More Jalen.
Dinner with Kelly. My dead fish don't need her to feed them. My crew is running scared. Now they all want to take care of personal business before heading into the relay.
Faulty YMIR mech did some mining. It was destroyed but not before finding me a lot of platinum.
Colony in danger. Literally had to press some buttons to fix a shield. If they can't handle that then there's no way the colony will survive.
Jack's turn to find shit in Cerberus. It was the hellhouse where she was tortured as a child to push her biotics to the limit. It worked but after this mission that place no longer exists.
Hit Omega to take care of a few loose ends. A batarian bartender poisoned me. Want to guess how thing things turned out?
Went to the Migrant Fleet to find out what trumped up charges the quarians were making against Tali. It was a mess. A real mess. Tali was innocent. Surprisingly, her accuser, General Koris, has my respect. He wants to avoid war with the geth.
Got some crafts full of resources for Cerberus. About 25% were destroyed by YMIR mechs.
Never played poker while Tali was present. Kind of cool just to get that one line of Tali joining in.
For some reason I'm walking on the wreckage of a ship about to fall off a cliff. The thing went over right about the shuttle grabbed me. Better have been some worthwhile data.

Killed Hock. Kasumi was happy. Saved refinery workers. Zaeed was not happy and I didn't have enough points invested in paragon or renegade to get his loyalty. I don't know if that means he'll die on the suicide mission. Found Grunt, opened his tank, he agreed to work with me and...crash! Yep, this is the fourth point in ME2 where the game has crashed: Archangel while looking through the scope, Stolen Memories while trying to confront Hock and again when Kasumi was about to disable his gunship's shields, and now this. This is the most buggy run on ME2 I've ever had. EVER. I'd have probably quit had this sort of thing been going on in early 2016 when I first started playing. Yeah the las tplaythrough I did of ME2 was pretty buggy kept crashing a lot on Illium when going through that corridor under Liara's office and also when trying to get back to the Normand ywhen finishing Kasumi's quest or on the Shadow Broker ship doing stuff. Upuntil recently it has been the most stable of the 3 games but nowadays it spends moer time crashing than working. Though tbh hte Black blocks glitch that happened in ME1 was due t omy old system and no tthe game outside of that al 3 of the games worked pretty solid. ME3 is probably the most stable one now. Though ME1 performs much better on my newer system

Jalen. Strictly Illium.
Docking fees paid by Liara. Unexpected. Met an asari who passed on a message from the rachni queen. Hope this means she'll be a friend when I need her.
Gianna Parasini from Noveria was also hanging around. Asked for my help catching a smuggler.
Conrad Verner was trying to get the owner of a bar to hand over the deed to the place because they have a red sand ring. Only problem is that red sand isn't illegal and he has no authority to do anything, even if we were in Council space. I'll deal with him later.
Now it's time to help Miranda with her sister. Evil Dad was trying to kidnap Oriana. It was a big mess - like every mission my squad needs help with - but she was happy with the results.

Went back to my half-abandoned trilogy playthrough as Male Earthborn Ruthless Infiltrator Paragade Shepard, and completed Samara's and Garrus' loyalty missions. Let Samara kill Morrin after expertly stringing her along. The line "Today I killed the smartest and bravest of my daughters." always gets me. Then I let Garrus kill Sidonis, on the grounds that if Jacob or Miranda betrayed the crew resulting in everyone's deaths then I would put a bullet in their brains without hesitation, and Garrus wouldn't moralize at me while helping me set it up. My Shepard tries to stick to higher ideals when it comes to galaxy-changing decisions, but he knows that sometimes there are just things a person has to do. I did give the man a chance to talk and explain his state of mind and say his last words before I stepped aside though, so it ended up feeling like this was just what had to happen and everyone was on board with it. He even thanked me for helping him clear his head before he went. A very poetic moment that I'm sorry I missed on previous playthroughs. Aaaaand had the lovely 'genetic mutt' impulsive kiss moment with Miranda. She and paragade Shep are so perfect for each other. It's going to be such a shame when he refuses her access to Alliance resources and they split up in the next game... But hey, at least they'll both be safer that way, right?

