Reyes Vidal - No longer A Mystery (Official Thread)

Omg, I really hoped for something else than sweatpants. Another one.

I don't think that Sloane and Reyes will be interchangeable characters going forward.  IMO Sloane being potentially dead, and Reyes putting Keema as his front breaks that connection between the two characters.  In all pts Reyes is effectively a free agent at the end which gives BW plenty of scope to develop him independently.  Reyes doesn't seem to be one to hold a grudge, so regardless of earlier choices, I wouldn't expect him to be against working with Ryder if needs demanded it.  Also, while it is absolutely fair for Ryder to dislike Reyes, he has not done anything horrendous to Ryder that would justify them refusing to work with him if it was required toward a greater good...  I realise that some players would not be happy if this was forced on them, but that is largely their own personal dislike rather than ingame IMO...  I mean,  I personally really could not stand Liara throughout the entire MET...  She was still friends with my Shep .

If we are to play as Ryder in a future game,  I would be happy for circumstances to lead to Reyes being a squadmate, and in general I would like to be working less for the Andromada Initiative, especially as it seems that it is quite possible that there will be a darker side to the organization yet to be revealed.  I do think that him not being a squadmate in MEA did add to the character though as the circumstances fitted, but I think continuing that distant relationship could get tired if continued through the series.
