... you could also not lie to Athenriel so she will ambush you as well and you get both. (Like Sonya's route, just the other was around...) I like to do this with Hawkes who, despite all the Act1 stuff, have little patience for seedy underworlders. As for making Kirkwall a better place... well, I would ask Viscount Varric as of 9:40-something if something came of it. To be honest, I'm actually less interested in gold or even loot (the best stuff is usually either tied to specific places or modded in, except perhaps for Cold-Blooded and the Ring of the Ferryman, these are true cash-gates), but I'm a sucker for XP and talent/attribute points. At times, I did reload when hitting a trap. Traps shouldn't give XP, it messes with gaming OCD.
Oh, and I like that freckleface you made up there. My readhead Hawke gets jealous. Fair point, I might do that with my next Hawke... And traps are evil...especially the ones in the Deep Roads in that room with the ogre...you need 30 cunning to spot them all, usually Varric doesn't have 30 by the time I get there
And thanks, I like her too...it's funny 'cause my Tabris also has freckles oh and a cheek scar 'cause...she's a rogue For me it's a bit of a rule that rogues (and warriors) need at least some scars to reflect them getting hit more often. Clearl yyou rrogues aren't sneaky enough then

I just tend to lure the oaf out, down the stairs and into my own trap, i.e. firing squad. At times I tend to blatantly cheat rogue stuff by having a modded item with the improved lockpicking and disarming modifers and some bonus to cunning.
You know... is a scar sign for experience or that you cannot dodge (as a rogue)? Though getting hit on the helmet and have it driven into your face could also lead to... injuries. I tend to favour smaller scratches instead of gashes, though I guess blades usually leave more of the latter.

Clearl yyou rrogues aren't sneaky enough then For my Tabris I like to imagine it as a scar she got while protecting someone else (possibly even earned during the origin whilst fighting her way through the Denerim estate to reach Shianni and the other women). She's actually really proud of that scar, and likes to show it of to people so that she can pretend she isn't as afraid as she appears to be (she's actually pretty terrified upon first leaving the Alienage, kinda clinging to Duncan 'cause he's the first shem who was semi nice to her).

I tend to favour smaller scratches instead of gashes, though I guess blades usually leave more of the latter. I tend to make it charge once by peeking around the corner, then charge in with everyone else. So I like to imagine the ogre being all: haha! There's only one of...holy sh*t! 0_0
My Tabris has one gash on her right cheek, that as I say above to sjsharp, she got while protecting someone else...probably Soris, he seems like the type to rush in and then be all 'oh damn I think I mistook this action'

as for making Kirkwall a better place...we already do that don't we? I tend to nickname Hawke's team the 'cleaning crew' of Kirkwall What does that lady from Red Jenny say? "You are a real street cleaner". No? "Champion" is not the only Hawke's impressive title. At times, I did reload when hitting a trap. I do it all the time if trip over and fail to disarm it. I try to get exp from everywhere and "traps/lock" are all over the place.

Also a sarcastic Hawke often says "making Kirkwall a better place, one enemy at the time" during battle so yeah...they really are making Kirkwall a better place and not just by becoming Champion
I think it's funny how all three protagonists so far have had dealings with the Friends of Red Jenny the Warden can do a small quest for them in Origins, delivering a small painted box to them in Denerim (Sera even references this in Inquisition) Hawke literally works with a Jenny for years to clean out Kirkwall of gangs (also referenced by Sera) and the Inquisitor potentially works with Sera and Charade Amell (who's a Jenny in her home city of Tantervale)

Like Red Jenny thing: in DAO it was unclear first, but was really glad to hear about that box from Sera when asked her about GW in Denerim. Haunted places: in the alienage, Varric's quest, Chateau with Arcane Horror. Helping simple people/elves: there are many such quests but I really like what Dagna says in DAI if GW helped her. Whether you want it or not your character still ends up to be involved into politics. In all three games there are quests where you just refuse to help or can wipe out the whole village/dalish clans/leave people to die. Details, but still make think back to other games and replay them as "I really missed it".