Jackie Shepard (Mantis/Sniper Infiltrator):
1. Kasumi needed help with a heist. Jackie just wanted the Tech Damage upgrade. They both got what they wanted.
2. Went to a prison ship to pick up a prisoner named Jack. The warden tried to sucker Jackie and sell her for credits, so Jackie started a prison riot. In the end, Jackie got Jack, credits, and the warden's head.
I played like garbage, dying repeatedly. Just a lot of stupid mistakes and misjudging how long I could survive out of cover.
Next up: Horizon.

Jackie Shepard (Mantis/Sniper Infiltrator) went to Horizon per The Illusive Man's orders. She arrived just in time to disrupt the Collectors operation to abduct the colony. Mordin's counter measure for the seeker swarms worked. Jackie got the colony's new Anti Aircraft guns operational again which drove off the Collectors. Kaiden was briefly happy to see her again, but then he soured when he found out she was working for Cerberus.
I had some trouble in a few spots where I died a bunch. I actually felt I did better when I let my squadmates die so I could run around the map with Cloak and pick up the Collectors one by one. Bypassed the first Scions+husk rush fight in the final area by sniping the two Scions to death before entering the area. (You kill the Scions before entering the area and the husks will not spawn.)
Next up: Illium and several small missions to trigger the Disabled Collector Ship.

Helped Thane keep his son out of trouble. As an Earthborn kid who grew up without knowing if he'd ever have a future worth living for himself, Shep developed a sore spot for both Mouse and Kolyat and the whole 'duct rat' situation right away. Made sure to pay Mouse for his help instead of bullying or fast-talking the poor kid, and put a bullet in Kolyat's shoulder to make sure he learned his lesson and wouldn't be getting up to more trouble for the foreseeable future, even if he wasn't going to be punished to the full extent of the law.
Was surprised how much I enjoyed that mission, with Shepard, Thane, Bailey and Garrus all working together to fix old mistakes and steer a vulnerable young man away from the wrong path, all of them trying to do the right thing while knowing that following the system isn't always it.
Playing ME2 back to back with DA2, I'm honestly a little shocked at how much more sensitive and heartfelt the writing is in this game. The world is so much more cohesive and fleshed-out, and the characters all feel much more human, and their troubles so much more relatable. It's really good to be back. Obviously it's harder to write fantasy in a grounded way than it is 20-minutes-into-the-future sci-fi, but a detail like the duct rats is exactly the sort of thing that could have turned Darktown into a real place instead of just "the really shitty part of town where Anders pretends to hide".
Also helped Grunt with his hormonal issues and stopped Maelon's experiments. Sebastian Shepard is a little uncertain about the Genophage issue. He jives pretty well with the Krogan, and the idea of throwing an entire species down the drain because of a violent past and a little excess aggression is inherently offensive to him as a young gangster who turned his life around and helped save the galaxy because someone gave him that chance. And the atmosphere on Tuchanka makes him want to throw up, and wish the Salarians had just outright terminated the Krogan instead. A whole species of angry, desperate, purposeless men with no hope of ever forming a family to fight for. A perversion of nature.
And at the same time, he isn't nearly as knowledgeable about them as Mordin is and hasn't studied the Krogan trajectory as a species before the Genophage to tell whether the Docotor and all his projections might be right about them, so he isn't comfortable with calling the man cruel or wrong exactly. Stranger things have definitely happened.
Now I'm off to get the Admiralty board off of Tali's back. Dirty, penniless, suit-wearing hobos I can deal with, but the Quarians are really trying my patience by adding politically obsessed bureaucrats to the mix. Build a goddamn colony like everybody else you weirdos, instead of floating around in space like trash and whining every time something starts leaking.

Jackie Shepard (Mantis/Sniper Infiltrator): 1. Went to Illium. Helped out Liara with a few things. Helped out Gianna Parsini. Helped out Conrad Verner for some reason (that reason is a store discount). Helped out Shiala. Bought a few things. Scanned some planets.
2. Picked up the Hammerhead. Scanned some planets.
3. Went into a volcano. Escaped from the erupting volcano. Scanned some planets.
4. Went to a Prothean Dig Site. Found a cool floating... ball... thing. And got the third Biotic Damage upgrade, which gave Jackie's squadmates the Biotic Cooldown upgrade. Scanned some planets.
5. Shut down a Geth weather machine. Got the third Damage Protection upgrade which unlocked the Hard Shields upgrade which will help with survivability. Scanned some planets.
6. Shut down a Blood Pack weapons facility. Picked up a Heavy Weapon ammo upgrade, which unlocked the M920 Cain.
Next up: Disabled Collector Ship. Will pick up the Widow sniper rifle as the bonus weapon.

