I was speaking of a different tribalism of course, as you are well aware. My post was really simple, and neither of you has addressed the issue in my OP. Silence screams fella. You along with Disney's PR department poisoned the well by claiming without proof that the racist Instagram messages that Reva's actress (mediocre and weakest part of the show tbh) had received were done by members of the fandom even though any unaligned troll brigade could be the perpetrators. Now we're seeing all legit criticism of the Kenobi show being smothered by the round the clock reporting of Moses' harassment incident. Here we have you a troll with with a political axe to grind, one who never contributed anything of note to this thread popping in here crying racism. What makes this event even more bizarre is that James Earl Jones, Billy Dee Williams, Samuel L Jackson, John Boyega (initially), Oscar Isaac, Forest Whittaker, Carl Weathers, and Rosario Dawson were all well received by this fandom but now all of a sudden there's a discussion about the alleged SW fans' racism that now conveniently overshadows all criticism about Kenobi. We could go on and mention Diego Luna,, Donnie Yen, Wen Jiang, and Riz Ahmed. I mean, let's face it, Rogue One is pretty much the one Disney Wars movie that's generally considered good quality.

Kenobi episode three also contradicts A New Hope. In ANH...
Darth Vader: ''The circle is now complete. When i left you, i was but a learner, now i am the master.''
Kenobi EP3...
*Vader sautéing Kenobi over an open flame after the latter puts up a worse fight against him than Luke did on Bespin, and needed to be dragged away.* Hopefully they address this because ANH's dialogue has Vader admitting that he was inferior during their last encounter. They also need to address Leia's dialogue that she recorded for RD-D2 in ANH because it implies that she didn't meet Kenobi beforehand. That's the old SW, the new one is all about character assassinating the old ones while the Mouse props up its new ones. At this point the Mouse is just puppeteering SW's corpse in hopes of making some money from it. That's why the last Star Wars film I watched regrettably was The Last Jedi, since then I have not watched any of their shows nor am I subscribed to Disney +. After what they did to Luke. I still play the old Star Wars games like KOTOR 2 or Jedi Knight II.

TFA was OK, but it was a lazy gender flipped rehash of ANH. Anyway - Mandalorian aside, Star Wars hasn't had anything I've really loved that wasn't a video game since 1984 (or whenever RotJ came out). And I was 6, then.

Glad that I do so, seeing what the Mouse has done to this franchise.

I love how terrifying they made Vader in this. Also wow they are a lot more violent than I suspected, from seeing someone cut in half to hearing the dang neck of a child snap.

I had to laugh when he started to cook Kenobi. You can tell he was still seething about Mustafar. My only issue with the scene is that he could have parted the flames after Kenobi was carried away.

He was definitely like “I’ve been waiting 10 years for this.” You could even hear how seething he was when Obi-Wans asks shocked what he has become and his response was a venom-filled “I am what You made me.” I saw someone comment about Vader just standing there that I liked. Seeing the droid pull Obi-Wan to safety had Vader thinking Obi-Wan could have done that for him but didn’t.

The abuse of Plot Induced Stupidity is one of the major issues with the show's writing. Like how the jedi escaped the Inquisitors at the Cantina, everyone who chased Leia had their iq drop to double digit numbers and suddenly growing two left feet. Reva not using force jump to reach the rooftop Obi Wan had the shootout on, The Grand Inquisitor letting his guard down in front of an enraged Reva.

Aye, it's frustrating when they make the characters have a brain fart when you know that they could do something then and there. (The Halo TV show is the worst offender compared to this show though...).

I get that the actress has received some sort of harassment and there’s a whole thing about racism in the Star Wars fandom that seems a bit trumped up…
But can I just say I’m just not that into the character? It’s more the writing than the actress, but I’m just not interested in this character as a villain so far. Her unexplained Kenobi obsession is kinda thin as motivation goes. Her getting upstaged by Vader’s much richer relationship with Kenobi isn’t helping.
Well, maybe she’ll turn out to be a former Youngling and they’ll develop some pathos around that. It just isn’t there yet for me.

But I am very curious what will happen in the latter half, since I didn’t expect Vader encountering Obi-Wan until like Ep. 5. They'll probably make Kenobi go through a Rocky training montage, and have a rematch with Vader because in ANH the latter admitted inferiority to Kenobi when they last met, and i expect them to maintain some consistency too by having the Grand Inquisitor's apparent death be a fake out. Another positive i can give this episode is the mole rat alien's design aside from Vader.

If anyone here had criticized her as a talentless hack, like I have a particular video game "writer" numerous times, I wouldn't have said a single thing because lol fuck this show no I haven't watched it. However, some people raced to some sort of defense.... I hadn't called anyone out. So, my questions have been well-answered by how my statement turned into a tribunal. Very enlightening.

I wasn't going to post anything about Kenobi, because it's obvious that the show is a failure. Sure, there's going to be some cool scenes and good characters, and Ewan and Hayden, but no, it's just meh. What made me post though, was this: They slapped some thujas across the track and called it a day. That's just cheap and lazy, and more akin to Stargate SG1 than Star Wars. Bad show, that one.

I felt nothing watching him March through the town randomly killing people Because Reasons. It was just…dull. I didn’t expect that I would like this less than BoBF…but here we are.

Well chosen words. It would take a very intelligent script to make him scary. Yeah, I don't even.. Indeed we are. And I really wanted to see Ewan and Hayden reprise their roles, dammit.

You are Concern Trolling and got called out for it. The regulars in this thread are lock step when it comes to our stance on online harassment like when we discussed the abuse Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, Kelly Tran, Gina Carano, and even Kathleen Kennedy had received and don't need to reaffirm our position on the subject to you. You would know this if you were a consistent participant in this thread but that isn't your objective. There was no one racing to the defense of Moses' harassment. Pointing out Disney's hypocrisy in regards to Carano and Boyega, on top of the weaponization of the abuse to obfuscate genuine discussion of the show isn't a defense of. Plus this has been stated with absolute certainty by you but what parts of the fandom have been identified as the harassers? Butthurt Grand Inquisitor fanboys, jilted Brother 5 lovers, who? Or are these people unaligned political ideologues with no genuine interest in the IP like the situation with Gina Carano's harassers?
