I will start another Witcher book: Baptism of Fire: My copy has Geralt on the cover....who eez dees woooman, Teeegaan.....?
Don`t know who she is either (well maybe she`s representing Milva, the female archer that is accompanying Geralt in this book?), my copy has Geralt too, but mine it`s the portuguese version and i always search for the uk/us versions to post in this thread.

Just about finished with Zeroes. It had a reaaaaaly slooooow start. Things didn't start coming together until at least 75% of the way through but it had a nice ending. Still won't rate it more than a three but I'd recommend it. I'll post whatever I next pick up.

Read monster hunter international per a friends recommendation. It’s pretty good for a supernatural action gun porn novel. But if your first book is saving the world from an over the top threat, where do you go from there?
Then went back to my classics and reread the first 5 books in the myth series by Robert Asprin. You can read each book in a few hours and I think they are fantastic fun. They get weak around book 8 but overall I love the series. First series I turned into kindle books even though I own all the paperbacks. His shorter Phule series is fun as well. He passed too young. I could have read his books forever. It’s nice to read a lighthearted fun novel now and then.
Probably rolling into some Wodehouse after reading all of Roberts Asprins books again. I’m in the mood for light books.

So finished book 7 of The Expanse yesterday, read all seven in a row which was a blast but have to say that for me after the first 4, numbers 5 & 6 weren't quite as good and 7 I am still not sure about. It is definitely mainly a set-up for book 8 (due late March which I am looking forward to) I just hope book 9 which is supposed to be the last one isn't too much longer after that.
Anyway all over a thoroughly entertaining series so far and I am looking forward to book 8 & 9. Now if they'd only move faster with the TV series!!!!!!

Finished a 3 book series by Verner vinge - zones of thought series Was pretty good but had some weaknesses as well and was more of a two book series and then another story a bit associated with the other two.
While on vacation I read the 'Spin' trilogy, Spin, Axis and Vortex by Robert Charles Wilson. This was an excellent series of books imo and I would recommend it to anyone.
Since I am all out of sci fi kindle books at the moment I started on my complete works of wilkie collins (Dickens era author) and am reading the 'Lady in White'. So far it is pretty good but it is early on, I do like the authors writing style.

Finally made it back to the Witcher books. I'm about half way through "The Time of Contempt." Still don't like Yennefer. I'm also finding it ever more difficult to come up with a reason to side with the Scoi'atel when I replay W1. I was already struggling to find one, but in the books they are secretly backed by Nilfgaard, which makes them even worse.

I'm reading a norwegian historical sort-of-biography. Alv Erlingsson - En adelsmanns undergang (A nobleman's downfall), by Tore Skeie. As the title suggests, it revolves around norwegian aristocrat and cousin to king Magnus Lagabøte, Alv Erlingsson of Tornberg - his life and eventual downfall. It's very interesting to read about Norway in the 1200s. I love history, and I've always found medieval times especially fascinating. I'm loving it so far. I don't think it's been translated into english.

That whole relationship was waaaaaay creepy for me.

SAKURA is the most famous android rock star of all time. When a secret cabal hacks her system, she's transformed into a deadly assassin, forced to kill at their bidding. Sakura's enslavement teaches her the meaning of heartbreak, triggering an evolution into something more than human. Far from free, and with little time left, she must fight her programming to save Japan and the people of the world from becoming slaves of a powerful corporation that consider her a tool and their intellectual property.

Oh definitley but if he felt compelled to go there at all he has handled it well, and it is an interesting twist to see a polygamous relationship portrayed positively in fiction...yes i 'read ahead'. Its actually funny you should quote me here too since I'm still plugging away on it and wanted to fire off an update but this might be in contention for my favorite Harrington novel. Its just been fascinating reading the slow march to war.

Not to mention the whole mentor/protegee thing adds a certain squick factor. Bah, the whole think makes me wish he never killed off Paul Tankersley
My favorite is probably a tie between The Honor of the Queen and Flag in Exile (What can I say, I like Grayson!) Sadly, I found the quality of the series took a steep dive after Echoes of Honor. I haven't even read the last two books.

Also i do love White Haven which probably complicates the whole relationship subplot for me.

Just finished reading this book. Just an excellent book that I would recommend to anyone that likes 19th century literature. Some really skillful plot twists, some great memorable characters. A different style of novel in that it has several narrators through the novel but it works. I am still in 'Victorian reading mode' and not in 'Sci Fi reading mode' at the moment so I will probably start another Wilkie Collins novel next.

I am reading the Cartel Trilogy by Don Winslow. Halfway through the first book, The Power Of The Dog, I had to take a break because it is a very intense story. But it is excellent and very well researched.