Jackie Shepard boarded a disabled Collector ship. She found out the Collectors were once Prothean, picked up a Widow sniper rifle, and then survived a Collector trap and escaped on the shuttle. Thanks to EDI's data mine of the Collector Ship, Jackie now knows the Collector homeworld is located somewhere within the galactic core. To get there, the Normandy will need an IFF that will allow it to pass through the Omega-4 Relay. Apparently, they may be able to get one on a derelict Reaper that Cerberus had found. But that will have to wait while Jackie continues to build up the team.
Next up: Lair of the Shadow Broker. Gonna need that squadmate power reset terminal once I start doing loyalty missions.

Suicide Mission Casualty Report:Kasumi: Burned to death in the Engine Room when Joker tried to make a dangerous maneuver in tight quarters and a hard impact overloaded the kinetic barriers. Someone forgot to upgrade the ship's shielding. Oops. Jacob: Took a projectile to the face while helping Shepard manually close a hatch, killing him instantly. Had hoped to hear him melt alive in the ventilation shaft, but unfortunately that wasn't how it worked. Zaeed: Shot to death while standing his ground defending a doorway while the second fire team fell back. Revenge may keep you warm at night, but apparently it doesn't help you dodge bullets. Unlike... uh... loyalty? Jack: Carried off by seeker swarms to an undefined but no doubt very painful death just as she was learning to open up to someone and seek more than just survival in life. Very sad. She'll be missed. Kelly Chambers: Ground into paste upon arrival, heroically sacrificing herself so Shepard could deal with the Geth heretics along with Legion and Tali. She'll be remembered, if not exactly missed, for her nosiness and pestering and sugary-sweet attitude. Half of the crew: ....along with Gabbi and the rest of the sorry bastards. To the victorious dead!

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Played some smaller missions to boost XP enough to gain a level so I could get Squad Cryo Ammo: a. Stopped a Blood Pack mining operation on a foggy planet. b. Took the Hammerhead to collect some artifacts protected by the Geth.
2. Went to Liara's apartment. Found another Spectre and a crime scene. After some sleuthing, discovered that Liara went to a trade center.
3. Went to the trade center. Someone bombed the trade center. Fought some Shadow Broker mercs. Discovered the Spectre was working for the Shadow Broker. Gave chase and gunned her down. She lectured me before she died.
4. Liara tracked down the Shadow Broker's whereabouts: a ship flying in a storm to avoid detection. Jackie boarded the ship, killed all the mercs, then killed the Shadow Broker himself. Liara became the new Shadow Broker.
5. Picked up the first of four weapon damage upgrades from the delivery terminal (SMG damage).
I died stupidly in the same stupid spots I always seem to die. Most of the time it is because I am being too aggressive and making really bad tactical decisions. Also missed some elbows in CQC which killed me quickly a few times. I am not really using the Widow enough I think for what is supposed to be a more sniper-focused Infiltrator. I am running around with an SMG a lot in close quarters; a shotgun would have been better obviously but this character (which is a re-import) is supposed to be more sniper-focused in this playthrough.
But there were some great moments where I snipe-killed three goons in rapid succession with some reload canceling shenanigans (snipe 1 > reload-cancel with cloak > snipe 2 > reload cancel with cloak on cooldown > snipe 3). And even though it is not a shotgun, CQC Shiruken is a decent substitute.

