Got Jack's loyalty. She is now the last surviving person from Tetlin.
Recruited Tali and saved the last member of her squad, Kal'Reegar. Jacob continues to be an asshole. "Make sure to introduce yourself to the ship's AI." Asshole
Found one of those ziggurats. Tiny thing. Had a different kind of prothean beacon. It gave me the same old message as the last three times (Eden Prime, Shiala, Virmire). No help.
Went to find Jacob's father. His ship crashed. Ship logs have already mentioned how the officers have raped and beaten the female survivors. Even the doctor was losing her memory! Who wants to have your doctor messed up like that? That would be the people who wanted to rape her. Anyway, the local food caused neural decay, good food was left to rot, and Ronald Taylor was the only person on that goddamned planet to not be affected. Deserves a bullet to the head. We confronted him and left him to his followers while we rescued the rest. Even more satisfying than just shooting him.

FME 2
From recruiting Mordin to meeting Garrus.
God the Mattock is just so awesome. Once more having the debate in my head of where I will go. I mean I was picking off Vorcha with the Mattock from across the map beyond their own 'engagement range'. So yeah just wondering if I should go for the Widow and not the Revenant...but still likely the Revenant considering the clip size of the Mattock is still pretty weak. The other thing is Mantis versus Viper. Just she goes for the Valiant in ME 3 which is closer to the Viper but the Mantis does hit pretty good to. Best of the starter weapons by a lot.
One of these days I am going to have to do a no interrupt play through.

I finished my ME2 playthrough. Like ME1, it was my most paragon playthrough I've done. It's been years since Sidonis wasn't shot by Garrus, hugged Tali when seeing her dead father, had all squadmates loyal as well as havng all recruited. Completing everything before the IFF mission. I usually leave a couple missions to do after the IFF. A very long time since I've completed the broker dlc.

I started ME3 right after finishing ME2. I spent a couple minutes to download a couple mods to make sure everything works. The above image says Alenko survived Virmire. I had a mod for both A/K to survive. When using that mod, it will default to mentioning Alenko. I also used the same-sex mod to romance Ashley. I even got a hug from her on Horizon. The below image shows several Alliance gunships in the spot before they're destroyed as the reaper lands. Why I pointed this out is because I've never noticed that before in all the ME3 playthroughs I've done. I never paid attention when I played the remaster on the ps4. I wondering if it was added with the legendary edition?

For those who may have noticed, when gaining control of Shepard at the beginning, and looking down to the ground, people are seen fleeing the area. Even with the remaster, this looks bad. I downloaded this mod allowing my Shepard to wear any casual outfit and move at normal speed during the dream sequence This is my starting number of war assets when first seeing them. The number is high. I downloaded this mod. Even without it, I planned on doing everything. I wasn't worried about getting the breath scene. I'm curious how high my ems will be at the end with the mod Samantha with long hair When I imported my character from ME1 into ME2, I had to make a few tweaks. It was importing into ME3 that I had to make the most changes. Unreal engine 3 was used for all 3 games. Is it/was it that hard to import the exact same looks into each game? I'm just curious.

I guess EDI and everyone else who were worried about the consequences had no idea what Shepard was capable of. Maybe next time. My current Shep isn't renegade but he's been making a lot more renegade decisions than ever.

I forgot to mention some stuff I did last night. Let's see if I can remember.
Recruited Samara and made her loyal.
Made Tali loyal. Never before have I told the Admiralty Board I was leaving and that using Tali for their political ends was bullshit. Looooved it.
I'm sure some minor stuff. Just got the the Citadel. First priority: Spices for the chef. Then I tracked down Kolyat and am about to tail some anti-human jerk.

Did feros. Sorted out zhus hopes problems, retrieved data for Hossle, shot Ethan Jeong in the face ( did feros first and didn't have enough persuade to save him, oh well no big loss) didn't want to stop and ask the colonists to breathe deeply but begrudgingly used the grenades anyway. Saved all 16 colonists. Argued with a plant. Nothing's ever simple is it. Destroyed the thorian. Got my brain scrambled like an egg. Spared shiala. Went to nodacrux. Spent 15 minutes trying to find the facility. Killed a few creepers and found dr Ross and her team. Shepard was tempted to just kill them and be done with it but a flash of credits immediately changed his mind. Earthborn Shepard is susceptible to bribes.