I love Dagna's dialogue if the Warden helped her "a bright light in all that darkness"

For reasons obvious. But yeah, that's a good background story. I don't really rationalise my default face Surana's facial tat. as for making Kirkwall a better place...we already do that don't we? I tend to nickname Hawke's team the 'cleaning crew' of Kirkwall What does that lady from Red Jenny say? "You are a real street cleaner". No? "Champion" is not the only Hawke's impressive title. At least locks patiently wait until you come back. Usually, except for these places which become inaccessible. Yes, I like such things going through all three games one way or another. and let's not forget having to deal with darkspawn and Witches of the Wild in one shape or another I wonder what they'll do for DA4 now that Flemeth is kinda gone (I'm kinda hoping Yavana or maybe one of Flemeth's other daughter's shows up) Flemeth is one of those character I really would like to see in all games. We see her very rare so it is fine to involve her in DA4 as in DAT - just some scenes and dialogues with useful content. Not sure about "Flemeth is kinda gone". She is kinda gone, though as I see it: in the cutscene with Solas first we see Flemeth using the mirror sending something through it, somewhere, just like part of herself. So Flemeth - Mythal - is actually alive and seeing her in Yavana vessel for example would be interesting. What Mythal gave to Solas? The power of the Old God she took away from Morrigan's son or, if there is no son, her powers. I love Dagna's dialogue if the Warden helped her "a bright light in all that darkness" Yes, "helping little people" @ Dagna. Convenient words considering in DAI "Dagna + Sera" outcome is possible. Now, if mage Hawke would have a staff looking like a broom... ..then what?

The power of the Old God she took away from Morrigan's son or, if there is no son, her powers. True enough, I mean...she could've done the 'split of a small piece of herself' stunt she pulled in DA2, which is why imo. it makes sense for the Warden to 'kill' Flemeth in Origins. Sure Flemeth is 'gone' as far as the Warden is concerned, but Morrigan confirms in Witch Hunt that Flemeth is a lot more cunning then anyone gives her credit for.
Fast forward to DA2, and we find out Flemeth had split herself in half (probably) and hid part of herself in an amulet which Hawke smuggled out of Ferelden. If asked why she did this, she says 'because I had an appointment to keep' which imo. refers to the quest in Origins where Morrigan sends you to kill Flemeth.
It's likely she did the same at the end of Inquisition, but I guess we'll find out in DA4

I don't think she looks bad, though I personally would've chosen a different hairstyle (I mean...not that there are many (if any) black hairstyles in the game unless you want to go for 50 shades of bald (this game could've used the two/three afro-styles from MEA) Maybe take some inspiration from Vivienne's facial features?

Speaking of Viv, that's probably the actual reason why she is bald. No afro hair styles. In the absence of those, I prefer what my Inquisitor's got rn than hideous short haircuts. If we did have afro styles, I'd go for some nice and long dreads.

I'd love to see longer hairstyles in the future, I mean...we know it can be done as seen in games like Baldur's Gate 3, there's quite a few long hairstyles in that one...and a few afro ones as well.
I remember making an Altmer with dreadlocks in Skyrim once, I had this head canon she was raised in Hammerfell and had adopted the hairstyles of the Redguards

Especially as even in Fifa there's a couple of nice looking ponytail type ones if you'er playing as a female manager. Use them myself in fact.

Like what? good question, as we already discussed it would've been nice if there'd been some afro-styles in the game...(sadly there aren't, unless one uses mods...though you're on console ) maybe the one with the shaved side and braids? (047) I personally use hairstyle D for my own Quizzy, but hairstyle U (the pixie cut) is also quite nice

I've considered it, but she shares the same vallaslin as Dalish from the Chargers. So if I give her that hairtyle, she will look like a color swapped version of the latter. And yep, no mods.

*sigh* the problem of not having unique hairstyles for our characters

I recently 100%'ed every achievement for Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II so, onto Dragon Age Inquisition, with my first playthrough and I'm happy with the way my character turned out:

Yeah I know I use mosd but that's mainly because hair isn' tgreat in DAI. Probably won't use a mod fo rm yquizzy given they'e rgoing t obe male anywa yand I usuall yjust use short styles on my mal equizzy's when playing them. I will likely install a mod for Hawke though as I was going to give her longer hair anyway given my Hawke is using one of the longer styles in DA2.

Through a combination of bugs and bad decisions, I am having an interesting DAO playthrough. I opted not to recruit the dog, Sten, or Leliana. So, I had just Alistair and Morrigan with me when I reached the Circle Tower. Despite having sunk a point into coercion, and having decent cunning, I am failing every persuasion/intimidate check and some dialogue options just aren't appearing. I am not gaining or losing approval with plot or dialogue choices. (They do respond to gifts correctly, though.)
When I asked Wynne what she intended to do, she turned hostile and attacked. I guess she answered my question, but jeez...maybe she heard I didn't save the dog.
Got stuck in the Fade when a pedestal just wouldn't respond and no amount of reloading previous saves would fix it. I exited the game, enabled the console, and teleported myself to the next area.
Rest of the quest went on as normal until the end. Cullen and Morrigan act like I annulled the Circle, but Irving's alive and promising mage support. So I might have the mages but not Wynne.
I should probably delete this character and re-install, but I am interested in seeing how Team Apathy's adventures play out.