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Next calendar day, so got the second of four weapon damage upgrades from the Shadow Broker delivery terminal (assault rifle damage).
2. Took the Hammerhead and gathered some research data on a planet affecte by another Geth weather device.
3. Back to the Shadow Broker ship and got the third of four weapon damage upgrades from the delivery terminal (sniper rifle damage).
4. Discovered a crashed ship that was balancing precariously on a cliff. Managed to recover the logs before it fell off the cliff.
5. Back to the Shadow Broker ship and got the fourth and final weapon damage upgrade (shotgun damage). Talked to Liara.
6. Went shopping for some upgrades on the Citadel, Omega, and Illium.
7. Decided to do Arrival DLC fairly early for the upgrades: a. Broke Amanda Kenson out of a Batarian prison. She told Jackie about the project: a plan to destroy a relay by slamming an asteroid into it. b. Went to the asteroid. Discovered that the Reapers would be arriving in two days if we did not destroy the asteroid. Also found a reaper artifact (Object Rho). It gave Jackie a vision of the Reapers arriving. It also influenced Kenson and the other project members to attack Jackie. c. Could not survive all waves at Object Rho. I cloaked tochange positions, but got staggered by an YMIR rocket, then staggered by a flashbang grenade. I had to take the nearest cover which was too close to another YMIR rocket which took me down. d. Woke up in a containment lab with not much time left before the Reapers were to arrive. Broke out of the containment lab, fought through the facility and activate the project. Tried to warn the Batarian colony but Kenson interrupted. Kenson set the reactors to overload so it would destroy the facility. e. Stabilized the reactors, killed Kenson, escaped on the arriving Normandy. The asteroid destroyed the relay which exploded and destroyed the system. f. Met with Hackett aboard the Normandy. Jackie promised to turn herself in after taking down the Collectors. Hackett wished her luck in her mission.
8. Boarded a ship that had been hijacked by Geth and prevented it from crashing into a colony.
NEXT UP: Recruit Tali, Thane, and Samara, but not necessarily in that order. Then Overlord and loyalty missions.

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Managed to extract Tali alive from a old Quarian settlement overrun with Geth. She agreed to join the Normandy.
2. Went to sunny Tuchanka. Shot some pyjacks. Talked to the new clan leader Wrex about Grunt and a captured Salarian named Maelon. Some idiot named Uvenk was complaining to Wrex, but he stormed off when Wrex mentioned Grunt should undergo the Rite of Passage.
3. Talked to an Urdnot Shaman about Grunt underdating the Rite of Passage. Uvenk tried to block the Rite, but he was overruled. He stormed off again. Helped Grunt complete the Rite, killing a Thresher Maw in the process. Uvenk showed up again. Killed him before he could storm off again.
4. Went into Weyrloc territory to go find Maelon. Killed a bunch of Krogan, Vorcha, and finally clan leader Weyrloc Gould himself. Found Maelon trying to cure the genophage and discovered he had volunteered. Mordin killed him.
5. Went to Omega and helped Patriarch by taking out some Blood Pack goons looking to kill him.
6. Went to Illium to go help Miranda relocate her sister Oriana. Miranda's father had hired a bunch of Eclipse mercs to get Oriana back. Also Miranda's friend Niket had sold out to her father. Miranda killed Niket and Jackie killed the mercs. Oriana was relocated safely with her adoptive parents.
7. While still on Illium, found out Thane was after Nassana Dantius. Jackie went to Dantius Towers to locate Thane. A bunch of Eclipse mercs must have thought that Jackie was the assassin and tried to kill her. That ended predictably. Jackie got to Nassana just in time to watch Thane kill her. Thane agreed to join the Normandy.
NEXT UP: More loyalty missions, Overlord, and recruit Samara.