Got MELE downloaded, verified, and installed, then started a new game. So, meet Raven Shepard, Colonist and Sole Survivor, Sentinel class. I am undecided if I want to play my headcanon for her.....it's pretty depressing. She should actually be an engineer in that case, but I want to try to get as many cheevos as possible this first go-round. I picked Veteran difficulty since I expect some hotkey mishaps along the way, but I didn't want it to be too easy.
Joker's comment is spot on
I took these via Steam hotkey not photo-mode. That's as far as I got, with Raven on her way to see Capt. Anderson and Nihlus.

I forgot I had fish. They all died. I installed the Aquarium VI mod for ME2. Now they're survive. Really glad space hamster is an independent being. Thane is loyal. Felt bad about hitting that stock boy in the gut. Garrus is loyal. Sidonis is dead. I accidentally saved Harkin for a leg wound. Grunt is loyal and some lame krogan who thought he was going to control him is dead. Just had to kill a thresher maw. As if I hadn't done that half a dozen times two years ago. Though I admit the Mako's canons helped. A little. Also, Grunt didn't like him when I told him he couldn't join another clam. Mordin is loyal. Maelon survived, data intact. Found a giant, shiny marble pretty much like the one from Eletania. The one that gave me visions of prehistoric humans encountering the protheans. This one didn't have a convenient slot in the side for a trinket given to me by the Consort. But when I touched it the thing shrank down dramatically to the size of maybe a beach ball, though it's weight makes it a little much for the beach. Maybe Grunt can play with Wrex on Tuchanka.

If there was ever a time when I wanted to shoot someone until all that was left was gristle on the floor, it was during my encounter with Gavin Archer. He tortured his younger, autistic brother. It was one thing to use him to communicate with the geth but another to jam mental tubes down his throat, keep his eyes pried open with sharp objects and have claw like things attached to his chest. What could even be the purpose of that? Nah, that guy was just sadistic for no reason.
Okay, absolutely every nook and cranny of the galaxy has been explored. All that's left is the IFF. I also picked up a friendly geth. It did things no other geth has ever done. It shot husks, which have typically been associated with the geth. It talked to me. It wore what I have to assume is a piece of my shoulder armor, suggesting individuality of some sort. I took it aboard the SR2. I ignored everyone's advice and had EDI active it. I did. It explained a lot of stuff about geth I never knew, including that each "individual" geth is composed of over a thousand programs. I wonder of the quarians even know this or if instead they evolved on their own. In any case, it wants to join us in opposing heretic geth and the "Old Machines" aka the Reapers. I'm in. Can't be any worse than TIM or Grunt. Or Jacob. Actually, when you think of, even EDI. EDI has proven invaluable. Let's hope "Legion", as EDI named it, works out the same.
Legion needed help with the heretics. We infiltrated their hub and destroyed them. It was kind of like a lobotomy by cutting out a part of them so the healthy bits remained. Not that lobotomies were anything remotely like science but you get the idea.
After the IFF was installed, it needed to be tested. We were sent off - me and every squadmate - while tests were done. Except the Collectors attacked. They kidnapped every member of the crew except Joker. Only by unshackling EDI was he able to save the SR2. I do know from recordings that the crew put their lives on the line to allow Joker to free EDI. I don't know about Cerberus as a whole but these are damn good people and I'm going to rescue them.

So Abigail did through some of her greatest hits last night. Recruited Garrus. Actually it was a little funny on that regard to I was having my usual trouble dealing with the flame throwers hiding behind the corner of one of the shutters. And well I tried to have Miranda go out and be a distract orb for me...and she refused to do it! She just wouldn't go take the fire...I need to have words with her. Somehow I got through it without dying...but then again I am playing on Hardcore. Off to that I kind of forgot I was going to do a few things here and there and was bouncing around the map so...yeah. Abigail with her multiversial knowledge kind of had her heart broken by the rodam expeditions guy and his apathy towards humanity...some of the toughest parts about putting humanity on top. Was concerned about Citadel Fascism. The one with the Salarian nav system became her favorite store on the Citadel, and she accused an Asari of classism. All in a day's work. I think there is a case here that her emotions are a little raw with everything she discovered has happened in the two years that she has been away from the Citadel. Anderson not doing anything. Things getting super tense and fascist. Problems everywhere. Though she dosen't really blame Anderson per se.... but then she did go off a little bit on Khalisa, no punchy punchy, but the renegade option there. I keep forgetting that Abigail when you do that does not mention the fallen ships and their crews and Jennifer Hale says that line so well, but it still works better overall for the headcannon...especially given how much it has blown up in her face. "Don't you dare say I made that call lightly" Which brings me to Patriarch...and something a little odd...gameplay narrative disconnect. To stick it to Aria and since I think she is secretly 1/4 Krogan she has Patriarch go off and take on the problem by himself...and die. But well in a cutscene on the situation if you do help him you defeat the squad with a couple of shots in the cutscene. I know Patriarch is old and got his ass kicked...and maybe unarmed which probably did it. Meh just trying to say maybe he should have won and REALLY stuck it to Aria. Right now still trying to play the fast and lose thing where I make sure I follow my headcannon so Abby trains with her new squad as she recruits them...but I think...hmmm...Jack will probably be next?

