Off the top of my head: - Mass Effect 2 - Suicide Mission
- Fallout New Vegas - Vault 11, I think? The one where Overseers had been "sacrificed" at the end of their terms and it all turned out to be a psychological experiment
- Rainbow Six Raven Shield - The multiplayer prison map
- DA:O - The Fade (I gather some people really hate this but I found it one of the better "alternate reality" sequences in a game)
- Mass Effect 3 - Final Tuchanka Mission
- SOMA - The final trek across the ocean floor
- DA:I - The time travel sequence where the Inquisitor and Dorian jump into an alternate future
- Dead Space 3 - The Zero-G parts near the beginning where your ship breaks up and then you go out to investigate the abandoned vessels

I have many, although most are from games such as the one I am going to list here. Aka unpopular bullshit most people never heard of little lone played.
Kamurocho Hills or specifically the primary office tower featured in Yakuza 2's final stage.
Ultimately the stage itself is nothing remarkable, just some half completed office building that's under construction but still maintains several floors that are furnished and you have you fight your way through before making it to the upper floors and eventually the roof during the finale of the game. However the backdrop it sets for the final boss is magnificent.
Amid winter snow you and the final boss basically beat the shit out of each other following the final bit of the story on the uncompleted roof, a note worthy addition here is the caveat that both you have you have sustained two gunshot ones a piece(its low caliber subsonic bullshit though because ya know Japan) and while a bomb ticks down after the would be puppet master is defeated, you and your rival of the game basically throw down.
The stage itself is sort of only a window dressing for the actual build up and context of the fight but its a stage I will never forget due to its symbolism though.

You don't see them often! Anyway, I agree. Yakuza 2 remains the best game in the series so far, Ryuji is a great villain, Kaoru is an awesome support and love interest, and the overall atmosphere of that fight with Goda is stunning. Two dragons fighting it out for the title of Dragon of Dojima. Oh, and the excellent soundtrack is composed by Norihiko Hibino, known for his jazzy compositions for Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta. Probably why the game's ending feels similar to Sons of Liberty.

Yakuza never really got big in the west, but I have always found that overly romanticized dreck rendition of criminal life somewhat entertaining. And have played the majority of the games, including that one after 4 we don't talk about.

It might have another chance with 0. The presumed best in the series, definitely best combat. Playing Kiwami at the moment and planning to import 6. It's one of my favorite franchises.

Portal 2 has a good amount of twists and awesome level moments. The finale was particularly awesome though.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodline's Haunted Hotel. ^ This! Whenever I replay this game and get up to this quest, I'm simultaneously excited and dreading it. I'm a pretty seasoned horror game player these days (compared to when I first played VTMB) but this level always makes me so jumpy and skittish, I love it. So many of VTMB's quests were awesome, I always enjoy Hollywood's entire segment and the Giovanni mansion. Such a gem of a game. /brb reinstalling

This is a favorite of mine. For levels other than thus, hard to say. I have quite a few favorites, Halo 1, 2, and 3 getting all the love (except the Library, screw that level). For Mass Effect, I enjoy the Virmire because A: it's beautiful and B: I can remove an annoying character and make puns about her. Did you hear about the girl I left on Virmire? She's Ash. I'll post more later.

Too bad they had to use a beta type version of the Source engine, otherwise it may have cut down on it being buggy. I wish someone would make another VtB game. There might be hope! I think Paradox Entertainment now owns the World of Darkness franchise, and they seem to be wanting to get into the computer RPG business. A few weeks ago, I took part in one of their surveys about what players liked in cult classic RPG games (VTMB among them), what they found important and what made them replay a RPG game. It asked all the right questions about all the right games, and I enthusiastically clicked "Yes" at the final question - "may we contact you for further questionnaires later?"

The most memorable zone for me was in SWTOR, in the Terror from Beyond raid, the last boss. I like their entire Gree setting/aesthetics, but that fight just combined so many awesome elements that it always made me get that feeling of being really in a different world doing the really epic thing, no nonsense, no suspense of disbelief... just awesome.
I loved to bits a lot of other games, and overall feel & settings, but this one is not going hazy on me as I am playing something else.
I also love the Hutball map (the first one) in SWTOR & Novarre Coast WZ.

The Facility level in GoldenEye 007 for the N64 is one of my favourite levels ever. Still play it to this day. A lot of good levels in that game actually. The whole of Half Life 2 as it's one big level really anyway, but particularly favourite sections are with the vehicles and Nova Prospekt and Ravenholm are good FPS sections. Very atmospheric game Half Life 2. Cant wait for Black Mesa to be completed.

It's Ace Combat 4's mission 08 - Shattered Skies. Being able to tag the super ace Yellow 13, and have it acknowledged in game after being punked by Yellow Squad a few missions back feels good.
Random: "A Yellow's hit trailing smoke, who's kill was that?" Yellow 13: "Who was it that shot me, see who's responsible for that shot?! Random Yellow: "It's a ribbon!"
