Are you guys planning to create subforums along the lines of official BSN? At the least it would probably be worth having a separate "story/plot" and "strategy/mechanics" forums for each. Asking before starting to post threads that might be helpful for ME1-ME3.

I'm not sure if the older games would need them but maybe have them for Andromeda/Inquisition. I think it would be best to have as few subforums as possible for the time being.

It something I thought about while setting up. I felt like if I created too many subforums then we would start seeing too little posts in some of them so I combined a few.
I think I might do it for ME:A and DA:I, as well as bring back the romance forums since that's half of what BSN is about =P
Edit: So I went ahead and created the DA:I once. I'll create ME:A ones a bit later once we actually have information about the game(assuming they ever tell us something significant).

I wondering if there should be a Secret IP subforum or if it's too soon and to keep the Twitter Thread/discussion around that in the OT section?
And speaking of Twitter Threads, I've noticed a number of people complaining on the BioWare Forums that tweets/info sometimes get lost in pages of discussion. So I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile having 2 threads - one which just an admin/mod can post to which is only for tweets & info and a separate one for discussion (like it is currently). People then could post to the discussion thread, then (as time permits) admins/mods can copy those tweets/info over the reference-only thread.
Thoughts?

If there really isn't going to be a lot of traffic than it doesn't matter. Or if some of the decent resources for things get pinned then I guess that is also ok.

I, personally, was never bothered by the "padding" of the discussion that occurred in the Twitter threads. It was like a brief dose of discussion if you didn't have the time to check other threads - a BSN Lite, so to speak. Maybe we could try to gather a general opinion on this forum? Ideally, with a poll?

I set up the character/romance forums as well, since I know those were big ones for the BSN. For the older games I think the traffic will be low enough for story/mechanics in one forum, but I'll separate them out if there is a lot of traffic. People then could post to the discussion thread, then (as time permits) admins/mods can copy those tweets/info over the reference-only thread. Thoughts? I have to admit to never really going into the Twitter threads much, so I'll leave this one open for discussion for the time being to see what people want.

But I noticed it was one of the most common recurring complaints in the Twitter Threads so I thought... maybe we should set up separate ones from the get-go? Perhaps a poll is the way to go.

If we do end up giving this a try, it would leave us with a General Mass Effect Andromeda Discussion thread and the accompanying Twitter Thread. Maybe not enforce a mod-only rule, but I do agree that some sort of restriction should be kept in place if we do decide to separate them. Maybe like a symbolical 140 character limit? In addition to keeping the possible discussion directly related to the tweet in question. Eh, it's probably a too complicated approach. That's why I prefer the One Thread solution - we keep things very simple and it just keeps flowing.

Speaking of subforums... I was wondering if we're going to get any specific to each of the Legacy games? (so at least NWN1, NWN2, BG etc. Granted, it depends on how much of the community interested in said Legacy games comes across. At the moment it looks like a lot of the NWN people will probably be going to the Vault and BG people have the Beamdog forums. Still, if there was enough interest and posting could we get subforums for these games?

Just a suggestion, a little section for fans' creations : fanarts, fanfics, etc ... ? Agree on that one. Does this board support sub-subforums? If it does, I want suggest more structured scheme for ME MEA ME3 -> ME3 Multiplayer ME2 ME ME General (for lore and other things related to ME as a whole) -> Fan Creations -> Characters and Romance -> Technical issues and modding (people here are no EA tech support, but could help a lot anyway) I like original BSN structure, but I never got the point of each game having it's own Character subforum, since most of important characters are present through the trilogy.

I want the creation of "Other Video Games" section, "Video Games News and Tech" and the "Polls" section. Or their combination.
In Video Games News and Tech section we can include these threads that are very useful:
"Steam / Gog Sales" "Video Game News" "Hardwares and softwares Q&A"

I think the rule has to be, start the thread where it makes most sense. Mods can always move it, if it becomes an issue.

How about a general subforum for all the Mass Effect lore? For discussions about the universe that aren't linked to one specific game?
Also, a 'other media' subforum (like the books, comics, animated movie)?