Made it to the Collector Base. This place was insane. I had great people with me. Miranda and Garrus separately led two teams. Tali moved through vents to open things up for us. Jack got pushed to her limits holding back Seeker swarms with her biotics. It was amazing. We also rescued every last one of our crew mates and Mordin helped them get safely back to the SR2. Then we followed the tubes to find out where the liquefied remains of ten thousands humans led. There was a human Reaper, or a skeletal version of why. Miranda and Garrus were by my side. Is it surprising that Miranda is one of the people I trust the most? That trust wasn't misplaced. Once the thing was destroyed she defied TIM and resigned. I had earned her loyalty and she mine. Garrus is my BFF so no worries there.
When I walked through the SR2 I actually got a look of respect from Jack of all people. After all this time she finally respects me. In any case, we're now free agents. Got a call from Hackett asking me to take care of something. One of his friends went missing and she was doing some kind of important work. She claimed a Reaper invasion was coming. I guess Harbinger was attacking on two fronts to see which one panned out. Time to close the other door.
It was a shitshow. Evading the batarians and rescuing Kenson was easy. All in a day's work. It was what came after that was a problem. Kenson and her entire project were indoctrinated by something called Object Rho. It was a Reaper artifact and I saw for sure the Reapers were going through the relay in the Bahak system in little more than two days. Their original plan had been to throw an asteroid at the relay to stop the Reapers. Then indoctrination took over and they tried to stop me. They sedated my for two days. I woke up with an hour to spare. That meant I had no time to warn anyone. I hate batariansI like you wouldn't believe but 305,000 of them died when the relay blew up. It's not just the slavers. It's also the kids. Whatever lives they might have had were cut short. Who knows if any of them might have been among those to rebel against their culture of slavery?
Everything was done. All that was left was to go home. I dropped off everyone to wherever they wanted to go. Then me, Joker, Chakwas, Donnelly and Daniel made our way back to Earth. I don't know what happened to them. I just knew it was "protective custody" for me.

Came across Cerberus. A pro human group responsible for kahokus death. Destroyed their research facility and found encrypted files on their activities. Transmitted said files to the shadow broker, it'd be useful to have the broker in my pocket. Discovered this Cerberus group was also responsible for akuze all those years ago. Toombs had a gun on the scientist that conducted experiments on him. Shepard let his emotions get the better of him, something he rarely does.. and let toombs shoot the scientist, toombs than proceeded to shoot himself. Shepard is once again the sole survivor.

Watched Earth get wrecked by Reapers as I flew off in the SR2 with Kaidan and James Vega. Defeating the Collectors and destroying the Bahak System meant nothing.
The Council was useless. Haven't changed since I first met them. But the turian "we have dismissed that claim" councilor said if I rescued their primarch it might move things along, at least with them. Palaven is on fire so I can see why this matters.

Mass Effect 2Hmm...ugh had a lot to talk about and not sure where to start. I think there will be some griping will be coming forth. So yeah recruited Jack now afterall and well...I think it is something I have talked about before buut there is huge narrative gameplay dissonance in Jack's portryal in this quest. She clothelines three YMIR mechs...and is nowhere near as awesome throughout the rest of the game. It just occured to me probably would have been fine if it was only ONE mech but whatever. Shepard did play up the more sympathetic angle this time. Oh yeah and *COUGH* so political messages you don't notice when you are younger but then later on you are like 'probably this is really that political message'. And well private prisons...not going to talk about my opinions here per se other to say I am not entirely for them, but, in this case this is kind of an example of bad allegory. Because they are probably making this message on how bad this institution and this idea is...but then Kurill is just so mustachey evil and then the situation where they are selling Shepard just does not strike me as being actually realistic...which could just be ignorance on my part. Otherwise descent quest though. So...it kind of strikes me as a bit odd to that you can be so aggressive with Jacob so early and then either shut it down or commit to it basically before Horizon. Granted who knows there may be outs in furhter conversations I am too afraid to commit to the 'I want to' option to find out and also besides that's not true she is just messing with him. Which then I also actually occured to me is pretty much the exact mirror of what James does to her later in the series. Hoisted on her own patard, as it were. But yeah here we are we barely know the guy, 'commit to snu snu!' And bumped into the MSV Estevancio in the game which is actually one of the better side quests in the game considering it actually builds on the lore and isn't just entirely random...but man is it hard to get around.