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Went to the Migrant Fleet to help Tali. To prove her innocence, she helped take back a ship from the Geth. Found data that implicated her father. With some smooth talking, managed to clear Tali of the charges without giving the evidence.
2. Went to the defunct Cerberus facility where had once held Jack. Found some dude named Aresh who was also part of the project as a kid. Aresh was trying to restart the facility. Jackie convinced Jack to let him go. They blew up the facility.
3. Located the distress beacon sent from the Hugo Gernsback, the ship Jacob's father served on. The ship had crashed. Discovered his father Ronald Taylor had become acting captain after the ship crashed and had done some horrible things. Had to fight through guards and mechs but finally managed to confront Jacob's father. Jackie sent for a pickup for the survivors, but not before letting some of them take revenge on Ronald Taylor.
4. Tracked down Fade, whose real name turned out to be Harkin, a scumbag former C-Sec officer Jackie had run into on the Citadel several years ago. Jackie and Garrus fought through several Blue Suns mercs before finally catching up to Harkin. Garrus convinced Harkin to arrange a meeting with Sidonis, then he shot Harkin. Garrus then set up a sniper perch to kill Sidonis. Jackie talked with Sidonis for bit. It was clear that Sidonis was a shell of his former self. Jackie stepped aside and let Garrus take the shot.
5. Managed to stop Thane's son Kolyat from assassinating a politician. Convinced Commander Bailey to let Kolyat work for C-Sec.
6. Helped some Asari by invoking Spectre authority to take them off a no-fly list.
7. Located Samara on Illium. Helped her out by taking out some Eclipse mercs and finding the name of the ship that carried a fugutive she was hunting. In return, Samara agreed to help Jackie with her mission.
8. Traveled to the refinery that Zaeed was hired to liberate. It was taken over by Vito Santiago, a merc that once ran the Blue Suns with Zaeed until he tried to have Zaeed killed. Zaeed set the refinery on fire to try and kill Vito. Jackie saved the workers but that gave Vito enough time to get away. Zaeed was furious, but Jackie convinced him to continue with the mission.
9. Samara tracked down the fugitive to Omega. She was an Ardat-Yakshi named Morinth, her daughter. Jackie managed to flush Morinth out of hiding and Samara killed her. 10. Jackie expressed her romantic interest to Thane. (In the previous import, Jackie romanced Thane. I am trying to make the same choices this playthrough, although I think she is a little less Paragon in this playthrough. I will not be importing into ME3, but I am still trying to make the same choices anyway.)
NEXT UP: Overlord

Helped Wrex, Mordin and 'Eve' cure the Genophage. The mission is always really nice and dramatic, and this time I decided to play it straight. Usually it's way more interesting if Shepard is secretly undermining the operation, especially a mostly Paragon Shepard, because the guilt and cold sweat just heighten the story's intensity to a whole new level. And the confrontations with Mordin and Wrex are heart-wrenching and have some of the best dialogue in the trilogy. Mordin's anguished "I MADE A MISTAKE!" and Shepard's desperate, pleading "The other Krogan aren't like you, Wrex!"... pure gold. Unfortunately, this Shepard saw a little too much of himself in their aggression and aimlessness and longing for hope and purpose. So, Krogan empire it is.

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator) went to investigate Project Overlord to find out why it went silent. The reason: a human-VI hybrid had taken control of the facilities. Jackie aborted the lockdown and manage to shut down the VI. She took the human -- David Archer -- to Grissom Academy.

Convinced the Quarians to stand down and allow the Geth to join us in the fight against the Reapers, which I haven't for a couple of playthroughs. Figured that since Sebastian Shepard had already given the Krogan the benefit of the doubt, might as well try to be openminded again. I managed to thread the needle where it feels more like he's going along with the whole "sentient" thing and trying not to look a gift horse in the mouth until the Reapers are dead.
Have also been discouraging Joker and EDI from getting it on for all sorts of different reasons, and generally the conversational options for that work for a Shepard who doesn't want the unshackled AI to get confused and doesn't want his friend and pilot to get hurt trying to romance a machine. It's still wonky though. The game's... liberal... approach to synthetic life is probably my biggest problem with it.
That said though, I'm really having a blast. ME3 does such a great job of presenting itself as a war story. As someone who generally stays away from shooters I'm always astounded that they managed to do this with the third installment of a sci-fi fantasy RPG franchise of all things.
Refugees and broken families crowding overworked and confused administration workers at the hubs, stories about populations nuking themselves out of existence to escape occupation and the Reapers turning interned prisoners against each other Gulag-style to keep them paralyzed for inhumane experiments, and then Shep being forced to run errands and play politics and scramble for longshot solutions to maybe turn the tide while the galaxy is slowly being culled and casualty reports keep flooding in...
Every time I play this game I get a little more annoyed that the discussion surrounding it when it came out was so totally focused on how strange and unsatisfying the ending seemed, because the people who made it did something incredible and ambitious with the tone, atmosphere and story beats up to that point, and largely pulled it off to perfection.
And thankfully I never got Citadel on the Xbox 360, so I get to complete my playthrough without everything that DLC contains. Javik is a lot of fun though, and a great addition to the cast. If only Liara didn't seem to lose 40 IQ points whenever they're in the same room...

