Well I went back and made dwarfquistor 2h warrior and I think I found what I wanted. I have done dwarfquisitors before and have tried other things but I always find myself going back to the dwarves. Already got further with him than I did the Trevelyan I made a few days ago. Got everyone recruited except for Dorian and Cole. Going to head into Redcliffe Village next time I fire up the game and meet with the mages. Gonna recruit them in this playthrough. For me this is when the game starts to pick up.

Now that I got Andromeda taken care of until patches roll out, I am back on my trilogy run though. Considering it my final Canon run until whatever comes next.
So starting with my gloriously bearded dwarven Noble. So far gotten the boot from home, survived the joining, cleared out an old warden fort and got a shiny new golem. Having a good time getting along with the team and being a bit flirty with a certain red head. Currently deciding which allies to go seek out first..He isn't quite ready to go back home, so looking at the elves or mages first.

deadlydwarf No, we weren't dressed as special characters, that costumes were our creations. Have you read Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan? No, not yet, but I'm always looking for new steampunk literature - is it good? Sorry, I'm not moch around at the moment. I did catch a cold and don't feel like playing much

I'm thinking about whether to spare or kill Zevran in my next run. I'm leaning towards killing him because my character will actually pay attention when it is mentioned that he is part of "an order of assassins", so it would be irresponsible to let him go and take more lives. Thing is, I'm not sure if a Dalish elf would know what the word "assassin" means. I could never bring myself to kill Zevran - he is one of the few characters in DAO, I really like. And deadlydwarf is right: with playing a Dalish you might be more inclined to spare him, because he is the only other elf around.

I did catch a cold and don't feel like playing much It's young adult and I find it interesting. It's a mix of biopunk and steampunk in a alternate historical setting. Protag is a teenage girl mad on biopunk and flying. The only way she could get both is entering the navy and she did so under a boy's guise. You could borrow the book from a library. There're two other sequels to the first.

Dashing Dalish Rogue finally made it out of the Deep Road.
That place has way too many spiders, deep stalkers and darkspawns. Also, that other thing *shudder*. We meet another golem, claimed to be Paragon Caradin and that he was transformed into that hunk of metal because he wanted to stop making golems. We also found Ogrhen's wife, she was not right in the head, even Oghren agreed on that. The "sacrifice" she made... *shudder*
The entire thing ended with me with a crown, dead crazy dwarf woman and golem. Oh and Shale, well Shayle, learned a bit more about her past. I'm also stuck with Ogrhen who seems to love the surface. On that I agree with him, way better than being underground all the time.
When all the underground adventuring was done, we went back to Arl Eamon and we are back to Denerim in a nice estate instead of a shabby camp on the roads. I got more errands to do so people support my side against Loghain in the coming Landsmeet. But first, some pilfering is in order. Not that I need more sovereigns, the Deep Roads were full of riches, but you know, I need that new drake armor and other expensive shiny trinkets.
--- I don't like the Deep Road, I don't know if it's because of all the fighting or learning how the darkspawn reproduce. It kills my mood every time and I always keep it for last.

I don't really like the idea of sparing him just because he is the same race you are. As a Dalish elf Warden, you may have an "us versus them" mentality towards shems, aka humans. You may look upon any elven face - even that of an assassin - as a potential ally. In general, what's your PC's attitude towards giving people second chances? If he/she frees Sten after he massacres a bunch of people over a missing sword, then recruiting Zev is consistent with that. A "law and order" PC, OTOH, would leave Sten in his cell and execute Zev.

The thing with Sten is that he had already demonstrated his resolve to atone by surrendering to the authorities without fighting, which the reverend mother can confirm. However's Zevran's change of allegiance is just too sudden and unlike Sten, he hadn't done anything that might prove the honesty in his words.

However's Zevran's change of allegiance is just too sudden for it to be believed. A valid way of looking at it. One could also say that Zev's cooperative manner after being revived does make the PC think about whether he/she should take a chance on him. He answers all your questions and turns on the charm. He's no longer just a faceless killer but a real person. (A rather flawed person; he's an assassin after all!)

I'm self-taught hobbyist with little-to-none motivation to practice regularly I was supposed to learn for test about methodology of social surveys (which turned out to be really easy) and ended up drawing instead :poker:

I think in the end it's a personal decision, I just thought, you were looking for reasons to spare or to kill him and I was trying to provide a reason to let him live. If you like to kill him there are enough reasons too. As a Dalish, you might look down on the 'flat-ears' and more so on 'flat-ears', that kill for a human. Or maybe just plain and simple 'I don't like him' Eitehr way, I would be glad to know your decision RascothWow - that is self taught? It really looks great.

Inara finished Here lies the abyss. Before that, she was in the Hissing Waste, cleaning it of Ventatori. Then she meet up with Hawke and Loghain to investigate the wardens, which lead to the funny fade trip. Her fearless (...full) companions were Iron Bull, Dorian and Cole. It was fun for the whole family - demons, madness and spiders included. At the end, Loghain stayed in the fade to face the big spider. Back in the real world, Inara decided to make the wardens allies. This way, she has at least some control over their doing. That Venatori mage got executed, despite Inara being against killing prisoners normally. But he is just too dangerous, so it was either making him tranquil or killing him. Inara thought, killing him were the cleaner punishment. Team Badass More Team Badass Well...not so much badass Team WTF (yes, the giant spider appeared) Mischief accomplished

Yeah, except for Morrigan, they screwed up rest of DAO's cast. DA2 characters got better end of a deal ( except for default Hawke, wtf). I mean, look at Isabela.

I think Alistair, Anora, and Teagan look off the most of the characters from DAO that were in DAI. In Loghain's case it just looks like he trimmed his hair. Morrigan and Leliana are at least recognizable. I wonder what DAI would have done to Oghren or Sten.
