations of pressure, terror, and the feeling of being watched by something just outside of your peripheral vision. I'm a long-term sufferer it, though when I changed my sleep position (I'm more of a side/fetal position sleeper by nature) to being on my stomach, it seems to solve the problem. The sensation for me seems to be triggered whenever I'm nodding off to sleep and am just about to enter REM sleep when I'm stimulated by something that reactivates my brain. When I was younger, I used to be afraid of being abducted by aliens, and I suspect that fear comes from the sensations of terror that you get (I always felt as though a malevolent presence was lingering just outside my point of view) and the total body immobility that tended to precede many abduction claimants stories. Now, while I still experience it from time to time, and still feel the sensations, I'm much more casual about it as I know the science behind the issue, and having simply grown used to the experience.

Trying to run, hit, or lift something but can't because everything is so heavy. The other variation is that someone attacks me and I try to defend myself, but no matter how many times I hit or stab (if I have a knife) the attacker, he won't stop/die, like he is immortal on invulnerable.

I tend to have odd dreams that lead me to think I play BW games too much. I go on so many adventures! My dreams are also so bright, so vivid and colorful (most common are rainbows covering the sky as natural as clouds) that I mix reality with them sometimes. Second, I've met people in my dreams and carry a conversation with them like I do with people when I wake up (including dead loved ones) and find I can go back to the same dream and continue where I left off and they were waiting for me. It's SO weird! I feel like I'm not dreaming at all but in a different reality or something. I can even read. Nothing is jumbled in my dreams. I never feel rested. I've never had a peaceful dream in all my 32 years unless I am knocked out from sheer exhaustion (I never remember my dreams when that happens).
If anyone could explain what this is all about, I'd love to know!