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Boarded the derelict Reaper. Found lots of husks, Scions, and finally the Reaper IFF. Also found a Geth platform that spoke. Took the Geth platform back to the Normandy.
2. Spoke with the Geth platform. It agreed to help the Normandy. It mentioned some issues with "Heretics", Geth that sided with Sovereign and the Reapers. It wanted us to go to their base of operations to locate and destroy a virus that would cause all Geth to join the Reapers.
3. Went to Heretic Station. Destroyed the virus along with the remaining Heretics.
NEXT UP: The suicide mission.

Today in ME3 I held off on doing the Tuchanka bomb missions until I had Ashley back on the Normandy. I can't believe how many times I missed out on her interaction at Normandy's memorial wall. It was pretty touching, and put on new spin on Victus' sacrifice I never thought about before.

Jackie Shepard (Widow Infiltrator): 1. Boarded a shuttle with the squad while the rest of the Normandy did their thing. Then the Collectors came along and did their thing by abducting the Normandy crew. Joker and EDI managed to get the Normandy operational and fly away to safety.
2. Jackie spent some time with Thane.
3. Went through the Omega-4 Relay and tore the Collectors a new one. Destroyed their base.
4. Met with Liara aboard the Normandy for a little chat.
5. While I do not plan on importing this playthrough into ME3, I specced out of all powers just in case.
And so ends the re-import of Jackie Shepard in ME2. One more planned ME2 playthrough to go before the Mass Effect Legendary Edition drops. I may start it later, but probably won't actually start playing until the weekend.

Imported Dimitri Shepard from ME1 into ME2. This is my last planned playthrough before the Legendary Edition drops. I only planned to play Dimitri through ME1 so I could import him into ME2 for a playthrough. I do not plan to import him into ME3, but maybe in the future?
Anyway, Dimitri Shepard is a Soldier. He died/fell into a coma after the Collectors destroyed the Normandy. He later woke up on a Cerberus facility that was under attack by mechs, He escaped the facility with Cerberus operatives Miranda and Jacob. He talked with the Illusive Man, who told Dimitri that human colonies were disappearing and it likely stemmed from the Reapers. Since the Reapers could be involved, Dimitri agreed to help.
Next up: Freedom's Progress, recruit Mordin, shopping, planet scanning, some side missions.

ME3
Have finished non-import PT. Done is done. Import is better in any case, though non-import PT was just another experience with no desire to go through it again - lack of dialogues I used to.
ME2
Revenant Soldier PT - Sam Shepard.
Not much to say.
Have to wait forever CC to get the Revenant. Before that just ran around with Katana practicing to flashbang enemies as can never use it in a proper way. That paid off at least.
As for ARs: Mattock is overpowered, Vindi is not my type, Avenger is great for cutscenes.
After getting Inferno it does not really matter what weapon to use.
Before the Revenant: - got Mordin, Garrus, Jack, Grunt - LM Kasumi, Zaeed - Horizon - several n7 missions - LM Jack, Jacob
Got the Revenant
- CC - LM Miranda - DLC LoftheSB - got Tali
Just barging through missions, one of the fastest class for PT on Insanity. Much fun with that, but sometimes feel stupid as ME2 is the most difficult for me in MET and it is strange to have such fast ME2-PT. Reloaded the game when it glitched - like in DLC e.g.
Play with "whatever-squad".
-- Added: As for DLC LoftheSB - the final encounter with the SB. Claymore Vanguard is the fastest. Claymore Soldier - the second place. Revenant Soldier - the third place. Other Shepards.
At least such way of encounters in my PTs.
ME3 (ME2-import)
Infiltrator
Sniper-team-PT (had that PT in the past as "Javelin-Team-PT"): Ash + Garrus + Shepard.
Got Ash ASAP. Use SR Mantis for now though adore Javelin. Can get the Javelin already, but Mantis works just fine. Maybe stick to it if can resist the Javelin.
