The rail nodes have some challenges to complete that might actually take more effort. And - as always, anything goes solo, but with 3 ppl at your side it is generally easier. Like the Lua node challenges (I think it's Lua) where you have to beat 3 riddle rooms - many can only be done with teammates. I soloed that challenge and it was a pain to run through the maps hoping for a doable solo riddle room to spawn. Those tend to be what holds me up. It doesn’t take that long to get to the rails themselves. I just unlocked Phobos. Finding 3 Cephy scans? Might take longest. But with a frame + pet that has loot radar with minimap range it's actually quickly done. Or have a buddy that has it equipped.

Mag's latest rework turned her into a nuker that can be built a number of ways, she's a really strong frame now, though a bit lacking vs the infestation. Build either for duration to nuke rooms with her 3, or for range to do the same, but with her 2.
My early game advice would be something like this: crouch-jump to bullet jump forward, aim down sights, roll, then glide until you land, repeat is the fastest way to traverse terrain. Silly, but it pays off to practice it early. Mods are the best way to gain power: the most important mods are, in no specific order, serration and split chamber (rifles), point blank and hell's chamber (shotguns), hornet strike and barrel diffusion (secondaries), pressure points and fury (melee) for weapons, plus vitality, redirection, flow, streamline, intensify, stretch, continuity for warframes. If you miss any of those, I (and many others) have tons available, get in touch. Once you have them, ranking them a few points up will make a huge difference. You don't want to miss out on them - I should know, it took me 50 hours to get my first serration to drop! Blast through the starchart until you either get to Uranus, where the good quests start, or find the drops for a frame you'd like to build. Incidentally, Rhino is farmable from the first boss for a reason. If in doubt, build Rhino! Your starting guns are terrible, level them up and sell them. Get something else for tougher missions asap. The Strun shotgun can be bought for credits and will create an immediate relief. The Hek will vaporize anything you point it at on the starchart. The Atomos is a great secondary. Never sell the blueprints you get from quests! If you build the frames/guns/whatever, don't sell them! Currently, they are only re-acquirable through plat (quest rewards), or not at all (login rewards).
The wiki is the second best resource for in-game knowledge. Other players are the best resource. Even if you prefer to solo, send FRs out. Join a clan. Ask questions, nobody will mind. Ask for people to join your missions to speed your progress up ,eg. if a junction's reqs are giving you trouble. Players can "taxi" you to planets and nodes out of your reach if you need materials or if an important alert is going on, though you will still need to unlock those nodes later on.
There are two true endgame activities: fashion frame, and helping new players find their way into this messy, but wonderful game. The community is in general very nice, even more so the folks from here!
Welcome to Warframe! ...stay a while, stay forever!
EDIT: forgot to mention the FREESWORD code redeem the code at the market console in the orbiter to get a free heatsword, with its slot and catalyst. It will help you through the starchart, and once you find better melee options, you can sell the sword and keep the slot!

Anyone tried the Captura? Yesterday, when I ran the Sacrifice quest twice - yet only found 1 somachord - I had this idea how to soothe meself and share why I play this game with some illustrations.

I will say I’m a bit frustrated about the quests. I actually tried Warframe way back when it was first released. I couldn’t get into it then, it felt a bit bare and without enough context to it’s action. I’m getting more into it now, but the interesting quests I’ve heard about are locked behind a lot of busywork. I think I finished the main quests in less than 80 hours. It helped me immensely to have friends and being a part of a clan (thank you Gileadan !). With friends or pugs you can do better resource farming. More players -> more enemies -> more loot drop. Also some mission types (archwing, defense fex. imo) are so boring and annoying OR impossible to finish alone that it helps a lot to have people with you. So don't be afraid to pug or ask friends to join you (or carry you to places you can't get yet). I am Vella84 in warframe, you can send me a fr, if you wish

Found the Captura, made some nice slow-mo action, but dint find the right angle or light to shoot THE Saryn booty pic. But it's quite nice to look at the anmations from all angles.

I just watched the new Vallis Orb and Railjack gameplay videos, and I think they look pretty interesting. The New War teaser video, not sure what to think about that though. Did I hear right when I heard the mother say something like "They seduced you, they used you. They took away your fire." ?

Ye, maybe we can play it a bit like Starfleet Bridge crew - just with more action and mayhem. Dint see the story video, but it kinda sounds familiar that quote?

Well, I just finished The Second Dream. I might drop some money for platinum to celebrate. Hair options seem pretty limited anyway though.

Congrats! That's quite the turning point in the story I came to Warframe a little after the quest was released, but imagine the people who had played since day 1, The Second Dream must have resonated quite a bit with them! However, I do suggest powering through The War Within as well. Not (only) because of the story (I am in the minority by not being a fan, but YMMV), but because it opens up a couple of additional systems for you to play with, as well as granting you access to sorties: a daily trio of high level missions (40-100) with some special modifiers, that reward some hard-to-find or unique items. While they do feel daunting at first, there's usually a frame or two that can trivialize all of them.
Gileadan, I could do with that Stinging Thorn if it's still available! Perhaps it'll convince me to use daggers for something else than Covert Lethality finishers Also a remainder I have a garage sale of sorts still going on (on the previous page)! This is not the time to be courteous; do summon the spirit of Nef Anyo, (s)Alad V and the like

My spirit of Nef Anyo is currently focused on the freshly unvaulted Rhino Prime and Nyx Prime. I'm still relatively new, having started only in October last year, so I have a lot of catching up to do with vaulted stuff. I'll probably spend the weekend in the void.

Any suggestion for getting Nitian Extract? There are at least 4 alerts every 24 hours that grant Nitain. Your bets bet. Just keep looking at the alerts and do them in between. There is Nitain in reactor sabotage but with like 2% chance so I wouldn't bother with that. In the time you might get lucky you'd do at least the same amount with alerts.
---
Finally found the Sacrifice tones after Hamletic set me on the right track. Tried to celebrate with a Lua spy run I got a bit rusty in, but no luck with Gunblade stances. To soothe my RNG pain I watched female frames bullet jump in slow-mo captura mode.

Since we are on the subject, I just had the most amazingly generous pug group yet just now. I dropped into a lith capture with a bunch of high MR randoms, all geared up to their teeth. We ended up making some 10 runs together, one player kept tossing radiant versions of the unvaulted lith relic in the grinder. We got the rare part on the very first run (boltor p bp, had still been looking for that one), but they kept queuing new radiants up. From the second run onwards, I started tossing in vaulted relics as a thank you, and another pug followed suit. We ended up with uncommon or rare vaulted bits on almost all runs - including three boltor p bps, and a saryn p bp off an intact relic! This all was made a bit heartwarming because the RNG seemed to recognize the overall generosity within the group, and rewarded us with good fortune. Not much banter, but a few "wow" and "thank you" and "gg" at the end, just a low-key, amazing group of players!

I had a really nice pug game the other day. We were on venus black sector survival (I need alloy plate to get myself a kitty cat). Half the time pugs don't know how to grind/farm it properly and just run around the map like headless chicken but not this time. I brought Nekros to increase loot and one of the guys had Frost so he put on the bubble. All four of us stood in the bubble killing everything that came to us, neatly dropping the loot, easy for picking. Very pleasant 20 minutes
