Some posters recently mentioned Tales of the Jedi and I remembered something. In Mass Effect the way the Rachni were discovered by exploring unexplored Mass Relay routes. Doesn't it remind anyone of the two young explorers in Tales of the Jedi, who were exploring unexplored hyperspace routes and instead discovered the ancient Sith Empire. Which led to the Great Hyperspace War. I remember reading some comics that covered this "Great" Hyperspace War and it honestly felt like a few minor skirmishes with the Sith getting their ass royally kicked rather quickly. I was a bit disappointed. Expected something on a large galactic scale.

If you ever played KOTOR in one of the loading screens that's the name it uses for the war.

The war with Exar Kun was much better.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Rachni War was partly inspired by ToTJ lore, but i think the Rachni War might be a homage to Starship Troopers too. I understand that Bastilla Shan was originally supposed to be Nomi' Sunrider's now-adult daughter Vima (given it's set a decade or so after the Great Sith War)

Hence the change to Bastila Shan. It would had been interesting to see what the original story was about. Because I am a fan of Ulic Qel-Droma, and part of the reason why I like the Exile so much in KOTOR 2 is because they were cut from the Force like Ulic was. Revan was inspired by both Exar Kun (thirst for forbidden knowledge), and Ulic Qel-Droma (A Jedi with good intentions who falls to the darkside, and also beats Mandalore the indomitable in combat).

Such a missed opportunity is saddening, but Ulic's downfall and redemption by Vima is my favorite character arc of TOTJ books, and arguably the entire Old Republic era too.

If you're a racist, you're not a Star Wars fan, and should leave this thread. Hopefully shortly after, leave this forum and finally this planet. Go to Tatooine maybe, get some sand.
May The Force Be With You, Always.
Ewan McGregor is a good man.

Kenobi episode three also contradicts A New Hope. In ANH...
Darth Vader: ''The circle is now complete. When i left you, i was but a learner, now i am the master.''
Kenobi EP3...
*Vader sautéing Kenobi over an open flame after the latter puts up a worse fight against him than Luke did on Bespin, and needed to be dragged away.* Hopefully they address this because ANH's dialogue has Vader admitting that he was inferior during their last encounter. They also need to address Leia's dialogue that she recorded for R2-D2 in ANH because it implies that she didn't meet Kenobi beforehand.

Racist attacks on Leia's actress who is white? also, ''Luke did i ever tell you about the time when i was nearly barbequed to death by your father 10 years ago on a backwater mining planet? It all started like any other day on Tatooine. I worked as a butcher then, how ironic. After returning home from work i would make stew from a sliver of manta ray steak that i smuggled out in a folded piece of cloth. During my daily ritual of wallowing in self loathing while eating dinner, i had received a transmission from Leia's adopted father Bail Organa who was a good friend, and one that i will tell you about at another time. Back to the story at hand, Bail tasked me with rescuing Princess Leia after she was kidnapped but i had refused until he showed up in person...''
1 hour later... ''and she was a good friend.''

Lmao. Tribalism. That's enough of this thread for the year. Truth be told, I haven't seen Kenobi, and don't really intend to. I have no idea if this actress is any good or not. Nor do I have any personal opinion on her. But yeah, it is tribalism because Disney selectively supports their actors from online abuse. And given how they treated John Boyega, they have absolutely NO high ground upon which to moralize on racism...

I was speaking of a different tribalism of course, as you are well aware.
My post was really simple, and neither of you has addressed the issue in my OP. Silence screams fella.

That's the old SW, the new one is all about character assassinating the old ones while the Mouse props up its new ones. At this point the Mouse is just puppeteering SW's corpse in hopes of making some money from it.

Then I'm afraid I don't understand the issue. I don't think anyone here was making racist attacks on anyone, child or adult. We were, of course, poking fun at Disney's hypocrisy. But seriously, I don't see the issue here.

I was speaking of a different tribalism of course, as you are well aware. My post was really simple, and neither of you has addressed the issue in my OP. Silence screams fella. You along with Disney's PR department poisoned the well by claiming without proof that the racist Instagram messages that Reva's actress (mediocre and weakest part of the show tbh) had received were done by members of the fandom even though any unaligned troll brigade could be the perpetrators. Now we're seeing all legit criticism of the Kenobi show being smothered by the round the clock reporting of Moses' harassment incident. Here we have you a troll with with a political axe to grind, one who never contributed anything of note to this thread popping in here crying racism. What makes this event even more bizarre is that James Earl Jones, Billy Dee Williams, Samuel L Jackson, John Boyega (initially), Oscar Isaac, Forest Whittaker, Carl Weathers, and Rosario Dawson were all well received by this fandom but now all of a sudden there's a discussion about the alleged SW fans' racism that now conveniently overshadows all criticism about Kenobi.