Diana Allers is on the ship One thing I just noticed. Diana Allers gives your 5 war assets. Khalisah al-Jilani gives 10, or maybe even 15, and she never leaves the Citadel! Just proves that, if we couldn't have had Wong, Khalisah would have done more for the war than Allers could ever hope to. And she wouldn't flirt with you and pretend she didn't when you turn her down.
Edit: Khalisah gives 10 war assets, which is still double what Allers gives. If she were on the SR2 instead she'd probably give 15.

So...it kind of strikes me as a bit odd to that you can be so aggressive with Jacob so early and then either shut it down or commit to it basically before Horizon. To be fair, I'm not a fan of Jacob. He's a suck-up most of the time, saluting when he willingly joined a terrorist organization because he didn't like red tape. Then his stupid comment to Tali when she comes aboard. Also didn't trust Shepard with Grunt or Legion, even though Shep was right both times! And his stupidity with the vents - fortunately Miranda called him an idiot. I am so glad that I never play FemShep, though I technically do have a mod for BroShep to flirt with him.

Indeed the thing is you only reall yrealise jus thow truthful that is until you effectively becomke one yourself and see what Spectres have to face. Looking forward to starting a nwe playthrough of the series myself soon. Once I'm don ewit hmy racing games that is.

Forgot one interesting thing when I was on Menae. I got stuck on the cliff side. I just walked off a spot and couldn't move. I was getting ready to go to an earlier save when James moved and shoved me out of the spot. I wonder if this was intentional. I used to sometimes get stuck on crates in ME2 when using Biotic Charge.
It all sucks on Palaven. Got Garrus, got the new Primarch, a general named Victus. I like the guy. He's going to the summit we need to get the turian fleet. Except he needs something: the krogan. The krogan hate the turians and the salarians so it's going to be a hell of a time bringing them all together.
Tevos wouldn't go to the summit because the salarian dalatrass was upset. Yet, the dalatrass was still there. She's a goddamn piece of shit. And that's knowing she was the best of them when I was going up against Sovereign. This is exactly why I refused to give reports to them back then. They're worthless and offer nothing. Hell, TIM gave me more than they did and he's a monster. I can understand where Victus is coming from. He doesn't want to lose his homeworld. Tevos, though? All she needed to do was send a damn asari representative.
Met Jack and helped her rescue a bunch of biotic kids. Pretty good but not frontline material. Which is fine. Not everyone is useful there. Also ran into David, my favorite Archer anyway. He's healthy and fully recovered from the brutal experiments of his brother. It's too bad Gavin hadn't been in one of those piles of corpses I'd see on the Collector ship.
Finally got our summit. Wrex, Victus, the dalatrass and myself. I have authorization to make any deals or alliances that will help. Wrex wanted the cure, Victus was game so long as it got him what he wanted and the dalatrass whined. She bitched about bullies have very friends...did she look in the damn mirror? We found out where survivors from Maelon's experiments were. They were cured and somehow we were going to take that cure and give it to all of the krogan. Given how agitated Wrex was I figured it was best to bring Garrus and Liara along, since they're friendly faces.
Sur'Kesh is like some Garden of Eden. Even their STG base looks like part of the tranquility. Padok Wiks was pro-Genophage cure, we know Maelon was the same and, as it turned out, Mordin had a change of heart on the subject. He'd been the one to leak information about the females to the krogan. Only one survived and, unfortunately, Cerberus learned about her existence. We had to fight to get her to safety and on board the SR2 so Mordin could create the cure using Maelon's data and the krogan female's tissue. Also ran across Kirrahe. Pays to save your allies on Virmire when the whole place was blown to hell.
